Simply amazing graphics fail to make up for the hollow characters, predictable plot line, simple puzzles, and linear in-game play.

At no point of the game is there any real suspense despite a harder than average difficulty setting. All cliff climbing (about 25%) of the game could be complete by a small child. A real disappointment following The Last of Us which was superb. Would not buy.

What icings the cake is that the graphics are some of the best I have ever seen while playing on a console. Before I start my review, I have to say that you 100% must play the first 3 games before playing this one, not to understand what’s going on or to enjoy it, but to get out all of it you can, you need to play those games.
This is a love letter to the fans, a goodbye letter to series, and it’s beautiful.
Uncharted 4 A Thiefs end is a much slower game than the trilogy... there is some cover based shooting sprinkled through this 15 hour campaign, but just sprinkled..
This game is all about storytelling and set pieces…
I’ve cried playing games, but not as much as I’ve cried playing this game
And that isn’t to say anything sad happens, maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t..
But either way knowing this is goodbye, every artifact and picture crushed my soul.
This is a bit of an origins story… How Nathan Drake became a thief, how he learned to do all of the awesome things he does…as well as a full circle
A thief’s end introduced Nathan Drakes older brother Sam,
I knew Sam was a thing thanks to trailers and I didn’t expect to care about him at all.. but it didn’t take long for me to care about him just as much as the other characters I’ve grown with over the past 9 years
Sam gets out of prison and comes to you to help him clear a debt, so you set out with him to find Avery’s Treasure
After a beautiful slow start, the hunt for this treasure is where it really starts to pick up and become that cover shooter we all know and love..
    But again... only sprinkled…
There is much more emphasis on stealth this time around, being able to take out enemies in tall grass…
Having played the campaign on both explorer and crushing mode… crushing mode being first…
I’ve found that crushing mode not only makes you die faster...
But it also makes stealth in this game near impossible, as enemies have an immersion breaking alertness to them…
Many frustrating moments in crushing difficulty that I never experienced in explorer
but the main focus of this game is again the set pieces… the platforming...
I’ve never been a fan of the uncharted platforming mechanics…
It’s still no assassin’s creed, but this is miles better than it’s ever been…
Throwing a grappling hook on the fly, sliding down hills for a boost to make a jump
its exhilarating to pull off a lot of these jump without a 2nd thought...
And if I did fall, I rarely ever feel like I fell because of the game….
The fault felt much more on me than it did in past games…
There is also tons of driving through beautiful locations…
you can even hop out of these open locations to look for something I also am not a huge fan of in uncharted... the collectible treasures…
I personally despise collectibles outside of open world games, simply because for me at least they are the most immersion breaking aspect of any linear style of game…
I’m exploring every cave and crevice, not because I’m intrigued, but because there’s a trophy for finding all the stuff…
Meanwhile the journal entries are done perfectly as a lot of the time they are found naturally, or within the last of us style environmental dialog
Speaking of the last of us,
the influence of that game really sticks out here as the majority of the game you’ll have someone with you to help you overcome the many obstacles this game throws at you.
There is also a competitive online multiplayer with a variety of classes to choose from all having their own weapons and perks like a side kick, or med packs…
There are some pretty annoying microstransactions here to unlock other characters and customization options like alternate costumes and taunts, but thankfully you are able to unlock multiplayer items by earning in game currency throughout matches
While Uncharted 4 may feel more like a 15 hour movie than it does a game, I still feel that this a masterly crafted farewell to one of the greatest series to have ever existed.

Most of the reviews for this title seem to concentrate on how the game looks, rather than the experience. There is absolutely no doubt the game is a well crafted and a lot of time and passion has gone into giving the series it's final chapter. My problems with the game is that it is just so underwhelming. Once the credits rolled I looked back on my adventure, compared it against others of the series and felt hollow. The large scale ridiculous set pieces that the Uncharted series is known for are unfortunately sparse. As a result, it fizzles, instead of bangs. A damp squib. On top of this, the puzzles aren't nearly as well crafted, often only taking a small amount of thought to solve. Most of the game revolves around climbing, walking and shooting, which although was exciting in previous adventures, feels frankly dated. The storyline (no spoilers) does excel, due to Naughty Dog reigning it in a little. With the last of us Naughty Dog have seemed to really hone excellent characterisation and some more poignant, sentimental moments. The same applies here. Overall, the story is not quite as ridiculous as the other games. This foot planted in an element of (far fetched) reality does give it the grounding it needs, but does make it a little dull as a result. It's a good game, enjoyable no doubt. Just don't expect to be as blown away as the critics make out. Expand

Uncharted 4 is a great ending chapter to Drakes story. Naughty Dog has done an amazing job wrapping up the story for most if not all of the main characters, and possibly even setting up a new character to start a new game with.

