    Controversial story, especially for those who played the first game, but if you consider this is still a game not movie or book, it is pretty good. Gameplay is still very enjoyable, but it seems to be a little bit repetitive comparative to first game. And a little bit too much walking from wall to wall :).

    Visual spectacle like Halo 5 was and apparently with same writers

    The visuals in this game are exactly as required for a masterpiece this late into the generation. The sounds are precise, the weather and water is top notch, and the voice acting is great. However you can draw a wonderfully detailed picture of a circle and it’s still a circle.     The visuals in this game are exactly as required for a masterpiece this late into the generation. The sounds are precise, the weather and water is top notch, and the voice acting is great. However you can draw a wonderfully detailed picture of a circle and it’s still a circle. I did fall asleep, mostly from working too much, but mainly because the story did not draw me into the “what is going to happen next” excitement I get from great stories. The actual story falls well short of my expectations for a follow up to a top notch written story such as The Last of Us.

    I spent time after the first murderous blunder up to the end waiting for the story to self correct, just like Cortana becoming evil, to come full circle only to be extremely disappointed. The creation of a new character is like Locke in the same very game I can’t believe is so relatable. Those who embolden this game as the next best thing since sliced bread are just as feeble minded as those who thought Halo 5(the campaign) was fantastic.

    The drawn out lackluster ending after playing both sides up to the end was aggravating and slow. Here you can tell the writers just threw whatever they could at the wall on top of their horrible story itself. The game play is simple enough and relatively smooth however I noticed many frame drops on my pro, that affected my personal experience of the game play. This occurred early on in the game riding the horse to switching and during cutscenes. The only open world part of the game is the very beginning when you arrive to Seattle and after that it is all linear story telling. That alone diminished my perspective on a game that touted an open world system, though they did not say how much.

    I don’t care for or against the political statement regarding same sex couples at the end that seems to fuel anger among others. That part of the story is not my issue. I feel like I spent too much time watching a movie that lacked the needed, let alone the expected, story to follow up the first games masterpiece of writing.

    Overall I would grade this on 3 levels as follows:

    Gameplay: 6
    Graphics : 8
    Story: 2

Если взять сложность ниже, то боёвка, стелс и лут начинают подыгрывать игроку, а значит и челлендж в игровом процессе будет пропадать. Лично я впервые с консолью познакомился именно на TLOU 2 и заявляю, что не столкнулся с какими-то невообразимыми    Игра замечательная, но и не идеал.

И если вы все же возьмёте и пройдёте игру на Survivor'е, то тут вы познакомитесь и с захватывающими схватками, где вам в придётся использовать всё, что попадает под руку, дабы пережить бой; и с проработанным до мелочей стелсом, где вам надо будет использовать всю вашу смекалку, чтобы незамеченным пройти на следующую локацию; и с отличной прокачкой оружия и навыков, которая и бонусом наградит, и игровой процесс преобразит.
    Плюсом, за всю игру я не встретился ни с одним багом. Здесь отдельный респект для Naughty Dog.
    Теперь пару слов про сюжет и идейность проекта. Сюжетом я доволен. История очень выразительная и эмоциональная. Но в тоже время я столкнулся с некоторыми нелогичностями в сюжете, которые меня огорчили. И честно сказать, я не хочу их обсуждать. Но факт остается фактом, эти эпизоды нелогичности все еще есть в игре, и думаю вас они тоже разочаруют. Но эти эпизоды кажутся совсем незначительными, если сравнивать их со стержнем сюжета - историей о мести. Я обожаю финал The last of us part two, он великолепен и дарит те эмоции, которые я даже не думал испытать.
    В итоге, я очень люблю эту игру, но десятку я ей не дам, так как она не идеал сюжетной игры. Но TLOU 2 очень близка к этому идеалу и поэтому 9/10.    … Expand

    The first part of this game is amazing, but on the second i had a feeling that was a terminator without any motivation to do what i do.
    I dont want to play it again because Abby is a useless character and i dont like her story.

    But... the game looks and feels amazing if we are talking about game design, so i played it till the end.

