    Characters are trash and unlikeable over all. Joe would never reveal him name to strangers get that what’s happened in part two and that’s what got him killed and the games tries to make Ellie the antagonist and tries to make Abby the protagonist and it shows, ran into game breaking bugs that have been here since launch that never got fixed

    To be honest, I think the programmer in the Naughty dog is perfect, they try a lot to achieve a lot of new techniques. However, the narrative of this game is terrible, that waste all other people's effort in Naughty dogs. I think Neil Druckmann and his story is a joke. Its a copy-paste from the last game the only thing that actually improved is the graphics but everything else is an abomination the story is as bad as it can be the characters have no weight, if half of the cast was simply not there you probably wouldn't even notice overall a really mixed game and it got game of the year in the game awards isI created an account just to rate this game.     If you like a poorly adapted rendition of Homer’s Iliad where clearly the director at Naughtydog didn’t really get the original classic, then this is your game! It does have good graphics though so I guess that’s a redeeming part of the cutscene with some gameplay sprinkled in whatever you want to call this medium. It’s certainly no game that’s for sure.     For me this For me, this game was the main disappointment of the year. The first part was a masterpiece, TLOU2 this game killed all the good that was in the last game, and spat in the face of your favorite heroes. One out of ten just for good graphics.game has become the main disappointment of the year

Yet I feel like I’ve been slapped in the face, they brutalized Joel, (a beloved character) by this hulk psychopath (female?) character, who they then force you to control all the while trying to develop this connection, when in fact you just hate it everything about “Abby” screams die in a fire yet, they make you keep on truckin’. Then the SJW crap my god.... it’s sooooo woke. WAKE up people, it’s set approximately 30 years after the zombie apocalypse, 13 year old kids ( who by the way grows up in an antiquated tribe like environment), will not have the “decadent luxury” of deciding they’re going to choose their gender... they’ll be a little preoccupied with, you know not dying... oh and they also won’t have the fantastic media we have today to push narratives on troubled or mentally ill youth. All that being said the gameplay and most of the other factors of the actual VIDEO GAME work great, play it on mute and for gods sake skip the cutscenes. Shame first game way almost completely story driven this one just makes me angry.… Expand

    A garbage game for a garbage console, I fiddled into it for exactly six hours, when I had to play as a woman-man, I turned off the game and permanently deleted it from my account, graphics of 2012, 15 fps in scenes with more than 3 enemies, plot the retarded, mentally ill Dryckmana, in general, this game should be in the trash, like the console itself.

I wanted to experience more of these characters. Now that I got that wish, I wish I hadn't.

    The characters just don't feel right, the gameplay doesn't feel as satisfying as the first, the story did not need to be told, in fact, I struggle to see what story they were even trying to tell. Obviously it's a tale about revenge, but there are so many questionable and down right dumb or boring events that happened that it made me scoff at my screen a few times saying REALLY?

    The graphics are the only thing that truly felt "Naughy Dog Quality." It truly is the most beautiful looking game I've ever played, but that just doesn't carry it. It drags on waaaaaay past it's welcome in terms on length as well with me just wanting it to end after 15 hours or so.

    All in all, I hope they never end up making a third game. I can't believe I feel that way after how obsessed I was with the first. There just isn't much they could do to make me care about this franchise after this one.

    Great job from the developers, the game looks great, is well polished. The gameplay is improved but it doesn't feel that intense as the last one, where it felt more like a survival (you cared for every shill and bullet you find.
    Usually this makes a game at least 6 but for me it can't even be a 5.
    It was hard to fail with the story because so many interesting things was already prepared from the first part, but somehow they didn't care for that and they preferred to force new characters. Characters that never had enough story to care about and Aby, who had a lot of story, had a very bad written one.
    If her killing Joel at the start was moved close to the end I think it made some things better.
    If the marketing didn't try so much to hide what they already knew people would hate, maybe it would be better revived but I'm sure the game would've sell a lot less.
    The game is very focused on the story so even if it's okay on the other parts the story brings it down.
    Some people may like it, but a lot of people would watch anything and be okay with it. A small number care for real quality.
    It's nothing bad with that. Sometimes you just like something that it's not "wow", smart or mind blowing.
    This game somehow managed to divide people so much and I think this is because of the arrogance that Naughty Dog shows when it comes to this game. They always tell people how good the game is, that they should try it first then ask questions. If a game is good, you don't need "the cook" to tell you how and why the "food is a delicious masterpiece".
    I can make my own opinion, I don't need you to tell me how to fell about your game.

