    I don't have the words to describe how awful and predatory the systems that are in place in this game are. Its pay to win and even though the developers are "removing" the loot boxes and micro transactions, it is completely temporary and is only been removed to protect their early sales and will be added back at a later date when people are not focused on them anymore.     1/10 because of Star Wars.
    9 points removed because of extreme corporate greed from EA and having them think they can rip us off freely. Having to pay to unlock content after paying 60$ is just unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Having to play 40h to unlock one character (so you are forced to buy) is not acceptable after paying 60$.

Я являюсь сторонником классической прокачки такой как в Battlefield 3, а то что нам пытаются навязать уж простите полное ДЕРЬМО.     I really wanted to buy this game beacuse SW is my second love but terrible P2W and boxes change my mind. So i will never buy this product. I will not spend my money on it because of this microtransactions. Devs can be proud of yourselves - they ruined their product.

    Too many games made these days are trying milk gamers for all the cash they have and this game is at the top of that crap pile. The quality of the game falls to the side in favor for mechanics meant to manipulate consumers to part with their money.
    A blatant free to play model in a full price tiered game.
    Gone are the days you buy a game and get a game, now you just get cut up parts of a game.

    I've honestly enjoyed playing this game. It feels like one is in a Star Wars world. The sounds and the general aesthetic is completely spot on. To have to have my thoughts so radically skewed for a game that is so sublime in its creation and visual and gaming appeal has taken a great deal of effort on the part of its creators. The implementation of loot boxes in this game IS gambling. I don't have a problem with gambling. I don't have a problem with loot boxes. I don't even have a problem with "play to win". I can completely ignore these aspects of the game and still have fun. What I have a problem with is telling me it's not gambling when it clearly is. The mechanic is a game of chance that determines game-winning advantages. If that is not gambling, then I don't know what is. If you enjoy gambling, this is the game for you.     The game balance is terrible. It's based on loot boxes. Without them the game is trash, with them is trash as well. What EA needs to do is just rebalance the whole game, redesign the loot boxes to be cosmetic only. Just don't buy for now.

    Very nice graphics and sound. But the campaign is trash and designed without any love. it has its moments, but most of it is just repetitive and boring. The game does not deserve a single point just because of how EA is trying to milk every penny out of the franchise.     I have played it within 10 hours EA Access trial. This is a game designed as Pay-to-Win. Just to discourage such a behaviour in 60$ game - I am giving it an 0 point user score.
    I cannot accept pay-to-win approach in game I have to pay the full price.
    I know that now loot boxes are TEMPORARILY blocked. So I am waiting for permanently removal. Then I am open to change my scoring.

    Things that suck -

    The auto-aiming obs from this being a console port - I clearly fluffed a rl shot and watched the rl turn in mid air and hit a target that wasn't even on my screen when I fired
    More cuts scenes than gameplay
    Really bad gameplay
    The terrible plot I was really looking forward to playing the empire
    We don't get to play the empire we're playing rebels in the wrong uniforms
    Why are we playing Luke 10 mins in oh yeah to convince the empires hard core elite troopers the change sides at the drop of a hat
    You don't get to play as the empire just as future rebels
    The empire blow up one of thier own worlds just to convince us that the lead trooper needs an incentive to change I can't remeber her name its similar to the girl in rogue one tho
    The ship levels are poor
    You don't get to play as the empire just as future rebels
    The ai is poor you can flank the troopers just by crouching even walk in front of some of them and they dont see you
    You can get behind them easily
    The levels are very very linear and you are spoon fed what to do the whole time

    If you love terrible menu UI or staring at loading screens for what seems like a lifetime, before spawning into a match with a couple of seconds on the clock... If you can actually spawn before you loose connection to the ea server... Then this your game! Don't even get me started on the progression model. This is a gorgeous looking game, but jeez. I hope those working at EA realize that they're responsible for ruining games that could be amazing experiences and that could be remembered and played for years.     This game looks great and seems to address these issues, but EA has found a way to kill this game before its release.     Microtransactions are getting out of hand, and this is an example of how it can be pushed further than I expected. Gambling has no place in gaming and I really hope that some rules are put in place to stop this happening again.

    Gamer's need to take a stand with pay-to-play games. I was so psyched for this game, but as the release date got closer I got the details on the paid loot system. I am disappointed and will not pay for a game that encourages paid content in the magnitude that this game does.

Although the developers have recently suspended the pay-to-win aspects of the game, I have a feeling that they've done so just to limit the damage it would have caused to sales during the Christmas season, and will likely re-instate it once they feel like the controversy has receded. I'm giving it a '2' instead of a '0' because I do find some of the game play to be entertaining, but this could have easily been a '10' if EA hadn't spoiled it.

