Interesting game. Cities feel full of life and danger. Large landscapes give you feeling of absolute freedom. Combat is more brutal than ever. Some missions are fun, some are boring, but it's like that with every game ever. Overall impressions are very positive, can't wait for DLC's.

Until Resident Evil Village comes out, it's literally only 2020 game that is still worth playing. Doom Eternal got old very fast and i'm not gonna play Tony Hawk 1+2 Remake 24/7. Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the biggest fails of all time. Resident Evil 3 Remake was too short and boring. Last of Us 2 is one of the worst games ever made. Watch Dogs Legion is pathetic. Final Fantasy VII Remake has no reason to play again, even tho good game. Ghost of Tsushima has one of the worst camera angles in any video game ever, so i just can't play it, but it doesn't seem very interesting anyway. Marvel's Avengers is a joke. Mafia 1 Remake had good story, but has one of the emptiest open-worlds ever, there's absolutely nothing to do or explore.

So what's left? Literally only one game - Assassin's Creed Valhalla! It's not best game ever / not best AC game, but at least it's fun enough and DLC's almost look more interesting than main game, so i'm hyped. There's obviously always option to play older games (i do that literally all the time), but this review is for people who want something new.

It's very obvious that more people actually like Valhalla way more than Odyssey. It's their best selling PC game of all time! i just feel Ubisoft fans are hiding in the shadows. They are too mature to argue on internet. They don't care about pointless drama. They just want to enjoy games. But i feel like sometimes Ubisoft fans should fight back stronger. Yeah it's cool you praise these things on reddit, but there's way more important sites and metacritic is one of them.

No youtuber never mentions some random reddit "praise post" but they always show metacriti'c user score and these videos get 100 000's on views. This is manipulation 101. I know it's pathetic, because metacritic user score is most meaningless thing on this planet, but fact is, that these people are using it. It's just bunch of losers, usually some tasteless crackwatch-reddit users who hate on Ubisoft in general. They don't even play their games, they don't even care about their games. They are just pathetic, whiny losers and nothing else.

When Far Cry 6 comes out in few month, i guarantee, bunch of Ubisoft haters (who will never buy Far Cry 6 btw) start giving it 0/10 scores and i feel like this time Ubisoft fans really, really need to fight back. It has gone too far. Cdproject red released most talentless game in 20 years and these people still try to praise it, while hating on Ubisoft's perfectly decent games that actually work. Like i said, these scores don't matter at all, they never did, never will, but i feel like Ubisoft fans (and there are millions) should for once actually try to fight back, even if it's just to annoy these haters. Even that would be worth it.

It has nothing to do with company. Ubisoft has made lots of games i don't care about at all (Breakpoint, Division 2, For Honor, Crew 2) and if Valhalla would be one of these bad games i would ignore it as well, but that's not the case. Valhalla simply isn't bad game. It's just not and nothing, absolutely nothing will change that fact.

This is Assassin's Creed game, just like Black Flag is Assassin's Creed game. Yes it is! Deal with it!

Now it's solid open-world AC game, but sadly it's not better than Black Flag. I just wish story/mission design was more interesting or unique. Black Flag had all kinds of unique mission designs and also story was better. In Valhalla missions aren't that interesting, but there's still many fun ones. But true star of Valhalla is it's open world and freedom to do whatever you feel like. That's what was missing from AC 1 for me, because these games can simply be so much more than just generic assassination games. AC is not and should not be Hitman. AC should be ALWAYS compared to games like GTA or Red Dead Redemption. You can do so much more in these games than just the basic story stuff and that same logic should apply to AC and most people seem to understand that. It seems to be minority who complains that AC is not so linear anymore. Most people seem to like that freedom and more activities. This open world is there for a reason! Might as well fill that open world with content and that's what Ubisoft did in both Black Flag and Valhalla, even Unity and Syndicate. That is the right direction.

