    Got the platinum trophy for this one. The game becomes a lot easier in subsequent play-throughs and acquiring all skills required too much mindless grinding. Super fun to play if not as memorable as Bloodborne or Dark Souls III.

    Incredible theme style, incredible and one of a kind combat mechanism, which you get much better and games becomes much easier when you learn it or kind of practice it.
    Not like other games, where you just spam the hit button and dodge button and the animation does allkind od things.

    Sekiro is one of the most unique games in the Souls series. There are stealth sections and a grappling hook and a lot of other tools. The parry system is unlike any other combat in the series. My first time through this game I had a tough time. No like really tough. I even said that this game was the hardest in the series. After my second playthrough though, I had a change of heart.     Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is From Software's most polished and refined project to date. From Software's staple difficulty level is here, with the game mixing an exhilarating combat system, albeit a sometimes unfair and rough around the edges one, with beautifully crafted areas, with the end result being a memorable experience teeming with adrenaline spikes.

    The game is real masterpiece! Everything in the game is at the best quality.

    The music, graphic, combat style, boss fight design, story, everything is perfect. The only problems in the game are some camera issues during boss fights and some framedrops that I experienced on PS4 Slim with 1.04 update. They could make the game more optimized but I'm not gonna reduce the score for these. It    The game is real masterpiece! Everything in the game is at the best quality.

    Ambientacion brutal, accion sin descanso, una historia que te engancha y dificil, muy dificil, pero a la vez muy muy satisfactorio. Hay que sudar sangre para terminarlo, pero la sensación de superación que te otorga este juego, no te la va a dar ningun otro.

Не вижу проблемы в том что у Секиро всего один меч, это с лихвой компенсируется огромным количеством оружия в противников, каждый из которых имет свою тактикуИгра отличная, в ней прекрасно все, кроме одной вещи и это естественно камера( кароче как всегда) Сюжет отличный, прошел 4 раза на все концовки.     Sekiro is amazing. It is, by far, my favorite game. And I’m not biased, this is my first time ever playing a FromSoftware game, and it is amazing. I think there are a few main complaints about this game. 1. It’s too hard. The answer is that it’s not supposed to be. It’s not made for good players, it’s made for persistent players, which I love.     Although I still think either Dark Souls 3 or Bloodborne is the best FROMSOFTWARE game so far, Sekiro is still an awesome, solid game and in my opinion, the game has the most satisfying combat system as they got rid of stamina and wanted players to go all out, but the game is still a challenging experience.     My first ever souls game. Intense feeling. Lots of fun. Best game. Some people don't like they can't have very different approach of style like in Dark Souls. I have to say I like the fact of all of us playing similar because it makes it more fair to me.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Sekiro has probably the best game play mechanics I've come across in 30 years when it comes to pure dueling mechanics. Upon mastery and execution it is clearly peak action game play, Fromsoft has never produced anything mechanically better.

    I would love to give the game a 10/10 but unfortunately it has flaws, flaws that take you out of the fun and moment to moment action.

    Boss dueling is a true gem and boss collision works great! But I think boss grabs have frustratingly huge hitboxes, so. It's rather annoying that many bosses have grab and throws that have movement tracking. So if a boss dives or jumps and throws something, you dodge right, the dive or thing tracks right with you. Just annoying.

    But the real design flaws I think is the moment to moment game play. Many of the world enemies further in are not the most thing to fight, rather annoying if anything. Aggroing anything more then 1 enemy becomes a real chore to deal with. The game is clearly built around 1 v 1 encounters.

    Also in my personal opinion much like all triple A games they try to create "depth" by creating options, such as firecrackers, Kunai and several others. They can be very clumsy to use and create dozens of options as every item has like 3-5 versions creating super cluster. Honestly I would of preferred if only the option between Kunai + 2 other key choices would exist, the rest coming from special techniques from "leveling".

