    Censorship on this game is funny, it is +18, but actually they built it for children's.

    they covered women and ripped the cloth out of men's body, for God's sake it is +18 game, normal tv channels are more uncovered than your game.

    Be careful with this game! In Spain they have not doubled the game to Spanish or Castilian. It has many micropayment systems. It is a machine to take your money. If you do not want to take a long time to get something, you pay. Many unnecessary DLC. Better to wait for the full version with patches and dlc included in the disk at a reduced price, while you play it borrowed by a friend. DoBe careful with this game!     1. Women are all covered up like muslims, according to devs "datz more mature and rizpectful", since when more clothes=more respectful? When you go to the beach and see all the women in bikinis, do you disrespect them? No, that's BS... "but but u dont fight in bikiniz", really? what about UFC? Also what about male characters? They show a lot of skin, that double standard is very hypocrite. Just say the truth man, they made the characters unattractive so the landwhales who play the game don't get jealous.

    2. Also devs: "people who critisize the game are not real fans", just because we are fans of a franchise it doesn't mean we have to eat all the excrement you expel from your anus. If you ruin your own franchise we won't support you.

    3. Microtransactions are awful, it looks like a cashgrab mobile game.

    4. Shao Kahn saying "make the Outworld great again", really? now we have politics in MK? "but but itz just a joke" yeah right, just a joke, what a coincidence that the one who says that, is one of the most evil characters ever. It's obvious that they are implying that Trump is as evil as Shao Kahn, and that's also BS.

    5. I haven't seen all endings, but Jax's ending is a joke, first of all, time travel doesn't work like that, second, it's a Wakanda ripoff, really lazy and unoriginal... "you hate it cuz you want blackz to be slavez", no, I don't like slaves, I just don't want politics in my games.

    Trash. This game is full of grind and microtransactions. I traded this game in the day after I bought it and was very disappointed. Utter garbage. DO NOT BUY. It was most likely WB games that forced Netherrealm to turn MK 11 into a grind fest. I don’t think I’ll ever buy a WB published game again, or one from Bethesda or EA, for that matter.

    Funny how all the "professional" reviewers simply ignore all the grinding and microtransactions and pretend like they don't exist. Also, the female characters are boring and the men show a lot of skin (which is fine, but girls should do so as well).

    So far I'm truly loving the game. Sound design and audio atmosphere is great. Game play is good as always and the changes that were made help balance things out in my opinion. Not 100% sure if I truly enjoy Ronda Rousey as Sonya, but yet again it's also a mix of not being used to her voice as Sonya and that she isn't a trained voice actress.

    As a whole the game is amazing and I haven't    So far I'm truly loving the game. Sound design and audio atmosphere is great.     -The game has a lot of cosmetics for every character, however do not rejoice. You must grind the Krypt for every single one of those items, where the prices of chests are laughably high. The item drops are RNG, which makes it an absolutely tedious chore to unlock a single item for a character you want to customize.
    -The entire game must be online at all times, (yes, even the campaign). And when the servers disconnect, you guessed it, you will be losing progress and/or settings. Getting booted offline will cause the game to crash, even when you are not playing online.
    -The game makes an attempt at feeding you SJW garbage such as; virtue signaling about womens' clothing in a game about murdering each other, blatantly trying to force political agendas on you in certain parts of certain endings along with some parts suffering from tasteless writing that just makes you raise your eyebrows.
    -This is a 60 dollars game, yet they have a store with micro-transactions being offered to the player in the menu.
    +The combat is somewhat fun and solid, but the overall horrible decisions from the publisher/developer makes it hard to find the positive features in the game. (because there is hardly any)

    Not even the gameplay can save MK11 from WB's greedy practices and negligent behavior towards the overall quality of their product, this why the final score is a 0.    … Expand

