Will call this out for the greedy cash grab that it is. I was looking forward to playing this during the quarantine (ironic huh). Like many good reviewers already said, this feels like a good DLC and is not worth its price tag. I can see the Capcom in this game that gave us RE5,6 and other mediocre games

And all that could have been.

Resident Evil 3 remake feels like a rushed cash grab off of the curtails of RE2make's success. As you play you just cannot shake the feeling that it could have been so much more than what it is. After the first hour or so you will find that it feels more like a trimmed down RE2make. All the aspects of RE2make which made it shine have been dulled down.

With Nemesis you never feel that you are being tracked down and hunted like you did with Mr. X. He appears in staged "events" and is gone almost as fast as he appeared. Many of the same locations from RE2make are seen again and they feel more like fan service than plot progression, answering questions no one asked.

Graphically speaking it does not look bad. But, it also does not look that much improved over RE2make. Many of the assets are identical to those found in RE2make. You will be fighting the exact same 6 zombies you fought in RE2make over, and over, and over. The later iterations of Nemesis do look awesome. And I really do like the look of the hunters. But just about every other enemy feels like a rerun.

The story and presentation feel like Michael Bay and J. J. Abrams wrote/directed it. It is all bang and flash eye candy with little substance and a heavy dose of the "just so happens." No matter what situation you find yourself in the solution "just so happens" to be not far away. The plot is thin and predictable and never captivates the player. There are no twists that you won't see coming a mile away. Ultimately, and quite possibly the biggest sin, it gets boring and derivative.

As far as game play goes there has only been a couple tweaks to the RE2make formula. The addition of the dodge is nice as well as the knife no longer having durability. But, it feels like the damage the knife does do has been reduced when compared to the durability knives from RE2make. If you are a fan of the puzzle aspects found in the original Resident Evil trilogy you will be sorely disappointed. If there are puzzles they are so mundane and trivial that you will not even recognize them as a puzzle.

The package as a whole feels more like a larger DLC content patch than it does a stand alone game. So, Is RE3make bad? No, not at all. It is playable and even enjoyable. But I can't help feeling disappointed when I think of what re3make could have been.

Although Mr X was much more intimidating then Nemesis I enjoyed the spectacle of fighting Nemesis it was fun, Overall I’m not gonna lie I was a bit disappointed by RE 3 Remake but most of the time I was enjoying it and the 6 hours I spent in the game for me where worth the 60 dollars although a lot of people are complaining about how the game is so short it’s about the same length as RE 2 Remake which makes no sense to me I get that theirs two campaigns in RE 2 but you explore the same areas anyways I like the game a lot and I’d recommend it to anyone Expand

It's honestly a lot better than most people think or say it is. It is pretty small(~6 hours) and many assets originate from the RE2 remake, but is is still a very good game on its own right, with some good story telling and the best graphics I've pretty much ever seen. Also nemesis is terrifying, Jill and Carlos are awesome!

To me, the pacing was excellent, and every gameplay section was really cool and fun in some unique way. There was no extra boring padding or bloated feeling to the game. I took my time with the game and tried to collect as much as I could the first time around. It took me about 9 hours to complete. To me, it was a perfect length where the game didn't wear out its welcome. I'd rather the game be focused and shorter than a longer, bloated, drawn out game. Classic RE games usually tended to be shorter anyways, but because they were so tense and engrossing, they were a lot of fun. I love the Nemesis in this game. They did an excellent job on him and pleasantly surprised me. He is a badass adversary and I don't think I've played any other game where their was a villian or unique monster stalking you throughout an entire game. I felt this game was a step up from Resident Evil 2 remake and felt more complete. I loved how they mixed the environments up and had creepy indoor areas and then also bigger open areas. I loved the attention to detail in the apocalyptic areas of Raccoon City. They also did a better job with Jill and Carlos this time in relation to Leon and Claire from RE2. They seemed to have more personality and a modern one too that we can relate to without being too overly cheesy. The cinematics, controls, gameplay, audio design, graphics, and level design were all awesome. I also enjoyed how there were greater unique. creepy enemy variety this time as well as more grotesque enemies and boss encounters. The blood and gore was also very realistic and immersive. Resident Evil Resistance also seems like a good complement to the game. It seems to be of a quality product and have a decent replayability, so it helps strengthen the package. I hope Capcom continues to refine these new RE remakes as they move forward into the future and keep the excellent RE core foundational gameplay they have finally nailed again! Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I appreciate the effort made by the developer to tread the very difficult line of staying true to the original story and a new experience. Obviously, the RE:2 Remake was always going to be better. It was a remake of a more popular game. It was a new 3rd person experience that took everybody by surprise. RE:3 stays tru to the formula and takes some risks, some paid off some didn't. Compared to RE:2 its underwhelming but again, in a vacuum this is still a good game and I enjoyed it. So far I have beaten it 3 times, One blind on standard, one speedrun on easy and one 100 percent collection. Now that I have a good foundation, I am excited to try the harder difficulties. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. SPOILERS! As much as this game isn't really good, do play it before reading, please. =)

