    This is a masterpiece. The perfect mix between story and gameplay. This game raises the level for the whole industry from now on. It has a long gameplay - that never gets boring, amazing graphics and an amazing storyline.

But as a sequel of LEGENDARY p1 this is a complete **** Ruined plot, ruined characters. If you, writers, think that the entire game-community and fans of p1 are the gays from Twitter, you are wrong. The majority of that "people" who yelling about gay tolerance and feminism wouldn't even play this game. But who would, they DIDN'T WANTED AND EXPECTED that **** that you've done. We wanted continuation of the story about Joel and Ellie with her immunity, not the story about gay Ellie and Dina, fighting with group because of male-looking "woman", who killed Joel, and her trans-friend Lily who has problems with accepting her gender. I (and about the whole community) refuse to take this as the part 2 of The Last of Us. This is fantasies of a sick person, thrown on the legacy of p1.… Expand

There are more cut scenes and walking than actual gameplay. SPOILER ALERT..... they destroyed all of your favorite characters. They dumb down Joel's character on purpose to make him weak and stupid. In the first game he was very smart and had a ton of experience. He didn't even trust a guy that was sick on the road. He chose to run him over. Later we find out that stranger on the road was not sick and it was all a set up. They do everything to make you dislike Joel and continue to spit on him. They have a trans female/male shoot him in the leg and torture him with a golf club right in the first 2 hours of the game. They spit on him literally. They made Ellie unlikable and a selfish human being. She kills everyone and continued to blame Joel for saving her life. She cared so much in saving humanity because she has the immunity but instead she became a lesbian and chose not to reproduce. Let that sink in. She even let's Abby the one that tortured and murdered Joel in front of her get away with it. Abby also bit off two of Ellie's fingers. Her letting Abby go is basically saying Joel deserved dying. A loveable character who is the main character of the game. There was no justice for Joel. This game robbed everything from you just for shock value. The current narrative of destroying the male character to make the female character rise is very weak story telling. It is disrespectful to both genders. Females even hate it. Worst of all the pacing of the story is horrible. You literally play as Abby the character we hate for half the game. They tried so hard to make us like her but none of it worked. This game is a waste of time and money and should have never been created as a sequel. The critics are liars and they don't care about what the fans want. They only care about their political narrative and force you to like something that you will never accept. Then they insult you by calling you names because you don't like the product they are praising. They are the worst kind of human being. Trust the gamers that actually love playing the kind of video games you like. Those are the ones who you should listen to. Vote with your wallet and avoid this dumpster fire. Why care for a game created by a studio that is run by Neil Druckmann who is a male feminist and does not care about the fans and the people he works with. That's why 75 percent of Naughty dog left the company due to how he treated them. This game is created by people that don't care about you and backed by people that hate you. The game wasn't made for the fans and gamers. Vote with your wallets and avoid this at all cost. Especially how they are trying to trick everyone with false advertisement into buying this.     This game will make you despise this series, It is very fun to play, if you don't focus on the story, But this is a story focused game. So if you loved The Last Of Us 1 and want to cherish it, Just pretend this one doesn't exist and you'll be a happier person

    The first part is a masterpiece. I decided to buy and go through the second one with a warm feeling of nostolgia, but the second part was frankly disappointing. The political agenda simply rejects the game. On the positive side, a beautiful picture, but I don't want to play too much.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. this game has just left me with a feeling of emptiness and heartbreak . the terrible story line just seems like a waste of the spectacular graphics and gameplay . it had so much potential . naughty dog could’ve turned this into another great game although it would’ve still been hard to top the original . however , just like real life , not everything can have an interesting story line and ending . people that mean something to you die and there are many painful lessons you have to learn ; just like ellie and abby . i suppose the game did teach the importance of dealing with your emotions in a healthy way , particularly grief and pain . there is nothing cathartic about revenge (this is already portrayed in the beginning when joel is killed) you can tell that abby didn’t feel good about killing him . all it caused was a spiral of many more unfortunate events and both girls lost everyone they cared about ; all to learn just how disappointing revenge is . in the beginning , i was just waiting for abby’s death but at the end it wasn’t even satisfying watching them fight . it was emotionally exhausting . the entire game didn’t feel right with joel being killed off immediately (and in the most degrading way possible) i lost interest in the plot . it’s such a shame , but the lesson provided here is very important .… Expand