Uncharted 4 is a great ending chapter to Drakes story. Naughty Dog has done an amazing job wrapping up the story for most if not all of the main characters, and possibly even setting up a new character to start a new game with.

As far as story goes, it feels great. I love all the little cut scenes as Drake as he copes with a normal life. You can really tell that him and Elena miss the adventurous life they both used to live. There is a scene early on in the game where you two sit down on a couch and just talk about things. This may seem slow to some but it felt awesome to me. They do a great job setting up both the story to come and in the past. Now as far as the plot driver, your brother, who has mysteriously never been mentioned before, I felt he was a bit forced in as a character, but Naughty Dog does set up a good reason as why he hasn't been around. Even so he does feel weak as a character to previous characters in the last 3 games. The villain of the game i felt was the best of the 4 games, though the previous villains always felt like weak characters as well.

As far as the game play, it is fun but i feel inventive. Something about the cover just doesn't feel right after playing another Naughty Dog game, Last of Us. Sometimes you will just get stuck on cover when you want to move around to a different side or switch from one to another. I wish this was improved on from the previous games. Another issue with the cover in this game in particular is that they really wanted to show off how great this game looks, and trust me it looks breathtaking. Almost every cover that you come across in the game is destructible. Why is that bad you ask me? Well read on about some of the harder difficulties below.

The gun play feels just as good as Last of Us or other third person shooters like Gears of War, but what kills the action for me is the AI. Both your companion and the enemy AI are very unimpressive. Most enemies will stand out in the open just shooting you, or lobbing grenade after grenade. As the game progresses you will come across shot-gunners and mini-gun guys. They are heavily armored and all they will do is walk slowly to you, even in the open. Other enemies will just rush you, sometimes with more powerful weapons and easily kill you. Most sections you will start out on one of the destructible covers i had mentioned earlier and with the limited ammo you have you cant really take your time as one side you are being pushed and the other just endlessly shoots your cover quickly destroying it. Now don't get me wrong, i love a challenging game, and of course there are easier modes that can be selected, but the actual AI does not try to get you out of cover by moving cover to cover and flanking you, they more just run at you and continually shoot at you.

Another disappointment is that they had added a grenade throwback feature in Uncharted 3, but it is missing once again here. This would of been a really nice feature as enemies will throw them at you....endlessly.

A few things they have added is a rope to swing to new cliffs, making you feel like Tarzan, and a pick that you can stab into some cliffs to climb up, but it doesn't feel as open as the climbing pick from Tomb Raider.

Overall, the reason I play the Uncharted games were for the story, characters, visuals and environment, but the combat leaves something to be desired. The combat is not bad, I just feel it was done better in other Naughty Dog and third person shooters.

If you have played the first 3 or enjoy fantastic characters and story, this is a must by for PS4 owners.

Like the other games in the series, it featured some of the natural faults of parkour controls (here's looking at you, Assassin's Creed) like Nathan not jumping to the handhold you want as well as the annoying typical Uncharted difficulty spike during the final chapters. The story was also somewhat predictable, even in a couple of its twists. However, the sheer excellence this game boasts in every other area is what earns that 10. The story, while predictable at times, is as fun as ever, and the introduction of Nathan's brother Sam is a fun change-up on the Nate/Sully pair. The performances and mo-cap work are as flawless as ever, and the actor's excellent performances really allow us to buy into the story. This also serves as a beautiful end to Nate's saga, with a truly unique epilogue. This is the closest a game has ever come to being full-blown cinema (at least in the games I've played). This is helped along by the absolutely stunning graphics. In 15 years of gaming, I don't think I ever let my mouth drop at visuals...until the opening sequences of Uncharted 4. Seriously, this is one of the most gorgeous and stunning games *ever*. The gameplay is tight and fun. Both stealth and brute force work equally well, but best in tandem. The set pieces are crazy as always, and the final boss battle was probably one of my favorites I've ever played. Last but not least, I've also really enjoyed diving into the multiplayer. Eschewing the traditional leveling system works well in this case, and the cosmetic bonuses are fun ways to utilize progression. All in all, Uncharted 4 is one of my favorite gaming experiences I've ever had. I would recommend ti (and the rest of the series for that matter) to anyone--not just gamers. Expand

