Perfectly blending exploration, problem solving, and Hollywood worthy action, Uncharted 4 is arguably the most balanced game on the market. And let's not forget to mention that aesthetically speaking this game just set a new bar, the graphics are simply breathtaking, and when combined with ultra smooth gameplay you truly feel as if you are controlling the latest summer blockbuster.

Uncharted 4 doesn't stop at an on point campaign, the game's multiplayer is also very satisfying and adds a high level of replay value. While at first seeming somewhat limited (at least in regards to game modes, and maps), the Multiplayer in reality offers a good amount of weapons, add ons, and load out customization that caters to all players no matter if you're a run and gun type or prefer a support role. Did I mention you still have you're grappling hook? You do and it comes in quite handy both for offensive and defensive play. I will admit that the multiplayer is probably not for everybody. If you prefer a rogue style of play, giving little regard to the positioning of your teammates, you probably won't last long. Teamwork is key, and while maybe being a turn off for some players, overall the strategic nature of the matches compliments the multiplayer gameplay very well.

At the end of the day Uncharted 4 is arguably the most polished game on the market and is a joy to play.
I truly cannot find one negative thing to say about it.

The story itself is very good, on-par with Uncharted 2, and the spectacular heavy-action scenes (interleaved with slower exploration scenes) really raised my adrenaline levels. I felt it very fun to play, and I truly recommend it for every action-adventure videogame lover. The only flaws I could spot were the slower nature of introductory levels, as well as that the enemies cannot see my allies when I'm hiding (clearly a design choice). Still, not meaningful to give less than a 10.

There are a few annoying things that naughty dog hasn't ironed out of this game. Like their previous games, they often rely on slowing the player down by trapping them and forcing them to look for boxes to stand on. It gets a little old. The hints are useless and annoying and once activated never stop flashing on the screen, which can become infuriating since they don't help and repeat things the NPCs are also saying repeatedly. Just turn off hints. Look it up if you're that stuck. And finally, the dialogue can get pretty cheesy and some of the twists are a bit predictable. These are all minor complaints that dont detract to much from the game but keep it from reaching 10/10.

Anyone somewhere close to sanity must realise that a tendency somewhere around 9 or 10 is simply the only way to go for this one. Especially those who realy played the game. Beautiful lore presented with stunning visuals and audio, immersive character design and dialogue creating a suck-you-in-and-spit-you-out-atmosphere unparalleled in the genre. Gameplay mechanics are elaborated close to perfection. Only things negative from my pov are the animations, which seem a bit flawed at times, especially when jumping, and the now and then a bit repetitive mission design. Not spoiling to much of the story, but Uncharted 4 opens up with Nathan Drake having retired from the treasure hunting business and seemingly embraced the ordinary life with us now wife Elena. He now owns a house and said mortgage on the house, and for all intents and purposes he is just an average Joe now doing mostly normal salvage work. But this all changes when he learns that his brother Samuel is alive and well and in need of his help using his skills as a treasure hunter.

Between the two writers and the amazing voice talents of both voice actor Troy Baker and Nolan North. It doesn’t take you long to appreciate and get attached to Samuel as Nathan’s brother. He is confident and charismatic, pretty much like his little brother. But he is also clearly in awe of Nathan’s skills and talent as a treasure hunter. Nathan has also done some growing up and maturing since Uncharted 3, he often acts as the voice of reason throughout the story. This is rather jolting in a series known for reckless sense of adventure, but it also clearly demonstrates a level of maturity that Nathan has gained throughout is prior adventures. And that shows a level of commitment by Neil Druckmann and Josh Scherr to the character of Nathan Drake.

But even more importantly we get to see the relationship between Nathan and Elena develop. How as a married couple they battle with their past and current events. And how the current set of events that unfold puts a strain on their relationship. The most touching scene for me in the entire game was when Nathan having just discovered an important new clue, babbles excitedly about it and basically “geek outs” while Elena listens. “That’s incredible,” she says, but you know from the look of love and utter heartbreak on her face that she’s not talking about Nathan’s story he is telling her. But rather Nathan’s addiction to the thrill of the chase, and what it might mean for their own troubled relationship and marriage.