All around I’d give this a solid 10/10 A+ and highly recommend, especially if you love the Viking Age, Assassin’s Creed, or looking for an RPG done right, that plays like a third person shooter almost (using arrows and medieval melee weapons though). Like what did some of these people expect from Valhalla? To go back to Assassin's Creed Revelations? Are you kidding me? They would NEVER do that. Never. Most people (all the gamers who never cared about Ezio) started to care about AC when 4th one came out. That huge map, pirate theme and 1715 era was actually interesting. I love how none of these Valhalla haters never mention Black Flag, because it would automatically destroy every argument they possible could have. They know that people like Black Flag. Odyssey was a joke and everyone knows that. Valhalla was step in right direction and that direction was never going to be going back to anything that happened before Black Flag. Assassin's Creed is important and popular because of three games, these are - Black Flag (best map and main character), Unity - (best graphics and parkour) and Origins (it was different from previous ones). So yeah, these are the three options Ubisoft has. They will never go back to AC 1 style and you guys know why? Because it wouldn't sell even half that Valhalla did, that's why. AC 1 is outdated and boring and it never that good anyway, so it's literally time to move on. It is very likely they go back to something like Unity / Syndicate, while having some Black Flag elements like you can still have a boat or something. Odyssey has zero parkour (Valhalla has way more, in comparison at least). Over half of AC 3 map was just forests. There have been so many different kind of locations in AC series over past 10 years, yet some people are acting like Valhalla is first Assassin's Creed ever to have huge map, or have forest areas or whatever else these haters will find issue with.

Truth is Valhalla does parkour better than both Odyssey and Origins. Has better combination of huge forests and Cities, than AC 3. New York was absolutely pathetic in AC 3, in Valhalla you can climb and parkour way more in London + forest areas/mountains are so much better and have more variation than AC 3. Valhalla does so many similar things, that previous games have done and many of them better than last few games, yet somehow now this series is dying? Get out of here with that nonsense. I shouldn't even mention that it's selling better than Origins or Odyssey, but i will, will mention that just to make these haters even angrier.

Either way, from now on I REFUSE to consider these Valhalla haters as an actual Assassin's Creed fans, they simply aren't. So basically whenever i meet someone who claims to like AC series, my first question will always be - DO YOU LIKE VALHALLA and if the answer is NO, then i will just walk away. This is possibly LAST real AC game, so i'm not sure why anyone would even complain about it. Either play it and enjoy the last part in this series or then don't play it. It is what it is. But what it is- big beautiful open world, good graphics, very good voice acting (from male main character, female was meh), historical locations and so on. So yea i don't get the whining, because Ubisoft wont make anything better anyway anymore. This is the last one. My personal opinion so far is it is my favourite AC since AC 2. I have played as the male character and he is very likeable; i struggled with Origins and Odyssey to feel much for the protagonist but i really like Eivor.

I like the platinum my games and this one is a biggy, 120 hours to plat; but it doesnt feel quite as overwhelming as the previous two titles. Also the various collectables and side stories feel much more varied and enjoyable. So much to do, and most if not all are very enjoyable.

Id rate this a 10 but for now it does have a few bugs that can be annoying, but not game breaking that i have experienced. A big game is practical too, because games arent cheap so this can really give you your monies worth.

Overall id say if you like AC this is a must buy; and if you are new to the series then id say its a really good open world action adventure. The lore and history is interesting. I dont think many will be disappointed with this game.

    9/10 - great game

A big, fabulous game with great writing and an engaging storyline. And probably the first AC game with a great ending, and not just danbrownian "duh! aliens!" plot twist.

I think it would be just as good with fewer meaningless side-quests, but then again, no one forced me to do all of them, and there were some gems in those side-stories so it's a small complaint.

The auto-assigned system for the power works great. The combat feels great while using it. The camera doing combat is good if you chose to take off auto-aim. The auto-aim does work but it's only good for finding enemies quickly. I highly suggest not using it while fighting. The main story for this game is very simple but it feels like a lot of drama which keeps the game very entertaining. There is basically family drama within' each city we help. I love the family drama and betrayal aspect of the stories within' each city. It's nice. The graphics for this game is nice on both modes. The framerate mode does have less fog and the snow looks much better when it's falling on quality mode. Both modes are worth spending hours on. Graphics are beautiful in PS5 with rarely hiccups here and there. Gameplay is decent although after a certain level of Power, the challenge decreases significantly, you basically become overpowered at about 350 Power. You can always opt to increase difficulty and it does not impact your achievements, which is nice.

