    My opinion is pretty much what everybody else is saying. I grew up with the older Madden's like '08 and I could not be more disappointed with where the Madden franchise has gone. They gave up on their single player fan base. Ya know, the one that gave them so much success in the beginning! I'm done... done thinking "this is the year". I feel like a pre-2016 Cubs fan.

    Same thing as madden 18,19,20 etc. The devs know what we are constantly disappointed in the game and they joke about it. They have shown that they are incapable of making a decent football game. Just terminate the lease with the NFL and let 2k or another company make a nfl game. EA continues to show that they are the worst gaming publisher on the market.

    For the love of all that is holy and pure, EA needs to actually make a NEW GAME instead of just copying and pasting the previous one. It's SO obvious that they are simply copying the code and changing the players, that's basically it. The same issues are always present, meaning they are definitely copying the code and just making minor changes, any programmer or game developer can tell.     The fact that they continue to sell the same game for 60 bucks each and every year without improving anything significant on top of those atrocious microtransactions that literally everyone who doesn't have money hates just shows the greediness of the company selling this crap product.

    Here's an idea: How about we sell Star Wars with a few lines of dialogue changed each year and see if it makes money? On top of that, you have to pay an extra 5 bucks to see the lightsaber fight. Oooh, new CGI characters in the background? It's TOTALLY different!

    This is the EA Madden model. This is literally it.

Face of the franchise was poorly written, glitches through out the cut scenes, the whole last scene didn't have voices. Most of the features that have been requested by customers over the years WERE in the game at some point, but removed along the way, presumably to make way for Ultimate Team, their cash cow.

    Let's face it - this game is the epitome of what EA has been about for the past decade: an abhorrent lack of dedication to their product, complete disregard to their loyal customers (who are asking for the bare minimum from a AAA game and multi-billion dollar company), and a focus on microtransactions. I have no problem purchasing a game like NBA 2K despite their microtransactions, because frankly, the product 2K puts out each year is a million times more refined, with a MyLeague mode with unlimited customization, authentic gameplay with signature styles, and more. Yet - EA cannot even get face scans for a good portion of their players, instead dedicating their time and effort towards creating broken X-Factors that cater to the casual, arcade-y community while ignoring their older, franchise community.    … Expand

    The absolute refusal to harbor community requests along with the horrific animation dominant gameplay, the countless bugs, the neglect on franchise mode, the countless copy and paste throughout. My effort to remedy over the years for this EA product has become beyond tireless. Here’s to an overwhelming success for a non-simulation and success with 2k or whomever else!!

No option to play all madden online Regs. Franchise mode is trash. Cannot save depth charts. Adding The Yard, Supertar KO, and that story mode is a mistake.     Unfortunately, they've chosen to make this game as a symbol of their own greed and laziness. A game plagued by fundamental mechanical issues, arcade-style game mechanics to compensate for the shortcomings of the Frostbite engine, and an absolute lack of innovation.

    One can only hope that the public backlash of #FIXMADDENFRANCHISE is enough to get mouth guards added to next year's installment.    … Expand

Not only is there barely anything different with this game from it previous iteration Madden 20, they keep removing content from previous games and reintroducing it here as if it were "new" but they're now.

    This is an awful game. Same **** mechanics and gameplay issues from four years prior. Glitching through players, lineman not blocking anybody, and and players teleporting just to finish an animation. Not to mention how they added nothing to the franchise mode. **** company **** game.

    This game is horrible. It’s the same exact game as Madden 20 which is also horrible. They haven’t changed the Franchise game mode in years. They have the same bugs and glitches every year and the devs just don’t care enough to fix it. EA doesn’t care though because they have the license from NFL. It’s really sad that this is the only football game on the market.

Admitting higher than a base defense or nickle depending on the players will get trampled and bull dosed over by a formation not in the shotgu. All of the zone blitz plays are pretty much worthless. The only reason you want to call a blitz is if hes in a certain look. 99% of the time if you just come out jn a base defense sucg as a vanilla cover 3, or cover 4 drop show 2 you'll lock anything down. Ridiculous 1 play touchdowns from the wild cat formation are still in the game. For offense: you have to have a scrambking QB or else you can't move the ball. The MUT squads mechanics are still absolutely trash for the receivers. I could go on and on and on but this NEEDS to stop. There MUST be open markets and free market competition!… Expand

The AI has no no play recognition especially when it comes to spamming. if a play gets used 3 time they stop to be able to stop it the difficulty should cost up.     I have purchased every madden since 2003. This game is a disaster features wise. MUT is a boring challenge game. Franchise never improves and has regressed and is a joke. The Yard is not innovative to me it is just to try and compete with 2K. I can't handle being sucked into animation anymore, the game is not fluid. It is just a lack of all-around effort with no additions to the franchise, a ton of glitches, asset errors, spelling errors, and not even getting the right super bowl year. It's like they were dared to make the whole thing in 10 days. Just hot garbage. Save your money.

Animations will ruin it because you truck the o line and he pops back up to block like jesus did after the third day to **** your sack up just so the QB can throw the ball. Running plays the HB does a weird turn as if the game is picking if your getting hit immediately or not. QB scramble is useless as they will fumble 89% of the time. It would appear on my doorstep every morning every time I threw it out. I was convinced it was cursed by a demon. I called a priest but he said it was just a coincidence. But the game kept appearing on my door step. I knew the game was cursed. So I broke out the Chucky doll and thought he could throw out the game. Fight demon with demon. But it turned out he just wanted to kill me so now He locked me in my own basement. He said we are going to have lots of fun so he probably is gonna challenge me in 2k21. I’m better at that game than this game. UPDATE: I beat him and he let me go. I gave him my phone number and he told me he would call me if He needed me. I just made a new friend today.… Expand

    Ridiculous that every year is nothing much more than a roster update. The only work they put into this game was rosters and a few new jerseys and stadiums. It's clear they want you to pay to play MUT and don't give a damn about anything else.

    How EA is able to get away with this year after year is just sad. Franchise mode hasn’t been touched in years. There are so many glitches and the gameplay and game modes are just stale. Gameplay relies heavily on animations. It’s like they didn’t even try. Don’t buy!

    Madden NFL 21 is another blatant recycling of last year’s edition of the „simulation“ of the American football. Sadly, most of the modes remained the same. Gameplay received a few minor tweaks, and in the end it still persists as a cash grab not worth anybody’s time.