To be able to read that level of emotion from a video game characters face, rather than having them spell out their feelings through voice acting, is an extremely rare achievement in video games. Naughty Dog has always set the bar high for cinematic storytelling in video games (The Last of Us comes to mind). But the digital performances in Uncharted 4, combined with the talented actors providing the characters voices and movements set the bar for the industry standard even higher than I ever could have imagined. The same amount of perfection and polish that went into the motion capture also went into the rest of the game. I lost count the amount of times I just randomly stopped during the game to appropriate the scenery around me.

The game also sports some of the best world design I have ever seen, and I am not over exaggerating here. There’s a painstaking amount of detail that went into every part of Uncharted 4, to the point where I began to worry I wasn’t seeing every last bit of it so I ended up exploring every single nook and cranny while playing for fear of missing out on another amazing vista or view. And like everything else in Uncharted 4, Naughty Dog has vastly improved the combat system. Every combat situation in Uncharted 4 now has multiple solutions, you can either go in guns blazing or take the stealthy approach. There are now multiple paths (Thanks to the more expansive areas) from which you can engage your targets, which you can now tag which is an extremely handy feature.

And both the grappling hook and refined stealth system make it easier to out manoeuvre your enemies, you now have the ability to use your grappling hook in combat and sneak through tall grass. The best encounters in Uncharted 4 plays out like a chess game, with you attempting to find a route to out flank your enemies and gain the upper hand. On the harder difficulty levels you end up dying more than once, but instead of it becoming frustrating like other games it becomes more of a challenge, to see what other route or methods you can use to out-fight and out-flank your enemies.

I can consider the best Playstation 4 title and video game I have played to date and right next to The Last of Us. And when it is all said and done, Uncharted 4 delivers the fan service franchise fans will absolutely love and enjoy. And in the process giving us one of the best send-offs we could have ever asked for Nathan Drake and his crew.

I can proudly say this is the most perfect game ever made. The chapter when Nathan and Elena are at home, eating and then deciding who is going to do the dishes, and they decide to play crash bandicoot. The moment i heard the nostalgic PlayStation 1 open up and then the crash bandicoot screen pop up is the moment i felt like i was back at home, being my 6 year old self, playing crash bandicoot in my old rusty tv in the basement. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expand

    Cons:
    - Climbing can become repetitive, and thus boring, for some people.
    - Some nonsensical ludonarrative dissonance (which actually is even admitted in a PS trophy) elements. Like the fact that the protagonist acts like he is not a killer during cutscenes, but during gameplay sections he can kill dozens (potentially hundreds or thousands for multiple playthroughs) of people just to conclude his quest. This fact broke my immersion while playing. Might happen to the reader too.
    - Unnecessary (and expensive) DLC content (not considered for final score, just pointed here).

    Final Remarks:
Overall the game is a technical masterpiece, but unfortunately only technical. Graphics impress and characters fuel the story with interest, keeping the player invested on the experience. Absolute recommendation to everyone who doesn't mind playing fundamentally linear shooting games, recommended also to players who enjoy short game experiences or even interesting stories.

If you are a fan of the Uncharted series, you will once again be baffled how the dev's could create yet another part of the series, which is in no way less entertaining than the other two. The graphics are so good, that i sometimes saw myself stand motionless in the world, not realizing the cutscene had already ended. The level design is once again almost flawless in what it wants to achieve. I really can't stress enough how much of a masterpiece this game is.
Uncharted 4 has the ability to tell a story as indulging as a game from the Telltale studio, while sticking to an action-heavy gameplay. The scenery also almost made me cream myself at times. Simply stunning level design!! The facial expressions alone remind me of L.A. Noire.. just even better. Its almost lifelike.

The game has the player go from cutscene, to climbing and to (sometimes a little annoying) gunfights in such a manner, that one never gets bored of it. NaughtyDog really knows how to pace a game.
I really can't understand any negative reviews on this site. This game is one of the greats already! Even if there is some critique, it should in my opinion in no way be a negative review... But I guess theres a lot of people here that only have an XBOX and are missing out on this obvious masterpiece.. Sorry about that.

