    Perhaps this game's biggest accomplishment is that it has the EA stamp on the cover, but yet didn't destroy the experience by trying to turn it into a sleazy monetized mess. Give props where props are due, while not perfect and really could have been so much deeper in all aspects, this is a fun game and worth it if you're craving a new Star Wars game to play.

    Graphics are beautiful but everything else about this game is crap. After the 2 hour mark i couldnt help but despise this game. This the the “last jedi” of games. Cant wait to get my money back. Gave it a 2 at least for the graphics.

    For Star Wars fans looking for a story driven game this is what we've been waiting for the past 4 years. Rich environments and a good story. The game play is fun and not frustrating. Some people will want to play this simply for the story.

    Star Wars and Dark Souls fanboy here. To be honest I find movement in this game to be super janky. Like alpha jank. Dudes legs wobble when he walks and the camera feels like I’m flying a drone. Nothing feels grounded. Nothing has weight. Looks pretty good though. Story is cool.

    Love it, it's definately a throwback to the original saga, but dkne with decency and so much passion. I'd say it's the most intetesting soulslike game I've ever played, and I played most of them. Satisfying

    Average game with poor animations and week combat system. It's trying to be Sekiro, Uncharted, Zelda, etc, but all of these games are better. It's trying to be Stars Wars but it does not feel like Star Wars. Still ok game, that can be enjoyable to play.

    Hands down one of the best Jedi games ever.
    I didn't expect much (or anything at all) after the recent EA failures, but this game surprised me in a good way. A proper single player experience, Uncharted-like exploration, Sekiro combat, character customization, plot development, awesome visuals... count me in!

    I would give it an 8.5, if I could. This game nails the feel of Star Wars in the way that you remember KotoR nailing it. There is some jank, and uniquely frustrating aspects of combat and exploration; however, the flaws aren't enough to sour the experience for me.

    It's a mix of Tomb Raider and Sekiro, with some of the most interesting and rewarding metroid-vania level design I've played    I would give it an 8.5, if I could. This game nails the feel of Star Wars in the way that you remember KotoR nailing it. There is some jank, and uniquely frustrating aspects of combat and exploration; however, the flaws aren't enough to sour the experience for me.

    It's a mix of Tomb Raider and Sekiro, with some of the most interesting and rewarding metroid-vania level design I've played this generation. The combat does a good job of managing the reward of getting stronger, and ramping up difficulty. Enemies are varied enough to keep things interesting, but there are enough basic stormtroopers, etc. to make you feel like a powerful force-wielder. This game is very much a love letter to the fans of Star Wars, and if you are not big on the world the original trilogy created (and Rogue One expanded on), you will probably find this game lacking. The polish isn't on the level of God of War or Uncharted, but it does match their ability to completely immerse the player in the Star Wars universe.

    The things that bug me the most are issues with what seems like input delay in combat, and using the force. If you're a Souls fan, I'm sure this wont be an issue, but the clunky controls can make combat a little difficult when you're expecting an attack or force push to get off before you're hit. It can be very punishing when you get ganged up on after thinking you had killed the guy before he shanked you, but it's not game-breaking. The platforming/traversal can get a bit wonky, and the ice-surfing bits are atrocious. Again, these issues aren't enough to kill my excitement while playing, or overall enjoyment.    … Expand

    This game is extremely outdated for a AAA game released in late 2019. As I stated earlier, the physics and animations are PS2 quality. The graphics look like a PS4 launch title. The loading screens are long. This game lacks the level of detail that most AAA games this gen have. The developers were obviously too lazy and greedy to develop a true AAA game.

    There is no mutliplayer. So once you beat the story, this game will go back to the shelf collecting dust. Charging $60 for a game with no replay value is a cashgrab. It's amazing how developers could just use buzzwords like "no microtransactions" and the consumers will just blindly praise the game. Microtransactions don't belong in singleplayer only games. I will not praise something that is expected in games. Praising SP only games with no microtransactions is like praising GTA games for having drivable vehicles. Uncharted 4 has microtransactions and multiplayer and it is superior to this trash game. I only recommend you pick this game up if it's $5 or less, or just wait until its on EA Access.    … Expand

    Respawn Entertainment signaled its revival through this game. They managed to capture both Star Wars and Soul-like fans. The deletion of multiplayer and removal of loot box have come as a very successful element, and this is why we are looking forward for EA's next move.

