    "The brutal From Software difficulty is starting to wear thin.", I read this sentence on a critical site about this game. Personally I don't agree, Sekiro's difficulty compared to other games in the Soulborne franchise is definitely higher.
    From a mechanically more complete challenge, to scenarios that enable more than other games, in Sekiro scenario is not only figurative, it can be used    "The brutal From Software difficulty is starting to wear thin.", I read this sentence on a critical site about this game.     From a mechanically more complete challenge, to scenarios that enable more than other games, in Sekiro scenario is not only figurative, it can be used in most combats throughout the game. It all depends on the skill of the player and how he sees his possibilities.
    I liked so much the graphics, the story that is made possible for us and the game's unfolding in general, but there are few aspects in the unfolding that were too quick, like the "Shura" ending. The environment and scenarios are well developed, giving up to 1 a certain immersion in the game.
    Briefly, I recommend this game to anyone who is looking for 1 good challenge, 1 good graphic art, or who simply likes Feudal Japan.    … Expand

    Sekiro makes me sad but very happy when i kill that stupid demon of hatred I never thought i could hate something so much but its a fun game and i would play again but will uninstall because of isshin.

    And there was nothing that we could do about it. Wolf was a made man, and Isshin, The Sword Saint wasn’t. And we had to sit still and take it. It was among the Shurans. It was real greaseball .

    I usually never rate games a 10 but this game deserves it.

    I was literally spellbound throughout my journey and I didn’t want it to end. I have only felt like this for a few games like BotW. Initially yes it did suck before I got the whole parry mechanic, but once it clicked nothing gave me much trouble as in the beginning. The locales and bosses are amazing I am a huge sword fight fan,    I usually never rate games a 10 but this game deserves it.

    The locales and bosses are amazing I am a huge sword fight fan, and this game let me live my fantasy of sword fight to the death.

    The music works ok for the game even though it’s not my favorite type of music.

    There are no builds and no traditional leveling. Skills don’t do much as such the game is very balanced. It’s you, your sword and skills.

    The game honestly doesn’t require super ridiculous quick reflexes like most claim, but it does require observation. Noticing enemy animation and knowing that one thing the enemy does comes before something else.

    The only bad negative that I can give is that the camera doesn’t play nice particularly when you are in an arena that has obstructions like poles and doors. Often times you will end up in one of these places and the camera goes berserk and you trying to find the boss, because anytime you cannot view the boss your lock on targeting turns off. Sometimes I ended up between a door and the boss with no way to see what the hell was going on and difficulty in escaping this situation. Thankfully this doesn’t happen too often, but it is rather irritating. You will die a lot in your journey but this journey will be worth it.    … Expand

    Боевка. Несмотря на то что ты всю игры бьёшься с одной катаной, делать это супер приятно, если преодолеть себя и научится парировать, то можно получить невероятный экспириенс от этой игры, также тут    10/10.     Боссы. В этой игре боссы по настоящему не простые, я как человек который до секиро прошёл дс3 и 3 раза бб, тратил на изучение большинства минимум 3-5 попыток, один из здешних боссов вообще дался мне самым трудным(~25~ попыток). Боссы в секиро 10/10
    Одна из лучших слэшер рпг в которую я играл, с супер крутыми боссами, и наверное одна из если не самая сложная и любимая игра в которую я играл. 10/10    … Expand

    Sekiro is such an amazing game and it is definitely one of my favorites of all time. The combat is sooo fun and gameplay is smooth. Great graphics with a killer soundtrack and an interesting story. It is extremely difficult but is in no way unfair there are plenty of different ways to kill enemies and different skills to use against certain enemies. The world design is beautiful and a andSekiro is such an amazing game and it is definitely one of my favorites of all time. The combat is sooo fun and gameplay is smooth. Haven't you wanted, after beating a souls fight against the bosses again Astorias, Ornsteinn & Smough, Sir Alonne, GAEL??? In Sekiro you can (+ you unlock character skins that are sick af and new abilities). The only badHOW SEKIRO HAS AN 8.5. Personally, this is THE best FS game ever released.     Beautiful game with incredible characters and bosses. You can really feel yourself getting better at the game as you play it. Combat is very smooth. So creative.