Pacing is great; the story starts off slow because it needs to introduce several characters that was in Nate's past but never mentioned in the previous 3 games (Rafe, Sam, Nadine), to make them coherent to the plot, and right after that the game takes off. Animation is gorgeous, facial expression is amazing, and all the characters are love-able (villains included). Some tracks in the game are quality orchestration, but for the most part the rest are not memorable. Gameplay is the typical Uncharted series plus grappling hook but with better animation, so don't expect great innovation in that department. I like the darker tone of this game because it really grounds Nathan Drake and also concludes his saga (unfortunately). A must buy for PS4 gamers. Expand

It is clear that Naughty Dog has taken all of the lessons they learned from the first 3 Uncharted's and The Last Of Us and once again created a masterpiece for the PS4. Nathan Drake's final adventure is perhaps the most engaging and thought-provoking yet, thanks to excellent writing and performances. However, the real strength of Uncharted 4 is the way it is able to combine story and gameplay with such grace. The game can be a little too difficult at times and the climbing controls could be improved, but those concern easily faded away when I was given the choice to engage a situation with stealth or brute force in the game's much larger sandboxes, or when the banter between Nathan, Elena, Sully, or Nathan's brother, Sam put a smile on my face or brought me to edge of tears. While playing Uncharted 4's 12-14 hour story, I never wanted to put the controller down. It's a story about family, self-examination, and even storytelling itself. And to top it all off, there is an engaging and provocative multiplayer in the package as well, with intense gameplay and tons of unlocks. Uncharted 4 is a game that AAA developers can only dream of creating. If this really is the end, Nathan Drake couldn't have asked for a better sendoff. Expand

This game is so far the best game of 2016 and one of the best games on PS4. I haven't played any of the other Uncharted games but I really enjoyed this one. First off, the graphics are amazing. This by far the best looking game on the PS4. The gameplay is great and has a little bit of everything, there is a balanced amount of action and shooting, stealth, puzzles, and parkour. I have to admit some parts are slightly more boring than others. The beginning of the game is a bit slow but then it picks up the pace and the action starts happening. The gunfights are good, and there is a decent amount of guns to use. Some weapons are much better than others though, which isn't really much of a bad thing. The hand-to-hand combat isn't the best and is kinda dull but its not to often. The stealth is simple yet fun. The puzzles are either really hard or really easy but there pretty cool. I have to admit the parkour/climbing isn't all that great and is kinda boring ant too often. But I love the swinging. Its super fun swinging around and killing guys like rambo/spiderman/tarzan/indianajones. The story is great and makes you care about the characters. My only problem is that Sam doesn't appear in any of the other games and you can tell they had to find a way to fit him into the story. But you'd think that since Sam was such an important part in Nathan's life he would have at least been mentioned in other games. Oh well, still a great story. Another thing that bugged me (like I mentioned before) was the boring parkour parts especially towards the end of the game I started getting really bored with the parkour. The multiplayer is pretty fun, but I wouldn't get this game just for the multiplayer. If anybody gives this game a bad review they should be whipped with a giant wet noodle. Definitely worth $60 Thats it. The game may not be perfect but I'm still gonna give it a 10/10 cuz its so good.

honestly its visuals are stunning and thats the reason I will finish it, however the gameplay to me is boring, coming from dark souls 3 and into doom right now, those are games meant to be played, but uncharted 4 is more like a movie with some shooting gameplay in between, presentation is top notch but somehow i just don't feel it in this one... sorry

Originally I was a little annoyed that people (user score) gave this game abysmal ratings so I gave it a 10 and didn't bother writing a review. Anyway, now that I've finished the game I was annoyed enough to come back and change my rating.

This game is pretty good. It doesn't merit a 10 nor a 9 but it certainly doesn't merit anything in the 0-3 range either.

The graphics were as expected, pretty great. Some people are saying it doesn't compare to other games but for me to actually bother taking prtingscreens throughout the whole game, I think its close enough to a 10/10 on graphics.