It has robust characterization as well as a number of fun character skins. The gameplay is exciting and the fatalities are mind-blowing and disturbing but it's bogged down with unnecessary grinds and disappointing monetization.     The core of this game deserves a higher score but with the absurd microtransactions it shot itself in the foot. The greed in gaming needs to be addressed but I've seen a lot of complaints here regarding Jax's ending (why the outrage over that?) or the fact that women are fully clothed and to me that's a terrible metric for whether or not the game is good. If seeing half-naked women is your main or only motivator for gaming I'd suggest putting down the controller and trying to build a relationship with real live women instead because that is not on the list of real problems with this games' setup.    … Expand

    I'm so happy MK has turned into a corporate dumpster fire/grindy mobile game that glorifies violence against women but won't allow a little skin being shown. Because that makes total sense. I'm glad all the male characters can show skin though. Thanks Ed for being a sell out and being a Hypocrite.

    Mortal Kombat 11 is a good game, but I have never played it. It will probably get a good user score though, because it isn't on the Xbox One. The grinding and microtransactions and grinding are bad. I'd recommend it but the reviews are bad so i'll go along with it.

    Combat (Kombat?), is utterly clunky, most the time you press buttons, nothing will even happen barring a basic punch/kick. Some combos seem unusually and extremely impossible to pull off. Krushing Blows are horrendously out of context (clearly undisputable lethal moves don't kill opponents). There are tons of fighting nuances, many are extremely twitch-precision to have much chance to achieve. Fatalities in many cases can just look ridiculous and unstylish (this game doesn't take itself seriously nearly enough)
    Short of 2 professionals going at each other with probably at least 20 hours of training each will leave you with matches that don't exhibit any entertaining or exhilarating martial-arts filled fights with oddball moves and some cutscene brutal attacks.
    Expect every local fight from real players you watch to be paused 100 times so players can re-review combos, specials n fatality button controls

    The rest of the game seemingly, in short. Story mode IMO is terrible. Every character is the same. Pompous, emotionless meat heads. Nearly all cutscenes just the next excuse to set up the ensuing fight. Absolute waste of full motion video and my drives GB's (so far in my couple hours play)

    Games all round learning curve seems to be an absolute vertical wall, with the game offering diddly squat upfront assistance to the absolute trillions upon squillions of menu's, options, modes. Much can be figured out with time naturally. But features like character customisations are again, extraordinarily nuanced beyond measure so unnecessarily. Many skins are repeats, characters could have done with far fewer options, offering all round vastly more varied character visual styles. The design here is purely to encourage grind play in the alternate modes. Which lo and behold, the whole games currency features reside online. Expect never ending server updates, server fails resulting in the delay of your rewards etc...

    nigh-on 3 decades of the same game being iterated, and this is the best that could be done. Mortal Kombat 1 was the pinnacle of it's new n unique design, with many improvements that followed shortly after.
    Since those early days, this game has barely evolved an inch with a mish mash of changing ideas that the devs can never get right.

    Mortal Kombat is a brutal violent , martial arts based franchise. This game should cut the corny jokes, focus far more on stylised martial arts for it's story imagery and in game mechanics (vs oddball, clunky hit-patterns and often novelty style attacks).

    Then came the excuse that they were getting “mature”, “realistic”. Ok, mature, when almost every male is shirtless or in loincloth. Realistic, as if professional female fighters and atheltes didn´t wear tops, shorts, leotards... (but that´s okay and really mature, to behead, cut in half and dismember other people).

    Then we see the hypocrisy, their efforts to please SJWs and people who will not evel buy or play the game in detriment of the fans.

    But this ended being the least of the problems...

    I will not lie, the graphics are amazing, the story mode is really cool, but all other aspects of the game are a catastrophe.

    First, NRS and WB games lied to the fans. “No lootboxes” they said. And the Krypt is a giant lootbox with those cursed RNG itens, that everyone hated in Injustice 2. Well, now they are even worse.

    Then they made avery tower absurdly grindy só the players feel almost obligated to do what? Microtransactions! In order to unlock the costumes, fatalities, and all that amazing customization that they announced as being the great differential of the game.

