This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I knew it was too good to be true when i heard EA was giving us a full story based offline Starwars jedi game. This game starts great with exciting cutscenes and some thrilling platforming, problem is it all goes downhill from there. It really looks like the devs were not able to finish the game. Things like texture/lighting issues, no real character customization (different colour ponchos/Outfits), the seed collecting makes no sense and after my 5th ingame lootbox it is not exciting anymore either. The story feels rushed too, a good example are the bosses, the only boss with a bit of a back story that gets explored in the game is Trilla Sunduri, the others like the 9th sister and Taron Malicos get minimal introduction. The writers even try to make Taron somewhat mysterious but after 2 cutscenes we already get to kill him, we never get to explore him as a character, this would be fine if we had more of these bosses to fight in the game. by the time i get all my powers the game is finished, sure i can explore the nooks and crannies of all the planets to max out my skill tree, but for what? I cant fight a boss anymore, there are no DLC planned where i can use my power and i cannot duel against my friends. I already played it on the highest difficulty so there is no point in playing the game again.

It simply feels like EA wanted to shut us up by giving us what "we want", but with minimal effort/investment so they can say, "See guys, sales are not great so we were right in saying games dotn want story based offline games".

The things i do like are the combat system, the slow but steady skill tree progress, the feeling of movement and the sounds and music are amazing.

i was expecting to be let loose in the starwars universe, with shops, ships and cantinas but it feels more like a extended Demo than a triple A game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is definitely one of the best Star Wars games ever made, and maybe the best.

You got a lot of story in between episode 3 and 4 happening in this game - I mean a lot which also includes other Jedi's (Masters and Padwans) story from the day order 66 was executed. If you walk around to explore the planets there are a lot of echoes to be found.

The combat system is very good and you have four difficult modes to choose between, and you can at any point, except from in battles, switch to one of the other difficulties.

There are some surprises throughout the game - both story related and boss fight related, and not to say gameplay related.

    ONE SPOILER:

You'll get a double bladed lightsaber during the game's story - you may also get it earlier.

    A STORY / GAMEPLAY SPOILER:

You'll fight some known bosses including a known Sith!

You are barely a jedi knight, and it shows. Your chatacter Cal Kestis doesn't feel overpowered in anyway, although the game makes it satisfying to expand your abilities to a point where you feel powerfull, yet not overpowered.
With that said however, there are a few things that could have been better. Like the loot you'll find throughout the game in chests and what are known as "force echoes". You can craft and tinker with your own lightsaber, and these chests gives you various hilts, switches, and so on. Instead of purely cosmetic, I'd like them to have a more purpose to them. Like hilts that gives you faster swing speed, more initial damage, blocking costs less stamina or so on. Also I'd like to point out that the map feels uninspired and clunky. This is a nitpick from my part though. I finished the game on Jedi Master difficulty, and cleared the Platinum trophy on PS4. So when finding all secrets and chests, the map was of minimal use to me.
The story is is decent, and better than any of the newer movies (in my opinion). All the characters I grew to love and care about. The only point that I took away was for the loot feeling "useless". But still fun to grind because of combat and puzzles. This is of course all just my opinion. I would strongly recommend this game to any Star Wars fans and casuals alike :).

Jedi Fallen Order a new star wars single-player game published by EA made by respawn entertainment. Why do i say this? Well for me it seems this game almost got 1-2 points more on the review scale only because its a single player game published by EA without lootboxes or microtransactions. Dont get me wrong i hate loot boxes and the mt **** but this game is imho not as good as all the critics say. Now i got this out of the way we get to the acutal review.