Although this game gets some things wrong, it gets so much right, that the player doesn't even get much time to complain. Its just highlight after highlight. In a good way!

Buy this game. Worth every penny!

Continuing with Drake's intricate story, we get to know a lot more about his background. A story of friendship, love and loyalty that every fan of the series must play.

    *** The good:
Outstanding graphics, several scenes where massive destruction of the environment is involved, great sound effects, frantic QTE's and helpful NPC's. Many unlocks and treasures to discover and massive maps to explore and alternate paths to take, making it the vastest Uncharted game to date.

    *** The bad:
As short as every other Uncharted, it leaves you with cravings for more, as the campaign can be finished in about 8 to 10 hours of gameplay. The story, although emotional, feels cliché at many points. Even when they have fixed some parkour issues, there are still some problems with edge detection. And even when the strong point of Uncharted is the campaign, the multiplayer mode feels too casual and forgettable.

    *** Final comment:
This game is a must for all Uncharted fans out there, and a great addition to the saga. As usual, it's a great example of what the console is capable of doing. The details are numerous and look so smooth you may not even notice they're there. The game is graphically stunning as the environments are enormous.
The multiplayer feels a little bland, although you can spend several hours improving your skills and weapons for additional fun, the maps fall short of variety. If you're new to the saga, although it's not a must, it's recommended you play the first 3 games before trying this one so you understand all the details of the game and the story.

Although it's not perfect, it's an awesome game and as any good book or movie, a collection item.

On day one you wont find dynamic maps, horde mode, co-op , machinima video editing or customization in its multiplayer Nor will you find more than 4 multiplayer modes .What you will find however is a microtransaction store begging you to spend uncharted points the new currency to unlock fan favorites characters from the series . It doesn't take long playing uncharted 4 to find out how much Amy henning meant to this franchise and without spoiling the story lets just say fans will have questions without answers for certain characters that are introduced . To close uncharted 4 is a fantastic game but a lot like Nathan drake's Luck its not perfect yet . naughty dog may have a roadmap plan but even the best roads hit a few bumps now and then as my mini review stands uncharted 4 a thiefs end is a 7/10 game this will change when the dlc is done and the full game is finished by 2017 next year . Gameplay wise it does not take any risks at all, but the once solid gameplay mechanics are polished beyond perfection this time arround. Shooting mechanics are improved, fire arms feel realistic, cover system is more reliable this time arround, climbing and jumping feel more responsive and natural. Uncharted 4 introduces a hook, which leads to some fantastic showcase of Nathan Drake's dexterity, and can be used in combat aswell, making the movement across the battlefield feel natural and spectacular. Stealth mechanics where added in this new entry of the series, altough minimal and basic in functions, they add a layer of depth much needed in the series, and can make your work easier when facing large gropus of enemies, though stealth is not forced upon the player at any time, and there are no real punishments for screwing over a stealth aproach, which is a good thing in these series. Uncharted 4 also showcases semi open world enviroments in some of its chapters, and offer a variety of paths to travel into, which is a neat addition to the game, but nowhere as complex as a sandbox game, but its clear that wasn't the developer's intention here.

Technicalwise, the game is impresive. The graphics are amongst the best i have experienced so far in this generation, standing over games like the Order 1886, Batman Arkham Knight or Bloodborne, at a very solid 30fps, with dips so rare and uncommon they can be labeled unexistent, even at the crazy over the top action set pieces filled with hundreds if not thousands of objects traversing the screen, and many enviromental effects: its a technical masterpiece. Sound design is also great: the voices distort when traversing caves or closed envoriments, so does the sounds of firearms. The atention to detail is exquisite, from one of the most realistic rain effects ever seen, to the underwater explotions lightning the water at the beggining of the game, or the distortion of shadows standing on water, or the surface of water being disturbed by the wind, or the light piercing over the treetops to land on a muddy surface: this is the most alive gaming world yet, when it comes to its enviroments and setting. Facial expresions are extremely realistic, and set a benchmark for games to come in the future.