It really pains me to give this game so low of a score, as I was expecting to have this be my new favorite game of all time, but this game really broke my heart. The original RE3 from -99 is my all time favorite game and I was soooo looking forward to seeing how they've remade it, especially after the fantastic remake of RE2.

-The game looks great, which is honestly and sadly the main driving force for it in my opinion.

-I think Jill was remade quite nicely (as are the other characters), though as much as I like a determined, bad-ass antagonist, I think she kind of overdid it. It took much of the respect and terrifyingness away from Nemesis when Jill kind of trash-talks at him. Best example of that is how Jill just throws out the iconic "you want stars? I'll give you stars." at him at the beginning part. It felt more like a meme for loss of better words here.

-The pacing feel off and hollow. Why does the same Nemesis that smashed through the wall of my home be stopped by a pile of rubble blocking the doorway. And especially the same Nemesis now armed with a rocket launcher stop his pursuit when a sliding door is shut in front of him? The scripted chase sequences feel like they stop to a wall when they are over. At the beginning when Jill had just escaped from Nemesis in her apartments, instead of continuing to run away she just stops by to chat with Brad right in front of the same apartment where Nemesis is.

-The gunplay, even though it's quite good, but why doesn't it feel as satisfying as in RE2 Remake? Did anyone else notice how the enemies feel less responsive to getting hit, and also like the ragdoll effects feel lesser too. I swear I saw many zombies fall down exactly the same and kind of "wrong" after being shot down. Anyone?

-I absolutely hated to new UI additions. The large icons showing above items when you get near them looks really awkward, I think. And also the X-button (PS4 here) pressing sequences that show up here and there. RE2 Remake had a really gorgeous and quite minimalistic UI which I liked.

At this point I'm seeing how I compare this so much to RE2 Remake. But I don't think it's too far-off to had hoped that this entry would have been at least equal and not less than it's predecessor. Especially considering they were being developed side by side.

-Imagine how cool it would have been to have the already existing groundwork of Mr.X's AI from REmake 2 mixed with the fantastic design of Nemesis. That would have been the best! Instead we got a handful of scripted sequences with him. Like come on, he's such an iconic and central character to the whole story. Why is he so downplayed?

-Also about Nemesis. To be honest, I really loved his redesign here. Meaning his first form of course, becase what the hell is up with his second form? Suddenly is he a dog or something? For me the essence of Nemesis has always been this unstoppable hulking monster, like Terminator. Now suddenly he's running on all fours and leaping around cars and walls? His second form was so great in the original and I couldn't have waited to see how he would have been in a proper remake.

-Obviously the huge amount of cut content. What the hell happened? Did the development team honestly cut like 80% off the original areas for any good purpose? And also if cut, what did they replace them with? Nothing? The places that we got here barely resembled the source material. I read another review here which pointed how Raccoon City looks more like Las Vegas with it's over-blasted neon signs now and I agree.

-Dead Factory from the original was such a cool, creepy place and they decided to cut it and replace it with a generic Resident Evil movie-esque laboratory. Don't get me wrong, NEST from REmake 2 was awesome, but this NEST2, come on. Firstly, what's with the name? Why is it 2? Is it because it's the second laboratory we see. But that doesn't make any sense. Also it really felt like a forced in RE Resistance add. The sequence with Jill running around the laboratory warehouse searching for fuses while Nicholai monitors here makes absolutely no sense and felt ridiculous and out of place.

-What was up with the whole antivirus plot they did in the end part. Who was Jill trying to get the antivirus for? As far as I saw it, everyone in Raccoon City was already turned or dead by then. What use would have an antivirus had anymore by then.