The ladder and crate mechanic in order to simply delay your progress to add dialogue and to allegedly mask a short game destroys immersion and is completely unnecessary. I say short game because there's a trophy that asks you to finish it in under 6 hours (Took me 15 hours). The dialogue with the characters could have been handled better than using this mechanic, especially since the whole time I kept thinking "use the rope moron" Without spoiling too much the conversations you had while ridding the elevator with your truck was one way to handle it or simply the driving around convos. The crate thing I could've forgiven if it didn't happen so frequently. One of the things I dreaded the most in the entire game wasn't drowning by not finding an exit underwater in time it was, when is the next damn scene where I'm stuck doing nothing for several minutes because of a crate scene. There was one particular event where I instantly figured out what needed to be done yet I had to play along with whatever the creators had in mind until the game basically said "OK you played along with our time sink we'll let you continue".

The pirate story overall was top notch and I really enjoyed it. I really can't say anything bad about how it was presented. As for the non-pirate stuff. The confrontation between the married couple felt sloppy and overall awkward to the point where I figured if they would have just broken up right then and there we could move on with the real story.

The final battle was disappointing because it strongly felt like it was just a rhythm game. If they would have handled it with maybe a bit of action or something and tossed in some "rhythm gaming" in between it wouldn't have been so bad. Still it managed to be intense because, since I avoided social media for several days to escape spoilers, I really had no clue what would happen.

I liked most of the characters however I got to say I was disappointed with the Nadine character. She felt forced and out of place and in the end it felt like they just dropped her out of the game and gave up on her (this isn't very accurate but I don't want to spoil too much). Victor was great as usual but was severely underused, though this is most likely because of the brothers plot so it's almost forgivable.

This game was worth buying but I'm glad the series appears to be over because I don't think I'd buy Uncharted 5 unless they promised to drop the time sinks. At least the artifacts were not obligatory because after awhile I just gave up on them.

Uncharted is a franchise that is a true system-seller for PlayStation. The fourth entry in this franchise does not disappoint and, while not introducing anything new or ground-breaking, A Thief's End provides a satisfying conclusion to the Nathan Drake story.

Firstly, this game and this world is completely and utterly breathtaking. In my opinion, the best looking game of all time as everything from plants and vegetation to fire and explosions look realistic, and the characters during cutscenes look like it is pulled from a movie. The voice-acting is still the best of any game or franchise I've ever played, with a strong performance by Troy Baker adding to the already outstanding cast. The gameplay is solid, and one of my complaints about The Last of Us was that it felt too slow and repetitive, though some parts of this game (Scotland in particular) does feel similar, the gameplay provides enough excitement and variety to keep you interested.

Having said this, there is a part in the game where I completely lost interest. The prologue and early parts of the story you mainly watch, but these are excellent as it shows that Nathan Drake is struggling to cope with retirement. Once the adventure starts and you find yourself climbing and jumping and climbing and jumping it does take a while for the game to re-hook you. Though the characters are so interesting and entertaining, the story as to why Drake's brother Sam has turned up and how he gets Drake back into the business seems a little convenient, and you wonder how any of the aspects were not mentioned in earlier games.

All in all though, I will give Uncharted 4 the same score as I provided The Last of Us, 8/10). Naughty Dog creates gaming experiences and, though The Last of Us tugged at the heart strings slightly more with a more interesting story, Uncharted 4 provides more exciting gameplay and more interesting characters that I personally cared more about. All in all, a very good game that everyone with a PS4 should really experience.

As we've come to expect graphics are incredible. Story is probably the best in the series but the mechanics of this game are now seriously dated. With this new gen ND had a chance to upgrade the traversal and combat and have decided to do nothing but improve animations.

Here's the problem with all of the U games...climbing has NO RISK. No risk equals no reward. No reward EQUALS BOREDOM. This is a cardinal sin of gaming design. You cannot have a mechanic that the player can easily overcome with virtually zero effort.

Every route is telegraphed and often completely linear. Timing is not required, absolutely no skill is required. What should be an incredibly tense "climb" becomes a sightseeing expedition. It's a huge oversight. Climbing was actually perfected in Shadow of the colossus where managing your grip and timing was utterly essential.

In the world of interactive games anything that has no risk should be removed from the game. As a consequence there a many long and tedious sequences of traversal. The new sliding mechanic does NOTHING to alleviate this problem and the game sputters to a seriously anti-climactic finale.