    Im a huge From fan but I have to admit putting this game down twice and almost writing it off forever. I can't explain why but on my third attempt everything seemed to click in a way it hadn't before and instead of another rage quit I got to enjoy another From Masterpiece. When youre fighting massive Bosses in the Souls series, at times it can feel very iffy when trying to roll your wayIm a huge From fan but I have to admit putting this game down twice and almost writing it off forever. I can't explain why but on my third attempt everything seemed to click in a way it hadn't before and instead of another rage quit I got to enjoy another From Masterpiece. When youre fighting massive Bosses in the Souls series, at times it can feel very iffy when trying to roll your way out of eating a 20 foot long sword with a 100 foot long swath area. Not so with Sekiro. The game can definitely be Brutal at times but there was never a moment where I died and blamed it on the game. The combat is so clean and precise that it leaves no doubt that every failure is user error. It's clear what you did wrong and you know what you need to work on. Hang in there. And if you do quit, keep it lying around where you can see it. Let it taunt you until you give it another go. It's too good to give up on entirely.… Expand

    It’s a game for the gamers! It demands loyalty and devotion. If you complete it, it will give you an enormous reward. If you can’t complete it, you shouldn’t even start it. Miyazaki brought us another perfection at the level designing, a superior lore and a delightful gameplay. But Miyazaki’s achievement isn’t that he gave as a masterpiece.     The gameplay is my favourite GamePlay of all game in all times. An action RPG that is also a perfect and original rhythm game. The esthetic of this game is unrivaled, the lore and the environment is interesting and beautiful, the game is a great challenge especially for souls player. There are a lot of things to do and explore. There will be not many games like this in history.

    Sekiro was a game that really challenge my patience and skills in years, the learn curve are huge and gratificated, the game are incrediblypretty, the combat is perfect and the history tottaly deep.
    If you are fan of souls games and want some challenge, Sekiro is for you.

    Best game ever, definitely my number 1 game of all time.

    Tried Dark Souls and Bloodborne but just can't feel the excitement that all people have but Sekiro is different. The major factor might be the stamina bar which not exist in Sekiro so no more stamina management which affects the pacing of the gameplay, not a grinding game so I need to completely learn all the enemy pattern and    Best game ever, definitely my number 1 game of all time.

    The major factor might be the stamina bar which not exist in Sekiro so no more stamina management which affects the pacing of the gameplay, not a grinding game so I need to completely learn all the enemy pattern and experiment with all the prosthetic tools. The last is a satisfying parry mechanic which is the charm of this game.

    Story are also wonderful which you unlock and explore about it by yourself instead of the game leads you to the storyline. So, your decision and action will one way or another affect the story.

    Gameplay is no doubt the best game I've ever played as I've defeated this game 6 times now. Repetition is quite high to get all the story endings and of course to show how much you've improved throughout your gameplay.

    In conclusion, Sekiro completely change my mind of gaming nowadays in every aspects. Thank you FromSoft for the incredible journey you've created within this game.

    I know they are making another masterpiece right now which is Elden Ring but I do hope they didn't stop here with Sekiro type of game as I completely loving it.

    I love this game. The combat in this game is the most thrilling, invigorating, and engaging combat systems I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. It doesn't feel like a fight but rather a duel with enemies.
    The bosses are well-designed, high-octane, and brutal - which is what I expect out of Fromsoftware - but they really outdid themselves in this game. Highly recommend.

