    I think deception is a word that translate the meaning of this DLC of the first game. This is not a new TLOU game, is more like a really sick joke than a game.

    TLOU 1 is my favorite game of all time, I played it a lot, I played at least 7 times the campaign. And I just love everything about It. The mechanics of the game is simply awesome, the plot is extraordinarily immersive and beautyfull, this game make you love all the characters of it. Maria, Tommy, Bill and of course, Joel and Ellie. TLOU 1 tell the history of this duo in a simple and fantastic way, the fights against the enemies and even the discussion of Joel and Ellie is made in a way that everything fits perfect. TLOU 1 is a MASTERPIECE in the plot, in the mechanics of how the game works and how this "New World" is against everyone and obviously, how the characters are built to fit in the game.

    TLOU "Pt. 2" is the very opposite of TLOU 1, the characters are there for the hell of it, however much the mechanics and adds of this new game are really cool, like breaking windows and really modifying your weapons is insane, and the setting is amazing, as the sounds of everything. But this is a game based in the plot, and if the plot is terrible, so the game is just a piece of garbage. It starts by killing my favorite character of all time in a stupid way. JOEL EVEN SAID IN THE FIRST GAME NOT TO TRUST ANYONE, SO HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE THAT HE WOULD JUST BELIEVE IN A TOTAL STRANGER LIKE ABBY!!!! WOW NICE ONE NAUGHTY DOG!!!
    In this game, not like TLOU 1, they don't mind making you like the characters, the developers criated some flat characters and expect that you to care about them, and they expect you to be sad about their deaths, thing that we don’t care about. You are supposed to like and love the new characters, but when they die, you simply ignore it and keep playing. And in the middle of the game, you are forced to play with the killer of Joel, for 9 ****** hours. And they want you to believe that Abby is a good person by forcing events that make it seem like she really is, and of couse, in a terrible way. The final is just horrible, they make Ellie forgive Abby in a trash way, with the excuse that Ellie doesn’t want to become like Abby, Which is honestly idiotic considering everyone who was killed by Ellie. Speaking about Ellie, they took a ready-made protagonist and threw it in the trash, everything that shaped Ellie for a deep character in the first game was thrown in the trash and she turned into a dumb flat character who only thinks of revenge and nothing else. It's frustating how bad the plot of the second game is, this is not a continuation of the masterpiece that was the first game. This is nothing but a bad joke turned into a triple A game. By killing Joel, our beloved protagonist, you simply ignored all the mass of fans of the first game and stepped on your feelings.
    For new people that are playing this game, they could tell that is a great game. But in my opinion, this "sequel" is nothing more than a stupid sick joke, this thing could be called "They Laughed at Us" because the developers did it with the lovers of the first game. They think that making a SJW protagonist is a reason to make the plot horrible, while you play 30 hours of campaign suffering expecting that it ends.
    Last but no Least, there's no reason to force you to like Abby and understand her. i played all the TLOU 1 with Joel, so i love him, and i really care about him, and killing Joel will not make me happy, not at all. Killing Joel means that you ignore the hole thing that was the first game, all the relationships and moments that made Joel a fantastic character, and you put an terrible excuse that "we are goin' to make a game different from all the others". This game sure doesn't deserve the GOTY, TLOU "Pt,
    . 2", as I said a lot of times, is just a joke that need to be forgotten.

    I did not like the game at all and it is not because of the presence of LGBTQ+ characters or a certain death scene. I bought the game on release (so without a discout) and it is pretty expensive in my country. Practically I bought an expensive product that was from my point of view falsely advertised.     Developers did not need to reveal any secrets and stuff about the game - just that small fact. In a lot of countries games cost 1/4 of an average monthly salary and when you pay that huge sum of money you should know what you're paying for, but Naughty Dog even ordered reviewers not to talk about the second half of tha game - it is an absolutely disgusting move. It we only played as this other character for like 20% or less than fine, but we're talking about half of the game, it is unacceptable.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Музыка, графика, физика, дизайн уровней и прочее 10/10. Геймплей из 1 части не сильно изменился 8/10. Высокий уровень сложности вообще не почувствовал, тип это предпоследний по сложности вариант и он не вызвал никаких проблем в прохождении, как-то легко. По сюжету даже хз, когда ты уже думаешь, что вот концовочка и тебе дают еще 40%, от всего времени прохождения, бегать за перекаченную бабу. Блять, каждую секунду за нее ждал, когда ее уже ебнут. И вот, казалось бы, конец все Элли с Диной живет счастливо, Эбби с индейцем ебаным. Но нет, надо было все обосрать окончательно, а то сюжет в центре которого тупо месть, не очень смотрится(думали разрабы). Из неожиданных поворотов сюжета, только 2 момента, когда Эбби 2 раз в театре могла ебнуть Элли и Дину, и когда Элли, в конце, могла ебнуть Эбби. Играют в милосердие в мире наполненным насилием, пиздец. Мало того, что Элли не добила ее, она еще и Дину проебала, с Томми поссорилась, бросила Джексон, проебала 2 пальца и в итоге осталась в одиночестве. 0 друзей, 0 смысла жизни и без дома. Ебал я в рот такие концовки, это слишком мрачно. Вместо лишних часов геймплея за Эбби, лучше бы добавили пару миссий в конце, после возвращения Элли из Санта-Барбары, в которых она бы пыталась найти и восстановить отношения с Диной. Такая концовка была бы лучше. Сюжет 6/10. Если лет через 10 появится желание пройти старые игры и я вспомню о серии the last of us, про 2 часть даже думать не буду.… Expand