    As if this was not enough, there is the ALWAYS ONLINE requeriment. I can´t even fnish a tower, because the servers always go down at the exact same place of the last battle.

    NRS and WB really did it! They managed to insert stupid politics in the game, and also merge this with the most vile forms of greed.

    It´s a GAME! I play a GAME to have FUN, not to bother with real life matters and politics of any kind!

    After the censoring and lootboxes of Injustice 2, MK 11 was my final change to NRS and WB, and they proved me that they could do really, REALLY, worse.

    Foolme once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me... they say.

    And I swear, as I did with EA, I will now do to NRS and WB. I will never EVER agin buy anything they release. Even if MK 12 comes as the absolute oposite of MK 11, these companies have lost my respect and, more important to them, MY MONEY.    … Expand

    First thing that got to me was the bad roster. Right off the bat it's about 80% the same characters from MKX and a handful from MK9 come back. So why pay $60 just to play the same characters I've already been playing in the last two games for the past 8 years? NRS is just selling you the same game again with a new coat of paint. He missed being in TWO DLC packs for MKX despite fan outcry, and yet again is not included here. But we get Sonya, Kano, Johnny, Kung Lao, et. al. for the 10th+ time. It's such a "safe" and boring roster that there's nothing to make it stand out from the last two games. Ed Boon said at reveal this game would be "packed full of fan favorites" but unless after 25 years you are craving to play more Sonya and Johnny and somehow haven't gotten tired of them then I'm not seeing it.

    Bad roster is one thing, maybe DLC will "fix" it. Tthough if characters like Fujin DO make it as DLC that's almost just as bad since they should have been base roster to make it more diverse and side-line Sonya/Kano/etc to a DLC slot. Plus it just looks like easy milking of the fans since NRS KNOWS Fujin/others are in high demand but purposely didn't include them only to maybe sell later? But it's impossible to ignore the current controversy about how MK has become politicized. I'm not going to dwell on specifics since the news is everywhere, but I'm firm on my stance that video games should be purely a form of entertainment, not a platform to push current political agendas. Start doing that and games just become another tool for propaganda. NRS is based in Chicago, has hired some new outspoken liberal writers to their staff, and it really shows in the final product. I play video games to get away from life's problems, they're an escape from reality, not a place to have political views (liberal OR conservative) shoved in my face, or trying to "guilt" me into feeling a certain way. MK has never been about this kind of thing but this time they have made it way too blatant to simply overlook as coincidence. There is obviously some hostility the staff feels toward the current climate in America but their personal beliefs should be kept out of a work of a fiction and a form of recreation. There are more appropriate mediums for them to express their dislike rather than forcing it in a Mortal freakin' Kombat video game of all places. Very sad to see MK reduced to this. The new character skins are mostly just hundreds of color variations each needing to be unlocked and all end up looking quite similar as the female characters have been ruined by unnecessary and stupid clothing design decisions.

    Unfortunately I have lost all trust in NetherRealm / Warner Bros and will never pre-order another game from these two companies again. This is also the first ever feedback review I have even taken the time to write as my free time is valuable, as I am sure yours is also. It would be nice if a AAA game developer recognized this rather than exploiting it.

    For people who do these games for 20 years or so.They sure have learned nothing from it. Instead they steal game mechanics from other games (SCVI) and prioritize graphics and moneytization .

Everything is locked behind outrageous randomized Krypt Kasino loot boxes. Koins are much harder to grind for.     Special moves, fatalities, gear and consumables (pay to win) ... all behind a grind and / or paywall. Horrible! That's unacceptable for a full priced game. If this was free to play I'd look past this, but seriously, this is horrendous! I've made a big mistake trusting Nether Realms and pre-ordering a key to download, now I can't even refund :( Shameful ! Gaming industry has reached a new low!

