    I haven't played the original so I don't understand all the hate. As a new comer to the series I'm loving the game and recommend anyone give it a chance. Doesn't deserve the hate in my opinion but I guess you can't please everyone.

    As someone who never played the original, I love this game. If you just wanted to play Resident evil 3 again go play the original or embrace the remake for what it is. A beautiful, terrifyingly good game.

    Very short game, without the most memorable moments, Nemesis is nothing. Unfortunately, Capcom go wrong again with the RE franchise.

    The game looks nice. It has some good ideas and bad ones as well. But at the same time there are so much things I hate about it. I love the Re franchise Re 1,2,3 and 0 my all time favourite. But this is a joke... 3.5h playtime no puzzles and awful zombies.. no gore and the aim is one of the worst I ever seen lately. It's not worth the price at all..compare with other games for the sameThe game looks nice. It has some good ideas and bad ones as well. But at the same time there are so much things I hate about it.     I don't understand why this game gets so much hate,and for those people who says "the game is too short" all of Resident evil games are 5-7 hours long what do you expect????.
    Sure Re2 Remake was better but this game is still amazing and Nemesis is way more scarier than Mr x.

Like the classics, she again enjoys the success of RE2 Remake and gives us a completely inferior sequence.     This was one of the main games I was looking forward to this year. Unfortunately, Capcom doesn't care about the actual fans of this franchise. They cut content to push the game out the door faster and censored several aspects to please people that don't have any intention of playing it. Could have been a much better game.

    The game is RE6 but made "right". Is not a RE3, definitly. I craved a lot for this but the game was dissapoiiting. There is no RE soul in it, like RE2 Remake. If i knew this was a linear game, i wasn't going to pre-order it like i did with past installments. CAPCOM cutt out the majority of things that made this "RE3". Is a decent game, but not a RE3 Remake. Too short and linear. I was happy the series got back to its roots on RE7 (wich was great) and RE2 Remake (also great, dispite the cutt offs). But this installment made me divided. The first part of the game was great, and that's it. The design of the Hunters were pretty great and they are awsome. Carlos is awsome, the cinematics are great. The OST is ok, with original tracks remixed. The ties with RE2 were fine. But RE soul is to explore, to backtrack, to solve riddles and puzzles. This is a deal breaker for me, i wont be buying any titles from here on, CAPCOM begun to make great things with RE Engine but it seems they entered the "confort" zone again.     The game is 2 times shorter than re2. Plus there is too much action. I cannot even call this game a horror. Mr X was better than Nemesis because Nemesis could jump and run, which made him too imbalanced.
    From technical point of view this game is even better than re2. Buy it, but it is better to wait for discount. Re2 still remains the best resident evil game.

    I,m a school fan of resident evil series , but i think this remake is amazing , fantastic job by capcom , maybe a little short , but story telling , model design , new jill valentine i love it . Racoon city is a live and atmospheric , nemesis is grate and always until end , he is danger, you feel that . This is another grat job by capcom , modern survivul horror , i enjoy a journey withI,m a school fan of resident evil series , but i think this remake is amazing , fantastic job by capcom , maybe a little short , but story telling , model design , new jill valentine i love it .     They cut far too much and the pacing is pretty bad. This was sorta a fail. Cut too much. Animations are weak. Nemi is not used often. Key location cut. No puzzles.

    Jogo curto demais, não vale o preço. Para quem estava realmente no hype, sei como você esta se sentindo. Se a pessoa já conhecer as mecânicas basicas do jogo, consegue zera-lo em menos de 3hrs no padrão. Infelizmente, um péssimo remake.

    Não tem a clock tower?Grave digger? Aranhas? Corvos? Cemitério? A capcom continua sendo a mesma mercenária de sempre... Poderia ter sacrificado o online e ter add tds esses inimigos clássicos e cenários do original.