A bit of plot summary for the first two hours of gameplay:
Jedi Fallen Order is a game about a young Jedi that hides from the Imperial Forces that seem to control the entire Galaxy all is good and well until he uses his force and suddenly his whole live seems to fall apart and his ass is hunted by a trillion of storm troopers and more until suddenly some rebels come along to rescue him and he joins their forces. Thats to plot summary for the first 1-2 hours of gameplay and the hook to go on an adventure to collect more power and eventually fight the leaders of the Imperial forces. Which is in my opinion no really good story nore is it very
exciting to go through the first hour with only jumping around and talking about nonsense with some side charakters that does nothing for the story and nothing to build an emmersive universe its just bland out boring (imo). Even in force unleashed i had a charakter that was evil from the beginning and changed throughout the story (it wasnt that good of a story either) but at least i had something different than the underdog jedi padawan **** for the 100th time.

    Gameplay:
You have some different comination of attacks and some different force attacks like force push and slowing enemys overall nothing really exciting or new which is kinda dissapoiting imo because this game could have done so much more than just using the old meachnics and doing nothing creative or new. It goes a bit for the style of a souls like genre so you can parry and dodge roll enemy attacks. If you die you have to attack the enemy that killed you to absorb some of your xp back again which is overall a neat idea and the souls like gameplay feels kinda good i want to say if the enemys werent programmed to follow your every movement which makes the doding feel kinda pointless to me. Some more wasted opportunitys are in the lack of physics while you can push around some enemys and grenades you cant use your enviroment good enough to kill some enemys with force etc. Again in force unleashed it was so much better hell even vases only crumble one by one if you force push a bunch of them while in tfu you push everything in front of you and it breaks crumbles into pieces which was very satisfying to watch. Also this game goes for a kind of a Metroid Style which imo sucks very hard. So you have this wall in the game and you see its there for being broken but you just cant because you haven learned force push so you have to complete two more planets to backtrack through the whole planet again to find a different style for your clothing how pointless. i dont understand why this is in the game maybe so stretch the time you can play this game but it just doesnt work for me when you have play through 50% of the game twice.

    Bugs:
This game is sadly sometimes kinda flawed as it could have used some more polishing. Sometimes when you fall of a cliff (when you fall you loose some hp and spawn back up the plattform again which is good so you dont insta die) you spawn right in the middle of the enemys you were fighting so you have no chance for recovery time this will result in an immediate death. Enemys that touch water will immediatley die. Enemys hit you in mid roll almost everytime. Physical bugs that had me flying through the air severeal meters.

    Overall:
What can i say i really want to like this game but in so many places this game feels lackluster and unpolished maybe with a little more time and effort it could have been a good game but in this case its just a solid 50 imho. Its a single player game from EA with no loot boxes thats a nice start but its not enough to make this game a good game

Great Star Wars game, love it (a good mix of "Metroid + Dark Souls + Uncharted 4") ...

playing highest difficult and love it...BUT be warned, you must give the game time to get used to the controls (and on highest setting, thr 1st "Frog" boss is too hard; leave it for later, tiĺl u practiced on weaker versions)

Jedi Fallen Order is better than the previous Star Wars garbage under Disney, but it's mediocre at best.

Jedi Fallen Order is better than the previous Star Wars garbage under Disney, but it's mediocre at best.

The "Uncharted/Tomb Raider" sections of levels (they're easily recognized) are abysmal, platforming in this game is comparable to Bubsy 3D. Not one time while wall climbing did I feel confident that the player character would move where I wanted him to, which resulted multiple times in the character just jumping randomly off of walls/vines.

Combat is clumsy, the Jedi Knight games did lightsaber combat way better. This game's combat feels like smacking two action figures against each other. Plunging attacks are less reliable than in Dark Souls 2. Simply falling and pressing attack most of the time will NOT result in a plunging attack. Even Zelda Ocarina of Time, released in 1998, knew that a falling player pressing the attack button means they want to do a falling attack. This game apparently doesn't know that. The player character's animations are all far slower than every other enemy's attack animation, creating windows where enemies actually hit you two to three times before a single attack animation is complete.

And while we're on animation, this game has really bad animation quality. The player character runs like he's using Morrowind animations, and any action that interrupts an animation has just awful transitioning.

