Runs perfectly fine on my system, could use some patches, but still. Whoever gives this game score under 7, i don't even take them seriously as gamers. These are just sad angry people who don't know how to enjoy good things. They like to whine about everything and anything. This game is strong candidate for "The Game Awards" nomination. Best game of November 2020.

It's very much an assassin's creed game, more than Odyssey ever could have been. Hidden blade is back, hood is back, one shot assasinations are back. There's only four games from 2020 that i can say truly deserve to be nominated at "The Game Awards", these are : Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Doom Eternal, Half Life Alyx and Assassin's creed Valhalla. Tony Hawk 1+2 Remake was really nice, but come on, all in all it's not that revolutionary.

From graphical standpoint this game is absolute masterclass, they really hit the nail with both Norway and England. This game's soundtrack is one of the most beautiful and relaxing soundtracks i have heard in long time in any video game. Combat is good, cities look interesting enough. There's many places to climb and parkour on. Overall very good.

Absolutely no other gaming company makes these kinds of historical fiction games where you can climb on top of every building, etc. Haters don't care about historical locations at all. They most likely don't even know / care about history that much. They just wanna whine about every game Ubisoft makes, because they think it makes them look cool, but in reality it makes them look stupid, because Assassin's Creed has millions of fans all over the world and they clearly understand the appeal of these games. These are likely more level headed people, so no wonder they don't come to sites like metacritic, they don't even care about places like that. But this site attracts losers who just wanna hate and whine. I Found this news-site from 2017 that was about "fake reviews on AC Origins". Then why has nobody removed all these fake zeros?? Or maybe they don't care anymore, because last of us 2 gets 100s of fake positive and negative reviews every single day. I can say one thing, i will support Ubisoft till the day i die, they make good video games and it's very clear that they get hate because they are popular. If haters would get their way and all these other companies would go away then gaming would be dead because we would get 1 game in 5 years. Because that's all they want. They want only CDprojectred to exist and they hate absolutely everything else and i think i know why. Because they can pirate their games and of course losers will automatically support them. Expand

Valhalla is first good step into the future of Ubisoft, it's really well done game, but now things need to go even further. Really DEEPLY focus on writing, Valhalla is good, go even more deep! Invest more into your products, you have good directors, give them all the freedom the need! I know you can make good stuff, you have done it past, you can do it again, i really believe it.
I believe in you Ubisoft, because i have really liked some of your games (AC 4 Black Flag, AC Unity (after patches obviously), Far Cry 3 and even some Ghost Recon Games, even Watch Dogs 1 was good, even tho it wasn't perfect. I would hate to see you go down like this. What you did in 2019 is unforgivable, but every company messes up at times, In fact all your games have better writing than Fallout 4 or Fallout 76, not that it's good comparison, but just saying. But you need to take Rockstar as your inspiration and i feel, in a way you already do. That's good! Just focus on quality, fix more bugs before release and just do good games. That's all it takes. It's was very much playable already, but needed some work. After today's patch 1.0.4 it's basically perfect. All major issues i had are now fixed and it plays well on any system. Graphics look better than ever, framerate is solid. Amazing game!

All major issues were fixed in today's patch, whoever still gives it anything below 7/10 is not actual Assassin's Creed fan and your opinion doesn't count. It's one of the better Assassin's Creed games ever and if you don't like it, go play your avengers. Keep your hands off this awesomeness, if you give it 0 or 1 out of 10, you clearly don't deserve to play games like this anyway.

AC Valhalla has already sold over 2 million copies, amazing. Game is really awesome, with interesting characters, good voice acting, choices that actually matter, cool story and even romance options.

Easy top 5 game from 2020. There's not much competition even. "Final Fantasy VII Remake", "Doom Eternal" ....ummm.....ummm.... "Ghost of Tsushima" i guess, but it had absolutely one of the worst camera angles ever and it wasn't that interesting, it was just overhyped, because "muh exclusives". But it was good game to beat "Last of Us 2" in sales, so in that regard, i'm happy this gameEasy top 5 game from 2020. There's not much competition even. Anyone who thinks that "Ghost of Tsushima" is better than Valhalla is just delusional Sony fanboy. Go home lol. I'm not saying that "Ghost of Tsushima" is bad game, no it's pretty solid. To be completely honest, it's one of three games (other two are doom eternal and final fantasy 7 remake) i have truly enjoyed in 2020 and even at that, it might take top spot. Yes i'm hardcore Assassin's Creed fan, but it could have been easily boring and grindy like Odyssey, but it isn't It's absolute opposite. Amazing.

Makes me wonder is this like one-off thing for Ubisoft or are like actually back? Because this one is really good, i don't care about god's and monsters, that's clearly side-project. But please make Far Cry 6 good! Please!

I gave up on Ubisoft in 2019, it was pathetic. Breakpoint was huge fail, never do this again.
Seems like they have changed tho, because they are back on track with Valhalla. Longer review coming later.

Enjoyable assassin's creed experience as expected. I knew they can't just fail two years in a row. It would have been end of Ubisoft. Thank god they are back, nobody makes Assassin's Creed games as well as they do (when they get it right) and this time they did!

There are two competing experiences here: that as as Assassin, and that as a Viking, that either on its own feels like it might have been a triumph and better than this good but not great Assass-king hybrid we have.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla effortlessly plants its banner as the best open world RPG available for the new consoles. This Viking epic flexes its gore-soaked, tattooed muscles when it comes to world-building, and medieval England wows with its enchanting untamed vistas. It’s also portioned out at a steady pace and, if not for the repetitive, limited combat, Valhalla could have ranked even higher among our favourite games in the series.

Is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla the best entry in the series yet? Some would be tempted to say so. While the map size might overwhelm some players, it remains an easy game to mainline with the right navigation mode turned on. In fact, the quick load times help to make this an even easier task than in previous generations. This is an iteration of Assassin’s Creed that has a bit of everything from the previous games, as refined as we have seen to date.
