    I finally get to do a review after all these years. Just for context, I have never played a Ratchet and Clank Game, not on the PS2, or PS3, this was my first Ratchet and Clank game and I gotta say, just amazing, across the board.

    Recently I started playing the older games after this one which I played a few years ago, which immediately brings me to the music.     Recently I started playing the older games after this one which I played a few years ago, which immediately brings me to the music. I know this review is wonky, so I'll get to the point.

    I like this game it's a 10/10 in every aspect, graphics gameplay, character visuals, story, and even the music, but that's why I'm doing this. I did some very expert research and it turns out the PS2 soundtrack is better than the new one for this game, so I was gonna give this game 10 but some elements of the PS2 game, very small elements make this game Incomplete, and close to perfect.

    Oh and also on the performance side Ratchet and Clank did break my PS4 on 2 occasions, so I'll factor that in as well in the rating.

    9/10, a Superb game for any new or existing player to get into the Ratchet and Clank universe.

    This review is late and most probably won't help anyone, but it's just for History's sake, to Gratify Insomniac for their Efforts on games recently, and In the past.    … Expand

    I guess I'm late to the party. This is an absolute gem. The graphics, the weapons, even the racing cars (this can be a bit irking if you are going for the trophies). But overall a really fun game.

    I really like adventure games in which you collect stuff, find hidden collectibles and buy upgrades. Combine this with some decent combat mechanics and some platforming and I am hooked up for hours. Ratchet and Clank is a game that does just that.

    I was always fan of the Ratchet and Clank series, so when this remaster for the PS4 came out, I immediately bought it.

    The story of the game is a little blend and cliché but not terrible. It gives clear directions on where to go next and you can backtrack and go on sideway paths whenever you like. The open world levels, that you can visit in every order you want, makes the game fun to play. You are not bound to a specific path and if you are like me, you complete all the side quests first and then continue with the main story.

    The graphics are fairly decent and a good upgrade from the original game. The framerate is good and keeps stable throughout the game, even with a lot of action on the screen.

    The sounds and music are quite nice and when playing in the background gives a calming feeling while you are exploring.

    The ton of collectible items like bolts, gold nuts and trading cards made me search every inch of the game. Combine this with some PlayStation trophies you can earn for collecting everything and there is nothing in the game that I haven’t seen or experienced.

    The upgrade mechanics are really cool and although Ratchet and Clank is not an RPG, it feels this way when you upgrade your weapons with specific upgrades that let you earn more bolts, cards or Raritanium.

    The combat mechanics and weapon selection are well done and switching to one of your other ridiculous weapons is made easy to understand. Combat feels fluent and fair, except for some homing attacks some enemies have, but this adds to the challenge. The weapons are all over the place like the “Groovitron” and the “Pixelator”. Ever want to see an enemy in 8 bits in a fully 3D environment or see a tank dance? In this game you can.

    The New Game + feature let’s you collect and upgrade everything you didn’t get around to the first time so you can complete the game anytime.

    There are some minor complaints from my end about the game like the unskippable cutscenes when interacting with some NPC’s and the Clank levels which I found really boring, but this is my personal experience.

    Overall, I really liked this game and would complete it again anytime. Definitely worthy for giving it a try.    … Expand

    No miento me pase este juego 7 veces consecutivas, no dura mucho en realidad pero es buenísimo, en ningún momento me aburrí, me enganche como loco a esta joya, sus gráficos son buenísimos, tiene unas armas grandiosas, cada planeta tiene una personalidad única y muy bien diseñada, me encantó

    This game is one of the best gun games for me. It is full of ideas. I enjoyed it and it has a rating of 9.2 out of 10 and I want to finish it again on a hard level.

    A lot of reviewers are throwing around the idea that this is the closest we will ever get to playing a game animated by Pixar, and in fairness, they are completely correct. It is a stunning game where every animation, big or small is bursting full of character.

    The down side is that it feels short. and almost too heavily tied into the movie. Some cut scenes are directly taken from the movie and although not necessarily a problem with insomniac, they lack heart and rarely add anything interesting.    … Expand

    The story in Ratchet & Clank has you traveling to several different, bright and colorful planets that look absolutely gorgeous. This is one of the prettiest games on the PS4 and the animation is stunning. Visually it's right up there with the best animated kid movies. The story is both a reimagining of the original R&C game as well as an expansion on the plot of the film adaptation. It's all serviceable, but I found no interest in the narrative as there seemed to be some missing details. Also I feel the majority of the humor falls flat. The actual laughs are few.