    Incredible! A single-player experience that focuses on tight combat and immersive story-driven narrative. It's been a long time coming but this is the ONE to finally prove that EA are perhaps worthy of the license. More like this please EA, Less BS "Live-services".
    Running on a RTX 2070 i7-9700k 4K HDR - perfectly fluid and a dream to play.
    Highly recommended.

    I have never experienced a Metroidvania so flawlessly created in 3D. This is not only one of the best Star Wars Games ever made but also one of the few 3D Metroidvania genres done right in 3D. A lot of design risks were taken in this and it is worthy of a 10/10 in my opinion. I have over 30 hours in the game on Grand Master difficulty and still have more to do.

    It is amazing, that to gain universal acclaim and 10/10 on all portals nowadays, the game just needs to be good, not even excellent and faaaar from perfect. This is 100% fan service product, with rehashed boring story and mediocre graphics. Game is also ridiculously easy even on max hard level.     I really, really can't understand why they're blaming this remarkable Star Wars game. This well-made video game showed me kind of 'hope' that Star wars series can be proceeded in game. In addition, I think it has surpassed the movie in contents. I sincerely hope that a sequel to this game will be released.

    Much of the game is pulled from UC2, which is 10 years old now. It was marketed as a souls-like or something like Sekiro but it's far more casual and the character models are not as good as in games like Death Stranding or other top PlayStation games. The characters are also very bland and I did not care much about what actually happened.

    I waited, believed, and ended up disappointed. The plot, as always, is "Disney". 60% cliche, 30% repetitions of the old, 10% rubbish. Level design is satisfactory. The graphics are acceptable.

The worlds feel open I got lost a couple times thinking I missed something, but just needed to use my eyes better.     Let me start off by saying, if you've been following the development of this game you know it is clearly derivative. The exploration is like Tomb Raider, the combat borrows from Souls/Sekiro, and the level design is definitely Metroidvania whereby areas are locked until you return with certain gear. But all of that being said, it is all put together well and with a Star Wars coat of paint over it that makes it extremely refreshing in a way.

    The Combat, while not as difficult as Souls/Sekiro, it still offers a good challenge. Obviously a big difference here is having force powers. These powers are cool and feel powerful. You absolutely cannot go into a battle just button mashing and if you do, you will find yourself on the reloading screen once again (Which take a long time to load, but not too bad if you have an SSD). The battles against other melee wielding foes in particular are so exciting and they feel epic.

    The Exploration is EXCELLENT and the 3D map that is borrowed from games like Doom 2016 are so helpful. The map even lets you know what areas you need powers to unlock and its so great for backtracking.

    The Story so far has been fantastic and you can see it in Cals face, the internal struggle he is going through as he tries to process his trauma of surviving Order 66. Some may call him bland, but my defense to that is.. well he was just a scared kid with a lightsaber on the run from the government. He hasn't had the time or freedom to develop much of a personality. He just wants to live. I personally find him and the rest of the cast great additions and the cinematography and writing has been great so far.

    The sound design in this game is also top notch and I have nothing else to report on here.
    The music is AMAZING and extremely fitting to the SW universe. Bravo

    The Customization to a small degree is also something to be praised. It is far deeper than what I had expected. There are 5 parts to a lightsaber that can be customized at any time on your ship (which serves as a hub). However the other customization is a bit lacking. You can only choose from external ponchos to throw on Cal. While this is nice I wouldve preferred some more options. There are also 1 off design choises for BD-1 and your ship.

    I could go on and on about how well the game is made but it is not without its flaws. As I mentioned before, the loading screens can be quite lengthy and on the harder difficulties, you are going to die.. a lot. it can be a tad annoying but not game breaking by any means.

    There is also quite a bit of backtracking. That just comes with the metroidvania type of level design. While it personally does not bother me, I can see how it may bother other people.

    DISMEMBERMENT: I understand this is a sore topic for some. This is a 2 part answer. Yes, dismemberment is in the game. non-humans are dismembered regularly and it looks and feels great. Humanoid enemies on the other hand just get scorch marks. Similar to the movies, HUMAN DISMEMBERMENT is in the game, however it is reserved for bigger story driven moments. Probably to make it more dramatic and meaningful.

    I personally do not care if stormtroopers can be dismembered regularly, but I understand how it may upset others. I am just happy to have a polished SW game as a Jedi.