The game provides absolutely no reason for enemies to respawn when meditating, which is massively immersion breaking. Dark Souls and Code Vein both have in-world explanations for why enemies respawn. Killing Stormtroopers, running around the corner and meditating, and then returning to the same Stormtroopers you just killed makes absolutely no sense.

The game has some pretty bad balancing issues. Some areas have enemies that are pretty easy, and then suddenly there's this enemy that will kill you in a single hit just around the corner. With the amount of space between save points, this becomes a massive annoyance, more egregious than Dark Souls.

Performance issues. Can't speak for console, I'm playing on PC. Now, my rig is not weak. Intel i5 4690k, 16GB RAM, and a GTX1080Ti. This game will sometimes, randomly, get frame rate drops so bad that I would rather be stuck in pre-DSFix Undead Berg. Not to mention the game has crashed 4 times already.

The game isn't necessarily bad. Graphics are good, music and audio quality are good. The camera control is decent. But the game is also not good. The character writing is bad. Some animations last way too long and are unskippable, like when the player character inspects his lightsaber after customising it. This animation is pointless, lasts way too long (about 7 or so seconds), and is repeated every time you customise your lightsaber. You cannot move and it just serves to waste time. You already saw what it looks like when you customised it, you don't need to see it a second time. Also, enemies can aggro while you're opening a chest for cosmetics, and you can't do anything while they damage you two to three times as your animation resets to idle before going to combat.

All in all, this game is pretty disappointing. I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone to pay for this game. Unless you get it used for under $30 USD.

Expand

The game boils down to you being able to hit a button to block / parry at the right time, redoing levels to artificially extend the game length to go to areas you couldn't to get a different color poncho or something that literally has no impact other than being a cosmetic change.

Would it really have been so hard to have some of the gear give bonus' like +5 attack, +5 HP for the effort of getting the crates?

Weakest / limited Jedi / Padawan ever. Want to jump up to a ledge just above you - half the time you can and half you cannot. I'm talking like a few feet and you can't do it.

Rewards are laughable - spend time to get to a hard crate just to get a cosmetic change like a poncho. The only true gear upgrade is the double bladed lightsaber operates slightly differently for large numbers of enemies apparently.

Most Jedi powers are blah. If you want to play a game to experience being a Jedi - this isn't it.

His special ability is some ability to glimpse a past event. So you will find these blue shimmering things to connect with it and hear " this person died here" or "there was a fight here". Seriously - lmfao?

The purpose of these is to gain experience so you can get upgraded force powers that are so so at best.

They make part of levels inaccessible so you have to do them over to get to some crate that was inaccessible earlier in the game just to get "a new paint job for the Mantis - your ship". An over used method for games to make it seem like there is more content than there actually is.

Not very open world - very strict / limited to the path you will be taking. I kept thinking of Galaxy Quest when Sigorney Weaver would say "what is the purpose of this stuff in a ship when there were flames and chompers - the writers need to be shot" - the level design is set for plat former but that just really pushes the player away from the immersion as it's just too out there to be realistic on how you have to advance. Stormtrooper losses having to jump and skip around their base must have been enormous.

That's the game when you cut through all the hype and bs reviews.

Also, I really liked exploring. Moving around the world is made very cool as well. Vertical and open levels are beautiful and give a good impression on the player. The only problem game has here is a very poor variety of enemies.
The design of the world is really gorgeous, but sometimes I could suspect loading textures(PS pro). Level design is also very smart and makes you come back to the previous places and explore it. The game doesn't have any microtransactions, all of the customizations you can get only by exploring the world.

The only problems the game have are:
    1) Optimization ( sometimes frames drop on PS pro on performance mode. Sometimes long loading screens)
    2) The story sometimes is pretty obvious and silly
    3) The game has quite a lot of content but I found this game very short.
    4) Enemies are very similar (You just got used to moveset of each of them and every next time you meet enemy you won't have any problems with fighting)

In conclusion, I want to say that Respawn made a really good adventure game with a lot of cool mechanics, staging and quite good graphics. Hope EA will continue doing games such a this Respawn entertainment makes strong belives.