    In summary, challenging with some of the best boss fights and dueling in games. But suffers from AAA bloat and does not excel in anything that isn't one v one boss duel, often leading to frustrating game design.    … Expand

    - Great characters - Good pace unless you go the wrong way too early - Good balance between stealth and combat - Great mix of bosses - Replay and Gaunlet option - Great boss variety, although some of them are somewhat recycled Cons: - EXTREMELY steep learning curve - Some enemies just deal obscene amounts of damage and take too much of a beating for being    Pro:
    - Great story
    - Great characters
    - Good pace unless you go the wrong way too early
    - Good balance between stealth and combat
    - Great mix of bosses
    - Replay and Gaunlet option
    - Great boss variety, although some of them are somewhat recycled

    Cons:
    - EXTREMELY steep learning curve
    - Some enemies just deal obscene amounts of damage and take too much of a beating for being just regular guys
    - Tracking that is sometimes borderline infuriating (Chained Ogre for example)

    Overall I REALLY wanted to love the game from the beginning and in a way I did, I just couldn't get into the combat, so I played it a bit until I had to fight Genichiro and then dropped it, picked it up again a year later and dropped it again. This year I finally stayed on top of things, got gud and collected the last platinum for a From Soft game.
    Due to the missing co-op I'd say it is a great game for people that are either resistant to to frustration, that are good a both Soulsborne and rhythm games as the combat is kind of like a dance or that have a natural talent for anything new as Sekiro WILL force you to adept to this playstyle, unlike Dark Souls you can't hide behind a shield or get away with dodge all the time, you pretty much HAVE to parry/counter/deflect things.
    One thing I really didn't like all that much was the fact that you often had to seperate adds from their mini bosses which basically means you sneak up to them, kill the add, run away and wait for the boss to reset which is viable, but annoying when you die to them and you will over the span of the game. Some of these mini bosses have like 4 or more adds which gets old really quickly if you die to them.    … Expand

The lack of resources in the game and farming ability is clear but it greatly pours over to the need of getting better at the game rather than rely on charms and enhancement items. It also creatively pours over to the game’s replayability. Speaking of which, the replayability on this game is also great. I’m currently on my second play through, and I already see my self going for a third one. I’m just having so much fun going back to the before hard enemies with my newly gained expertise and beating them with style. I also love the idea of over powering some of them. To me gaming is all about empowering the player. I find Sekiro to be at the top of this standard. Sekiro is a gaming phenomenon to me. Gameplay innovation at its best and it needs to be appreciated by all gamers.… Expand

    It is a difficult game that boasts a very high level of difficulty.
    However, excellent graphics, high-quality action, hitting sense, and cool weapons are the advantages.
    And of all the games that exist, the sword fight was the best embodiment.
    This game is worth 100 points for Metasco.

    This was the first game from "From Software" that I played and HOLY **** that was hard! I would play the game, get frustrated because of the difficulty, and quit. Then every time I turned on my PS4, I felt as if the game was taunting me. So, I ended getting "GUD" and was able to beat the game. Despite the difficulty, This is still a great game! Very creative gameplay as well as someThis was the first game from "From Software" that I played and HOLY **** that was hard! So, I ended getting "GUD" and was able to beat the game. Despite the difficulty, This is still a great game! Very creative gameplay as well as some very creative boss fights that keep you on your toes. A couple of things I didn't care for was the plot being very dialogue-heavy and the dragonrot. Every time you talked to one of the main NPC's, I felt like it would go on forever, and it got boring real quick. And as for the dragonrot portion, I understand why it's there but I think it could have been done better. All and All, I recommend this game but be forewarned that you will get your ass kicked (unless you're a professional gamer)… Expand

    I played Bloodborne, hated it, decided to never play another From game ever again.
    Decided to give this game a shot, one of my favorite games this generation.

    It was such a good game that I bought and plated all other games from this producer.

Each boss is uniquely designed with their combat style, appearance, arena etc. Beating the Guardian Ape Boss, Blazing bull mini boss, Genichiro Ashina were highlights of the game for me.     FromSoftware made this a great game, the gameplay feels nice and fast. i see many people complaining about the difficult, but in my opinion this game is not that difficult if you compare with demon souls, despite that it provides you a great experience, if you enjoyed the other games of this style you will definitely love this one.

    Its' a punishing and hard game with a high learning curve. But every single enemy you kill, even the dumb NPCs, rewards you with a rush of adrenaline. Story is so and so, but the gameplay is gold. Calling it a souls game would be an insult, as its' a category of its own with the fluidity and the movement.