The story is just memoreable a story that you will not forget any time soon, very emotinal, but very rough and depressing and i get it the story is not for everyone you will need to have some gut to finish the game but all and all i simply loved it i think that this game is the only game that made me think over the story even 1 or 2 weeks after i finished it. The game is just dripping with atmosphere one of the most atmospheric game i have ever played purely outstanding. The combat is so fun, satisfying and intense and it has the best stealth combat i have seen in a video game and the atmosphere makes it that way. Aaaand the wolrd...is just too beautiful...with tons and tons, and i mean it, of details is just amazing. I really think that this game is a masterpiece and is so sad that some people rated this with a 0...this game just don't deserve this...ok i get it you dont like the story but how the hell you rate 0/10 a game whith a quality like this really now..Recommend this game at any time 10/10!… Expand

    This is easily the best looking game running on ps4 and it is a technical achievement for it to be running smoothly on a 7 years old console
    Music - 8/10
    This had some really great songs and osts but they decided to no use them during gameplay moments, would have loved to listen to them if implemented correctly like death stranding
    World Building - 9/10
    Always used to just stand and awe at the sceneries, this game has one of the best map design but also felt repetitive coming near to the end
    Gameplay - 6.5/10
    Its the same **** gameplay from the previous game, there is barely anything new added to make the gameplay feel any better. It felt good enough for the first game but they should have tried something new. Also the **** rope man, that **** is awesome and they didnt decide to use it much, they could have made such good puzzles from it, and what happened to the traps? they were there for the first few hours but they removed it completely from the game after it. Some of the set pieces were the highlight of the game but there were only few to keep me interested, just like marvel spiderman(ps4)

    Oh boy, the story is less than mediocre, the simple revenge is bad tactic applied all over in the game. If this game didnt have the last of us attached to it then it would have been an average game. The story didnt feel right with the last of us universe, all the time i didnt feel like i was playing a last of us game, joel died, that was a great shock point but they kept doing the same **** again and again, you meet a new person, you develop some connection and then they die too, halfway through the game i couldnt care about anyone since i knew the game is going to kill them anyways. and wtf the game used the pregnant card 2-3 times, why tf was mel even parkouring while being 7-8 months pregnant lmao, the whole story, it felt like a kid wrote it and they were too confident with it and decided to move on with it. The flashbacks were the only times i felt like yes this is part of the game but they **** it up too, they jumbled everything, they were ordered very poorly. People say the story was intentional, if it was, it was executed very poorly. There was no outcome of the story, everything got worse till the end and i only felt disappointed at the end, there could be **** millions of children, like abby, of the people joel/ellie killed, now will they make millions of sequels? Even if they dont, im not going to play the sequel anyways.

    overall the game makes you feel frustrated alot, upset from the beginning to the end.

I am very glad that I managed to avoid all spoilers and was able to fall in love with the game in its original form. I was very surprised that the Last of Us tell a story not only about revenge, but also about love, the relationship of fathers and children, a sense of regret. The way Ellie has gone simply cannot be conveyed, as from a small, simple girl who turned into a ruthless military school, to evaluate her own actions due to the fact that, by the way, she loses her family and friends. Abby, on the contrary, from the most bad character, is revealed in a completely different way, she is kind, responsive and very loyal. Her devotion is revealed well that morning when she goes to help young children. And at the end of the game, I didn't want any of the heroines to die… Expand

    It is sad to see how many people leave bad reviews for this game, it definitely does not deserve them, the story is hard to get through but not because it is bad, but because it is emotional and real. Naughty Dog did not pull punches and it was breathtaking. The gameplay is absolutely polished beyond anything I have played before!

    This game doesn't deserve to be GAME OF THE YEAR. An over saturation of LGBTQ agendas and strong independent women. And almost all men in this game are nobody. I went through this sh*t with difficulty, but if there was an opportunity to return the money for this product, I would return it.