    Is killed without any dialog between him and Aby (his killer). His relationship with Ellie didn't evolve as much and it felt like after all of that he still wasn't able to open up more, to be more friendly (like he was with Sarah).
    His small number of past memories with Ellie shown during the game don't feel as important as if he was still alive.
    If he died after we saw him forming a deeper connection with Ellie, some more bounding, then I would care more and it would make me care more when I see him being killed.
    Ellie.
    She is different, more bitter, more like every other NPC in the game. She is not interested in jokes. Now she wants to get high and make sex. All good and everything but she didn't have any objective until she wanted revenge. She wants revenge and fails but then leaves all she had left behind just to try again?
    What about the virus and stuff like that? I guess she doesn't care about that anymore. She's just a stubborn and stupid little girl that doesn't evolve in any way during the game. She was even more interesting and competent in the first game.
    In the end she clearly doesn't want revenge anymore, it clearly doesn't matter. If she didn't do anything it was objective complete because Aby would've died a slow and painful death. She instead goes to all the trouble to help her, to force her to fight and after she lost some fingers and had even more reasons to take revenge, in just a few seconds she says no.
    That's it. The ending has nothing. I don't care if she survives. She left her last friends/lover for revenge, she doesn't try to find if a cure is possible anymore.
    In the first game's ending I was interested: what will they do, they will remain friends, will she still want to be killed to make a vaccine if she has the chance and knows the truth, is there no more cities unaffected by the virus, will Joel try to be more open with Ellie...
    I had so many questions when part 1 ended but now in part II I don't care, I have nobody to care for, there's no objective, no questions, no future.

    Some people hate her way to much. It's just a very bad written character. She is close to impossible to like.
    They show her torturing Joel until she kills him. She doesn't talk with him, ask him why, ask him if he's sorry, tell him what she thinks about what happened.
    After that I should care for Aby? She tortured slowly someone, without asking or telling why/who/what/when/what now.
    Then she plays with a dog and does a few good things and that somehow makes me forget about how much she insisted on torturing somebody? Kill Joel, but at least Joel did it because they didn't want to let Ellie leave. Ellie was never asked if she was ready to die, she would've never know that it was the end.
    Part II didn't try to build on what Part I did. Make you care for new people, understand what will happen and why, understand what the characters want. They just take out one important character at the start (the main one) then they try to force the others.
    Just showing some good interactions doesn't make good character development.
    How many will buy Part III knowing the story now? Knowing that Naughty Dog doesn't want to make fun games, they want to force a story where we're forced what to think or care about.    … Expand

The last of us part2, similar to its predecessor, is not your typical shoot enemies to win game, it is a "gaming experience" that will guide you through a journey in a post-apocalyptic world, a world cruel and mercyless, where everyone is looking to survive on the cost of everyone else, making it a world where there is no bad, nor good guys. Therefore, the game challenges your emotions and feeling as a player, because what makes something bad in your sense, may be good for someone else, and to understand that, TLOU will put you in the shoes of both ends, and in both scenarios you have nothing to do but face the world and expect the unexpected. This game is thus all about frustration, but unlike a dark souls or doom frustration due to a difficult boss that you can eventually beat, TLOU frustrates you because of how little you can do in this world, because of how small you are compared to everything else, to how little control you have over the main character's way of thinking, because yes, the character will think in a survival way and would not listen to you as a player sitting on a comfy couch behind a 4k screen, as I said, what makes sense to them might not make sense to you, and this caused a lot of people to hate on the game because the characters didn't make similar decisions as the player. This game is a story that vehicles hard emotions and strong opinions, it's a game that you just need to sit down and let it guide you into the uncharted territories of the post-apocalyptic world of the last of us part2, and some plot twist might seem complete non sense at first, it eventually makes sense, if you keep an open mind on the story, and not hate characters just because they did things that hurt you personally, because everyone in TLOU has a name and a story. "It is not a game about good guys fighting bad guys, it is a game about survival".… Expand

I avoided any spoilers and the only thing I knew for sure is we’d get to play as Ellie. The first few hours of the game were intense and heartbreaking but fueled me ever forward seeking out revenge. After all, we didn't purchase this game so we could put down our weapons and all have a tea party. We’re here to watch a great story unfold in a dystopian future while kicking some butt on the side. To my dismay, a ways through the game I no longer had the option to play as Ellie. Instead, half of the game we’re forced to play as a person they villainized within the first hour of gameplay, making it nearly impossible to connect or care about that persons storyline at all.