    With this title, EA has reinforced the notion that they are indeed the Comcast of the gaming industry.    … Expand

    I will give a bit more in-depth of a review. I would probably give this game a 6.5/10 were it not for obvious flaws. Gameplay wise it works alright. I find it very casual-player based. Which in and of itself isn't horrible, I just find the leads the matches to be quite short. The lack of being able to choose who's on your squad discourages team-play. Especially when the current mechanicI will give a bit more in-depth of a review. I would probably give this game a 6.5/10 were it not for obvious flaws. Gameplay wise it works alright. The lack of being able to choose who's on your squad discourages team-play. Especially when the current mechanic gives 2x BP (Battle points) for playing with whoever the game pairs you up with. Missed opportunity. I find that gaining battle points themselves needs a bit touching upon. Even when playing the objective I found it rather hard to get those 8k needed for a hero before the imo short match finished.

    Aside from that its a mediocre shooter with the star wars essence painted over.

    I had pre-order the game, but then after finding out about how the loot boxes worked, I canceled straight away, funny things is they are not even removing it, but delaying the implementation, I will not buy any games that has loot boxes. I will continue to boycott star wars games and movies because of this until this policy is changed.

    One word: micro-transactions. EA chose to degrade Battlefront ll with their saturation of microtransactions and opt to create a product void of recreational value. Battlefront's multiplayer seems to lack motivation. Why play Battlefront ii when you could simply pay to reap all the benefits?

    DICE did a pretty good job with the game in overall.

    But what EA does is disgusting. making me pay more money after i buy the game? and hide the heros every one wanna play behind a gambling machine (lloot boxes) 1/10 for at lest being a decent game whit out microtransactions

Every time I tried to flank I went out of bounds, and every phase of the map you'll find yourself only fighting in one or two areas with no alternative routes. As someone who loves being clever and using strategy in my shooters I felt like I was handcuffed while playing it. The game is completely on rails. In DICE's first battlefront I felt like I could actually explore the maps but in Battlefront II you'll be running into walls, closed doors and going out of bounds the entire time as the game funnels your entire team into a single unavoidable choke point. It's frustrating and simply not fun, like playing a MOBA with three lanes and no jungle to go between them. The campaign was also extremely boring.

    Also, forget about playing a hero. I played this game for over 10 hours and never got the hero once. DICE succeeded in making it even more difficult than in the first Battlefront. In Battlefront II players who paid to win earn battle points faster then everyone else, unlock the heroes (who have regenerating health now) and camp with them all game.

    What a complete and utter disaster. This launch's reviews are comparable to the Batman Arkham Knight's PC Port reviews, except not for the same reasons. At least there weren't MICRO-TRANSACTIONS everywhere for the Batman Port!! There's pretty much no way to win, except by paying your hard earned cash on a trashy game with a short campaign and not much else to do.

    The campaign is an addition that should have been in the last Battlefront but Dice announced that gamers dont want a campaign anymore but this was the biggest complaint to Dice after Battlefront was released. It is great it has now been added even if it is not brilliant and a little short.
    Online has been great in regards to adding a lot of new modes but there is not many and some faves from Battlefront are missing. Online though has been ruined by the loot box progression system and greed. In a way we should thank them for this as this will lead to regulations on games after this blatant act of thievery.

    A new progression has since been put in place. This should have been released this way. But its too little too late. There are too few online modes and along with releasing a measly amount of content since launch this game is long dead. Maybe they will make ammends with future dlc but I wouldnt hold my breath.

    Season 2 has rolled out and to the entire communitys dismay it is a Solo season. Now I was not too concerned about Clone Wars content I just wanted CONTENT! Part 1 of season 2 was awful. HVV teams cut in half, laughable new mode, SA is now in arcade, nothing ground breaking here and a new map, Jabbas Palace so no new contnent here either. Skins that cost upto 70,000 credits have been added, yes thats seventy thousand credits which is aimed at getting you to cough up the cash. Instead of being improved BF2 is getting worse and a lot of good content is required to save it.

The Arcade mode is fun but there isn’t much there. Most notedly arcade mode does not have anything for starfighters. This is egregious.     The game is average at best, some bugs, not too much of an evolution from the previous one, and most of the weapons are unbalanced. Like this was not enough they've put a ton of microtransactions, well I am done with those and will not buy any more games until they stop with that.

The graphics in the campaign seemed dumbed down compared to MP. The HDR seemed turned off in the campaign in some places. Maps were way to tiny to enjoy the game at all. I felt the shooting was awkward and never felt comfortable with most guns except maybe a couple. Just way too linear and scripted for me to enjoy. No replayability at all.

    Multiplayer. I paid A$99 for this game yet can’t use heroes of my choice until I unlock them? If I can I’ll try and get a refund. I don’t want to play MP with a character and weapons I don’t like and I think at least heroes should all come unlocked. Fair enough to earn abilities and weapon upgrades but characters are why we buy these games. Iconic characters like Rey and Yoda. Why do I have to play months to unlock them? Doesn’t my A$99 cover this?

    Either give us what we’ve paid for or make the game freemium but what they’ve greedily done is make a full paid game with freemium in app purchases. This is nothing but CHEATING, LYING AND STEALING.