    One of the best from software games with bloodborne. Sekiro is a little much difficult of other from software game bacause you only can farm your skill, not your stats. They crêate a new mechanic with block. The world is really well designed and the possibility to use grappe fit really well with the world and the sensation of liberty. Its a must have

    Masterfully crafted world of ancient, mythological Japan. Brilliant fighting system and mechanics. Extremely satisfying game. Music is genius and very atmospheric. This isn't just a game, it's a work of high art.

    Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has a good story, great cast of characters, solid level and art design, a not so good performance on last gen consoles (30 fps with drops) and the best gameplay in the history of videogames. The combat of this game alone makes it a masterpiece.

    OK - It's a departure from the usual by Miyazaki- I get some people's disappointment. I love this game, and it's certainly not perfect, nor is it perhaps as replayable as the Souls games, but I understood from the start that It's an action game, not really an action RPG. Also, concerning one of its most talked about features: maybe I have just improved at this type of game in recent years,OK - It's a departure from the usual by Miyazaki- I get some people's disappointment. I love this game, and it's certainly not perfect, nor is it perhaps as replayable as the Souls games, but I understood from the start that It's an action game, not really an action RPG. Also, concerning one of its most talked about features: maybe I have just improved at this type of game in recent years, but I feel like there is a bit too much exaggeration about the game difficulty- it seems like some people were not adapting to the fight style available, and that might have added to the challenge and frustration.

    You have the one weapon, a few handfuls of skills, items, and tools, and that's it. It's the same familiar experience from From (see what I did there?) of getting better and surmounting the seemingly impossible, just with only one specific character build and fighting style. I liked the focus on deflect and posture as it allows two ways to defeat enemies, draining their life bar or filling their posture damage bar. If you don't like to deflect, then maybe you will not enjoy this game as much as I did, but it's an oversimplification to say that the game is only about deflecting as that strategy will not really work on some bosses (anyway, there is the usual cheese available for a lot of them). I also generally liked the addition of the stealth mechanics and also grappling hook and more vertical design of many levels. And the world of the game is very beautiful and well designed.

    Overall, I prefer the non-Souls From Soft games like this and Bloodborne and I didn't try this wanting to play Dark Souls in Sengoku Japan. Sekiro is its own type of game, and gave me mostly great fights and a decent challenge. Like any From Soft game, I feel there are some lower tier boss battles, so there were a couple of true peak and valley moments where a great and fun boss was followed soon after by a mini boss or boss that was head scratching or made obnoxious by an unreliable camera in closed quarters. Bloodborne is still the king of the From games for me, but this game often came close to taking that crown.    … Expand

    One of the best action ever made...excellent level design, near perfect combat design easy to learn but with a lot to offer and master.
    The simple story but with extremely charismatic characters without having to be suffocating with cutscenes or a flood of dialogues (as often happens in many modern games), incredible boss fights among the best that can be found in a video game.

Personally for me, I found the game way harder than any other soul. I did the regular ending once and got to owl ( purification ending ) in new game +. The only reason why I rate it 8/10 is .. some boss were really disappointing and how hard it is to understand all the mechanics at the beginning .… Expand

    A very underrated Fromsoftware game. It’s only flaws are no online play and barely any customization/upgrades. Other than that it’s an amazing breath of fresh air.

    Sekiro might easily be one of the best game from Fromsoftware and the combat is so simple yet complex and the story which is understandable unlike other games and the bosses design are amazing, highly recommend you try it if you have the patience.

    One of my favourite games of all time, fromsoft takes the dark souls formula and turns into a badass anime fight style that is extremely rewarding when getting used to, in my opinion this game has not only an Interesting story and amazing levels including some of the most epic boss fights I have ever experienced, it also has possibly one of the best combats in videogame history.

    10/10 This game is amazing. best from soft game ever and I've played them all. Its a MUST PLAY. some of the hardest and most satisfying boss battles ever. The entire game is so rewarding and fun. The combat is the best from soft has ever done and the graphics and frame rate on ps5 are flawless

    Firstly it's not a souls game. It removes character customization, class building, completely uproots and changes the combat, and still delivers something amazing. If you expected anything I listed I still think you should try this game out, just try to enter it with a different mindset of expecting another Soulslike.