    I forced myself to play through story parts I just couldn’t get into, with a character I wanted dead, hoping I’d be able to switch back and continue on with my revenge. But after many hours of trying to be optimistic I realized I just had to enjoy the game for what it was, and accept the disappointment.

    If you go into the game with an open mind, (knowing you’ll most likely be disappointed) you’ll probably enjoy it. In fact, I wish I had read reviews and had low expectations to begin with, then maybe I would have had a better experience. (Just make sure you get it at a discount, lmao it’s not worth full price.)    … Expand

    Scenario in generall...
    - why this game is so brutal?? Is it really important to tell a great story and showing killing people in such disgusting way?? It's like a cheap trick to attract.

    - LGBT stuff in the production. I don't mind and no problem in generall, but why is it so huge here?? Playing this game I had a feeling that someone pushing me this directly to the throat. 50% of the soldiers are women, lesbians, strongwomen and for God's sake - pregnant women jumping on the rope and fighting with zombies ?! This is nonesens! Who wrote this scenario - 22 years old developer ??

    - Finally, Tommy visit Ellie to break her sweet farm story and forcing her to finish the revenge... Really??
    Please.... such things not happening in real life! It's like a: "You have to kill Abby as you promised!",

    At first you will play with Elle. You will work to build Elle’s character perks and weapons but you’ll never be able to max her out because you switch over to play the rest of the game as Abby, somewhere around the half-way point.

    Abby has her own weapons and perks, so it may feel like starting the game over from the beginning. Visually I enjoyed the game, but it doesn’t offer much else in the way of variety. There’s only one way to pass through an area. Even with one entrance and one exit, the game literally guides you through. If you’re taking too long searching for ammo, the game tries to give you on onscreen hint as to how to reach the next load point. There’s not much challenge to be found. There are a ton of playable story parts that have nothing to do with the present time. These moments last an average of 10 minutes and are especially slow because you won’t get to use your weapons or work toward building your stats. These flashbacks are usually some variation of following another character to listen to them talk. It felt like the studio didn’t have enough material so they threw in a few hours of playable-flashbacks to make the game feel longer. Couple those flashbacks with only playing the as same character for 10 hours and you’ve got yourself a boring experience. Overall I thought the story was well written but switching characters and losing all of my stats in the middle of the game was a terrible design choice. After grinding and searching each room to build up Elle’s perks—only to switch characters—made me lose all interest. I found myself not caring about Abby’s story and skipping most of her cinematics. Not worth much more than $5 or $10 IMHO.    … Expand

They kill Joel so ellie has a reason pursue Abby and kill all her friends. By the time you get to her you get this "life lesson" on how revenge isn't what you should be going for so you don't kill her. So let's just forget that you literally killed like all of her friends let alone your friends were also killed trying to help you peruse abby. Like I get the "life lesson" and all but they are in a completely different world where everything is **** up. I don't think our world and theirs is at all the same. And don't even get me started on the Joel death... yeah I get that his story is "over" but don't forget that he's the one who we've been with since the beginning and started it all. The story of the last of us was the growing relationship between Joe and Ellie and how Joel was coping with the loss of his daughter. Like they definitely could have built up on that story especially with the way they ended the first one. I was hoping for the last of 2 to be like Ellie finds out the truth, hates Joel for it, Ellie then tries to kill or hurt Joel, they have some sort of fight and you have to choose a side ya know. Idk I just hate how they added this random abby **** to come in and kill Joel cause Joel killed her random npc dad who wasn't even relevant in the first one. Abby is just a hypocrite, I don't find any connection to her and don't feel sorry for her at all.     El juego técnicamente es muy bueno, pero le falla la historia de forma brutal. Cuando lo acabé me pregunte si había valido la pela dedicar 22 horas por una historia así que no llevaba a ninguna parte. En muchos momentos acababa con mal cuerpo por lo deprimente que me resultaba. Si llega a ser una película, la dejo a medias.