    This is supposed to be a AAA title ONLY with ALL CONTENT INCLUDED but EA have created a AAA FREEMIUM game and they know it. They are pushing the boundaries to see just how far they can go.

    How far the greedy gaming industry can go depends on YOU and just how much YOU stand up for your RIGHTS. For A$99 you are ENTITLED to a FULL GAME with FULL ACCESS to ALL CONTENT.

    One day a group of gamers have to UNITE and file a LAW SUITE against these companies DOUBLE DIPPING to teach them all to back off and give us exactly what we pay for.

    In the meantime DONT BUY any AAA tittles that charge AAA prices yet use FREEMIUM DOUBLE DIPPING MODELS TO UNLOCK CONTENT.     I got refund at the store i bought the game and i will boycott every microtransaction game from now on. And the "Specialized press" are afraid to talk because they boycott who tells the truth about bad pratices.

    Classic EA, take an incredible franchise and stomp it into the ground, how is this publisher still around? Campaign is incredibly boring, while pvp has the potential to be fun but gets mind-numbingly dull with the grind and pay wall that the game requires. No Thanks..

    Good, not great. The game still lacks a ton of single player content, all the good game modes are online so if you don't play online or are too poor to pay for a subscription (like me) it's fun for a short amount of time, the maps are small in SP and the Campaign is as predictable as predicting the next Transformers movie.

    3 Flying. Like last time they don’t seem to have a clue as to what they are doing. This was a huge WTF moment. True, they added the ability to roll this time, but they have 0 idea how flight controls should work.
    4. EA and Dice convinced Disney that they know what they are doing with the property, again.
    5. Solo game is incredibly short. For a game of this price, there should have been more.
    6. Spawning issues like in the first game, where you pop up where the enemy is standing by to kill you.

    Pros:
    1. Finally giving a story mode.
    2. Multiple solo options for the player that wants to be able to play a game for more than 20 seconds after spawning and not get gunned down as enemies are standing right there.
    3. Look and sound great.

    Conclusion:
    In the end, I was a masochist, thinking they would have done a better job this time. They got my money again, but after this I’ll never buy another EA/Dice game. The companies focus on providing sub standard games at premium prices and screw the customer over.

    If you haven’t bought it, DON’T. I suggest staying away, and warn you friends of the same. I wasted my money, learn from my mistake and don’t waste yours.    … Expand

    Basically its an Online Casino pretending to be an multiplayer shooter game. Its RNG on RNG on RNG for spending real money in exchange for a chance to pwn every living being at this match. If you enjoy this game mechanic - you're masochist.

    A real shame of a game. The battlegrounds are beautiful, and you can see the care that has gone into recreating the Star Wars universe. Unfortunately, the gameplay is pretty weak and this is exacerbated by massive imbalance between those with purple 'epic' cards and those just starting out. If you were hoping to run around as Vader or Yoda it is pretty unlikely you will be doing this inA real shame of a game. The battlegrounds are beautiful, and you can see the care that has gone into recreating the Star Wars universe. Unfortunately, the gameplay is pretty weak and this is exacerbated by massive imbalance between those with purple 'epic' cards and those just starting out. If you were hoping to run around as Vader or Yoda it is pretty unlikely you will be doing this in the main multiplayer mode unless you are prepared to put in the work to level you characters to a point where you can earn enough battle points to put one on the field. If you do manage to, they will still be fairly weak as you won't have the necessary star cards to power them up properly. Just don't waste your time, EA dropped the ball. Since it's such a grind fest I wouldn't even pick it up for $10 in a sale as you need to put in 30-40 hours before the game begins to be fun. Pass it over and let's hope something better comes out in early 2018.… Expand

It is simply an 8-hour senseless shooter campaign that entices you with some pretty visuals while forcing you to accept the SJW nature that lies under the veil.

    To say this game is pretentious would be an understatement. EA has armed themselves well with smoke and mirrors to misdirect people's attention from the game's glaring issues. The multiplayer may very well be the greatest failure I have ever seen in a video game. Decades of pride and honor that Lucas Film and Disney have spent building and shaping a universe for us to get lost in and what happens when we finally get to have an interactive experience that we can share with our friends in Battlefront II? Nothing. Nothing happens.

    The game does not allow you to play your favourite heroes classes like you would be expect. For a game you've already paid money for, EA expect you to pay more. They take advantage of people's love for a series by slapping everything they want behind a paywall. The entire progression system is based around randomized loot boxes that can be bought with real money or earned in-game through HOURS of gameplay just for one. Almost everything you love about Star Wars is in these loot boxes and can't be played with when you first launch the game. The hero classes, which include series icons such as Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca all require nearly 40 hours of play time for a single one.

    I honestly can't believe how bad the practices within this industry have gotten. I want to remind everyone that the best way to combat scum like EA is to vote with your wallets. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.    … Expand

    Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