    Exploring each of the game's planets is a blast. The joy of discovery is real. Everything comes off as genuinely alien and otherworldly. I was instantly pulled into combing every nook and cranny for whatever the developer hid there. In a lot of ways this how Mass Effect: Andromeda should have felt. Of course fighting your way through stages makes up the majority of what you'll be doing here. Combat feels mostly great and fights are both frantic and energetic. I had a slight problem with how the lock on system is handled for certain weapons. Nothing that got in the way of my ability to shoot effectively, but it never quite felt like that aspect was programmed quite as well as it could/should of been. Platforming is spot-on and what few diversions there are offer nice breaks in the action.

    Insomniac has created a stellar sci-fi adventure that can be picked up and played by gamers of all ages. It offers enough depth and satisfying action to ensure that it appeals to older audiences while never being too complicated to prevent the younger players out there from picking up and having fun as well. It's a masterclass in adventure and hands down one of the PS4's best exclusives.

Audio is fine and the voice acting is really well done. Controls are very fluid, jumping sections don't require pixel precision from you    I've never played any previous games so I can't compare them.

    However, as my first game in the series I really enjoyed it.

So when I saw this game was out I decided to finally pick it up, the current gen of consoles has been crying out for a great platformer and I was hoping this was it.

    Needless to say, it is exactly that, a great 3D platformer. Gorgeous graphics,    Ratchet and Clank has always been a game that looks like the sort of game i'd enjoy, however I've never really got around to playing it. So when I saw this game was out I decided to finally pick it up, the current gen of consoles has been crying out for a great platformer and I was hoping this was it.

    Needless to say, it is exactly that, a great 3D platformer. Gorgeous graphics, intuitive and easy to pick up controls, fast fluid (for the most part) gameplay, plenty of weapons with unique abilities, all full upgradeable. And each level has some level of replayability to.

    Having said that it does have a few minor downfalls for me. First and foremost is the flight controls. They are pretty clunky. The flight controls are on the left analogue rather than the right, and that's not something that can be changed in the options. On top of that they just feel more rigid than the rest. Everything else in the game feels so fluid and easy though, but because of that flight controls stick out as being weak.

    Replay-ability/hidden areas. This game does have replay-ability, there's the weapons to upgrade, the golden screws to collect and challenge mode. However my issue here is even the 'hidden areas' are marked on your map. The golden screws are the only real element of discovery within a level, and even then they're pretty easy to find on the most part.

    On the whole this game really is a great 3D platformer, and the best one i've played in a very long time on a non-nintendo console. It's just the points mentioned above for me that stop this from getting a 9/10 but it's a very solid 8.    … Expand

Bosses are fun, story is good, filled with that special kind of humor that has always been a signature of the series.     Was expecting a game just for kids but turned out to be decent.
    Decent graphics & the guns are all fun to play around with.

    8/10 because of the following flaws:

    * Too short
    * Too small/short/linear maps
    * Hoverboard races have cheating AI (rubber-banding)

    Overlooking the flaws, the gameplay is great and the graphics are awesome.

    I can honestly say I literally kept my ps4 for this game alone, and it delivered. Cannot recommend it enough. Feel like i am replaying my childhood. Only slight criticism is the graphics but it is a console game after all. Game play is awesome which makes up for this.

    A lot of fun really enjoyed it. First of the series I played fun for kids 8 and up and for the older gamer a decent challenge on higher difficulties. Points deducted for that under water sewer level that took me 9 attempts

    - racing and clank segments are annoying, threy're ruining the pace; some clank puzzles are hard for kids and you can't skip them like lockpicking

    - time trial race on Rilgar was made by sadist (+ they didn't fixed "failing' bug for jumping boost yet)

    Insomniac did a great job with this remake. Great level design, perfect technical performance and nice gameplay. Seems a contemporary comics made by Pixar but playable.

Tutto quanto di bello c'é a livello artistico e di gameplay, va peró a scontrarsi con una componente narrativo estremamente blanda. La storia é raccontata in maniera troppo breve e in generale sembra quasi "una cosa in piú". Le battute dei personaggi a volte fanno sbellicare, ma spesso e volentieri avrei preferito scene un po' piú lunghe e dialoghi scritti meglio. Nel complesso titolo colorato, divertente, vivace e ben fatto. Ricchissimo anche di collezionabili di ogni tipo e di "lore" sulla saga. Consigliato a ogni appassionato di giochi d'azione in possesso di PS4 che ha voglia di un gioco leggero e simpatico. Certo, non é qualcosa per chi cerca un'esperienza seria!!… Expand

There were a few points points that took several attempts to get through (damn swimming section!) which can really take you out of a light hearted adventure like this, but overall the difficulty was just about right.

