I don't think I have ever been so pissed at a game's story in my whole life. So basically a He Girl kills one of the most beloved protagonists in gaming history with a golf club, there's a sex scene that not even god would ask for, and an ending that says **** you, I don't care that I made you waste 25 hours of your life and made you feel like **** for something that happened when you were 2 hours in the game. I feel like I have been betrayed by ND like John Snow. Yes, I did love the graphics and I am extremely excited for the future games to have this kind of graphics. The gameplay was pretty good too. But goddamn, this story just made me do a 360 turn, bent me over and shoved all of its terriblenesses up my ass. Especially for a prequel to a game that made me cry 4 times. Literally 4 times! I can't believe how I got jebaited so hard. I mean, have you seen the people reacting to Joel's death? You can literally see the pain in their eyes. I don't even think that it's worth by brain energy to THINK about the paid reviews to be ND's only shield for this game. I would rate this game a -20 if I had the chance. The ending of this game is a joke! it's something to laugh about whenever you hear it. How the hell are you gonna spare the person who killed your father figure in front of you?

    Well if you made it here in my "review" that I'm sure every gamer is thinking about right now, then I want to actually give my true review, in less than 58 words.

    This game is nothing more than a time-waster and plays with your feelings like a fiddle. We were lied to by Neil and Naughty dog through the trailers, and they played with our emotions to see one of the most iconic duo in story gaming, Joel and Ellie. But cross out the Joel part with a golf club.

    The plot of the game is terrible and totally unacceptable. A mandatory ending that doesn't give the player a choice.

    The game is not 0 but it’s not a 10 either. I’ll give it a 4 only for the graphics and some part of the gameplay but the storyline is absolutely horrendous.

It seemed like it was going to be a game of the year contender... until the first 2 hours came and went and they killed off joel like an NPC. From that point on it went from GOTY contender to the worst game of the year. The story was incredibly dull and made absolutely no sense. Possibly the worst story I ever experienced. The ending was bitter sweet. Bitter because it was even worse than when they killed joel and sweet because it was thankfully over. Thank you naughty dog for giving us the worst gaming experience story wise in gaming history.… Expand

Good for her, but most of us knew this from the first game, it was an amazing revelation back then and the subtly leading up to it really made it an amazing moment. The game spends the first two hour reminding how Ellie likes other girls and shows us a ton of intimate moments that adds nothing to the story or Ellie as a character outside of things we knew from 7 years ago.

    Then came the biggest middle finger when Joe, the main character of the first game, gets unceremoniously killed off and turned the game which was known for its story and it’s character development into a revenge story and Joe being relegated to your generic parent who kept secret from his kid and eventually die as a result of the secret. It was the character development between Joe and Ellie that made the first game’s story so interesting yet the game completely throws it away to tell a generic revenge story. Hope those woke points you got to guarantee a good review from critic is worth it because the improved graphic is the only other thing this game has to offer.    … Expand

К сожалению, в плане сюжета , все очень печально, почему то разработчиков потянуло совсем не в то русло, я как фанат первой части ,был поражен, как они просто уничтожили тех героев, которых ты всей душой полюбил. Esse segundo jogo te obrigam a controlar um personagem q vc odeia, e por mais q tentem te fazer se afeiçoar, não funciona e você quer que acabe logo. Em resumo, vc passa metade do jogo com raiva do jogo , pelo o que ele poderia ter sido e não foi simplesmente por que os roteiristas não entenderam o que fez sucesso no primeiro jogo e tomaram decisões burras no segundo...     Where to even begin with this dumpster fire.

    Basically, take everything epic about the first game, remember it vividly and get reminded of it constantly by Naughty Dog, and then throw it out the window because this game is nothing like its predecessor.     It is a hollow shell of what it used to be, and you are constantly reminded of that and how Neil Druckman doesn't like the old vision of the game. I'm well over 30 hours in on an all nighter, and I'm struggling to find a reason to keep playing.