Gahh, I'm just going on and on... Geez, I'm just so bummed out. I would have really loved to love this game, and I think we all would have deserved a proper remake of such a magnificent classic game. Oh well, now I'm looking forward to the future and a chance for a proper remake of RE3, done by Capcom's Division 1 with the same love and care that they showed to RE2, and NOT by M-Two anymore, please!

After the success of the Resident Evil 2 remake, Capcom, unsurprisingly, released the remake of Resident Evil 3, a title originally released for PS1, PC, Dreamcast and, a few years later, GameCube. After finishing the campaign in about 5 hours and 20 minutes, it is time to say my justice about this new survival horror from Capcom. Does it live up to the original version?

It is late September 1998, the day before the events of Resident Evil 2. Jill Valentine tries to escape from Raccon City, because chaos is in place. Due to Umbrella's secret experiences, the majority of the population has turned into Zombies. But Jill's life gets even more complicated when she is chased by a big, ugly, horrifying and tooth-armed monster called Nemesis. Along the way, Jill will meet Carlos Oliveira, and together, they will try to find a way to survive the terrible events. And more I don't say to spoil the surprise to those who never played the original.

Resident Evil 3, like the remake of Resident Evil 2, uses the excellent game engine RE Engine and, as you would expect, says goodbye to the fixed cameras of the first Resident Evil. The third-person camera maintains the proximity to the style presented in the remake of Resident Evil 2, and also provides greater realism and immersion, without losing the visual essence of the original game.

When we start the adventure, we can choose between three levels of difficulty: Assisted, Standard and Hardcore. What are the diferences? In Assisted, players have aim assist, recover a certain amount of life automatically, enemies are relatively weak, start the game with an assault rifle and receive more ammunition when crafting. Standard is the typical normal difficulty. In Hardcore, enemies are stronger, ammunition and items are scarcer and crafting gives less ammunition. Newcomers to the Resident Evil series can start with Assisted or Standard to get used to it, but veterans will certainly move to Hardcore soon.

Avoid spending bullets on zombies, use on bosses instead, especially in the most advanced difficulty, is the best option. For those who already know the Resident Evil series, weapons like pistols, assault rifles, shotguns, rocket launchers and grenade launchers are present in this remake. The same goes for healing items, such as Green and Red herbs.

In terms of gameplay, it is very similar to the remake of Resident Evil 2, so anyone who liked this title will have a huge smile playing this remake. It's fun to explore Raccon City with this super smooth and fluid gameplay. It should be noted that Jill has the dodge mechanics as they had in the original game, which makes sense, since he is an operative with more training than Leon and Claire. However, there is a difference. Now, when executing a perfect dodge, the action slows for a few moments, thus giving an opportunity to counterattack.

Graphically, it maintains the same graphic quality as the remake of Resident Evil 2. For those who are fans of this series or games of this genre, it is quite satisfying to see the pale and lifeless faces of the zombies, as well as the detail of their wounds, and the way they are staggering towards us. The same goes for zombie dogs and other monsters. The characters and enemies underwent redesigns in order to modernize their look, as is the case with Jill, Carlos and Nemesis. In the case of Jill, there was a positive redesign in my opinion. I know this might be awkward for some fans of the old design, but the Jill Valentine of the original looks more like a character in the James Bond films, whereas in the remake version, I feel like she really is a character of Resident Evil universe.

As for the differences between the original and the remake, one with great impact is the absence of different endings and choices that affect the course of the adventure. This ends up having a consequence in the game's longevity, because there is less incentive to repeat the campaign. In addition, the Mercenaries mode has also been cut from the remake, further reducing single-player content. In place of this mode is Resident Evil Resistant, a 4 v 1 multiplayer mode.

It is certainly funny to see Nemesis trying to hit us with a Rocket Launcher, but I think the tension in the original has been reduced. Even Syndrome, which was a terrible game, showed more tension, despite its technical mistakes being even more frightening. Yes, the songs in this remake are good and fit well in different situations, but nothing more than that. The short campaign and the absence of any single-player content is also not in favor. Resident Evil 3 is a good game, but it could have been a lot better if certain things hadn't been cut.

does that mean it's a bad game? hell no it isn't, it still one of the most fun game I played.
But is the 60$ price tag justified? No, not even close (disregarding the Project Resistance thingy that shoved down our throats with the game, I didn't even download it).
in my honest opinion as a fan of the franchise if you are buying this package only for RE3, I'd advice to wait until the price drops to 30~40$, this game is worth playing and pretty fun even to replay multiple times. if you gonna play Project Resistance too, then all power to you and the price of 60$ is a bit easier to gulp in that case.