    First game where 30 fps doesn't feel clunky, still 60 would be better. Game is pretty much like watching a cartoon and pressing some buttons.

    While it's not close to the best Ratchet and Clank entry in the franchise, the fact that this formula still holds up so well, even in it's slightly weaker form, through more than a decade of progress in the video game industry is a testament to the strength of this franchise.

The game's problems start to show, however, when you realize that some of the level designs haven't matured along with the mechanics, as some of the levels and enemy designs are very similar to how they were inside the original game. The story also feels quite a bit weaker and disjointed since it's trying to tie-in to the story of the movie. A lot of Ratchet and Clank fans might be polarized by a lot of the levels and more adult dialogue that they cut out. It's especially jarring to have a Ratchet and Clank game without arenas and skill points, two major staples of later games in the franchise that are conspicuously absent here.

    Overall, however, this is still an extremely fun game and is better than a lot of the AAA games that have been coming out recently. While it's not the best in the series, this game does show that Ratchet and Clank can still be relevant in this age of video game realism and maturity.    … Expand

Lots of new and returning weapons, level variety, puzzles that I still suck at after all these years, but I can overlook that, funny writing... And they've brought back Challenge Mode, (Fancy wayExcellent return to form for the Ratchet and Clank series, just as good as the originals, if not better. It keeps a lot of things from the first game, but mixes it up enough to be it's own thing. Lots of new and returning weapons, level variety, puzzles that I still suck at after all these years, but I can overlook that, funny writing... And they've brought back Challenge Mode, (Fancy way to say new game plus) giving you tons of replay value in an otherwise fairly short game.     It's a great looking game, colourful and each planet is varied. Lots of over-the-top weapons. Insomniac Games have also added a number of different sequences, so the game never feels dull, there's always something to keep you engaged, running    R&C is a blast, it's a light hearted, fun, platform shooter. It doesn't take itself seriously, and provides great comedy and satire in places.

    The script is playful and you'll find yourself smiling as you play this game. A great game for everyone.     Sony is making a movie based on the Ratchet & Clank series and with that, they're making a game based on the movie based on the series and the game's getting released first to gamers overall, fans of the Ratchet & Clank series, and moviegoers to sneak for upcoming footage of the Ratchet & Clank movie. This is absolute genius from Sony. I hope the movie can be as great as the video game.

    El juego es continuista en todos los aspectos jugables de la saga, introduciendo al juego original las mecánicas que se vieron en los de PS3, que hace que el juego gane en profundidad.

    El sistema de armas y mejoras tiene una extensa profundidad, cada arma tiene su árbol de mejoras para ir las consiguiendo con el transcurso del juego. Los coleccionables tanto como tarjetas, gitones o artilugios los iremos encontrando con el transcurso del juego, algunos de ellos obligados para continuar con la historia y otros algo mas ocultos que los podremos conseguir mas adelante.

    En cuanto a las batallas contra jefes, hay que destacar el trabajo artístico de esta obra, Insomniac a dado mucho mimo a este apartado del juego, tanto el diseño de personajes como de niveles, una experiencia inmersa desde el primer momento.

    Jugablemente es una gozada tomar el control de Ratchet y ponerse a disparar a los enemigos como un loco, los efectos de iluminación y sonoros hacen que sea increíble.

Es un juego de acción muy bueno y con un narrador que es el superheroe que se ve al principio del videojuego. Una de las cosas que falla es a la hora de mejorar tus armas. Lo primero, es que, es un poco difícil encontrar fragmentos de titanita (debído a su escaces), que son los fragmento con los que podemos mejorar las armas o los acompañantes. Y lo segundo es que las mejoras no son nada del otro mundo. Cuesta un poco poder mejorarlas y no dan apenas beneficios al arma o acompañante al que mejoramos.
    Luego, los objetivos secundarios son escasos y apenas hay easter egg; aunque yo no le doy mucha importancia, lo quise comentar.
    También me gustaria destacar las cartas que hay de coleccionables, y que si tienes algunas repetidas, puedas cambiarla por otra que tú no tengas. Eso sí, por cada 5 cartas te dan 1. La verdad es que yo, no hubiera organizado de esta manera el tema de estas cartas, no se como, pero seguro de que así no.
    Simplemente le di un ocho por la mala personalización de armas (es una opinión mía que va sin ánimos de ofender a los fans de juego). Ratchet and Clank is all about the characters, so when I see characters like Ratchet and Skid McMarx with somewhat... iffy expressions, it was very noticeable to me. Eso si, esta muy bien implementada en escenas como por ejemplo cuando aterrizas en un nuevo planeta, en cinematicas, etc, pero ya os digo que en cuanto a la accion y exploracion de planetas, no sabeis casi ni que esta sonando.