    I am sure that many simply did not understand this game. I really liked The Last of Us 2. Largely because of the plot. He's definitely not bad. The game has a lot of unique mechanics, there is a unique physics of shooting, a unique presentation of the plot.

    The VA's aren't the problem here, the game itself is. Metacritic is. The game awards are. This abomination is about as good as E.T. The extra terrestrial for the Atari 2600. The victories were undeserved, lackluster and most of all: "Foul play"

    Gameplay mechanics are great but story is incredibly poor. Unknown what they did with the writers of the original game but this game has no heart or logical sense of the previous game. Ultimately it makes no sense why it won 2020 game of the year award out of context. In context, it’s unknown why it won even with the massive crunch from developers to push out such a terribly written story.

    Joel dying for such a silly and futile reason made death serve only to have a reason for the game to start but that was very pathetic coming from Joel who is a guy who detonates an entire army

    Basically Joel's death was very forced and in the end the other deaths are just boring and boring

    This game does not reach the feet of the old and unfortunately the script resources available to the creators were very badly used

    Now it is just a game of stealth and "horror" with a boring, uninteresting, meaningless story that passes very stupid moral lessons like "revenge is not worth it and blah blah blah '    … Expand

    The gameplay is average, the graphics are great, however the story and writing are terrible. Since this is a story driven game I'm giving it 0/10. One of the worst, most bland stories I've ever played. Doom eternal has a better story which is saying something.

    The Last of Us Part II is a masterpiece and is amazing every way. People hate on this game for no reason cause they don’t like a masculine women and you have to play as her. This adds more story depth and the gameplay and graphics are amazing. The story is easy to understand so people who say they are taking crap. 10/10 game of the generation.

El gamplay continúa siendo muy bueno y las nuevas adiciones al gamplay son buenas, hay menos escaleras, los minijuegos son una adición perfecta. Conforme a la historia, no se porqué el problema con ella. Desde la primera parte Joel no es ningún héroe, tampoco Ellie y en este caso no lo es Abby. Abby tiene un desarrollo como Joel en el primer juego, encuentra un niño y su perspectiva en sus actos cambia, sabe que la venganza no le traerá paz. Nunca fue una historia con un final feliz. Joel decidió salvar a Ellie y como ella le dice al final, no era su decisión hacerlo, debió dejar que Ellie decidiera y así su vida hubiera tenido sentido, es una historia con un final triste y es lo que es. No creo por eso el juego en general merezca un cero tal vez si la historia no es para ti lo entiendo pero hay otras aspectos técnicos al fin de cuentas es un videojuego no una película… Expand

    Historia que va de menos a más con gráficos excepcionales. Personajes carismáticos que hacen que te identifiques con ellos. Juego adictivo aunque algo repetitivo en sus mecánicas. Para mi un juego indispensable que hay que jugar

After an unnecessary forced, looooong, repetitive and no sense story/gameplay I wished many times to end but no, there was always more...

    Graphics are outstanding.

    Music is good, but it is not as highlighted as it was in the first game so, it loses power. Gameplay is repetitive

    Story is so forced, it was a cool idea but not so well developed IMO.

    I don't feel like I was playing a game created by the same team. At the end when the game asked me if I wanted to play again, I was like, I don't think so. (I played the first TLOU like 6 times)    … Expand

    Lamentablemente el juego carece de un buen guión y los personajes son muy genéricos faltos de creatividad es cierto que hace años Naughty Dog a estado desmejorado la narrativa de sus vídeo juegos es lamentable ver cómo sagas y vídeo juegos caen de esta forma solo por llenar una agenda política.