I'll have to agree with the reviews saying 'this shouldn't be considered a separate game but a dlc instead' because it's just too short, too small and too pricey. Nearly no new maps, they simply placed more zombies to somewhat make the play-through harder and worthwhile, but it obviously didn't work and never could.

While a lot of players hate Konami, I remember when Metal Gear Survive was released, they at least had the decency of lowering its price, while the game was intended for endless hours of immersive fun. As for RE3, it's pure cash grab.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's very difficult for me to express just how appalled and disgusted I am with Capcom's decision to outsource this game and, as a result; completely sabotage the opportunity they had to make a truly outstanding remake as they had done with Resident Evil 2. I am even more so disgusted with the amount of fake positive reviews left on here to help boost the game's sales.

This game is missing pretty much all the content from the original Resident Evil 3. There are only three mandatory puzzles in this game, and certain enemies such as the Grave Digger, Brain Suckers and Crows have been scrapped. The zombie dogs only show up twice and the Drain Demos have been replaced by strange insectoid-looking creatures that present little challenge to the player. Many of the games iconic locations have been removed altogether, I have listed these locations here - Raccoon City up-town (this includes the beginning streets and Bar where we find Brad), Raccoon City Park, News Agency Building, Restaurant, Gas Station, Garage, Dead Factory, Clock-Tower.

It should also be noted that (in this remake) Jill does not make her way to the R.P.D to witness the death of her friend and team-mate Brad Vickers. The player takes control of Carlos Oliveira, who witnesses Marvin Branagh being attacked by a zombie-Brad Vickers. Somehow, Brad is still able to talk in his undead state, and is killed by Carlos in the courtyard of the R.P.D.

The new streets of Raccoon City in this remake feel very limited and artificial, there is almost no immersion whatsoever. The Nemesis is only in the game for a very short period, and he does not freely chase you as he did in the original, instead he only shows up for linear "boss fights".

Mercenaries mode has been scrapped, this is probably down to the sheer lack of content in the mere 5 hour-long campaign, leaving mercenaries mode redundant in this remake. In it's place is a multiplayer mode called "Resistance". Nobody asked for this rubbish and I honestly don't understand why developers are so obsessed with implementing multiplayer modes into single-player games?

The gore has been completely toned down in this game. The limbs no longer linger around with ragdoll effects. You can no longer continue to dismember a zombie after they’ve fallen or lost a limb. Bloodstains are no longer persistent within the instance. Bodies also no longer ragdoll once they’ve been set to the “dead” state and zombies can’t be blown in half by a shotgun at close range. This is quite different from the way the “wet gore” was utilized in the RE Engine for Resident Evil 2 Remake.

In the original Resident Evil 3 there were choices the player could make, these choices have been removed and so have the multiple endings. Jill's character has been toned down due to the agenda that is known as "political correctness". Her original outfit is available for purchase as DLC, but her skirt was changed to shorts because they didn't want to offend the SJW's who are currently destroying the entertainment industry.

Well, I really don't know what else there is to say. I could go on but I feel I have written more than enough to give you all some insight as to why this game is so terrible. Don't buy it. In my eyes it is a major let down and a massive downgrade from Resident Evil 2.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game looks stunning and looks like re2 remake but it takes away too much from the original. The original had side stories that further made you feel invested into the game such as Dario’s story in the beginning where he lost his daughter, the awesome cutscene of the battle between RPD and the zombies, saving Brad from the zombie and then his death, the Nemesis mostly keeping his form and character until the final battle, and I always thought the room at the dead factory where you fight the final nemesis form was awesome where you see a bunch of dead mercenaries and T-002 tyrants signaling a major battle took place there (that would have been an awesome battle to explore). Rather than providing us with that sense of wonder, we get a generic story with cliche characters, and the Nemesis is watered down. I did not understand why the change to make Nemesis into a fish creature and then a blob as that was already done with Birkin. I’m disappointed that this game could have been so much more. Expand

I can accept it as a reimagining as it's great at that but not as a remake of the original due to the few cuts they made and due to those cuts made it shorter than it should've been. The original wasn't that long either but I don't accept that for a modern remake as they can take what's been established and expand on it and make it amazing like they did with Resident Evil 2 remake. But this is more of a reimagining and should be considered as one and for that reason I'm not giving it a negative rating as it's just simply a great game in that regard.