It’s just not those games though. But it’s OK, because, to be fair, those are the best games ever made. This game is still really fun.

But you really shouldn’t directly compare this to Batman/Spider-Man. True, it’s not quite as good, but it’s also different in a way I didn’t even know I wanted. After completing 1/3 of the game, I just really like it, the thing is, although it’s quite linear, you can go back to planets and, after opening shortcuts, those planets become pretty open-world-ish, I.e. you can indeed tool around and slash enemies with your lightsaber and discover stuff. I know a lot of people complain about the platforming, and yes, there is a bit too much of that.

Think of it as less an open world game (although it’s open enough at a certain point) and more of a puzzle game. Think of it as more Arkham asylum than Arkham city. It feels like playing sudoku with a lightsaber— not something you thought you wanted, but fun and rewarding.

I thought they did a good job with the story. It’s G rated stuff, but your friendship with BD1 is objectively heartwarming. The story isn’t like Oscar-worthy, but it’s a compelling adventure.

The combat is fun although, to be honest, the controls feel a little sluggish. The controls aren’t as crisp as Star Wars battlefront 2. And that’s certainly a negative, but I will say that I think they’re going for a more “rhythm” feel to combat than brute force. So, ultimately, your lightsaber feels weaker than in battlefront. But then again, you’re a weaker character than Luke or Obi wan. But there’s more nuance to fighting, and you get more nuanced force powers, too.

It’s a really solid game. For comparison, if I had to give grades, I’d give Arkham knight like 8.7, Spider-Man a 9.3 and JFO, like 7.8. The puzzles are challenging but fun, there are enough “rewards” (e.g. new skills/cosmetic lightsaber saber and upgrades) to keep momentum going.

I do worry about replay-ability because, as others have noted, theres no new game plus. Hopefully they’ll add something like that.

On balance, the game is highly derivative and spends more time trying to channel the spirit of Tomb Raider and Dark Souls than it does evoking the spirit of the Star Wars universe. It fails at almost everything that KOTOR succeeded at leaving players feeling like they were trampled by a brand stamp rather than given a chance to participate in a fictional world.

As for the story and voice acting; it was solid, but Cal's comments quickly became annoying to me. And the story line was great until it ended about 12 hours in. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This review is specifically focused on the plot. This game felt more like star wars to me than all SW products since TLJ. Not to mention that the characters have charisma, are likeable, the story is very good with no agenda driven storytelling and respects the SW mythology. I really loved the character of Cal and it made me think what a wasted potential Rey had, but Cal is likeable, screws up, is selfless, has a cool spider man + iron man personality but mantaining seriousness in serious moments, a much more believable character than rey, who has none of it, i was excited about the character of rey at first but she is extremely flat, she shows no selflessness, flaws, and has no personality (she doesn't show selfishness either, but no selflessness as well) Rey had potential but was a wasted character that is trumped by Cal Kestis in terms of good character writing, in fact this was the first character in star wars that i not only loved, but would love to hang out with, now i really hope there's even a sequel to this game. THIS game in fact, is the best thing happened to SW since 2015, THIS one, unlike the sequel trilogy just made me feel like it is actually made by people who DO, truly love star wars. My only complaint was that all the adventure to get the holocron ended up being for nothing, wich was kinda obvious that it was gonna happen but still, i would like to see them really slowing the empire down pulling a big heroic deed against it, but i didn't see it. Other than that, great game, a game wich is the latest proof that SW fans are not impossible to please, just put someone like Kevin feige, dave filoni in charge of lucasfilm and you will see what i'm talking about Expand