    El juego tiene muchisimas armas, muchas muy tronchantes, tiene un sistema de subida de nivel de las armas y otro sistema para mejorar las armas, bastante original por cierto este sistema de mejora.

    Las pocas fases de plataformas son entretenidas, las fases con Clank es cierto que rompen el ritmo del juego en cuanto a accion, pero tambien te hace cambiar el chip y calentarte un poco el tarro y eso es bueno, ahora donde no me gusta tanto es con los puzzles de los lasers, los odio. :(

    En cuanto a nivel tecnico, no hay mucho que decir, el juego luce muy bien, se mueve todo muy suave, apenas hay tirones de Fps, realmente es muy raro topar con alguno, creo que solo en dos ocasiones contadas me ha pasado y no me ha afectado a la experiencia de juego, es decir se juega muy bien.

    Me ha parecido un juego excelente, muy entretenido, con un sentido del humor buenisimo, algo infantil si, pero sigue siendo bueno. Un juego con variacion, no siempre estas pegando tiros, tienes que resolver puzzles y explorar planetas para conseguir objetivos secundarios, hay coleccionables, etc, es decir, que es muy rejugable, por dificultad y trofeos.    … Expand

    - Las cinematicas estan bien hechas, pero es algo que yo no pedia en absoluto al comprar este juego, en mi opinion pienso que hay demasiadas
    - Es demasiado corto y si no eres de volver a rejugar un juego lo vas a fulminar en poco tiempo y lo vas a dejar en la estanteria cogiendo polvo

    Conclusion: Me parece un juego muy divertido y algo diferente a lo que venimos viendo hoy en dia, titulo que puedes comprar sin miedo ya que es bueno aunque dejandome ese sabor agridulce en ciertos aspectos como fan de la saga ratchet and clank que soy.

    Being someone who grew up with the Ratchet and Clank franchise since the very beginning, hopes were high from this game to be a master piece and to stay true to the original. As fun as it is there were a couple minor points which irritated me when comparing it to the original.

    Presentation wise, this game is insane. It's like playing a pixar film. Everything is stunning to look at and everything looks more vibrant compared to the original. One planet, Batalia, has a snowy makeover which looks stunning and the water planet looks brighter than ever. Ratchet's fur looks plush and soft, contrasting to his original looks which made him rather rough looking for a furry animal. The amount of particle effects on one screen is insane, sometimes other whelming during heavy action sequences and making it hard to tell what you're shooting at and what is shooting at you.

    Voice acting for the most part is great. The original cast from Ratchet and Clank 2 onwards is back and as charmful and as witty as ever. My biggest gripe is Paul Giamatti as Chairman Drek and how Drek's character was dealt overall. In the original, Drek was this calculated, methodical authority who didn't answer to anyone but himself. A self made man who has earnt his power. This interpretation, however portrays him as this incompetent buffoon who only got to where is his now because daddy gave him everything. The threat is gone and, as a villain, I can't stand him or his reasoning behind his plan whereas in the original you could understand why he was doing what he was doing and was a bigger threat because of it.

    The story itself is the same for the most part. It's a retelling of the original from how loving idiot captain quark recalls it. It's fairly simple and give a simple motivation for our protagonists to start from wishful dreamer to fully fledged heros. For the most part nothing deviates from the original but the development of ratchet and clank's friendship is rather rushed. The two are instant friends, which is great and all but the strength of their friendship at the end isn't justified unlike the original. The two don't argue which isn't what best friend do: best friends squabble but become even closer afterwards which the original implements. This version also has recurring villain doctor nefarious who honestly isn't needed for the story. He doesn't add anything and he forced in, having his own agenda from Drek's despite being on the same side. This game is really short as well. It might be because of the release of the film but this game has 9 less planets than the original making play time now more than 9-12 hours, which is a real shame because as the end credits rolled I wanted more out of it. Another planet or another boss just to fully satisfy me.