    Pros.

+ Graphics are improved over it's predecessor which is impressive and shows how amazing the RE engine.

+ Sound effects are great and you can hear every detail.

+ Soundtrack has more of a focus than it's predecessor and it really shows with some nice tones and some dread inducing ones at the right moments.

+ Atmosphere is amazing and shows why the Resident Evil series is one of the best at it.

+Jill Valentine is fantastic and her design is done very well.

+Nemisis is still terrifying as ever.

    Negatives.

    - The detail in the gore and dismemberment of enemies has been toned down, while it doesn't effect the experience much it is noticeable.

    - A bit short, while it's more of a reimagining, another hour or two of content would've been much better because when you have gameplay that is this fast it can feel like you're progressing quicker than you actually are.

    -Some enemies have been cut.

    Verdict.

The game is empty, does not rescue the essence of its predecessor and also leaves a lot of things out of the original, also does not innovate leaving the game without identity, the horror and suspense are not there, everything looks like a movie, remembering resident evil 6. The bright spot is Carlos and Jill with more personality, and the graphics and reused gameplay from their antecessor.

Really really great re-imagening of the original. it's not a straight remake so don't expect that. It's more like a new take on the same premise. And personally ? I loved it ! Story is great, Characters are awesome. And yeah, it's not very long BUT Resident Evil games have always been short ! Their length lies in multiple playtrougths.

Anyone who loved RE2make needs to play this game. The quality is extremely high (one of the best opening first hours in a game, ever) and there is a ton of replay value/things to unlock.

Quality >>>> Quantity always. People who only play long, bloated games need to take a look at how they value their time.

The RE engine is probably my favorite graphics engine; something about it is uniquely beautiful when a zombie ambles towards you in the dim light of an alley. The only reason I give it a 9/10 instead of a 10/10 is that so far the level design doesn't quite reach the level of excellence of RE2 level design. That said, RE3 is intentionally a game with a different focus than RE2. I'm about half way through the game and hope it will be fun for a replay. I'm not sure if the final boss can possibly live up to the boss fight in RE2 as Leon, we'll see ! Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Definitely a step back from RE2, the lack of fear and danger it's very noticeable, and the intense moments fades away really fast after the first act.
Although, they did get a bit lazy with this one, cutting so much content from the original game by making it 4 hours long and not adding any extra content (despite some unlockables that can be used in-game which will probably be enough to keep the replayability fun for while), the game still has it's flavor and enough content to be deserved of a good rating.
Nemesis, being the most high expectation enemy deliveries it's imposing presence really well in the begining of the game, he doesn't deliver the same fear and frustration that mr. X did, and he's definitely less present, but he's still an awesome and interesting enemy to face until he gets mutated, and that's where the boss fights with him and his character overall becomes really boring and sloppy.
Despite being a scripted character that unfortunately couldn't beat mr. X's performance, without him the game wouldn't have got the same spirit, but they definitely could have done a better job.
Anyways, it's awesome, fun, but quite disappoint in some ways, Capcom definitely decided to take a more action routed experience instead of a scary one.

The top grade graphical and gameplay goodness that was the RE2 remake has even been bumped up to a higher notch here. This game is stunning both visually and auditorily! I was surprised at just how much I enjoyed playing this game. Many people have complained that it's too short. I'm an average player (not some sugar-fixed, twitching, impatient spaz) and it took me about 8 hours to complete. I find this duration almost perfect. I don't live in my parents basement. I actually have a job, responsibilities and obligations. The RE2 remake of last year was nearly perfect but a bit long in my opinion. I don't need a horror game to last 30+ hours. Perhaps a fantasy RPG like FF7 Remake, but then again, a game like that will probably take me months to complete. Yes RE3 has some stages removed from the original but it also has new ones- which I actually think work better in relation to the game's context and narrative. I've seen a bunch of crybaby reviews slamming the game for removing the typical puzzles of 90's video game obscurity. Trust me when I say that those puzzles just do NOT hold up well anymore. We're 2 decades past that. Rehashing those gameplay mechanics just wouldn't work and I always felt in the case of the OG RE3 that it actually stalled and broke up the otherwise superb pacing of A HORROR GAME.