    Broaden your perspective. This is called The Last of Us, not the Elle and Joel show.
    It seems like everyone who hates this game wanted the Joel and Ellie story again. If that's the case, stick to the first game. Why should Naughty Dog tell the same story again? They kept Joel very much in this game with flashbacks to fill in the time gap between the first and second games. We got to experience Joel and Ellie in this game as well it just wasn't central focus. Naughty Dog forewarned that this story would be about the vicious cycle of revenge and they definitely delivered on that promise. If you can get over Joel's death, which was difficult, you can appreciate the depth and pain of the story Naughty Dog tells through Ellie and Abby. No one can tell me that some of the backlash isn't because Abby is masculine. I've seen plenty of transphobic videos of so-called men moaning about this. I researched her character, Naughty Dog claims she isn't transgendered but even if she is, so what? Does that make her pain any less important than anyone else's? The beauty of writing is that writers can MAKE YOU FEEL a certain way. The only reason why everyone was so heartbroken over Joel is because the writers made us feel that way with their brilliant storytelling from the first Last of Us. But we didn't see the other perspectives. We didn't see the carnage and pain Joel caused with his actions. Stop and think about it for a second. Yes, he loved Ellie. He bonded with her after he thought he had lost his ability to bond with anyone since losing Sarah. And so he made the [selfish] decision FOR HIMSELF to save her. It wasn't for Ellie it was for himself. And he sacrified what was probably best for the world to do it. Both Ellie and Abby lost their fathers and avenged them. They have quite a bit in common as characters. But people don't want to see that because Joel and Ellie achieved pedastal status from the first Last of Us game. To believe that only Joel's pain only Joel's feelings matter, is a very narrow way of looking at things. Had the first Last of Us focused on Abby's story, we would sympathise more with her. When I had to play as her for the second half of the game, I was genuinely curious what led her to carry out her murder of Joel towards the beginning of the game. I really started liking her when she teamed up with Lev and his sister. She cared deeply for that boy and put her life on the line for him. Ellie just got worse and became increasingly hatefilled, angry and foul-mouthed as the game went on. It's refreshing the changeover happened and we get to see a fresh perspective, otherwise this would become a generic revenge game driven by hate an anger.
    What The Last of Us 2 does so well is showcase how the pursuit of vengeance and revenge is never-ending and soul-destroying. Look at what happened to Ellie. She had a chance to move on happily at the Farm House with Dina and JJ. She had a chance to heal. And she chose to leave her family and pursue revenge that in the end she couldn't even carry out. A lot of people also criticise the ending because she couldn't carry out her revenge. Again, people miss the point. The real enemy here is the thought of revenge and how it can consume and destroy everything in your life. Sometimes what we fantasise about in our minds can't be realised when that moment comes. She sees Joel's face and has a moment of realisation finally that killing Abby won't bring Joel back but it would destroy her. So she stops. She finally stops pursuing this poisonous vengeance mission. She sits in the ocean and lets the grieving tears flow. She begins to heal. She has to lose basically everything to find herself again. And here's something else to chew on. Part of Ellie's rage was at herself. We see many flashbacks of Ellie and Joel where she is cold towards him because she is so angry that he lied to her about the hospital and what happened. She hated herself because Joel was taken from her before they could reconcile. In order to avoid hating herself to an unberable degree, she focused her rage on Abby because Abby killed Joel before she could forgive him. I'm sure a lot of Ellie's pain is due to how things were left. When you let revenge take over, it consumes everything good in your life. Killing Abby would have made things worse for her.
    The 1-star reviewers are why we don't get similarly awesome, imaginative, and new ideas in the market. Because people hate it, they can't appreciate it, they cannot cope with new ideas. So producers wouldn't risk losing money and they'll just keep feeding casuals the common stereotypical happy ending type cliches. The Last of Us part 2 is a breath of fresh air. The haters are definitely lacking deep thought.    … Expand

Encore pleins d’autres mais surtout 1 domaine qui définit la qualité du studio NAUGHTY DOG -le scénario: on sais que le jeu a divisé quelques joueurs mais quand on finis la fin du jeu on comprends mieux la direction de NEIL DRUCKMAN, les    Chef d’œuvre dans tous les domaines:

    -gameplay -doublage (FR)
    -bande son
    -acteur attachant
    -graphismes -ambiance(lumière,ombres, bruitages ...)

    Encore pleins d’autres mais surtout 1 domaine qui définit la qualité du studio NAUGHTY DOG -le scénario: on sais que le jeu a divisé quelques joueurs mais quand on finis la fin du jeu on comprends mieux la direction de NEIL DRUCKMAN, les sensations, les frissons, la tristesse, la colère et bah tous c’est mot là on les ressens dans ce jeu, et c’est le premier jeu qui me fait autant d’effet. Maintenant j’espère que pour TLOU PART 2 avec un DLC ?! Ou un TLOU PART 3 que Neil arrive à trouver un vaccins et que la mort de Joël n’aura pas servit à rien. La suite du PART 3 : je verrais bien ellie retourner chercher sa petit copine et son bebe, et peu être croisé abby avec le gamin , et que l’histoire trouve une solution pour que la fin soit tout autant exellent que le 2 mais surtout ne pas faire mourir notre personnage principal car en perdre 1 c’est triste mais 2 ça serait de la haine.    … Expand

    -No inova en ninguna cosa, solo mejora las graficas y el sistema de mejorar las armas que implementa no tiene nada nuevo ya que en shooters tipicos como COD llevan usando eso desde sus primeras sagas.
    -La historia deja mucho que desear en vez de un buen cierre como se tenia espectado tiene un final    Tipica secuela mala donde el estudio mete la pata, lo jugue y no le vi la gran cosa.