    The gameplay mostly takes from the new, including weapons. Every weapon is fun to use and are all unique from each other but still full some archetypes (pistol, shotgun rocket, launcher). New gameplay elements in these planets does make the game seems easier at first but the amount of enemies does even out these additions. Everything is polished and every death is entirely the player's fault. It's some of the tightest gameplay if played in awhile.

    Should you buy this game? Absolutely. It's really fun and is a breath of fresh air by bringing back the platformer in an incredible way and for less than most triple A titles in the market. Is it better than the original? No, it's on par. For everything it does right to engage new players, it leaves a veteran of the series like myself just a little more faith to the original and for more planets to return from the original game.    … Expand

    Ratchet and Clank is an exceptionally solid action and platforming game. A decade of iteration carries over into the camera controls, spacing and reliable character behaviors. Using Ratchet to carve a path of destruction through droves of enemies has never felt so seamless and comfortable. Likewise the level design is more far more accommodating to dynamic open combat than ever before, with smartly applied cover and vertical terrain. There is more opportunity to strategize and use your wits to plan ahead, which alleviates the long-time issue of feeling unfairly funneled into ambushes. The forethought that went into making every encounter feel balanced ensures this is the best moment-to-moment gameplay in a Ratchet and Clank game.

    Unfortunately, the narrative isn’t built on as strong of a foundation. The plot leans far too much on tropes from traditional adventure stories, while adding no unique exposition or character. For example, Ratchet in this rendition has no layers to his identity other than being an unstoppable engine of optimism. In contrast, the original Ratchet was actually quite smug. He could be sarcastic and even vindictive. Ratchet develops a good heart through the hero’s journey, but it was always tempered by interesting human flaws. This is why the new game feels so insubstantial in terms of storytelling, despite having countless beautifully crafted CG cutscenes.

    However, it is worth noting that the visual fidelity does benefit the overall product. Ratchet and Clank is one of the most attractive titles on Playstation 4. The asset detail is remarkable, regardless of its stylized appearance. Sophisticated lighting and reflections are implemented with painstaking precision, adding an unprecedented level of believability to the experience. Plus how the engine handles rendering so many enemies and explosions with minimal throttling is genuinely impressive. The only substantial criticisms to be lobbed at the technology is the annoyingly constant need for disguised loading and sub-optimal frame rate. Ratchet and Clank stays mostly locked at 30 frames per second, but can occasionally drop below 20 when scenes become absurdly busy. It is a shame Insomniac didn’t try for 60 frames per second, but is understandable given the sheer spectacle.

    Really there isn’t much to improve for the inevitable sequel. The writing certainly needs more depth, particularly to keep adults engaged. Similarly, the soundtrack should lean less on Hollywood bombast for its inspiration. Older Ratchet and Clanks had melodic and memorable tracks, some of which are still revered by the fanbase to this day. Insomniac simply needs to embrace more of the inherent weirdness of science fiction.     That being said, this game is very fun to play so long as you know what to expect going into it. The game does not offer too much more than its predecessors but that is not its intention. It succeeds in being faithful to the light hearted nature of the rest of the series' installments, which is for me half of the reason I enjoy these games so much, the other half being the customization and adaptive opportunity of choosing the right customized weapon at the right moment to win in the easiest way (this game succeeds at this as well, perhaps better than some of its most recent predecessors).

    The look of the game itself is stunning, and certainly contributes to the playing experience, as all the colorful atmospheres and interesting variations in level design make it one of those game that are truly enjoyable to play through. I enjoyed especially the task of trying to find the golden bolts and the occasional frustration that came with that. When going back through already accomplished levels I didn't feel so much a sense of repetition as I did a sense of success, being able to stomp on familiar territory with a more prestigious purpose. And the settings are so bedazzling that exploration is really an almost calming pastime.

    That being said, this game might come up short to players who are not already in love with Ratchet and Clank or who are too much in love with the original Ratchet and Clank. To players new to the series, the game might feel somewhat boring in its simplicity. To players who loved the original with all their heart, the game will suffer a similar feeling of being dumbed down. The old Ratchet and Clank games always threw in some risqué jokes intended for a more mature audience and always managed to maintain an adult undertone, despite all appearances to the contrary. This game loses that aspect of it since it is trying to accommodate its devolution into a children's movie. To a degree, both criticisms are justified. The game is certainly simpler than its original titles.