Overall, the reduction of meaningful single player content makes me like it less than MKX. Gotta bump my score up a little bit because it pissed off a bunch of racists who have somehow convinced themselves that Jax going back in time and stopping the transatlantic slave trade is racist, or think a game where you can literally pound a guys head through his torso and out his butt is "sjw" somehow? lol, these are the same people complaining about outrage culture btw, lol.… Expand

    - Story mode is pretty decent this time around, it addresses a lot of the flaws with the 9 and X stories.
    - Most of the redesigned characters look fantastic. No, I don't care that the women don't look like whores anymore. Jade's redesign is especially fantastic, but Sonya looks a little off. - The gameplay is as good as it's ever been, smoother than ever and with better pacing    The good:

    - Enough with the modifiers in PvE play already - I don't want to fight someone with 300% health!
    - Too many supplementary modes and "towers" and all this **** you don't need.

    The ugly:
    - Jesus. ****. Christ. They promoted the gear systems and customizables a hell of a lot during the hype period for this game, so to see it be executed with a grindy mess of unfair challenge, ridiculously low rewards, and such a clear cash-grabbing **** you" is the single worst thing about this game.

    Overall: I would've give this game an 8 or a 9 if it weren't for the single, almost replayability-killer that is the gear system. If you were looking forward to that system, which I wasn't, to be fair, you're going to be MASSIVELY disappointed. However, if you're not that kind of player, if you didn't bother buying shirts and titles in Tekken 7, if you really just want a good 2D fighting game with an admittedly great online experience, you can bump the score up two or three whole points. Sure there have been some hits and misses, and MK11 is definitely a hit (pun intended). The combat is rock solid. Slower paced than MKX, but not in a bad way. Along these years I allmost bought i played pretty much all the games and i can say for sure that WB is not doing a great job with one of the most, famous, respected, a fan suporting sagas of all time, and i´m pretty sure the MOST in Fighting games... i mean... everybody knows what a fatality is... and scorpion and Sub-zero are known arround the planet. Now... about MK11 there are many things that bother me, but there are solid possitives too.

    Pros:
    -The way the fights are more technical, and not 20 combo hits that keeps you fliying for eternity

    -The new X-Ray system, like an last breath atack, but they should keep the bone-breaking effects

    -The Kostumization it´s very cool, allows you to actually choose habilities and not schemes or modes for a character, leting you create your kombatant as you wish

    -Graphics and style is a +

    -I actually like the put more clothes on the girls, but they should keep the old skins too, the new skins make them look serious fighters, but some of them like Jade and Kitana really had this Killer charm that it should be kept... just make this sknis unlockables

    -The tutorial is great, best so far... has 2 parts, 1 general and one specefic for each kombatant

    -Fatalities are pretty awesome ... dind´t see all of them, but till now are great

    -Brutalities are very fluid... like an instant fatality... my first was the scorpion uppercut... i allmost **** myself... AWESOMe, i wasn´t even triying to and BOOM... your head is no more...

    -The Story mode its acceptable for a MK... we know its not their top priority

    -Many different towers to unlock items for specific Kombatans, you can even buy 1 for the fighter YOU want

    Cons:
    - Ramdom Krypt chests??? ARE YOU F*King SERIOUS??? thats a STUPIDIEST THING EVER, i was never a fan of the krypt... like... NEVER, but now i Just HATE it beyond levels it shouldnt be possible

    -Grinding... yes... it seems that making the sub-zero i dream of it´s gonna take sooooo much time

    - Online mandatory, thats just plain stupid... you must be online if you want to play online... making this mandatory it´s just nonesense

    -The towers are too hard... pushing you to buy with realmoney. Not cool

    - About the towers.. the fights were the oponent has a tag mate are WAY TOO MUCH, the atacks are allmost unblokable, too fast, and if its a guy like sub-zero is extreamly annoying, special ataks that freeze, low hit, that axe combo... F*ing nonesense

    -Many Kombatants are missing... you are time traveling arroun MK universe and no Meelina, nighwolf, Sektor and Cyrax, ERMAC... REPTILE.. are you SERIOUS??? Those and others...