    I'm certain of something, this game's hatred is coming from those who did not really understand the game's true nature. After playing this game, it is hard to begin playing another. Its graphics are excellent, its narrative and characters surround you and make you understand that the spectrum between good and evil is part of everyone. The Last Of Us 2 é literalmente uma obra de arte, eu não conseguir receber o jogo na semana do lançamento e sinceramente eu fiquei preocupada com o jogo em questão de história, mas depois de jogar eu percebi que essa chuva de hate nas avaliações do jogo são no mínimo de pessoas que não jogaram ou não conseguiram entender a história. As críticas são na maioria bem rasas e escritas de maneiras bem superficiais, por exemplo a morte de Joel, eu vi muita gente falando que ele morreu de uma forma bem merda em relação a maneira que ele agia no primeiro jogo, a situação que a Naughty Dog criou foi claramente proposital, dois irmãos cercados por uma horda de zumbis salvam uma estranha e aceitam ir com ela a um local seguro ao invés de morrer em questão de minutos, único erro foi ele ter citado o próprio nome, o jeito que ele morreu foi feito daquele maneira pra te deixar com raiva, o jogo dá metade do seu tempo pra você entender que só porque você jogou um tempo com o Joel em a Ellie não quer dizer que a escolha que ELES fizeram é necessariamente a correta, não existe herói nem vilão, a Ellie não fez todo aquele caminho a toa. O jogo inteiro mostra de diversas maneiras e simbologias diferentes que matar a Abby não vai levar a nada, tanto quanto a morte do Joel não diminuiu a dor que a Abby sentia pela morte do pai e continuou tendo os mesmos pesadelos, e se você parar pelo menos por um segundo pra pensar o trauma da Abby querendo ou não deveria ter sido bem maior do que o da Ellie, alias além de ter perdido o próprio o pai, o Joel tirou dela a sua família e a Ellie seus amigos, e depois de tudo isso a Abby ainda conseguir ter a virtude do perdão, eu não disse que o Joel é o vilão da história, mas no ponto de vista da Abby é a conclusão mais razoável que uma pessoa pode tomar, todo mundo que jogou o primeiro jogo consegue entender os motivos do Joel e jogando essas horas com a Abby se você não for uma pessoal totalmente egocêntrica você consegue entender o lado da Abby

    De verdade se eu tivesse dinheiro eu faria uma estátua do Santaolalla e o Mac Quayle deixaria na meu quarto, meu amigo que trilha sonora perfeita, combina muito bem com os ambientes escolhidos e é bem agradável.

    I won't spoil but it basically has a crappy plot (with plotholes too big to ignore) with disgusting characters and an awful ending. Clearly an unworthy sequel.

Ellie deciding not to kill Abby is also ridiculous because she literally killed all of Abby’s friends, even going so far as to bash Nora’s head in with a lead pipe. It’s funny too because Ellie basically saves Abby in the end and let’s her go because she otherwise most likely would have died on the beach. How are we as an audience supposed to care about Abby? She threatens to kill a pregnant woman in front of her girlfriend, shoots Tommy in the face, murders Joel with a golf club, shoots Jessie in the face and we are expected to care about her? Let alone like her? Big deal, her dad saved a Zebra from some barbed wire, who cares? I know I don’t. And why does every game today have to shove a political agenda down everyone’s throat? I enjoyed the first Last of Us despite its flaws, but I’m afraid now I will never buy another Naughty Dog game again. Filmmakers and game directors need to stop directly attacking the people that consume their products. Someone please fire Neil ****… Expand

    Loved it! Worthy successor to the 1st which was my all-time-favourite video game. Took around 35h to finish the story, and although I'm not sure I find every decision of every character 100% comprehensible, I think it's a well enough written and delivers exactly what it intends to.

I’m not a troll and I’m pro LGBTQ rights, but this story was just insulting. I played it months ago now and still can’t get over how bad it was, especially compared to the first. This is one of the few games that I REALLY hate, but since I want to be fair, let's go first on the good things, gameplay and graphics are totally amazing, stealth is pretty generic, sound design is alright, but like me and alot of other peeps, the biggest flaw is probably the story, it is **** and is a spit on the face to those who loved the original, As soon as they killed off Joel I lost all interest, and the ending was even more ****, it was such an underwhelming ending that I didnt think it was a satisfying ending. The characters had some development and the performances were pretty good.Laura Bailey did a good job performing as Abby, a character I hated. Overall, it's very divisive and mixed. 5/10… Expand

    Beautifully tragic. An emotion grappling story about morally ambiguous survivors, doing what they believe needs to be done to overcome grief, trauma and loss. Plenty of darkness with glimmers of hope and light. This sequel stayed painfully true to it’s characters and most importantly, the world created in the first game.