They would have you believe that the world has multiple routes....it doesn't, they're just loops.

Combat engine: well it's seriously wonky and on rails. Rocksteady perfected the multiple enemy combat scenario and no one has come close. For all their technical ability (anyone remember the highly dodgy pub fight in U3?) ND still cannot get this right.

Story: It's probably the best, or most rounded. The problem is I don't want to watch a movie, I want to be a part of one. There simply aren't enough WOWSPLOSIONS considering this is meant to be the series finale.

The game peaks at the mud jeep sequence which is SPECTACULAR. But after that..there's real pacing issues and it's an absolute slog to get to the end. Those final chapters just consist of collapsing buildings/ships...so what...we've seen them all before.

Multiplayer: It is saying something that the MP portion of the game is better than the SP.

And even worse throughout my playthrough (BTW UNCHARTED 2 is still the king) I was wishing we had Last of Us 2 instead of this....

    And BTW I don't own a Xbone1. I'm a Sony fan who's just honest....

The action senes are the best in any game I've ever seen, the level design is so good that I can't distinguish it from real life (Play ch.3 to know what I mean), the gameplay and animations transition perfectly into each other, the character animations are flawless, and the graphics OH MY GOD. I believe they're really pushing the PS4 almost to its exact limit. Graphics really can't get much better than that. Of course graphics arn't the main point of the game. Uncharted 4s story is just unbelievable. The characters are amazing like Elena Fisher, Nathan, Samuel, and Sullivan. Uncharted 4 is more about family and friends than any other. It makes sense because the same people who wrote the game wrote Last of Us, which was all about family and relationships. You feel a true connection which feels weird to say but its true. In the game you dig deeper than ever before into nathans life. Chapter 3 is one of those times you dig deep into Nathans current life, dealing with his past. The chapter is said to be a bit to long but I feel that it was just the right lenghth and pacing for me to really absorb it all. I found it nice to see them living a normal life. The bad guys were kind of interesting but kind of forgot about them for some of the story. But seeing them in action was cool. The puzzles are a real challenge and fun too. The main plot is also great and very emotionaly driven than anything else. The only flaw with the game is the slightly underwelming villins. Plus the multiplayer is a blast to. Expand

If you haven't played any of the uncharted games which there might be quite a bit of those people considering there were a lot of xbox fans that switched to ps4 I highly suggest you play the first 3. Sure, playing the first 3 isn't an absolute must but if you want to appreciate the game (and it's ending even more) you really should play the others, not Golden Abyss though :-) I don't want to spoil anything so I will just say for the sake of the industry you should definitely play this game. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. first off id like to say ignore any reviews that give this game a 0, im not saying it cant have bad scores but people saying its just too much like the older games or has a lackluster story (in their opinion) and then giving it a 0 or 1 is ridiculous. Even if you dont like a game, it does not deserve a 0, especially when you can tell the amount of effort that went into this game. ( there was one review that said naughty just gets praised for graphics and is taking away from lesser known studios who actually put work in to make a game and that one in particular irked me a bit)
anyway, as for my opinion the game is great i mean uncharted has always been a game that was known for crazy set peice action and good characters, but in this game the focus is shifted towards the story a bit more and i think it pays off for fans. I loved the other games, but getting to see more of nates backstory and finding out he has a brother, it was great. It may not be as good for someone new to the series as it starts a bit slower, and is a little slower towards the end ( neither parts are too slow to where is lost interest though) and if you're new you've probably heard about how awesome the set pieces are so you may be dissapointed to see less of those and more focus on the story. However, i think the story is setup well for fans and newcomers, so the game is still great for both. No spoilers in this but i just want to touch on the ending, not the epilogue although it was great. The part where you have you're final encounter with Rafe (not a spoiler, i mean most games end with an encounter with the antagonist), i just wanted to give my thoughts as ive heard mixed feelings about it. I thought it was good, it was very cinematic and caps off rafes character as you see him have like outbursts of anger throughout the game, then he just goes like crazy, while still being like a cocky rich douche with the dialogue during it. The fact that it was kind of a QTE (although its not full on qte) didnt bother me either. I mean what did you want, just Nate running around shooting a bullet sponge? rafe is a normal guy, whose rich and being involved in fencing makes sense) so a sword fight i thought was great, no dumb stealth thing where you had to like flank him and if you went out of stealth you like died instantly. I can see how there would be dissapointment (ok i lied spoilers)............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
with the lack of a main character dying, with the title being "a thief's end". I was fine with it though as even though it was a bit more story focused, its still uncharted where all this crazy **** happens, and tons of things go wrong, but theres a happy ending. So all in all i thought this was a great addition to the franchise and ends it nicely (that epilogue though, hit me right in the feels)
again ignore those people who give it a 0, i mean even if people dont believe its a 10 (and i could see why as there are flaws, i.e box pushing, they just werent enough to deter me from giving it a 10) its not a 0 game by any stretch of the imagination, i mean at its worst id say i could see someone giving it a 7 but any lower than that id say there just ****ting on a game was hyped up, regardless of the fact that for most people it delivered. Who knows maybe they saw a comment that said it was better than dark souls 3 or halo 5 and they got butthurt and gave it a 0 (if you think those are better thats fine, just again that doesnt mean that if this gets more praise, it deserves to be shat on by fanboys of other games)