Story wise the game is also great, but it comes with some pacing problems at the early chapters, but still it does make up for it with great character development and narrative fundations which flourish at the later chapters. Nathan's brother, Sam, ends up being one of the best characters in the series, and its relationship with his brother Nate feels natural and well written, specially by the work of its voice actor, Troy Baker, one of the best in the industry.

This 4th installment of the Uncharted franchise is also the longest, and by its end, the player feels a true sense of closure for one of the gaming industry greatest aventure series. Naughty Dog has proven once again videogames are to be taking seriously, and certainly the next gen begins when Naughty Dog decides to.

Uncharted 4 is a most own for every ps4 owner, and a must play for every gamer out there wise enough to ignore exclusivity and brand borders, in search of one of gaming's most intense adventures yet.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Absolutely amazing game, played the single player twice and have loved every bit of it. It may not live up to the quality of Uncharted 2 but it comes real close and perhaps with the future single player dlc from the triple pack, it can help boost this masterpiece even further. Between the villains of Rafe and Nadine i felt as if i was part of the story as Rafe was a convincing bad guy who had no over the top ambition to kill until right at the very end. Nadine was a great side villain who supported Rafe by acting as a leader for a hired army. Emily Rose did a fantastic job at playing Elena as she showed how the character of Elena had matured over the past few games and really convinced me that she cared about Nate and their future. Nolan North also did a fantastic job as usual with Drake. The only flaw in the characters is Sam as he doesn't end up being as likeable as he was intended to be.
The Multiplayer is completely revamped with new things such as sidekicks, heavy weapon, gear and mysticals. These and the grappling hook all provide a fresh new experience for those multiplayer fans without taking out too much from the game. The main downsight with the multiplayer is the lack of modes and also lack of characters and proper leveling system. However in terms of gameplay the new multiplayer revamp is the smoothest multiplayer that they Naughty Dog have made and i can see myself playing it for months to come.
Now for the ending, after the final battle with Rafe and conversation between the characters, we are treated with an epilogue which starts off brilliantly with Crash Bandicoot. After beating Crash Bandicoot the camera would turn around revealing that Nate and Elena had a daughter named Cassie and that Sully had bought the dog he had promised Nathan (even named it after him as he promised). Cassie Drake would then search around the house looking for Nate and Elena and upon looking around their second house she comes across all of the treasures of their treasure hunting past. Seeing this was absolutely breathtaking and ended up making me cry as i saw all of my memories of the past few games before me.
All in all Uncharted 4 A Thiefs end is a fantastic game and definitely warrants my 10/10. Naughty Dog once again proving they are the top dog in the developing industry
Hoping this game is only Nates end as a fortune hunter and that Cassie can takeover in a future title sometime in the future.

The story was awesome, getting back to past companions like Sully and Elena. Sam was a good addition with the talent voice of Troy Baker (you'd mistake Nolan and Troy to be brothers) very well acted.

The biggest take away for me was the design and quality of the environment. It is unbelievable! The level of detail and the cinematics look so realistic. The physics is great especially driving through the mud and streams with a jeep in Madagascar to swimming under flooded buildings and running through wind and snow in the Scottish Highlands. As Sully would say it "Goddamn"!

I can't put anything to a negative except the lack of Co Op. I thought this was a wasted opportunity as Drake is normally accompanied by another NPC like Sam, Elena or Sully. It would be awesome to play Couch Co Op with a mate and laugh at each others mishaps falling off cliffs and ledges to their violent death.

Multiplayer is really fun but can be a bit better especially the Match finding can take a long time. Lots of content to collect ranging from perks for your guns to visual like Emotes, new skins and costumes. It was great to see the past characters like Flynn, Chloe and Cutter back to play as PvP characters.

Overall, I give this a 9.5 but I'll round it off to a 10 since it is the last of the series and swansong to Drake's adventures (?) ...plus they put in a small PS1 game in there for the old school players like me. Predicting this to be GOTY edging off Dark Souls 3

Note: My 10/10 has nothing to do with MP mode. I never play Uncharted MP; nor do I consider the MP mode in the price paid for the game. That out of the way, here's what I think.