    Technically speaking, I have had zero issues. The game is running very well in the performance mode on a PS4 Pro. There are notable dips and some hitches but its not terribly distracting
    I also have a PC and may double dip on this title as I am enjoying it so much and want to see how it looks/runs on a PC. I've heard good things.

    All in all, this game is a dream for any Star Wars fan. it is not perfect, but it is excellent. EA has beating Star Wars fans down long enough. Respawn has come to save the day and everyone who has been thinking about getting this game needs to go out and buy it! We need to reward Respawn for a job well done and also tell EA that these are the types of games we want out from the SW franchise.    … Expand

    This is a good game at it's core, but it's dragged down by an utterly arbitrary narrative, repetitive game-play, backtracking through explored areas to fill the time and the general sense of frustration that this COULD have been a great title.

    Visuals are ok, music is ok, customisation options are great.

    The Force and Jedi lore is broken after the Last Jedi, luckily, the game happens before all those nonsense and you know there will be cameos from the movies. To avoid spoiler, I would say all Star War fans and nerds should rejoice after seeing those cameos.

    I hope Respawn can do more Star Wars SINGLEPLAYER game, perhaps, next time, we can try the dark side storyline, maybe as a apprentice of Darth Vader. That will be very fun.    … Expand

    Fantastic Gameplay! im mixed on the story, its kind of too simple and doesnt try too hard to be unique but for being the first single player story driven EA Star Wars game i guess they wanted to play it safe. (which is fine) For what the story was they did it in the best way they could. Mixed with the gameplay this surely makes an awesome star wars JEDI experience!

    Decent game Very Hack and slash no real tactics to fighting offers very little more then what Battlefront 2 overs when using Jedi's/Villains. I was hoping for a little more tactics in combat but that's just me.
    Story seem decent so far Some of the facial animations are a little dodgy. Overall It is what you would expect from EA not breaking any moulds not    Not completed it yet.

    Overall It is what you would expect from EA not breaking any moulds not trying anything new but using mechanics that are tried and tested...Which doesn't make it bad just Again what you would expect.

    From a gameplay point of view it does nothing new but the story seems engaging enough for your to not be to bothered.

    Tenía pocas espectativas con este juego debido a los tropiezos de EA con esta franquicia. Solo puedo decir que es uno de los juegos más entretenidos de este año con su mezcla de formulas de otras sagas. Tiene elementos Metroidvanias que le vienen muy bien, Tiene fórmulas jugables a lo "Prince of Persia" bastante pulidas.     It has soul style battles but falls short to sekiro. it has map puzzles but falls short to tomb raider. The story is linear with no choice for anything. There are hidden loot boxes but only gives you skins and custom paints.

    If you are a star wars fan you may like this game. But if you are not, all you will get is mix of tiny pieces from various games.

    Respawn did it again. I love Titan fall and I barely play shooters. They mix Sekiro with tomb raider and create a title that gives you a change and fun. The performance on ps4 is not good though. Frame rate drops and freezings are everywhere but can all be fixed by patches.

    One of the best games of the year. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order brings with it a deep customization/skill tree system as well as hard/rewarding combat and lightsaber play. The story hooks you right away as you being your journey as Cal and look to restore faith in the Once great Jedi order. However some frame rates drops, clunky camera angles, and controls hold the game back from being aOne of the best games of the year. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order brings with it a deep customization/skill tree system as well as hard/rewarding combat and lightsaber play.     I’ve never been a Star Wars Mark and this is my first game I’ve bought for $60 and it is Simply Phenomenal ! I’m several hours into the game and there’s nothing I’m disappointed about whatsoever . The game has some similarities with other great games such as Uncharted , Marvel Spider-Man, God of War as well as its own special touches .     Wow what a Star Wars game. It’s the game I’ve been waiting for since Kotor 2

    I don’t know how anyone is giving this game anything lower than a 9. But to each is own. It’s not a perfect game, but wow it’s a blast.

    It’s Star Wars mixed with every Sony exclusive

    Que ganas tenia de un juego enfocado para un jugador y sus mecanicas son maravillosas, bebe de juegos en mi opinion como tom raider uncharted sekiro etc y hace un conjunto de sobresalimte encima en un universo dificil de igualar como starrs wars. Un 10

    Another solid game by Respawn. EA being hands off and allowing them to create what they wanted to from Day 1 and before the merger/buy out was a good move. Maybe this will show EA that they dont need to build games around monetization to create quality products!

