    While I could give a 7/10 for single player (without SW skin It would be 4/10 top), the multiplayer is awful:
    1) servers stability;
    2) unbalanced gameplay; 3) F***g stupid respawns system (who the F***k thought it's a great idea to let people play with friends and then put them into random squads); 4) playing as a pilot in Galactic Assault gives you hell of a lot points and it has    While I could give a 7/10 for single player (without SW skin It would be 4/10 top), the multiplayer is awful:

    5) lootboxes - game rewards you with special boxes for (for example) playing 150 minutes as an officer and when you open it, turns out you get some useless gray sh*t;
    6) the only mode worth playing to me is Starfighter Assault.
    7) game modes - wtf... no modes like capture the flag or objective orientated ones (i know there are objectives, but come on it's always defend or attack sth)
    8) Maps shuffling - 8/10 times I start Galactic Assault it puts I'm in beta Naboo map. For ~30 games i was on Hoth once!
    9) Arcade mode split-screen only... another huge step back. What is that? 1990?

    I know these are problems that can be resolved later on, but come on devs, play the damn thing before you release it.    … Expand

    I realy liked beta. New gameplay its great, but giving you 70€ for nothing? I dont want to play just this game to advance. I think its better if would be seasson pass for 50€ than paying for loot boxes. No buying!

    This is a Loot Box Simulator. Pure **** Boring game. EA is the worst company ever. Only for money. Pay to win. You pay more than 70€ and you dont have the complete game. Everything is locked and you have to play during hours to GET A **** CRATE!, And craft using coins only found in crates. Etc. Pure crap.

    I really wanted to enjoy this game but I cant knowing how unfair the online multiplayer is set up. This game is totally set up to be pay to win and this is just a way for EA to milk gamers more. Please no one buy this game and tell your friends to not buy this either.

    EA is trash. They continue to produce AAA titles with maximum marketing effort and then absolutely **** the bed with implementation always involving micro transactions and increasing levels of Pay to Win as time goes on. I really hope that this game might be the thing to wake folks up and to finally start voting with their wallets.

    Buried underneath a purely greed driven progression and loot system is a great game. It's sad to see a game like this, offering an unparalleled Star Wars experience, overshadowed by the worst microtransaction scheme I have ever seen. Not even FREE to play mobile games are this bad.     while the graphics are amazing, the multiplayer is ruined by the fact that it is pay to win. EA has stated that you do not gain a noticeable advantage when opening loot crates with real money. This is far from the truth, multiple star cards affect attributes similar to "aim assist." These advantages should not be in a AAA title.

    EA has ruined the Star Wars genre. My 11 year old son wanted the game but I refuse to buy a game with micro-transactions. The game is already $60, why try to squeeze more money out of us? I should not have to spend extra money on a game for my son to remain competitive.

    Never again will I buy another EA title. Cancelled my EA subscription last night as well. I am done with EA and    EA has ruined the Star Wars genre.     I give this a firm hell no out of ten. This is probably the only game that warrants a review without even buying it. Sorry not sorry temporarily turning off the microtrans now does not fix the fact that your progression is hindered by it and you are just going to turn them back on anyway so peace the heck out on this game.

    The gameplay and graphics are pretty good and the plus of a single player campaign was preety nice, but i can not accept a game that makes me pay $60 to have microtransactions that meddles with the online gameplay if it was just cosmetics than it would less infuriating but unfortunely EA wants to push this loot boxes down our troats.

    I was really looking forward to buying this game, but I felt sick after the release and the state of the game. A short campaign and pay-to-win system for 60€ is just too much. Thanks for helping me decide if I should get Origin Access, guess what my choice was.

    DICE did a pretty good job with the game in overall.

    But what EA does continuously, it's unforgivable! Don't buy their games!
    My rating goes for EA. Maybe 1/10 is way too generous towards them.

    And yes, they changed a few things because the community forced them to, but don't stop there! We can unite to destroy this current cancerous AAA gaming industry.

It still didn't matter because other people had purchased even more lootboxes besides the free ones and on my very first match I was obliterated with no chance of fighting back and there was a Luke Skywalker roaming when he still costed 60.000 credits.

    On my second match, the situation reversed: players had no cards and I was almost impossible to beat. 1 v 1 or 2 v 1 I always dominated. That is when I drew the line about the unfairness: refunded my copy and said goodbye to this trash forever.