One of the rare games I went full on and collected all trophies and this may give you an idea on how it hooks you up. I spent a total of 120 hrs in game and it easily deserved 9/10 in my scale.

DLC's aside however next step in AC is very critical for the whole franchise. Origins kind of rebooted the gameplay and overall experience and I feel like with Valhalla a "trilogy" was completed. Now it is time to again have significant change in the series, otherwise it may turn into a large, repetitive and at some point, lacking innovation of a series.

I love all the changes made in the game from its previous predecessor. I really love the new exploration mechanics, its new level up system, its loot progression system i love that it changes its appearance and how satisfying each and every loot you get due to the removal of convoluted loot system... i really love how the sidequests works now i love the minigames... the stealth its okay but old ac series are still better. I love the stamina system, i love the idea of dual weapon combo system, i love that the enemies has strength and weakness like in witcher they call it codex. I love the map size, i love that it is more immersive now how quests are triggred and lastly the story is descent so far it is an improvement from odyssey i hope it stay well until its ending. Now the areas i think can still be improve: (1) the graphics, the camera, and animation of battle system it is not an improvement specially it is in next gen ps5, (2) the game can't play both 4k 60fps on ps5 how disappointing, the map its beautiful but its not a drastic improvement from odyssey.

But at the same time the roaming around for them emerges you in the beautifully crafted world.

Throughout my playthrough i encountered a few bugs and had to reload a few times, but nothing major, and this can happen in an open world game of this size.
As far as open world games go, it's not of the level of an RDR2 or H:ZD yet, but it's getting close. If they work on making the side content more engaging in the next title, it could be the perfect open world game.

Combat is awesome, Dual wield being the killler new feature, Lots of different combos and ways to play. The viking ship is pretty neat but generally i go everywhere by horse so it feels a bit uselss unless you are going raiding.

Music is fantastic, sets the mood for each zone nicelely, I found myself turning it up and the combat down a bit to enjoy it, usually i wouldn't bother.

Voice acting grows on you, i've only played as male at first i wasn't impressed but now i can't imagine it being anything else.

Story is great, while the areas you go to are sort of linear due to gear level requirements it still feels like you have lots of choice, I'm absolutely blown away at how much content there really is, With a side story in Asgard the size of DLC, seriously, for the price, this game is insanely dense.

The ending is one of the coolest in my 15+ years experience! Lots of fun in the story arcs as well.

PS5 performance is top-notch. It was the game with which I've migrated from ps4 fat and I've enjoyed the graphics, 4k resolution and fast loading times

As a long standing fan of the series this may have overtaken Black Flag as my favourite. It is very long with a huge, rich map but doesn't feel as bloated as the last couple in the series (especially Odyssey). All in all a great experience.

Excelente título. Não passei nervoso por bugs, a história é muito boa, os personagens no geral são bem construídos e os gráficos são impressionantes. Alguns detalhes deixam a desejar, mas nada que comprometa a experiência.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The best Assassins's Creed game since Black Flag, the best fighting mechanics in the series and finally Darby McDevitt made aweeeeesome plot twists, but still the game is not perfect.Eivor most of the time is stupid,60 hours is too much for the story line and most of England story lines are fillers.Despite the weak parts of the game I liked it very much. There are two competing experiences here: that as as Assassin, and that as a Viking, that either on its own feels like it might have been a triumph and better than this good but not great Assass-king hybrid we have.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla effortlessly plants its banner as the best open world RPG available for the new consoles. This Viking epic flexes its gore-soaked, tattooed muscles when it comes to world-building, and medieval England wows with its enchanting untamed vistas. It’s also portioned out at a steady pace and, if not for the repetitive, limited combat, Valhalla could have ranked even higher among our favourite games in the series.

Is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla the best entry in the series yet? Some would be tempted to say so. While the map size might overwhelm some players, it remains an easy game to mainline with the right navigation mode turned on. In fact, the quick load times help to make this an even easier task than in previous generations. This is an iteration of Assassin’s Creed that has a bit of everything from the previous games, as refined as we have seen to date.