    PS: O pior pecado do jogo foi ter removido a CLÁSSICA cena da morte do Brad, decepção total

Como remake palidece ante el RE de 2002 y el RE2 del año pasado, alejándose en su práctica totalidad de su material original y dándo una menor cantidad de contenido que este. En este RE3 se aboga por un mayor énfasis en la acción; y sí, es cierto que el original tenía más acción que las otras dos entregas, pero no por ello descuidaba elementos como la gestión de recursos e inventario o exploración y rompecabezas.
    Si lo comparamos con el original se eliminan enemigos (arañas, cuervos, Brain Suckers y el Gravedigger, quien constituía el único enfrentamiento de jefe ajeno a Nemesis del juego original), se eliminan armas y tipos de munición (armas como el lanzaminas y municiones como las granadas congelantes) hay zonas drásticamente reducidas (uptown es una sección lineal sobre raíles de 10 min al inicio del juego a la que no podemos volver, en la que se aglomeran localizaciones como el almacén, el garaje o el Bar Jack, y la zona de downtown se ha visto recortada a menos de la mitad de su extensión original, básicamente la zona de la demo es todo lo que queda de downtown en el juego) o directamente eliminadas (como la torre del reloj, el parque, el cementerio o la fabrica abandonada). La presencia de Nemesis se ve reducida en el conjunto del juego, quedando relegado a persecuciones scripteadas que preceden un combate de jefe, la única vez que nos persigue en tiempo real es en la zona de la demo (con un trigger distinto a esta), reducir de ese modo la presencia de Nemesis en un juego que se centra en él es algo que no logro comprender, en lugar de mejorar y expandir el sistema de Mr X han decidido recortarlo de forma deliberada, reduciendo su importancia y factor de riesgo, puesto que suele aparecer para una persecución que indica el final de esa área para proceder a la siguiente zona (sus transformaciones en lo personal no me gustan, en términos de diseño visual y jugable, Nemesis perro es un concepto que no comprendo y que priva de parte de la magia del original, quien daba esa sensación de perseguidor implacable e indestructible al mantener su apariencia humanoide durante el 90% del juego, aquí a mitad de juego se convierte en un perro que cabalga por las azoteas a toda hostia y cuyo combate se recicla en el laboratorio con un par de ataques nuevos; y su forma final, Nemesis gotelé, aka G5 2.0 es un concepto vago y cutre, así como una contradicción para con el concepto de la criatura, su última forma es un amasijo de carne que se adhiere a una pared y escupe ácido y da puñetazos de vez en cuando; en el original era un engendro mutilado y deforme que aun en ese estado no cejaba en su empeño de dar caza a Jill), Nemesis es pues un downgrade en todo sentido respecto a su versión original. Se eliminan momentos icónicos como la muerte de Brad a manos de Nemesis o la destrucción del helicoptero (ocurriendo esta en el garaje del principio sin tener ninguna clase de impacto). Se elimina la progresión no lineal de eventos del original (en la que en función de que zona visitaramos primero ocurrían unas cosas u otras) así como las live selections que modificaban aún más el desarrollo y otorgaban variedad a la campaña, solo tenemos un final (muy anticlimatico) y se ha eliminado el modo Mercenarios. La cantidad de trajes desbloqueables se ha visto reducida al traje de S.T.A.R.S., ya que los trajes clásicos no pueden desbloquearse en el juego, siendo sólo un incentivo para precomprar el juego (que posiblemente saldrá como DLC de pago en el futuro, lo cual es francamente rastrero).
    Como juego independiente parece más cercano a RE4 y posteriores (llegando a niveles tan solo vistos en RE6, en cuanto a lo lineal y flipado de su acción). Se prescinde de las zonas abiertas y explorables en su práctica totalidad, su mapa está en su mayoría compuesto de pasillos separados a través de cinemáticas a los que ni tan siquiera podremos volver una vez finalizada la sección (literalmente las únicas zonas explorables son las calles que aparecían en la demo, que por otra parte componen el 90% del total de las calles y el 100% de lo explorable de las mismas, y el hospital/laboratorio). Una gestión de inventario retocada innecesariamente que reduce bastante control sobre al gestión del mismo. Los puzles son inexistentes. Presenta un buen esquema de control, con una jugabilidad pulida y buen apartado gráfico (aunque hay un downgrade evidente en el gore y ragdoll respecto a RE2R), tiene problemas de ritmo pero define bien a los personajes. Es muy fácil (hasta en Hardcore) y bastante corto (problema agravado por la falta de finales, epílogos, progresión no lineal y live selections), buena OST (remezcla temas del original), pero parece no saber que quiere ser, emulando pobremente a RE2R y RE4 sin hallar un equilibrio entre ambos.
    Parece hecho con prisas, muy decepcionante (no digo que sea malo), pero mejor pillarlo cuando esté de oferta.    … Expand

    It is a good game, but definetily, isn't a good Resident Evil 3 game! Why cut the giant worm? why cut a Nemesis transformation? Why cut the clock tower? the RPD? this isnt the classic resident evil 3, this is CAPCOM crazyness at its finest. Shame.