The combat is different from souls and so it may be hard to adjust, with a focus on perfect deflections instead of perfect rolls - and of course, positioning too. The movement is fluid and does well to make you feel like a shinobi. The graphics and music are great too, the SFX with the deathblows andCertainly, a different beast from FromSoftware's usual but Sekiro is a fantastic game. The combat is different from souls and so it may be hard to adjust, with a focus on perfect deflections instead of perfect rolls - and of course, positioning too. The movement is fluid and does well to make you feel like a shinobi. The graphics and music are great too, the SFX with the deathblows and deflections sound so satisfying, but the boss music isn't as compelling as the Soulsborne bosses. The characters are intriguing and their stories are more in the open than usual souls game.

Also, I can't remember how many times I got frustrated because I couldn't defeat a boss. It's a game that requires patience and strategy.

    STORY

    I can't really judge the story of the game because it's really hard to understand. And that difficulty is due to the lack of care from the developers on conveying what the story is trying to say. You can understand elements of it and that is enough, which is good. Because you don't have to pay that much attention to the story since the gameplay makes up for it. But, as a person that loves narrative in games, it felt a little frustrating that I couldn't experience a good story. However, the lore of the game is awesome and also compensates the bad storytelling.

    BOSS FIGHTS

    The Boss Fights are INCREDIBLE! There was never a moment where I walked out of a boss fight and said: "This is a bad boss fight." From Software did a really good job on making each boss unique in it's combo variation and movement. The bosses need to be approached carefully. One thing that bothered me though is that one of this boss fight's arenas had a bug. So there was a way to cheat to defeat the boss easily.

    If there ever was a game that deserves to be called a masterpiece, then it's Sekiro. The visuals, the gameplay and the story are stunning. The combat system is so unique, innovative and brilliantly carried out that for me even the very high difficulty doesn't affect the joy of fighting in a bad way. On the contrary, the difficulty forces you the internalize the art of fighting like aIf there ever was a game that deserves to be called a masterpiece, then it's Sekiro. The visuals, the gameplay and the story are stunning. The combat system is so unique, innovative and brilliantly carried out that for me even the very high difficulty doesn't affect the joy of fighting in a bad way. On the contrary, the difficulty forces you the internalize the art of fighting like a shinobi and adds to the feeling. With this combat system I always felt like I have the abilities to defeat my opponents, I was sure through hard work I will gather the skills to succeed even in the hardest fights.     다만 난이도가 다소 높아, 유저 접근성이 낮은점에서 감점.

    You are looking for a challenge, you want to call yourself a PGM? you just landed in the right spot. This game is amazing, it immerse you in the JAPAN feudal era. You will die a lot of times, you will swear a lot of time but man the satisfaction of the swords strikes sound effect is just stunning and when you kill a hard boss or do a crazy move because you've panicked and pressed all theYou are looking for a challenge, you want to call yourself a PGM? you just landed in the right spot. I've played it with a PS4 back button controller, must have for this game if you want to really mastery the sword and the moves.

    I generally don't like hard games when it's not funny to progress but this one changed my vision on HARD games. Finishing this game in the first walk-trough and finishing it again after hitting the demon bells (surprise on what is this), you can clearly make a statement on your game-play skill :)

    Fantastic combat, engaging story, and great value. My only complaint is with some reused areas and bosses, which is nothing new if you’re familiar with From Software’s previous titles.

    One of the best games if not the best game this generation!
    Im a huge FromSoftware fan, i’ve played bloodborne, dark Souls remastered and dark souls 3 and platinum-ed them.
    This game has by far the best gameplay out of all of the souls games and might i even say every ps4 game! Don’t get me wrong, when i first played the game i was like ... damn this gameplay sucks! As i was playing it    One of the best games if not the best game this generation!

    Beating a boss is the most satisfying experience in any souls game.

    AWESOME gameplay , compelling story as well as a very unique open world but it’s not all roses since I never once heard a very good sound track and the characters were okay, they could have been better.

    Sekiro is the definition of git gud fromsoft made another masterpiece. every single bad review is about how hard the game is or how different it is from dark souls, well thats the point.. This isnt dark souls, when i started this game i had a hard time the parrying, the dodging, the grappling. These aspects of the game didnt click for me...     This game is amazing! Combat is tough but fair so if you die you know it’s on you... which you will die a lot in this game. Loved the game so much that I platinumed it. Would recommend to anyone who loves souls games and soles-likes

    This game is incredible. It is difficult, yet it never feels cheap when I die. The bosses are well designed, the music is pretty good, and the combat is fun and never got old. I love the games Fromsoft makes and this game makes me love them even more.