But the again this is Uncharted game. This game has so many things right, but for me the gun play doesn't work. It's a one trick pony without that one trick. Only thing you can do is sit behind cover and try to pop few rounds in enemies and then try to flank them if they haven't done it before you.
The AI is good in that matter. They try to flank you all the time, throw infinite grenades at you if you sit still too long and the heavies just don't care if you try to shoot them. So they use their tools the best they can, though when you are in tricky situation you don't that many things that you can do.
The only good thing before the combat is stealth. It's way better from the original games and optional. So you can just go pick enemies one By one.

The climbing is also there, but it's like walking vertically, really wasn't that special but it wasn't that bad. The driving sections were quite fun, especially the "puzzle" ones.

So game play is solid, but I really didn't enjoy the gun fights (at the end of the game I hoped I just could skip them.)

When I first got on the Uncharted games trough the collection I was starting to think what is so special about them because people speak so highly of it. I just saw good story with average game play that I didn't enjoy. I hoped they would have come up with new things with this latest game and the reviews were giving it green but again I got disappointed. So this game series wasn't for me in the end.

As a fan of the series and the studio (Last of Us, what a game!), I want to start off with saying that Uncharted 4 is a decent game, but sadly not more than that. Get ready to climb, meet some badguys at a checkpoint, kill the badguys (with an average at best shooting mechanic and a pretty dull arsenal of weapons), look for a place you can climb for 5 minutes, then climb some more. Repeat until game has finished. One of the biggest drawbacks is the lack of innovation. The game is way to similar to its predecessors, and doesn't bring anything new to the table (except for better graphics and a new story).

I must admit I had high expectations, and was disappointed. Barely a 7/10.

Spot on game from all aspects! Graphics, dialog, gameplay are all above and beyond any PS4 game I've played. Naughty Dog really captured what the PS4 can do with Uncharted 4, the details are mind-blowing! Many times I just sat in front of my PS4 just looking at how beautiful the game was. I would highly recommend anyone who owns a PS4 to buy this game!

Uncharted 4 is phenomenal. My favourite game in the series and honestly my favourite game of all time.

However I would suggest that you play the collection before playing this one as you would appreciate it a lot more. It would still be great without playing

Unfortunately after the 2 hours of cut scenes you have to get through to even start the game I was already gutted. If the story was made into a film it would be totally unwatchable and does not even compare to something like National treasure 2 with Nicholas Cage.

The puzzles are completely basic and clichéd where you just twist a few symbols and some secret passage unlocks. Why no one in some of these buildings never thought to push the secret buttons before is not explained or no one cares. At one point you find a long lost tomb which is fully lit with candles?

In the brief moments when you actually control the character you are mostly climbing which requires no skill at all and you just follow the obvious path to your next tedious cut scene. Next minute you are pushing a crate around because you cant climb up a 3 meter gap even though you just previously ascended a 50 meter wall with no problem.

Gunfights are the highlight and unfortunately they are very average. Almost 20 years ago when I shot someone in the foot in Goldeneye on the N64 he hopped around and limped. In U4 you can shoot a man in the face and nothing happens because you did not remove his helmet first.. The only other objective is to collect random objects with no meaning or history to the game.

There is just so much laziness in this game and it seems that all the effort went into the graphics which are absolutely excellent at times.