    If You have 60 dollars then just buy battlefront 2 (2005) on PC its only 10 dollars and online is back on there and you can use the other 50 on la noire on switch or some other star wars games on steam

    Campaign

    -Writing

    Campaign was a boring lazily written mess that tries to tie the loose knot that’s is the post Return of the Jedi era to the new The Force Awakens era I expected a lot perhaps too much out of the story since it’s writer was the same writer behind the brilliant “Spec Ops: The Line” but writing wise this game is a huge disappointment.

    -Protagonist

    This game tried to implement a new character into the Star Wars timeline by the name of Iden Versio and it FAILED. The inferno squad as a whole is a great addition to the Star Wars timeline but Iden Versio just feels boring. I’m sorry, but the beats you expect her to hit...she hits and it feels like the writing team didn’t spend much time on making her a great character. Disappointed that they sucked the life out of what could’ve been an awesome female role. I don’t blame the actress I blame what she had to work with.

    -Story

    You know recently I replayed Star Wars the force unleashed 2 and I actually had more fun on there than I did with this story. Guys lighten up a bit have fun with the universe a little. So yes Story is once again B O R I N G. I feel that if more time was spent on this campaign it would’ve been better but the short campaign was a disappointment in fact the only short campaign of recent years that I loved was Titanfall 2’s campaign.

    Graphics

    Duh, you know they’re good.

    Gameplay

    Gameplay needs a bit of tweaking because although it has improvements that make it slightly different from Battlefront (2015) (that’s a good thing) it still feels a bit amateurish and lacking in depth. I hope this can be rectified with future updates or in later sequels.

    Multiplayer

    -LOOTBOXES (Stay away from the game until they fix this)

    Ah yes the backbone of this game the reason the majority of players are buying this game. Well it’s disappointing, see I feel like leveling up is a hell of a grind that kind of forces you to buy lootboxes , once again you don’t have to, but leveling up feels somewhat slow so I understand the public’s concern with this game especially in the lootbox department. It’s a thing that no matter how much it’s tweaked it’s built into the pillar of this game, it’s tied directly into the leveling up system. I feel like if they removed any and all star cards from the crates and purely input cosmetic items in there all would be good and dandy but considering how closely it’s tied into the leveling up system it’s going to be a problem until they remove cards, weapons, and anything that will grant the player with advantages from crates.

    -Modes

    Modes are lacking but they’re decent, they’re all basic copies of modes you’ve seen before in games like Battlefield or Call of Duty, the great exception to this is hero vs villains which is great in my opinion.

    -Maps

    Maps are well made from what I can tell but the community has its concerns with a few maps that feel unbalanced in gameplay and I’ll leave that up to the developers to fix.

    Overall

    Overall Battlefront 2 has a monotonous story mode campaign that contains one of the most boring people in the Star Wars galaxy and I wish her drone was the main character instead of her, it looks good and certain sections of it are fun especially the Kylo section. I’d rate campaign a 2/10 such a huge disappointment from what I anticipated to be one of the most well written campaigns in such a long time. Multiplayer has a lack of modes and maps (which will soon get fixed with its free dlc) two stand out modes being “Starfighter Assault” and “Heroes Vs Villains” and the other modes are completely boring. Gunplay feels amateurish. Lootboxes are a problem. Overall for multiplayer I have to rate it a 4/10 I expect better work from Dice considering their fantastic work on the battlefield series.    … Expand

    Unbelievable. I knew this game would have a negative response over the lootboxes, but I never thought thousands of people would give this game a 0 or 1 out of 10. I will play it, just to see what it’s like, despite the lootboxes
    However, I still hate EA. Closing down Visceral and mucking up with games like this one and FIFA.

    Вывод один - наказание рублем, это единственное что спасет нас от дальнейшей, абсолютно мошеннической дойки в последующих играх от ВСЕХ издателей, если Батлфронт хорошо продастся.

The MP aspect could have been fun. the foundation was laid out for this to be a fun game. But EA decided that they wanted billions of dollars so they added this terrible system for star cards. You know whats just great, I get to see every time I die how good of star cards the other person has. I will go into a fight where I clearly should have won but nope they bought the ultimate edition so I lost because of a dumb epic star card. And by the way why are people buying the ultimate edition, why are people even buying these games at all. When I hit confirm purchase I felt like I was commiting a crime. It felt like I was doing something evil by giving money to the mess that is EA. I would advise no one, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE to ever buy this game.     This game has a basic campaign, a pay to win multiplayer, a crappy and greedy company behind, and so many whales wanting to try this glorified casino. Value productions are sky high just like similar games you can play on those proprietary Konami pachinko. 10/10, kids love gambling.