    Despite not being Dark Souls, it still has that Fromsoftware challenge and difficulty. There were bosses i'd try fighting for hours before I finally beat them, but that entire time I never felt like it was unfair or unbalanced, I just felt like I needed to get better, and once you do the feeling of conquering a boss is unparallel.

    The combat system is also newly made, favoring to have you constantly in the fray parrying and counter attacking as opposed to rolling through attacks. It feels much more engaging and enjoyable, especially when you get the system down. it turns into an epic duel between two equally matched swordsman.

    The story is magnificent to. I think not having character customization helps, as it lets Fromsoftware truly make a story thats driven by the characters including your own. The tragic nature of Fromsoftwares stories really blooms here, as its less depressing on a grand scale but still invokes the sense of never being able to get the truly perfect ending. I'll go more into detail at the end to avoid any accidental click ons by people who haven't played this game yet.

    The setting and graphics are absolutely stunning. Every new area felt unique, and there were some areas that when I first entered I honestly was awestruck with how spectacular the game felt. If I could buy a plane ticket to go to Sekiro's Ashina, I would.

    About to dive into story again, so turn away if you haven't played or care about spoilers.

    Ok are you gone?

    The story is by far my favorite. Its less depressing on the grand scale cause the entire world hasn't shattered. You're in the lands of a Clan on its last breathe, and the motives between characters aren't fully evil. Genichiro only wants to protect his homeland and is willing to do anything to save it, Wolf wants to protect Kuro and serve him as his Shinobi, and Kuro wants to end the corruption of his divine blood. Everyone has different motives that collide, not out of a seat of evil but out of a sense of duty or twisted good-nature. Even when Ashina falls theres still a world that's alive and breathing outside, it isn't as permeant as snuffing out the flame in Dark Souls, or seeing the absolute ruined state of the world of Bloodborne. What i'm trying to say is the game feels much more alive and human, which I think helps the Fromsoft Tragedy even more.

    Amazing game for the most part. Only a few bosses were reused and all of them were minor ones. Amazing sword play. Only thing that felt grindy and wore out the experience a bit was the final push for the platinum with the farm to unlock every skill.

    Sekiro is a flawed masterpiece. This game has the most consistent boss lineup of any game. Incredible locations and excellent combat that is challenging and hard to master. The replayability of the game is a flaw as there is no build variety. Enemies are too frequent in many locations making combat not fun.

    Initially, I tried to play this game with my usual approach: keep dodging, have patience, mind your position, and look for an opening to punish your adversary… And doing this just brought me pain, anger and frustration… I kept dying and dying and dying. I did not understand what was happening!

    Sekiro took me out of my comfort zone, and forced me to change the way I usually approach games like this… I had to be aggressive, set the tempo of the fight, and properly learn and rely on new or rarely used mechanics… And it was a wonderful experience.

    It is funny how as soon as you embrace Sekiro’s combat system, everything clicks. You really feel like a ninja, dominating parries, mikiri counters, and jumps, while also throwing yourself right in the face of bosses and dominating them… At some point you feel that is the boss the one that should be worried because you are unstoppable!

    Less flexibility is the price to pay to have such a refined combat experience. Thank you From Software for pushing the genre and bringing such unique experiences for us to enjoy.