Graphics & Cinematics: The best so far on PS4. Rather realistic, epically artistic and gorgeous. And physics in game is fantastic. In addition, cinematics like the motorcycle chase is splendid.

Music & Voice-Over: The voice-over is epic as always but the music is comparatively a bit unsatisfactory IMO.

Gameplay: I really can't judge this one since I didn't get my hands on it, but from what I saw I am pretty impressed, though sometimes some puzzles could be a little frustrating(for casual players like me :P). All in all the gameplay seems to be refreshing, including the MP.

Story: IMO, this is the weakest part of the game, and I believe my feeling has a lot to do with the lack of experiencing the sequels.
    1) Obviously UC4 is endowed with numerous nostalgic subtleties which would work perfectly on veteran players. Nonetheless, deprived of the nostalgia, the base story of this particular game is sort of lame IMO. It's decent but it seems to lack some sort of depth or real twist, making the story generally predictable in a way, especially in the latter half, where some chapters seem to be rather repetative. Personally I reckon that UC4 leans too heavily on the nostalgia than on the base story.
    2) UC4 definitely learns a lot from TLOU (Yep, I "finished" TLOU on Youtube too XD). While most of them blend in perfectly, some don't work out too well. TLOU was pretty impressive and those characters successfully passed their emotions to me, and the cinematics were literally my favorite parts. But when it comes to UC4, I find it kind of hard to literally attach to them emotionally. Plus, some cinematics are kind of awkward and tedious IMO.
3)But overall, it wraps up the franchise pretty well. I enjoy it.

Verdict: Though suffer some flaws, the game is still bloody epic with enormous details. Anyone own a PS4 shall get hands on this one(I believe it works best with the Drake Collection : ) I also recommend The Last Of Us).

It is what I think everyone felt when The Last of Us ended, and it is probably the void we will be left with your games to come. And this void is not at all a negative feeling, it is the proof that the studio has come up with something so incredible, so moving, that it played-even if only a minor one-a role in people's life, and the whole team can be incredibly proud of themselves.
This game has everything one could possibly want: a rock-hard plot, detailed, well-developed characters, a great balance between narration and action, an interesting lore based off real-world elements, and, of course, a stunning, incredible level design and sumptuous graphics.
The story is catching, the characters moving and lifelike, the scenery is breathtaking... there is simply nothing wrong with Uncharted 4.
This game is an example of the essence of video games, a powerful statement about what video games should be: a powerful experience which will leave you with durable memories.

PRESENTATION: The graphics have received a MAJOR! downgrade from the first time we saw the game back in 2014. And it definitely has some popping, low res textures, god awful load times, no reflections and stilted animations from time to time, but the game still has some damn good graphics and it can look downright real with the lighting effects, the other 98% of the textures, the motion captured animations, the realistic models, the incredible detail in every place and this game definitely proves that having a varied color palette DOES NOT HINDER THE REALISM OF A GAME!, yes i'm talking to you Gears of War. The sound design is also phenomenal and the voice acting is top-notch.

The game runs at 1080p 30fps and i gotta say that the frame-rate is a bit unstable and there's not many music. The soundtrack overall is very forgettable, but it does help to create the mood.

But of course my thing with Naughty Dog is still present and i still found some glitches, but not to the game breaking level of Uncharted 3.

GAMEPLAY: Since i already reviewed the previus 3 Uncharted games i don't think that i have to explain how the game works (if you want more detail then go see those reviews), instead let's see the new stuff:

Now to shoot you use L2 and R2, instead of L1 and R1, and i gotta say, after playing the first 3 games this feels weird. And another thing is that you can switch the direction of your aiming by pressing X, but i feel like it was an unnecessary addition. And because L2 is for aiming, the grenades are mapped to R1 instead.

And we're back to the AWESOME! Uncharted 2 3D parkour system, THANK YOU!. And now we are full Indiana Jones!. And what i mean by that is that now we have a wip! and we can use it to swing back and forth in walls or in an open space and fall over enemies to do an instant takedown. And to do all of that you just press L1.

Combat has been ticked once again and instead of having just quick time events, we now don't see the buttons on screen, the AI is a lot more smarter and aggressive and your buddies can also help you in combat. Because of these combat is not as useful as in Uncharted 3, but i feel like it was a change for the better, since it balanced the way you attack enemies and it forces you to develop a stragetie.