This game try to look like sekiro, but combat is much less responsive than Sekiro. If you think parry was bad on sekiro, here it is much worse. It is not harder, it is just not that responsive. Hit boxes of enemies are absolute magic. Dodging and rolling are bad too. This game is not interesting neither on hard, nor on easy. Enemies are just stupid rats half of the time, which somehow are stronger the jedi and quicker than jedi. Parkour is the worst part of the game. 1) Puzzles in game are boring and not needed. They are worst than tomb raider. 2) Parkour is just bugged. You often see some place where you should do some jump... and this jump sometimes happen from 10th-20th times. And not because you can't do it, but just because it is stupid and buggy and your hero is not catching everytime when he should. Or maybe because noone tested them more than once. Story is boring. Graphic is not bad, but nothing impressive. PS4 loading time are enormous. Better play it on easy, cos every death is 2-3 mins of loading time, anyway nothing interesting is there except trying to parry bugged hits from mele. Zones are extremely boring and empty. They are looking the same way as Dragon Age Inquisition. If you liked Inquisition, than you will like this game too. Loot in this game... it just doesn't exist. Everything you find are skins for various stupid things in the game. The only noticable is color of the droid and color of the lightsabber. Absolutely no other items exist.

I can't understand what is happening with EA single games. Why they are doing them at all if they have no clue what to do. Both Bioware and Respawn are doing some mediocre single player games. Than EA are saying that games as a service are more profitable. Of course... no one want to play such junks. Ubisoft are doing boring game too, repetitive sometimes, but at least gameplay is fine in their games and somehow games are completed and not looking as stupid demo. I don't want to blame that EA is the reason for stupid single player games, but somehow this is happening again and again and again...

PS I would advice no one to buy this game at least if it is not on sales. How it have that high score, I don't know. I don't want to say that people don't have rights for their own opinion, but if someone is saying that customizing skin of your lightsaber is interesting and give to game 10 out of 10, better don't believe. Except if you think that changing skin of lightsaber is the most interesting gameplay in 2019. I have some feeling that all 10s reviews are payed, because most of them are just pure lie, neither bugs are fixed, nor nothing. Vote with your wallet or at least than come and write review after you buy this game, because of someone who advice it to you.

Sometimes the movement/climbing feels clunky or not accurate. The combat at times feels rewarding, but isn't always smooth. A common issue I find is being grouped up on enemies where I can't do much or the damage being thrown at me too much. It just feels like it didn't get that final polish before release. But overall, definitely worth the time and effort to play, you may just have a few hiccups along the way. Expand

This is a good game. For me the best star wars game I played. Good Graphics and the gameplay is like Dark Souls or Sekiro. But there some bugs like texture popping, falling down endlessly in one area and late spawn of enemies. Even with bugs this is a must play game. I recommend playing this game. You should buy it.

Good gameplay mechanics - satisfying combat in particular where some battles can feel like an achievement once overcome, with a resting function that respawns all enemies which adds a tactical component to gameplay, as well as a relatively good story make this at its core a decent star wars game.

    Why 7?

    - poor level design. you will genuinely struggle to know where you are meant to be going - this becomes a particular problem once you're about half way through the game and you return to earlier areas but with new objectives - the planets are surprisingly large areas, but are very convoluted and it is not always clear how to approach your next objective.

    - the save mechanics can be frustrating as they will at times result in you re-spawning far away from where you died, with all enemies returning. there is no automatic save, you have to use meditation points in order to save progress

    - terrible FPS drops to the point where you lose boss battles because you literally cannot see what is happening when game temporarily drops to 10fps for 2 seconds.

    - art work makes characters look like mass effect andromeda...

    - only a limited amount of force abilities meaning there is no lightning, Jedi mind trick, or force choke in the game. Yes you play as a Jedi on the light side, but its still lazy not to add these let's be honest.

overall this cant be higher than a 7 on PS4 given the terrible FPS drops and some frustrating aspects to the gameplay... at present it is unplayable in some sections due to FPS drops, and the only way to progress is either being lucky or changing the difficulty to story mode.