    Provavelmente o melhor jogo da geração. Sei que muitos ficaram decepcionados com o enredo, mas, para mim, esta foi uma das melhores coisas do jogo. A Naughty Dog arriscou e tentou entrar algo que fugisse do simples "happy ending". Além disso, gameplay, gráficos, trilha sonora, tudo impecável. Esses elementos combinados tornaram o jogo uma das melhores coisas nesse desastroso ano de 2020.

    A garbage game for a garbage console, I fiddled into it for exactly six hours, when I had to play as a woman-man, I turned off the game and permanently deleted it from my account, graphics of 2012, 15 fps in scenes with more than 3 enemies, plot the retarded, mentally ill Dryckmana, in general, this game should be in the trash, like the console itself.

    For all the bad user reviews, the game still is one of the best made on the PS4. The plot was fitting, as well as every bit as good (and excruciating) as TLOU1. The gameplay was immersive and downright fun. If you have problems with people who are different from you, then that's really your own problem (not one with the game).

TLOU was my absolute favorite game for the PS3 and I have replayed the Remaster on PS4 numerous times. So when my eldest son (he's 22) told me that this was the absolute worst game he has ever played I found it hard to believe. He wasn't as big of a fan of the first one as me. So I borrowed the disk for Part 2 from him when he finally slogged through it (took him months because as he said "there are so many far better games to occupy my time with".

    The world and graphics are great but they are only slightly better than GoT on my 4k TV. However that is not what makes this game the worst game ever made (my son was completely correct). They took everything that was great about the first game and took a giant **** on it. ND was not, until now a developer known for destroying their franchise games. I could not even continue this game after the 2 hour mark (killing Joel Miller has probably put me off future ND games for good). I deleted this game right after that event and will never take a second look. My son didn't even want the game back and told me to donate it to the local game store.

    Recommended to NO ONE who has fond memories of the first game. I never got passed 2 hours but I can tell this game is CRAP!    … Expand

The main problem i have with this game is that they tried to portray a movie onto a videogame and it does not work. It is when you want to make a movie out from a videogame.

It can be frustrating sometimes, and can even feel unfair, but I can't think of many ways they could have made the gameplay smoother without sacrificing realism. And it had to feel real to make the story feel real, too.

    So, for me, the game is a 10/10 for gameplay, story, and graphics. They had a goal and they achieved it incredibly well. But many people will not enjoy this game at all, and that's okay. We need more AAA games that take risks and strive for something beyond simple, satisfying games that most gamers will like.    … Expand

Every point I could make has already been made by multiple content creators and independent critics. While there are a minority of people hating on the game just to hate and because of it's inclusion, every negative review shouldn't be written off like they are. The ending made me feel like everything I did was pointless. There are legitimate reasons to dislike this game. There are plenty of reasons to like it.

    The game is also structured poorly. Right when things are starting to happen when you've got past the rising action and you're about to get to the climax, you're sent right back to the beginning and get another 10-15 hours of exposition and rising action again that ultimately leads back to the climax you were about to see 15 hours ago. I feel like if this game was reordered to be more chronological, it would have been much more well-received.

    Without getting into spoilers, Naughty Dogs' blatant false advertising of what this game would be cannot be excused. They could have handled the situation better, and more clearly represented what the game would be without spoiling it.

    I didn't hate the game. I also didn't love it. Some of the outrage is ridiculous. The game isn't a 0/10, it's no 10/10 either. It's a brave sequel. Just not what most people would consider a "successful" one. Things that made the first game so great to a lot of people, like Joel and Ellie's relationship is put on the back burner in favor of a subpar revenge/forgiveness plot. There are obvious plot holes that shouldn't be overlooked or excused.    … Expand

    Mechanics and game play were a bit outdated, Voice acting and presentation were good, Story did not line up with the first game, seemed far fetched.

    I expected more from this game since the first one was so awesome. The connection you felt between Joel and Ellie in the first game is not present here.

    Best game I've played all year. Enjoyed every minute of the 25+ hours spent. Nerve wrecking at times, smashing you straight in the face and very realistic. Gameplay improved towards the first game and though different, still a very strong story that makes you think about its outcome (at least if you're not one of those that like to spew hate and score this game before even playing it).

    If you have watched the walkthrough of the game on YouTube or Twitch, you will not feel the game.
    It's a very personal and complex story.

    The game is good, it's just not for children.

You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

    If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