The stealth works just like before, but now the AI is a lot smarter. And now they have a meter that fills every time they see you. If it gets yellow they will investigate the place and if it's orange then the fire fight begins. To know better the position of the enemies, you can mark them, eliminating some of the pressure and giving more depth to an already polished mechanic.

The puzzles this time around are a lot easier and fewer in quantity...and that kinda sucks.

The weapons and ammunition glow, so you could know the exact location. And now you have press and HOLD the triangle button to get a weapon from the ground, this removes the frustration of picking up a weapon by accident.

Now in certain areas you will slide and change direction at will...for some reason.

There's some vehicles to drive and they control really well...most of the time.

To add more challenge to the cover mechanic, the "cover places" can be destroyed by the enemy, same stuff happens in previus Uncharted games, but they used it alot more here.

You can push things in any direction, instead of waiting for the AI to come and press a button to push something in a straight line.

Now you can grab and inspect objects with the same exact system of The Order 1886 (**** that game tho), so it's not particularly innovative or interesting to do.
We also have character dialog choices, but they are very fake since they don't impact the story in any way.

Just like i said in my Star Fox Zero review. Please IGNORE that 7.8 that Uncharted 4 has in the user reviews. The people giving this game a 0 are just fanboys with no criterion. Uncharted 4 gets a 10/10 for me and i wish the best of luck to Naughty Dog for their next game.

P.S: YOU GET TO PLAY THE ORIGINAL CRASH BANDICOOT!...**** YEAH!!!!

Uncharted 4 takes the best from its predecessors and delivers even more. A beautiful and emotional story coupled with breathtaking action that even the best of blockbuster hollywood films fail to offer. The graphics is easily the best on current generation consoles along with the likes of Star Wars Battlefront (if not better). The sound effects and the beautiful music is brilliant, leaving you to enjoy some of the quieter moments of the game.

The voice actors' performances were so great that I really connected with the lead and the supporting characters.

If you have played the previous three Uncharted games (not counting Golden Abyss), the story and character chemistry will resonate with you in such a way no other games ever have before.

The ending is so satisfying that it has left me teary-eyed but also content in saying farewell to an old friend, knowing he'll be fine with his life.

There have been very few video games that have left me truly content on an emotional level, Uncharted 4 is among those few.

Lots of walking and climbing, little in the way of action. And when you finally get to the action, it's not nearly as satisfying as it was in The Last of Us. This game's greatest strength is its story. When it comes to the game, it's not up to snuff. The graphics do look tremendous, at least.

#Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a VISUALLY PATH-BREAKING MASTERPIECE with some spectacular action scenes, excellent music and a fun gameplay that allows the players to explore around the beautifully designed levels especially the stunning city of LIBERTALIA. Naughty Dog’s attention to even the smallest graphics detail is mind-blowing.

Naughty Dog’s attention to even the smallest graphics detail is mind-blowing.
It is a game where even the gameplay takes a backseat to Naughty Dog’s brilliant storytelling that unravels the mystery through puzzles, with some light hearted moments like Drake’s retired life, married life with Elena, some really emotional moments between the lead characters and plenty of humour which kept me laughing the whole time I was playing unlike any other game.
All these factors makes this game an awesome experience and serves as a perfect send off to NATHAN DRAKE, one of our most beloved gaming characters. Thanks to #Naughty Dog and #Sony for giving us with one of the most memorable franchise for our generation. An Unforgettable Journey !

The story was awesome, getting back to past companions like Sully and Elena. Sam was a good addition with the talent voice of Troy Baker (you'd mistake Nolan and Troy to be brothers) very well acted.

Uncharted 4 is a landmark title that anyone remotely interested in interactive storytelling should invest in. Naughty Dog has once again raised the bar across the industry. Thrilling shootouts, a staggering level of detail, breathtaking visuals and emotional depth come together to make Uncharted 4: A Thief's End a must-play masterpiece.

Stating that the forthcoming game will be the last rendezvous with a popular, charismatic hero is a rare phenomenon. I congratulate Naughty Dog on their courage and in spite of myself keep my fingers crossed for them to stick to their decision. The farewell party they threw for Nate is simply spectacular. This is how I want to remember him, not as an old man who rubbed his joints with pain cream and then found a UFO. Uncharted 4 is a brilliant game and a breathtaking demonstration of what PS4 is capable of. [07/2016, p.56]