    Gameplay und Grafik sind grandios. Ich habe selten das mich in den Punkten so gecatcht hat wie dieses. Trotzdem ist das nicht alles was ein Spiel ausmacht.
    Es ist einzig und allein auf die Autoren zurückzuführen, dass das Game nicht zu dem BESTEN Game allerzeiten wurde. Da jeder Charakter von Grund auf verändert wurde. Wie soll man Sympathie für jemanden entwickeln den man vorher abgrundtief gehasst hat? Außerdem wurde dem transgender Thema viel zu stark thematisiert und Bedeutung zugesprochen.
    Es hätte so toll werden können, stattdessen wurde es in meine Augen zum Paradebeispiel dafür, wie man die Qualität des Spielerlebnisses von perfekt auf miserable herunterwirtschaftet.

Thankfully i did not because this game is actually trash. I just got to the part where Joel dies and i refuse to finish the game. I can already tell how the game will focus on garbage so wont waste my time. I literally never leave a review but this game is so trash after killing Joel and wanting to make us play the enemy and make us play fetch with a dog to try manipulate us to like the actual villian. It was a risky and abstract way to make the sequel and they truly bottled it. Entire franchise will never be the same. You couldnt pay me to finish this game.… Expand

TLOU2 is the perfect depiction of what it’s like to climb Mount Everest, only for the rock underneath your feet to give in as you’re a couple of steps away from the summit. After 7 gruelling years of waiting, hoping, praying that the game comes out quicker and that I can continue to experience the immersive storyline that was so masterfully created between Ellie and Joel and the rest of the infected world in the first game, all that excitement faded after the first hour of the game. The way in which Joel was brutally killed seems, in all honesty, like the biggest dick move in the world. Moreover, the whole plot is based around how Joel’s reckless murder sprees from the first game are now coming back to haunt him. Sure, he killed Abby’s dad and numerous other people, but to have Abby seek revenge, murder Joel with cold blood and then instigate a 30 hour back-and-forth of non stop killing on both her end, as well as Ellie’s, is probably the most **** up thing I’ve ever experienced in a video game. “Our actions have consequences!”, the story screams, as you continue to murder either Abby’s friends or Ellie’s companions all the way to the very end, when you’re supposed to be faced with your enemy and finally end the charade. Guess what? That doesn’t happen!! In hopes of (probably) creating another cash-grab mock GOTY, Naughty Dog decided to plaster a **** up “Yeah, I’ll let you live even though you don’t deserve to” at the end of the game, leaving most players feeling frustrated, unsatisfied and with a burning desire to set their consoles ablaze. I was, am and will continue to be the biggest advocate for TLOU. The first game (including the “Left Behind” DLC) was surely one of the greatest video games to hit the market in the last 20 years. To build up so much hype around the sequel, only for its most redeeming quality to be the flashback Ellie has of her and Joel at the museum, is absolute **** The only reason I’m giving this game a 2 is because i actually enjoyed those memories more than the entire game. That and the graphics, which I have nothing bad to say about. But the rest of the game’s aspects? The frantic timeline? The exaggerated links between certain characters? The lack of backstory for more than 3/4 of the new characters? The imbalance between the two protagonists’ gameplay? The fact that the virus has continued to morph and spread and somehow, we still don’t get to understand how or why that really happened? The game has so many twists and turns and in the most embarrassingly done manner, that it’s safe to say all fans of the first game could’ve piled up their ideas for a sequel in a top hat, mixed them up, drawn them out at random and the outcome would’ve been a million times better than whatever the **** this is.

    A delusional plot, the atmosphere of the game has completely disappeared, where in the last part people are trying to simply survive and then kill each other, and they do not care about the dead. The game has a lot of politics mixed in and it looks disgusting!

    When using the characters you love, the creators punish you for it. You won't find ammo, health is scarce, firearms are butter knife like. They are stupid and don't live up to the characters they were before.

    Now take this same recipe, and apply it to every character in the game.

    When using their woke character. You'll be almost invincible. Weapons, health and everything is plentiful. You're strong, move at super speed and everything seems easy. That's the point. They want you to believe their woke character is better, stronger and faster. To fit their woke agenda. But the truth is. If there is anyone in this world you would have wished dead. It would be this woke character that you are forced to use for the majority of the game.
    You'll end up scarred playing this game.

    Remember the story? Well now there isn't one. It's **** At every point of the game, they continue to push this woke agenda on you, and try to make you feel bad for not opting in.