*Also, for the record, there are no QTE moments in this game. If you see reviews mentioning them in the game, you know it's a fake review-bomb*

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As a longtime RE fan. I loved the RE2make last year and dumped a lot of time into it. I was super excited and not surprised given the success of RE2 that Capcom would release a remake of RE3. And it does not disappoint at all. 1.) Length and Replay Value- Do not listen to all the salty “fans” on these other reviews saying the campaign is too short to justify a $60 price tag, in my opinion that’s wrong. I spent 8 1/2 hours playing through my first run on hardcore which is a solid length for an RE game. My first play through of RE2 remake took me 7 hours for Part A and 2 1/2 hours for part B. So it’s just barely longer than RE3. With the inclusion of unlockable content including an in game shop that sells game altering items and costumes. As well as a new difficulty called Nightmare that shuffles enemy placement and item placement the replay value is high in the RE3 remake.

2.) Nemesis- I keep hearing Nemesis is completely scripted now. He was in the original too so I don’t understand that complaint. Nemesis is way more intimidating this time around compared to the original. He will cut you off, sprint after you, and pull you to him Scorpion style. Mr. X was intimidating at first in RE2 remake but once you knew his limited move set and how easily avoidable he was he became more of a nuisance. Becoming a road block keeping you from doing the next objective (looking at you RPD Library). Nemesis on the other hand becomes the objective when he is on screen. Down him and you will be rewarded handsomely. Nemesis encounters are set pieces to drive the story forward rather than a road block that was intimidating at first but quickly wore down its welcome like Mr. X. Capcom made the right choice keeping Nemesis scripted. Having Nemesis constantly stalk you at certain times like Mr. X would have been annoying.

3.) Main Characters - Jill is a badass protagonist in RE3 remake and way more fleshed out due to her having PTSD from the Mansion incident in RE1. I liked her voice actress too. She had some funny one liners as well as some serious weighty moments with Carlos and with Nikolai. One scene in particular that stands out to me is when Jill first meets Nikolai and Nikolai promptly shoots and kills a comrade whom he believes is in infected. Jills voice actress and the the motion capture on this scene had me totally invested.

Carlos character is the biggest departure from original RE3. His character and look was dorky in OG RE3 but has been replaced with a suave, smooth talker in the RE3 remake.

Jill and Carlos chemistry is on point and I loved all of their interactions in the cut scenes and walkie talkie conversations.

4.)Gameplay - Gunplay is tight and responsive. Jill and Carlos feel agile and more fluid than Leon or Claire with the included addition of the dodge mechanic you feel better prepared to take on the zombie hordes roaming Raccoon City.

5.)Graphics/Animation- Jill and Carlos hold and aim their weapons in a professional manner. Which might not mean a whole lot to most players but I love accurate representation of tactics and movements, these characters are elite and they should look and feel the part. Where to start with graphics? The RE engine is a powerhouse, the facial expressions are amazingly realistic, giving you the feeling that these characters are real and you want them to survive.

The lighting is superb especially on the streets of RC and in the hospital. Some textures and decals look a little blurry but that’s just a small gripe. The cutscenes are well made, movements are realistic and lip movement is perfectly in sync. Feels like you’re watching a movie. I Didn’t think it was possible but RE3 really does look better than RE2 and I thought RE2 looked fantastic.

6.) Audio- Although I was a little disappointed that the RE3 original soundtrack wasn’t included like the RE2 OST was with the deluxe edition of RE2. I was still kept on edge by the ambient noise. Tension is the name of the game here and this game deserves to be played with a nice pair of surround sound headphones or 7.1 surround sound system. You can hear zombies moan in the distance, water dripping, winds blowing outside. Gun shots sound heavy and feel like they have real weight behind them, especially the Glock 18. The star of the soundtrack is the little things and it’s all incredibly subtle, I played with a pair of Audio Technica 7.1 surround headphones and I was completely immersed in the survival horror.

Bottom Line : RE3 remake is a worthy successor to the RE2 remake. I dare say that I liked this remake just a little bit more than the RE2 remake which is bound to be an unpopular opinion. True RE fans will love diving back into Raccoon City. The graphics were better, the antagonist more intimidating, the gameplay more refined, and the protagonists more believable and likable. Jill’s my girl!

After a stellar remake of an arguably the best Resident Evil game ever made, Capcom has let down our expectations by giving us a more scripted, more linear survival horror action game that will probably be forgotten like so many sequels that have gone the path of less resistance when it comes to game design. RE3 make feels more like a DLC than a full-blown game.