Most people just throw themselves at the point hoping for the best and flooding back with respawns until the defense breaks. Almost everything revolves around that you and you alone are what's important in each battle, as opposed to promoting teamwork and squad play. There also appears to be very little anti-cheat, as I saw very blatant aimbots consistently. It's also has some bad gameplay decisions, such as the game resetting your chosen class every time you respawn, so you have to go out of your way to pick your class again or you spawn in as assault. I'd give it a 5 overall for gameplay. However, a few points lost over the requirement to continue to pay money just to progress (it's considered a requirement if you cannot earn those same rewards ingame WITHIN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. Throwing in something that takes an unrealistic and nearly unobtainable...if not obtainable at all, amount of hours to unlock just so you can claim you don't "have" to pay...still means you have to pay...don't play the "well TECHNICALLY..." game, devs We live in the real world).

    Overall, the art is great. The special unit spawn is much better in BF2 than in BF1 (no longer based on pickups). The gameplay is very bland and uninspiring. There is little to no teamwork involved...and even if you want to work as a team, you're assigned to a new squad every respawn, so there's no consistency. I've literally been in matches where your objective is to run from point a to point b with an item. With the maps how small they are, you only have to run a very small distance, and the match is over within 2 to 3 minutes. Battlefront 2 often has you asking yourself, "What was the point in that?"

    I gave it a 1 due to the graphics being good, otherwise I would've looked for the minus 3 rating. The game is completely ruined by greed. I want to have fun and take part in what the game has to offer, but everything feels as if it's locked away behind payments. It all feels incomplete, rushed, and mediocre.

That being said though... once you get a few decent star cards and are around level 12+ this game becomes genuinely quite good.     P2W aspects might still fully be in the game after they re-enable "the ability to purchase crystals in-game at a later date". People should NOT go out and buy the game just because of this statement by EA. A wait and see approach to the statement made is the best course of action at this time.

Well what is really dragging down this otherwise very good game is the progression and loot crate system(no explanation needed, everyone knows about this) and the obviously unfinishedGameplay-wise this is a good and round package, the graphics are very good and the sound(expect some weird choices blaster-wise e.g. Leia's blaster sounds like a Tie-Fighter) is also on a very high level. Well what is really dragging down this otherwise very good game is the progression and loot crate system(no explanation needed, everyone knows about this) and the obviously unfinished Status of the game. Many things like offline capabilities(especially the very content lacking Arcade) and serious bugs, as well as a genereal lack of content(e.g. game modes, heroes, weapons and maps) and the short, open ended campaign really drag this score down. The grind is ridiculous and unless you are willing to part with lots more cash it'll take a punishing amount of time to unlock said characters.
    EA are shameless in they're feel the need to squeeze every drop of money out of their ever dwindling fan base. I for one have completely lost any appetite for their releases and returned my copy, getting a refund. its sad, what could of been one of their very few crowning glories falls flat by needless profiteering. I hope you are all happy with alienating gamer's with what could of been a world class game.

    The core mechanics of the game are decent at best and do not justify any of the garbage that EA has implemented in the game. Besides that the servers are trash so even if you were willing to look past Battle Fronts errors you wouldn't be able to fully enjoy the multiplayer experience as it would most likely be too laggy.

    An absolute travesty of loot box ridden p2w cr@p.

    A FULL PRICED game with a f2p gambling upgrade system slapped into it, literally gaming cancer that should be avoided at all costs.

    The corrupt "critic" reviewers should hang their heads in shame over giving this pos anything higher than a 3, they are letting the public down by not acknowledging what BS this is.

    Maybe spend some money next time on - - the 3rd person character animations - boy it looks awkward having luke sprinting around with a lightsaber, Han pointing a blaster constantly at everything with his never-tiring-hand - Co-op splitscreen, in every mode, on every device (yes, PC) - Consistently good writing & voice acting for campaign - earning back    Contempt reciprocated, EA.

    Maybe spend some money next time on -

    - the 3rd person character animations - boy it looks awkward having luke sprinting around with a lightsaber, Han pointing a blaster constantly at everything with his never-tiring-hand
    - Co-op splitscreen, in every mode, on every device (yes, PC)

    Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