In terms of work and quality, Uncharted 4 easily follows Uncharted 2 as far as the storyline goes, and how that storyline is presented (cutscenes; environments; voice acting; motion capture, etc). To me, Uncharted 4 is a sad, sad gem of a game. I say gem, because it is one of the best games in the PS4/PS3 lifetimes; that's 10 years so far. I say sad, because, well, it is a game born at a time when many gamers want for games to become like a sport: compete, compete, compete. Others want games to replace their reality: VR. And others just want games to be portable, quirky, odd, cartoony fun. Uncharted does not fit into this schema. (SPOILER ALERT) If you are old enough and paid attention, the little easter egg from NaughtyDog found in the game's beginning and epilogue was put there, if anything (beside gauging gamer demand for a return), for gamers who have grown up with the studio to see how a simple platformer featuring a wacky orange tornado creature-man-thing gave rise to the original Uncharted and, eventually, Uncharted 4.

For those who may be confused, simply pay attention to how the game mechanics work... the way that, despite how movie-like the game is and has always been, enemies always seem to work like an old classic video game, in that "shooting gallery" style, and not, for example, like how they work in other 3rd person shooters. Despite all its polishing and great storyline, at its core, Uncharted 4 is still an incredibly beautiful 3rd person platformer. I point this out because so many have called it a "climbing simulator." Of course it is! All 3d platformers are "climbing simulators."

After all is said and done, however, I cannot blame Naughty Dog if some people came to Uncharted 4 from "Last of Us." The two games are more different than they are similar and, no, it's not just the "zombie" thing; Uncharted has had "zombies" in the past. It's definitely the climbing. It's definitely the humor. It's definitely the climbing and the humor. For all intents and purposes, the Uncharted Series never took itself too seriously - except that part in Uncharted 2 where the whole village is decimated and everyone dies - and I'm glad Uncharted 4 provided a decently long, fun game with an engaging, simple storyline. For those who like more in-depth storylines, however, please do pay attention as you play to some of the more "thematic symbolism" in the story. Yes, if you are willing, Uncharted 4 provides a few underlying metaphors which eventually lead to the question Nathan, and anyone with great ambition, must ask themselves: What exactly is it all for in the end?

Perhaps too existential...? Thankfully, the question is only placed before you for a quick moment; this IS a video game after all.

To sum up - in a time when companies are dismembering video games for the sake of money and every best-selling game seems to be owned by EA or Activision/Blizzard, it was quite refreshing to "come out of the water" one final time - so to speak - with "Nate the Great."

Heck id like to say its only true negative is it ends but even then the ending to this game is hands down the best closure TO ANY series ever. This game is a love letter to gamers and a homage to the entire series while managing to have its own self contained story while managing to wrap up ALL questions the series left open in reguards to Nathan drake . This game will take the average gamer any were from 15 to 20 HOURS to finish, I have platinumed every uncharted and on hard it took me 20 hours and 45 mins to complete . My only real complaint is the lack of single player skins and the fact that there isn't any real epic gunfights up until 5-6 hours into the game , and the few that do exist during the first 10 chapters are pretty infuriating due to the fact the AK 47 is the worst damn gun in any videogame ever, it has the recoil of the Kal 7 from uncharted 3. Another minor nitpick the the removal of three features in uncharted 3, first of the brawling system was improved upon in uncharted 3 by adding in a Push feature , this was removed in favor for buddy finishers which are basically the same as a traditional finisher from 2-3 , the only finisher that was removed from three is the " grenade" finisher which had nate pull an enemies grenade clip and push him away for a explosive kill, and ledge take downs are spiced up by making enemy's who are aware of you counter your move by grabbing Nate as he reaches up prompting a triangle QuickTime event to release , and some enemies who are pulled down stealth fully will cling to nates legs , the air take downs from three are back so over all its absence is nullified by the new features . Gun combat is identical to the other games but feels more lively as recoil is much more pronounced , the major REMOVAL is the ability for Nate to throw grenades back which kind of sucks since it was a great feature . but that sums up all of my complaints =) 9.5/10!