    Of course, there are the people that don't like the character of Abby for certain reasons, but that's not the most egregious offense. No, in fact, the worst offense is the fully motion captured sexual encounter between Abby and the game director's self-insert, comically named Dr. Uckman. I wonder who that could be. How this genuinely bad and unnecessary scene was allowed past the ESRB and put into the game, not even mentioning that it should be landing it an AO rating, is beyond me. It builds nothing character-wise, and as far as I've seen it's never brought back up. There was no story related reason that this should've been in the game, and I feel terrible for the parents that will inevitably watch their children playing this with horror in their eyes. Yes, the game is rated M, but do you really think parents aren't buying their young kids things like GTA or Call of Duty? If you think they aren't, you're very clearly disconnected from reality and you've never played a video game past its surface.

    Another thing that bothers me is the reviews by other companies. 10 out of 10 nearly across the board? These people obviously haven't played the game past the first hour or two, and their opinions shouldn't be considered if this affront to decency is ever nominated for any awards.

    As the biggest fan of the first game, I was extremely excited to play the sequel. For me, the first game was the greatest game in video game history. I expected this game to equal it, or even beat it, but sadly a poor choice of storyline has been horrifically executed, making this the biggest disappointment in gaming history instead. I would get a full refund if I could!

    Game play is good just about the same as the original. My only problem is killing a character just to kill a character and have no conclusion to his death. Dina would have been a much better character to kill and give Ellie a reason to avenge a death and spark a side story to allow you to play as Joel to go an try to stop her.    … Expand

    For those love the characters in the first part, this is just some piece of **** that ruined all the good memories in the series. The last of us is my first PS4 game, the emotional connection between Joel and Ellie is the best gaming experience which cannot replaced by any games. Thanks naughty dog, you ruined my childhood.

We all knew deep down that Joel was going to die in TLOU2. It was pointless for Neil Druckmann to even include the way he was killed. Then the ending. What was the point of the entire game if you don’t get revenge. Ellie has killed hundreds of people before, so why would a flashback stop her from killing her main enemy. I hated Abby until halfway into the game. Then I just didn’t feel any type of way towards her. But for the entire duration of the game they force me to want to feel bad for Abby? It didn’t work. I gotta say, I loved purposefully dying just to see her get mutilated by a pack of infected. Everything else, I loved.     It hurt me to say this but the story of my all time favorite game is so bad i lost the energy to play it anymore i loved the last of us part 1 to my heart can take. And i am very disappointed in ND for ruinning the game for me

Poxa o ‘vilão ’ que mata nosso querido Joel sai impune no final ? Matou o Joel só pq não ia conseguir fazer uma cirurgia de mudança de sexo, totalmente sem sentido. Ellie maconheira Lésbica tudo bem, já sabíamos disso pela DLC last Behind, nenhum problema.

    - El también tomo consejo de Anita Sarkeesian, una conocida charlatana que quiere insertar su ideología en los videojuegos aunque no le guste el medio en realidad.

    - Personajes mujeres hechas feas por la idea de que diseñarlas con rasgos femeninos es "objetificacion" (gracias a Sarkeesian)

    - Naughty Dog abuso del sistema de copyright para tumbar cuentas de Twitter y Youtube que hablaran del juego aunque no incluyera videos. Comentarios son desactivados en Youtube y Twitter para evitar criticas.

    - La hipocresía de Sony al censurar juegos de terceros que incluyen desnudos parciales/fanservice pero dejan escenas sexuales explícitas en TLOU2

    - ND abuso de sus empleados al hacerlos trabajar horas extra y sin pagarles (no se si tiempo después si les pagaron) aún así lo retrasaron cuando el juego ya estaba completo y eso causo que se filtrara (supuestamente por un empleado molesto)

    - Druckmann se insertó como personaje en el juego para escupir el cadáver de Joel y tener sexo con uno de los protagonistas, además en un item donde dice tener 100 de cerebro (imagen)

    - En el juego es imposible disparar a objetos que tengan relación con la religión judía (si no me creen díganme y les paso un vídeo)

    - La historia es una basura, te hacen controlar a un personaje nuevo que mató a uno muy querido. El final es incongruente y anticlimatico.

    - Cualquier crítica hacia el juego es tachado de homofobia o machismo

    - ND usó un cover de una canción por una youtuber sin darle crédito en uno de sus trailers    … Expand

    Nice combat, nice game-play, very nice graphic, next-gen game.
    But all of that, can't be compared to the story.
    The story is fully disrespecting the player and the first game. Forcing the player to play the most hated character is not something people wanted to in a game. if the story was mediocre, i would love to rate this to 7 or 8 because of all the combat, game-play, and graphics.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