    The saddest thing about this game to me is the laziness of the team ... they only use the assets of RE2 remake to make it that's why we don't have the clock tower, the raccoon city park etc ( include in    Resident Evil 3 remake is not a bad game ... it's simply not a good Resident Evil !

RE7 and RE2 showed capcom was heading in the right direction, but this game, and it hurts to say this, is mediocre at best. RE3 is when the series became more action packed so understand it is slightly different than RE2, but this game fails at keeping the same technical quality andI've been playing these games since the beginning. Always bought day 1 and always enjoyed them, except 6. RE7 and RE2 showed capcom was heading in the right direction, but this game, and it hurts to say this, is mediocre at best. RE3 is when the series became more action packed so understand it is slightly different than RE2, but this game fails at keeping the same technical quality and development quality of RE2 remake, a game that came out over 1 year before this. I clocked in 5 and 1/2 hours game time from Start to Finish, not just endgame playtime. Gameplay wise it fails at recreating the experience with modern technology. Nemesis is a plot device and not a game mechanic, areas were cut or dumbed down, and even compared to the original it has become more streamlined. My favorite part is when zombies explode into a wet squishy noise because the game cant technically handle all the corpses on screen, something RE2R was able to handle.… Expand

    Soulless cash grab from a greedy publisher. Less content from both Re2 remake and even original 1999 ps1 game.

    Don't listen to paid reviewers or capcom shills like IGN who give this game higher than 5. They get free review copies and have nothing to lose. Not everyone can pay 60 dollars for 4 hour long linear third person shooter with NO replay value. Stay away.

    Let me be honest on this one, I would love to put 10 out of 10, but I cannot. The game is extremely short and there is no way to extend your experience above the average 8-hours campaign. It wouldn't be so bad if there was no RE2 Remake. Capcom is lazy again! If possible do not buy, let them know.

    Don’t listen to the people **** about it not including clock tower...etc. People are just bombing this game because they are pissy it follows a different story. If you take your nostalgia glasses off you’ll find this is nearly as good as REmake 2. The story all be it short, was coherent and enjoyable. People saying this game is “too short” obviously haven’t played the original. This is inDon’t listen to the people **** about it not including clock tower...etc. People are just bombing this game because they are pissy it follows a different story. If you take your nostalgia glasses off you’ll find this is nearly as good as REmake 2. The story all be it short, was coherent and enjoyable. But please don’t listen to people bombing this game because they can’t see the game for how good it actually is. Try this for yourself. This game isn’t as scary as REmake 2, but it’s not trying to be. It has more action, just like the original.     People need to realise this is a reimagination, not a remake. Just like the RE2R, it takes the best parts of the original and expands on that. The clock tower was boring, the Gravedigger annoying. The game is great but of course old boomers stuck in the past will find any opportunity to hate on something new and modern. 10/10, can't wait for the next remake Capcom. Keep em coming.

    Better than the original. Nemesis is a beast. It will keep you heart pumping throughout the whole game... A+

    **** the toxics fans ! The original game have the same period of time. It no have Tower Clock but they have another new things, Raccon park have mixes parts like the Subway, building zones, sewers and more. The Game don't deserve this.

    It’s RE2r with elements of other RE titles. Plus Resistance is awesome and nowhere near a cash grab like COD or something of that nature

    Edit: That Molag guy is just confused that it’s not a remaster but a remake so yes there are differences but that should be apparent going into this.

    They cut so much content from the original game. Pretty much all the puzzles do not exist in this game. Nemesis is as scary as a wet towel and useless. He only shows up during scripted events. I manage to beat this game just under 5 hours. This game was clearly rushed after how well RE2 did.

    Even though it is a very successful game, you will feel a little disappointed. Compared to the remake of the second game, this one often loses its pace and it is impossible to get rid of the impression that there could and should have been more to this game. [Issue#303]

    After a stellar remake of an arguably the best Resident Evil game ever made, Capcom has let down our expectations by giving us a more scripted, more linear survival horror action game that will probably be forgotten like so many sequels that have gone the path of less resistance when it comes to game design. RE3 make feels more like a DLC than a full-blown game.