If in all the previous parts of Uncharted that romantic line looked as a plot addition and was just ok, here it’s something special – the developers made me to care and worry about them so mad. No idea how they did it but when Nate lied to her, I was feeling myself like it was me. In their tender moments my heart just was smiling all the time and I felt myself immersing my soul in their love.
Nate in Uncharted 4 finally looks alive, it’s not that old badass treasure hunter we all knew – now he has what to lose and it’s easy and painful to see how he must choose between saving his brother and the ones he loves.

Naughty Dog showed us not only a great adventure. They showed a beautiful story about the greatest love you can believe, trust and admire and it’s really special, influential and important.

Uncharted 4, for me, is the most complete game in every aspect, impressive gameplay, a story that makes you want to play one more chapter just to know what happens next, all combined in a imersive world that offers you a huge variaty of ways to play the game, more than one single path that you need to follow to get from point A to B, you can climb, go with your vehicle or just run! I can't remember a game that made me forget everything around me and turn off the real world to be Nathan Drake... " One Last Time! " This game is at the same level of The Last Of Us! The best Uncharted ever made, even better then Among Thieves! I can't get that this is the end.. the last Uncharted ever made, but in one way, i'm glad that this is the last one. You wanna know why? Because it ended in the TOP like it deserves, the same end that The Last of Us had, that make some people beging for one more chapter, and another ones that prefer that it doesn't happen, just because it could destroy what that game ment for us. Short version, buy it, don't even doubt about it, if you have followed Nate story, if you know what Naughty Dog can bring you, just... BUY IT! It's a must have in any gamer that calls himself a true fan. A Masterpiece, thank you Naughty Dog. Goodbye Nathan! Thanks for all the memories and good time, for your amazing story, for all the action scenes, the graphics, the environment, the bad guys, the partners... One last time, THANK YOU! Expand

The visuals are astounding, story is riveting, and gameplay is as perfect as any game ever! I remember playing the 2nd and 3rd ones and thinking how cool it is to be part of a movie where my girlfriend can be as entertained as I am just watching. I really hope they continue the series! I am now playing through Drake's Fortune - remastered for PS4 - loving it but thinking how I can't wait to play through this one a 2nd time. Well done Naughtydog... 10/10

Can't tell you how many times my jaw dropped while playing, whether it was from the stupidly gorgeous vistas that seem to be around every corner that make you want to walk slowly and take it all in, or the absolute bananas set pieces that have Nate surviving one seemingly impossible circumstance after another. It's so nice to see a developer care so much about their games. You can really tell they love Uncharted and their fans, and that the employees at Naughty Dog are treated well. Every inch of this game seems meticulously designed with love.

No matter what platform you favor, you owe it to yourself as a gamer to play Uncharted 4. And if you've played and enjoyed the other Uncharted games, you're in for one hell of a ride.

Uncharted 4 has by far the best and most satisfying gunplay out of this series, hands down. Uncharted 4 has the best level design and stealth during combat sections in this series, hands down. It also has the best multiplayer this series ever has (imo) hands down. These four concepts are perfect in this game, Naughty Dog really refined the gunplay and gameplay in this game nicely. The characters in this game are the same loveable bunch from previous uncharted, except for Sam; and this is where the hiccups begin for this game. You stick with Sam for like 75% of this game, and his character just wasn't very interesting, I didn't care for him. In a game where story rules all, having a character that's generic and rather predictable takes away from game a lot. The villains are also meh in this game, without trying to spoil anything the twist in the story was disappointing and rather predictable. Overall the story teeter'd from predictable to good for me personally, but I did enjoyed the ending. The gameplay overall was pretty good, I loved the open-linear world, it helped added oomph to the gamelength, and most locations were interesting and treasure hunting was great. The combat sections were amazing, I loved the level designs of it, you can approach from so many angles and directions it was very fun, the stealth was a welcome addition (more optiions is never a bad thing). The guns are less wonky, and enemies are less bullet sponges, just overall amazing. The only parts I didn't like was that the game's pacing can get pretty slow, it's borderline walking (or climbing) simulator for major chunks of this game. This wouldn't had been a problem had the game's story was amazing, but it was good and nothing more. The set action pieces for uncharted (it's trademark imo) is pretty good (would've been better had it not been spoiled by game trailers). Overall I did think the game was really good, add in the fun and tactical multiplayer and this is certainly a day one buy with great longevity. 9.0/10. On a personal side note: I also thought this was a great sendoff for the series, because honestly I feel like there's just not much we haven't seen anymore, form this game or genre; anyone who has played all four knows what I'm talking about. It looks better, obviously, but it also has more refined and varied gameplay and a much more mature and emotional plot, while keeping the fun and lightheartdness of the series. Introduction
Uncharted is my favorite video game franchise of all time, so it's safe to say I was extremely excited for Uncharted 4, the final installment in this legendary series of games. I wanted U4 to deliver in emotion, story, graphics, next-generation gamplay and set pieces, and just overall set an example of how to close out a franchise like this. I am undeniably ecstatic to say U4 delivers on all those fronts in Naughty Dog's dependable and amazing fashion. Let's get into why that is.