    But that being said, I think part of its simplicity is derived from the ease of its playability. This game's controls might be the most perfected out of the whole series.

    Taken into a full perspective, this game succeeds at bringing Ratchet and Clank to the new console and perfecting the atmosphere and controls of the series. It provides an entertaining experience with the same customization opportunities had in the previous entries, along with giving players several new innovations. The game manages to keep its charm even if it loses some of its wit. Certainly not the best in the series, but deserving of an 8/10.    … Expand

    Ratchet and Clank is very well written, funny, and a whole lot of fun. I got it for free from Playstation Plus and was very happy with it. I'm sure it's cheap now too so if you missed the free giveaway it's worth the few bucks that it sells for. It's 10 hours well spent. So it's a little on the short side, but I loved every minute of it.

    Pretty good. Graphically I expected more for 30FPS, and some aspects aren't actually as good as the original was, but still pretty good.

    Would hope for some PS3 ratchet and clank remasters of this level of quality. Either that or a real PS4 ratchet and clank.

    Just a fun game to play. I had never played any games in the series and enjoyed this game throughout.

    Pros:
    - Plenty of weapons that were fun to use and experiment with
    - Clank's puzzles were well done
    - Enjoyable story and made me laugh some

    Cons:
    - While the weapons were cool the combat felt ancient
    - Some of the track racing and other unique parts could be frustrating

    The key adjetive here is FUN! it doesn't matter if you're new to the series or a newcomer (such as myself), the gameplay has a bit of a retro feel that brings a little nostalgia to us older players, but it's still fresh and entertaining all the way. If you want a quick funny and entertaing time with your PS4, this is your game.

    This game is what every remake should be! The graphics jump is just gorgeous! I hope this sets an example for all the other developers out there instead of just remastering the same exact game and re-releasing it.
    When we ask for a remake this is the prime example of what we're looking for.

    Another great part of game - cards and all other collectables. If you are a person who likes such thing, you will like the collecting of this game too.
    One of the craziest things also - weapon, its diversity and opportunity of leveling up. It made here better than a lot of other (more hardcore) games.

Ademas este juego tiene algunas carencias inexplicables como el no poder adquirir armaduras o menos armas a comparación de anteriores juegos de la saga.

    Having only played the original Ratchet & Clank and then recently watching all the cutscenes for the rest of the franchise on Youtube, I felt a special connection to this game. As I played through each planet I felt a sense of familiarity, yet at the same time my reasons for traveling to them all and the story I experienced were completely changed for the better. Not only did the story feel more organic, it better set up for the overall lore for their universe they would expand upon in later games with references to the Zoni, showing Quark was more dumb than bad, and even directly including Dr. Nefarious into the plot. Even the final level and villain were changed up which makes the game truly stand out as a new experience. This game also benefits from Insomniac's years of trial and error to find a place for this franchise beyond being a simple platformer, so the game is super fun to play with the weapons feeling very good to use and the mechanics being refined. Overall whether you're a returning fan, a new player, or somewhere in the middle like me, this game really does hit all the right buttons and I very much recommend it.… Expand

    Fun, well executed, colorful game. The mechanics is pretty simple, so is shooting - which sometimes leads to a bit hard aiming. Overall, the graphics are great, gameplay very entertaining. I have completed it with all side-missions in around 11-12h.

The gameplay mechanics is a simple hack and slash with a simple progression system just enough for the game's short length. What i dont like is its outdated battle mechanics where in the hit animation to enemy regardless if you are using aPlaying the game in 2020 and just completed it today. Its a fun fun game it has no boring moments. Wonderful graphics, good character and nice story. The gameplay mechanics is a simple hack and slash with a simple progression system just enough for the game's short length. What i dont like is its outdated battle mechanics where in the hit animation to enemy regardless if you are using a flamethrower, a rocket launcher or a gun its all the same making its various weapon option less immersive and exciting. Still good though. I scored it fair 8 because in spite of its shortcomings and its short length, its still a fun game.     Ratchet & Clank looks and plays as well as it ever has. Fans will enjoy the nostalgic journey through familiar planets, while newcomers will appreciate the chaotic and creative weaponry. But for the ninth game in a franchise that built its name on unique weapons, it’s a shame that the arsenal just coasts on fan-favorites. Insomniac played it safe.