    -Missing modes, the test your luck... a promisse for DLC? Dick move... Also I loved Chest Kombat, love it with all my Soul and provably it´s not a hard mode to implement, i really wish somebody read this and give the idea to bring it back... Test your Might was cool too.
    PLEASE MAKE CHEST KOMBAT GREAT AGAIN !!!!!!

    Finally, i would say MK 11 it´s not a BAD game, not beyond repair at least, but Netherealm must take notes and respect the fans that put the saga where it is.
    As a consumer I DEMAND more fighters, the CLASSIKS, they never get old, specially if your story mode it´s based in time travel... DUH!
    I DEMAND more MODES, chest Kombat, test your Luck (or as a call it roulette fight, thats the most fun vs mode EVER!), CHEST KOMBAT!!!! (i really loved Chest kombat)
    I would love to have the variety of move set from deadly alliance, 2 fighting styles + weapon, it was VERY AWESOME, specially the stabing bleeding mechanic

    I´m a huge fan of the series and I´m really afraid that these may be a breaking point, decisions must be made, or MK becomes just another pay4play, moneysucking, boring saga... or returns to it´s violent nasty origins that everyone loves.

    MK it´s about that, It´s fun, it´s violent, it´s messy, it´s gore and it´s caotic... Dont Let WARNER put their order, nobody likes that... NOBODY WANTS THAT.

The movements are chunky and unresponsive, you have to pour hours into boring gameplay to grind out enough to not have to pay into their microtransaction crap, and the entire time, they're cramming lame NPC politics down your throat.

Enough with the micro-transactions & increasing the grind to earn things without paying additional cash, you blood-sucking vampires!

    I have seen a large change in other areas as well. NetherRealm is now including one-sided far-left political propaganda into the series, including jabs at a certain politician. I do not live in America, but even I can see how pathetic such a move is. Then the censorship. Since when has Mortal Kombat ever been about censoring things? The studio claims that it is to be more mature & protect women, but they seem hypocritical, given that the men are still scantly clad. Are men not worth protecting too? Finally, we have a racist ending, which out of nowhere changes a character with a personality established over decades & has him correcting what is most definitely a historic wrong, but he fixes it by committing genocide & forming an ethnostate based on race.

    Yes, the gameplay is still there, but you can find the same gameplay, but it is tainted by excessive microtransactions. I cannot support such a blatant display of one-sided political propaganda, hypocritical censorship, promotion of genocide & racism by a design team. Additionally, I have learned that the company has taken to copyright striking the on-line videos which criticise their game, which is truly an immoral thing to do. NetherRealm & Warner Bros. have lost their way & have turned what was once a fun series into their personal pulpit to preach their cult-like political religion.     This game deserves a score of 10 for the story mode alone. What a technological marvel and a feast for your eyes and ears. As a fighting game alone, it is probably the best one I have played since the newer Killer Instinct. All characters are well designed, the netcode is solid and the stages look amazing. I am going to sink many hours into this game.

    This is what the current generation fighting game should look like. I will definitely play for a long time and I hope that the game will be supported for a long time.

    If you enjoyed the SP part (Multiverse) from Injustice 2 ... don't expect the same here. It's far worst along side impossible grinding mechanics with minimum rewards. I'm hopping this will accelerate the release of the complete edition along side with a new grind system. Overall game play and all it doesn't justify the full price.

    How easy it is to spoil experience from the game?-Elementary. In general gameplay is great (PC has problems as usual) but enormous ammount of time needed to get smth is ridiculous, it is not RPG! And what the hell happend to female characters? Looks awful.....it you experience some kind of "tolerance" you could add at least skins for thoose, who are not ill.

    If is the eleventh installment really is the last Mortal Kombat for at least some time, then the developers part with it with dignity. Large number of fighters, great possibilities for editing them and great gameplay make the game one of the best fighter games of recent years. [Issue#295]