EA has ruined us with BF1 and 2, we're so desperate for a good Star Wars game that we're praising this to no end when in reality it's not amazing. It's unrefined, rough around the edges, very buggy, runs horribly, level design is very weak. Overall it's just.. an okay game. Thats it. Nothing more and nothing less.

The problem with Soulslike combat is that you have to actually balance the enemies properly around it. I have yet to play a game not made by From Software that actually gets it right. Enemies in this game are *horribly* unbalanced for the combat system. Some melee enemies are literally impossible to hit through their massive guard and constant programmed parrying and trying to dodge and weave and hit from different angles doesn't do anything because they just snap in place to block you for some reason. Single or even two enemies at a time are fine, but when they start throwing in more than that and then enemies at range shooting at you with blasters outside your field of view or blowing you up with rocket launchers while the melee enemies constantly stunlock you the game becomes totally unplayable. I had to switch the game to the easiest difficulty and ironically that's when the enemies seem properly balanced. Anything above that and you're going to struggle, and not even because it's that hard, it's because the combat is clunky and unresponsive and they didn't even bother balancing the enemies for it. Later on you'll run into the Dark Souls 2 problem of having like 20 enemies on screen all attacking you simultaneously when the game is built for isolated engagements. It gets a bit better when you get the high end force abilities that allow you to just pick which enemies to immediately take out of the fight, but even then, it's a slog.

This is epitomized in the boss fights, which have got to be some of the absolute worst encounters I've ever seen in any game. They are so unbelievably unbalanced with some of them being unbelievably broken and unreasonably difficult. Many have unblockable attacks that for some reason track you even through rolls so you might as well just take it, the boss basically deciding it's going to take one of your heals away for no reason, and the melee bosses have the same cancer that the normal melee enemies do in that they're impossible to hit and can just super armor through your attacks to stagger you out of combos.

Also, can someone please tell me what the point of having a parry is when it does literally nothing? It doesn't open enemies up for attack since they just immediately block a followup, and it doesn't interrupt their attacks because they can just immediately start attacking afterwards as if you did nothing at all. There's literally no point in parrying in this game, it straight does nothing and you'd be better off holding your guard to avoid screwing up the timing because if you get hit you're immediately launched into stunlock hell.

That being said this is probably the best Star Wars game ever made. The story is your generic Star Wars fare, not being incredibly in depth or anything, but still being entertaining with tons of spectacle, and some parts did get me super hyped. I honestly would recommend people play this game on the easiest difficulty, because it actually makes you feel like a Jedi while at the same time rebalancing enemies to be less total bullsh**, and nothing is stopping you from employing the tactics the game says *should* work but straight up doesn't on the immediate higher difficulty for some reason.

However, to their credit, Respawn just made a game. Like, it's *just* a game. And somehow EA let them just make a *GAME.* And as a game I had a decent time with it, but moreso when I bumped the difficulty down when the game started throwing entire hordes or enemies to stunlock me to death.

Would be an 8/10 if it weren't for the horrible enemy balancing. I'm kind of hoping they release a patch that reworks the enemies or better yet add dedicated sliders to the difficulty options to perfectly optimize how you want the game to be.

    Hello everyone,

Let me start off by saying that I have put multiple hours into this game. I have achieved 100% completion at grandmaster difficulty and I have unlocked every achievement available on this game for the PS4 system.

PSN: MiamiChampagne (In the event you want to verify achievement completion.)

Before I begin my review I would like to thank the story creatives that thought of the storyline and I would also like to thank the artists that created such a beautiful experience for us. I feel that this story has been phenomenal and has far exceeded my expectations especially since it takes place between both episodes 3 and 4.

Unfortunately like every game the player spends most of the time playing and not soaking in the story, and for that this game is getting a 4/10 from me.