    El juego esta bien aunque siento que no se logro lo mismo con bloodborne, ya dejan muy en segundo plano la historia principal y se basa de ir matando jefes que son demasiado pero demasiado dificiles, dejan mucho para la imaginacion y no ponen en terreno los detalles de la historia.

    Voy a ser sincero, nunca me había encontrado un juego tan difícil en toda mi vida, o al menos siendo AAA. No soy capaz de pasar más allá del simio guardián, y me jode cantidad después de echarle más de 20 horas. Ningún Souls me ha supuesto un reto como este, ni siquiera Bloodborne y su jodidísimo DLC. Me rindo, no puedo, me supera. El juego brillante en todos los sentidos, por cierto.

    Sekiro reminds me of Bloodborne. It's both superior and inferior to the previous fromsoftware game, i love it when Miyazaki tries something new and sekiro is a masterpiece. But RE2 was the game of the year for me and sekiro would have come to number 2.     in challenging gameplay, anyone who has the patience to learn how to fight and finish it will realize why it is game of the year 2019. it is not unfairly difficult as some people acclaim it simply invites you to plan a strategy instead of running towards all enemies as if you are indestructible.

    Hitbox excelente, ambientação incrível, personagens legais, bosses interessantes e um nível de dificuldade bem desafiadora, tudo que eu procurava em um jogo. Para quem reclama da falta de PvP e da falta criação de personagem no jogo, enfiem suas reclamações naquele lugar!
    O jogo não tem que ser só mais um maldito Dark souls, não é    O melhor da from software e um dos melhores da geração.

    This was my first Souls-like game and I have to say it took some time to get used to it. But after all it is the first game that gave me "gamegasm" - the indescribable satisfaction from killing a hard boss you've been fighting for a long time. This game really gave me the gaming experience, not just cutscene-watching and killing lame NPCs experience. Sekiro shadows die twice feels very good to control and while having a big learning Curve after mastering the combat it feels very fluent and you can also feel every deflect and every blow. the Bosses were the Highlight for me i didnt hate a single one (if we dont count headless). a perfect game with great level design, bosses and combat. totally deserved the game of the year award.… Expand

    Speaking seriously for a moment, don't go in expecting a Souls game just because it's made by FromSoftware, this is a completely different game, even if it borrows some key elements from Souls.

    As souls like enjoyer, this game taking first or second plays of best souls like games, at first playthrough i was angry like a tiger, almost drop my ps4 through the window, after i focused and beat this game like 5 or 6 times not in a row, but i very enjoyed this journey!

    This is one of my favourite games of all time. The reason I love 'Sekiro' and 'Bloodborne' is the forward thinking combat and the way the game forces you to get better and perservere, and this is a truly wonderful video game.

The game, how ever near perfect it is, lacks multiplayer and a bunch of RPG elements expected in FromSoft games, but I just find the common Dark Souls stile a bit overwhelming, I personally prefer the simplicity that Sekiro offers. To wrap this up I have put around 130+ hours into this game and I love it to bits, it may not have the replay-ability as some other Soulborne stile games, but for me the core combat is fun enough to still be engaging after all this time. Also the free update they added recently has some more endgame content, other than new game + and is the most challenging thing (by far) in the game.     Overall, Sekiro is defined by its riveting, challenging, and ultimately highly rewarding gameplay. Stemming from simplicity but giving a wide variety of different combat options, few games come close to matching the exhilarating rush that Sekiro’s best moments provide. Exploring its atmospherically engrossing levels is a treat, from a visual, musical, and atmospheric standpoint. Even if exploration and character storylines are sometimes hampered by Dragonrot, repeatedly severing the immortality of bosses with brutal “Shinobi Executions” and discovering the ritual secrets of eternal life offers a captivating experience that stands out as one of FromSoftware’s best and most distinctive titles.

    Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is an enjoyable, yet deeply challenging game. It's not really a Dark Souls with samurais game, but whether or not you enjoyed the difficulty level of the battles in Dark Souls will be a good benchmark in gauging how much you'll like Sekiro. If you're persistent, up for a challenge, and don't become frustrated easily, then Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is an easy game to recommend.

    Though Sekiro feels impossibly hard at times, the level of euphoria you experience when delivering a death blow to a tricky boss or when you finally clear a castle grounds of all enemies is almost unparalleled.