    Although this game has a great story, a great cast and well written characters it doesn't live up to old games in relation to it's gameplay.
    This was built up by some as the spiritual successor to the old "Force Unleashed" games but it doesn't even come close to them.     This was built up by some as the spiritual successor to the old "Force Unleashed" games but it doesn't even come close to them. What made those games great was the fact that they contained revolutionary technology that allowed you to play around with force powers in a way you never could before. You could grip enemies with your force-powers and lift them around. The force mechanic in those games was like playing with toys, you could make stormtroopers grab other stormtroopers, make them grab ledges and play around with them. You could lift droids and throw them out of windows to make the air flow out with physics reacting to it.
    Now somehow over a DECADE later this game can't live up to those kinds of physics. You can't even force grip enemies and watch them ragdoll instead all you have is push and pull with pre-baked animations. When I played Force Unleashed back in the day I imagined that by now we would have ultra-realistic physics in games like this with light sabers cutting through enemies and having enemies react realistically to things happening around them but it's the opposite.
    Game developers seem to be regressing in skill instead of progressing, it's like all the fun of game development has been replaced by soulless corporate culture. All the focus lays in making the games "progressive" and "safe" in social issues instead of making them actually progress in technology and gameplay. For example the devs probably got sat down by the "suits" in corporate who told them to tone everything down to avoid any controversy, or as normal people like to call it "avoid making it interesting".

    This game is another step back in game development and is overshadowed yet again by games from 10-20 years ago, maybe because back then game developers made games for gamers and not just for the money. It fails to stand out in a generation of generic games made for profit but it is still an enjoyable game. It's just not as enjoyable as it could be if they just put more focus on gameplay, technology and physics.    … Expand

    Fantastic game, it is not KotOR 3 or the second coming of Jedi Academy, but it is still a small beam of hope that we can get one of those games soon enough. Respawn did well with this one, even if I feel the main character is a bit generic and sometimes you just want to punch his face.

In what it seems to be an effort to save Star Wars from the Disney crap (along with the Mandalorian, appealing those fans of the REAL SW) this game is set between episode 3 and 4, and combines exploration, a little RPG elements, adventure, nice strategic combat (not at the level of the Souls series or Sekiro but challenging in its own way), beautifulWow! What a beautiful piece of Art.     A very bad Star Wars Tomb Raider/Uncharted clone. The graphics are sputtery (at best) even on my 1080ti SLI machine. You spend a lot of time climbing, and it isn't any more fun than it was in the previously mentioned games. The controls are very clunky, both in and out of combat.

    It is no wonder they put an embargo on reviews before release.

    For a soulsborne copy it has a pretty short story of about 10-12 hours. Gameplay was mediocre and not as rewarding.

    Great game overall. Fun exploration, and fun combat. The developers took ideas from several other games, and managed to create a fun and accessible Star Wars experience. Choosing your difficulty will allow you to have the experience you want to have. I’m going on hard and it’s very fun. 9/10 for me. Yes get it.

    It's game for best, i'm Fan Star Wars, How many times has disney stamped on the bones of the fans and to the universe. But this game is not ****. the soundtrack, plot, gameplay, mechanics of Sool like games all at the highest level. I lead my blog on games on YouTube, and I will praise this game, because it is really good, in General 10/10.

    With engaging combat, exploration and strong performances this is a real treat for Star Wars fans. I can't believe EA didn't mess this up...    single player star wars.... I can't believe it.. after the lackluster battlefront 2 campaign and the remarkably short force unleashed games we get something which is visually stunning and carefully crafted by people who clearly adore this universe.

The lightsaber combat is a step down compared to previous entries, it feels more like a bat, and the force powers feel really weak.     If you get over a slower start without powers, we can assure you, that it will only get better and better. An entertaining mix of Uncharted, Tomb Raider and Dark Souls set in the Star Wars universe. You don’t have to worry; the game is worth its full price. [Issue#300]

    As someone with limited time to play games, the shame of Fallen Order stems from multiple frustrations. It’s hard to fight and, worse, it’s hard to move. The game’s timing issues distracted me from both the story and the beautifully constructed worlds; I was too focused on simply staying alive. My many (many, many, many) deaths discouraged me from exploring worlds — all of them beautiful — as did the simple fact that traveling by foot (even a Jedi’s Force-enhanced feet) takes forever.