    Bugs/Glitches:
The amount of bugs and glitches that I have experienced while playing Star Wars has left me with a very sour taste. There have been times in game where my enemies are levitating in the air and I am unable to reach them, there have been times while exploring my character seemingly falls into the map and continues to fall until he dies. The frame rate and the speed in which this game operates is very upsetting and frustrating. I have experienced over 30 game crashes and close to 40 times which my game freezes for about 15 to 20 seconds mid swing of my light saber and then the game continues to work, this was very upsetting and frustrating. Playing on a grand master difficulty there is no reason why I as a player am able to cheese my way through the entire game. This game has had poor planning in regards to enemy location. While playing I have been able to prevent my enemies from crossing through a threshold/doorway, all I need to do is just strike them and go back through the doorway, rinse and repeat and I win. There's no reason for any game in 2019 should be released like this to the public in this condition. It's not new news that EA has had a very bad reputation in regards to creating any Star Wars affiliated titles. This was EA's last opportunity to redeem themselves and they failed. It pains me to write this because the story and the details on creatures and enemies and just where it fits in the timeline was so well planned that I as a Star Wars fan greatly appreciate it, but the mechanics in the gameplay which I have to experience majority of the time has ruin this experience.

    Game Price:

EA has done it again. Every time that any game releases under this organization they somehow, someway scheme a plan to make the most out of the consumer instead of providing them great content and great quality for the money. I paid $76 for the deluxe edition of the game, what did I get? I received a garbage skin for BD-1 and another garbage skin for the Mantis. It's fine and I understand why the game is worth $60, majority of games that are now released fall within that price range especially when we were speaking about a game that is affiliated with Star Wars. But that does not justify the bundle that we as consumers are receiving from you the game creators and game developers. This game does not feel like $60, it's unfortunate that I am such a Star Wars fan and I fell for this trap. My advice for those reading this is to save your money and wait for it to be released as a free game on PlayStation or rent it out at Redbox or get the game on Game Fly.

    Summary:
If you like Star Wars and are only interested in knowing the story, please look up a compilation video on YouTube of just cut scenes. Don't waste your money on a game in this condition, if you do want to play this game please wait 2 to 3 months so that updates can be worked on because in its current condition you were going to be very upset and unhappy with your decision.

I tried to leave a very detailed review, this is my first review that I've ever done. I hope that someone takes what I said into consideration and help someone making the right decision and I look forward to hearing from anyone's feedback regarding my review.

    Thank you.

The biggest thing going for the game is probably the combat system with the light saber strikes being mostly satisfying although the light saber sounds could do with some more work. I am dying for a game like starwars battle front 2 (2005). A proper starwars rpg set in the fallen order time frame would be ideal, like say cyberpunk 2077 but starwars if you get what i mean, how cool would that be! Anyway i might stick with death stranding for now and play this on the side. Hopefully there will be a full fledged starwars rpg one day because that would be exciting! Very buggy at launch, fell through the world many times and had to restart system a few of the times. Had fun constantly but something about it had me underwhelmed. Maybe it wasn't long enough or enough worthwhile things to search for that had an impact onBeautiful story and beautiful world design. If you get over a slower start without powers, we can assure you, that it will only get better and better. An entertaining mix of Uncharted, Tomb Raider and Dark Souls set in the Star Wars universe. You don’t have to worry; the game is worth its full price. [Issue#300]

As someone with limited time to play games, the shame of Fallen Order stems from multiple frustrations. It’s hard to fight and, worse, it’s hard to move. The game’s timing issues distracted me from both the story and the beautifully constructed worlds; I was too focused on simply staying alive. My many (many, many, many) deaths discouraged me from exploring worlds — all of them beautiful — as did the simple fact that traveling by foot (even a Jedi’s Force-enhanced feet) takes forever.

Respawn has shown us, and EA, that single player games are well enough alive and kicking and has set a bright future for the Star Wars franchise of videogames if they keep this up.