    You don't have a choice either.

    Be careful of all the fake reviews giving it 5 stars. The company likes to pay critics and automated bots to review their game, to get you to fall for their woke narrative, and their **** game.

    You think you will continue with joel or elly right ? Nope. You ll play half of the game one of the villian characters. You never understand why the story is detoriated like this. L2 is 10/10 first 2_3 hours but when the main character change it is meaningless to play. Dont waste yor money for 3 hourzs game

Unlock a few doors, delete some generators and make it more clear where you need to go. The same cannot be said about this pile of garbage. Naughty dog thought it was a good idea to kill off Joel very early in the game. Not only do they kill him off, but they do it in such a hateful way. Naughty dog also thought it was a good idea to then make you play as the guy that killed her for what seems like half the game. When Ellie finally did catch up to him and is seconds away from the kill, naughty dog robs you of justice by letting him get away. The game leaves you with the desire to kill Joel's killer and they is unacceptable. Naughty dog also committed a violation by pushing their political agenda through this game. When I play a game, it's to escape reality and have fun. This game was not fun and it only made me think about the sjw agenda. Very poor experience. I no longer trust naughty dog and will not be giving them my money in the future.… Expand

    I can't really say anything else that the game is beautiful and the gameplay is done extremely well. The killing, stealth, weapons and ways of eliminating enemies is top notch.
    If I would rate only those aspects, it would have been a 10 out of 10.

    Unfortunately (and I really can't stress this word enough) the storytelling, character development and twists are of the lowest quality.
    The game forces you to do something you don't want to, that in itself would be fine, if that "thing" didn't last 10-12 hours.
    I didn't really care for the supporting characters, because they either had no depth or were sidelined from the storyline so fast I couldn't get used to them (or start to like them).

    About Joel's death. I don't mind the decision to do it, but if you do something so ballsy, you better have something to fill that enormous gap you just made and Naughty Dog failed to deliver just that.
    The first game was all about the relationship between Joel and Ellie. If you cut half of that (kill Joel) and cripple the other half by no character development (Ellie), you receive a very flat storyline.
    And jeeesus, in the Ellie part of the game you mostly gather stuff from abandoned buildings, sometimes you get interrupted to kill, it was really not entertaining to click that triangle for 10 out of 12 hours.

    Now about Abby and her whole "story". It made me really disappointed I have to play a character I didn't like for 10-12h. Also they throw you into that just after a big cliffhanger with the only person you care about in this game, which is Ellie. That decision was terrible, it made me lose all interest in the game, which wasn't much to begin with after that flat storyline of the Ellie part.
    The relationship between Abby and Lev was a sliver of hope I hung on to, when I tried to force myself through this game.
    Maybe this is going to sound controversial, but in my opinion the game could've been saved if they made part II solely about Abby. They could get a little more detailed and flesh out the war between WLF and Seraphites, put those 10-12 h they used on an undercooked Ellie story to a better use.

    But because they divided a game into 2 different stories I got one story that failed every expectation I had about Joel and Ellie, and a second story I didn't care about, because it wasn't the reason I bought the game (looking at you trailers, teasers and comments from producers before the game).
    That's why the storyline, characters and their interactions have to receive a 1 out of 10, not a 0 out of 10.
    I can respect that they tried something different, but they failed.

    The overall average score should be 5.5 then, but I'm giving it a 4 out of 10, because I'm adding a personal factor to the score of being mad at what they did to one of my favorite titles that is The Last of Us.

    One of the worst sequels ever made in my opinion, a bad and dumb story that doesn't make any sense, they kill Joel way too soon and make him and Tommy two idiots that trust in strangers that they never saw, I stopped playing after we take control of Abby and only plan on finishing it if I can get it free, I won't waste a single penny on this garbage.

The never ending cutscenes and needless jumping back and forth across the two main characters. Both were so unlikeable at the end I did not care which one lived or died. I feel bad for the graphics designers who made such a great job on the visuals. They are the reason I did not give 0 rating. Ps: I'm fine with the LGBT story. I don't blame the agenda for this, I blame the fact when you play as the character who killed your favorite character from the first part. When a screenwriter makes Abby understand, it's disgusting.     The visuals, audio, and gameplay were the best in this generation. However, the story, pacing and character development were disappointing. These were the qualities that made the first game a masterpiece. Graphics and gameplay get old, but a good story is forever. A sequel was never necessary.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