    Have patience, learn the mechanics, and be aggressive… And you will have a wonderful time with Sekiro.    … Expand

The customized build variety has been traded for a more focused and simply put much better combat system. This is a game that knows what it wants to accomplish and does so very well. I do have a few minor very subjective complaints though. The world feels less very inspired but still a bit less creative and surprising than previous world entries. But this is because it is more reality based and that’s okay, just personal preference. The pop up tutorial systems are a steep downgrade from previous game tutorials. I will also say that the amount of repeat minibosses are tedious. And that the ability to absorb coins and items although conviniant is very immersion breaking. Also the GODAMM MONKEY DUO FIGHT IS THE WORST IN THE ENTIRE SERIES. I don’t ever wanna hear anymore complaints about “Oh the ds2 duo bosses are the worst” because goddam this is the worst duo fight ever it does not work and abandons everything this game was built around. 1v1, this was also abit true for games like ds1 but since the combat system was less focused and somewhat less built around 1v1 you could make it justifiable to create 2v1 fights. Not in sekiro though. Still I am very happy to see fromsoft get out of their comfort zone and try something new. Heavily recommended… Expand

A substantial issue I have however is that there are a decent amount of repeat fights here. almost half the bosses and mini-bosses one fights are repeats with some alterations. Now, while the alterations often do change enough to make the second fights compelling, it still feels odd that in a game this polished there also exists a stunning lack of diversity. But, the high points of this game heavily outweigh the negatives and overall one likely wont be too concerned with the lack of diversity of fights while playing due to the fluid and great feeling gameplay that surrounds it.… Expand

But when it clicks you start to feel urself like a superhuman after beating every ultrahard boss’s as*s. None fromsoft game can give you this feeling. Perfect balance, absolute masterpiece!     This game has the best combat system in any games i'v played so far. even the regular enemies feel like "they know how to fight" rather than enemies with some casual attack preset, so you can't just blindly hit and run. The story and the characters are also well written and scripted. honestly speaking, I can't really find any cons, so it's a10/10 for me.

The combat system is flawless, very very satisfying, the absence of stamina is a great idea, because it helps you to keep your head fully focused on your enemy, and less focused on yourself. The removal of level-upgrading is the thingI mean, what can I say... Arguably the greatest FromSoftware game ever made, and one of the greatest, if not THE greatest game ever released in the history. The combat system is flawless, very very satisfying, the absence of stamina is a great idea, because it helps you to keep your head fully focused on your enemy, and less focused on yourself. The removal of level-upgrading is the thing that makes this game drive away from the Souls saga, and I personally LOVE IT. Now it's not your character that is getting better, but YOU are actually getting better! The movement system is great and it fits perfectly with the game, because your character can be moved in a very quick manner, and the agility is one of the most important skills that a Shinobi has to have. Also the possibility to resurrect is a fantastic feature in my opinion. And finally, the last boss is probably the best boss I ever fought against. I'm not giving it a 10, because there are still some annoying bosses, some bosses that you need to buff yourself to be able to have a chance to beat, and 1 thing that FromSoftware needs to understand, and I'm not talking only about sekiro, but every souls game: When I am healing, I must be untouchable just for those 2 seconds !!! Bosses often wait for you to heal to attack, because your character is busy doing that animation and they can hit, and you obviously can't do anything to avoid it (and if I'm healing, I do it to gain some hp, not to loose even more… Expand

Stemming from simplicity but giving a wide variety of different combat options, few games come close to matching the exhilarating rush that Sekiro’s best moments provide. Exploring its atmospherically engrossing levels is a treat, from a visual, musical, and atmospheric standpoint. Even if exploration and character storylines are sometimes hampered by Dragonrot, repeatedly severing the immortality of bosses with brutal “Shinobi Executions” and discovering the ritual secrets of eternal life offers a captivating experience that stands out as one of FromSoftware’s best and most distinctive titles.

It's not really a Dark Souls with samurais game, but whether or not you enjoyed the difficulty level of the battles in Dark Souls will be a good benchmark in gauging how much you'll like Sekiro. If you're persistent, up for a challenge, and don't become frustrated easily, then Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is an easy game to recommend.

    Though Sekiro feels impossibly hard at times, the level of euphoria you experience when delivering a death blow to a tricky boss or when you finally clear a castle grounds of all enemies is almost unparalleled.