    Story
I love Uncharted so much for many different reasons but possibly the biggest is all of the games' fantastic story (minus U3 - it was meh compared to the others, but that's a different topic for another time). U4 has the best story out of all four games. The basic plot of this game is that it's been awhile since Nathan Drake has gone on his dangerous, yet exciting adventures. He's living a normal life now. However, Nathan's brother, Sam, returns after a long absence. Nathan is eventually dragged back into the world of treasure-hunting by his brother, but the stakes this time are more personal and "final-installment"-like. I really wanted this game to fully capsize on big, emotional punches, and for the most part, I can say it did that throughout its 15 hour length. I loved Sam's addition to the series. I became attached to their brotherly bond throughout this grand adventure. Nathan is as lovable as ever (obviously). So is Sully and Elena. Speaking of Nate and Elena, they have more time to shine here as a couple more than ever, and the scenes with just them together are some of the best in the entire game. Forgive the cheesiness, please, but it was adorable. Also, I have to bring up the increasingly intriguing treasure storyline here. That too was super great. The characters, their relationships, and the treasure storyline here make this game's story absolutely amazing.

    Graphics
I was on a binge-playing session with this game. When I went outside to do some jobs, I literally couldn't see the difference between this game's graphics and the real-world. No joke. U4 is the best looking game I've ever laid eyes on, and I'm sure it'll keep that title for a long time. Everything is layered with such precious detail. The character's expressions in cutscenes, the way Nate leaves behind footprints, the way the red mud sprays up when driving through it, just...oh my God. This game may be worth it alone for just the graphics.

    Gameplay
Gameplay in U4 has been refined in great and interesting ways, and there has also been a little bit more variety added to this one. I have to bring up the shooting first and foremost. Not only does the shooting itself feel very good, but the shootouts are incredibly dynamic. They're quite challenging, too, which I truly appreciated. The areas in which the shootouts happen are level design at its finest. Climbing and traversing the environment hasn't changed much, but there has been a lot more of that added here, along with the exploration elements. You feel like a true explorer, more so than any other Uncharted. However, that means the set pieces here aren't all over the place like in some of the previous games. I will admit that I was a bit wanting of maybe one or two more. That doesn't mean they're not fantastic, though.

    Review Closing
Uncharted 4 is a masterpiece and is further example that Naughty Dog is the best developer in gaming - stop arguing. You know it's true. I'm sad to see my favorite game series reach its true finale, but all good things must come to an end. Thank you, Naughty Dog, thank you, for creating this incredible franchise.

Think the magic of this series has died for me. Found myself constantly bored while playing it, since climbing seems to take up the vast majority of this one. Stating that the forthcoming game will be the last rendezvous with a popular, charismatic hero is a rare phenomenon. I congratulate Naughty Dog on their courage and in spite of myself keep my fingers crossed for them to stick to their decision. The farewell party they threw for Nate is simply spectacular. This is how I want to remember him, not as an old man who rubbed his joints with pain cream and then found a UFO.
