    Same old same old. EA doesn’t care about its Madden game, which shouldn’t be a surprise to really ANYBODY. Really wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt and try playing it, but I can’t anymore. Worst Madden to date, and that’s saying something. Can’t believe I wasted money on a trash heap of a game.

    The gameplay has so many bugs just as it did last year. You still cannot throw a fade route, Franchise mode is LITERALLY the same EXACT thing as last year. I played the game at a friend's house and I could not get over how bad it is, its worse than last year. Don't buy the game, The NFL should drop EA sports

    Another year of copy paste Madden, I’ve been playing Madden games since 99 as a kid and I’ve never seen such a complete and total disregard for fan requests and quality control. I can’t count on both hands how many times I’ve encountered massive bugs and I only have like 10-12 hours recorded playing.     Worst Madden I’ve ever played. Frame rate constantly drops, story mode is lazy and boring, franchise mode sucks, X-factors make players overpowered, tackle animations are awful, and plays feel like you have no control over them sometimes.

I grew up a Ultimate Team lover, starting from scratch and building the best team imaginable was a goal of mine from year to year. Of course this goal was never reached because of the extremely high player costs and being a "pay to win" game, on which I spent no money. Last years Madden game was a train wreck that neverAs a kid who grew up playing madden games, madden 21 disgusts me.     Literally the same game since 2015. Gameplay is scripted and boring. Background characters like the crowd and the props in the yard have textures from 2008. The yard was fun for literally 1 game then it got old very quick. Franchise mode is super shallow and gets boring after 1 season. NFL needs to drop EA from making their games. Just a huge cashgrab.

    To say this game is garbage would be an understatement. Easily the biggest rip off year in and year out, this recycled piece of trash has managed to get less immersive, less playable, and less fun over the last 15 years. EA should be ashamed of the **** cash grab they pull every August. They are disgusting.

    I loved playing madden 17 back in 2016, that is also the last year they really changed anything. Franchise mode has become a joke with no tracking year by year history, no way to see who's retiring really even on your own team, the same customization options since Madden 25, and bugs that makes me think that they're using Fifa's code for the ball physics from how bouncing and glitchy it isI loved playing madden 17 back in 2016, that is also the last year they really changed anything.     I haven't played a Madden since 18 and its the SAME game! I bought it because Face of the Franchise seemed like a fun game mode. Plus they have Nebraska as one of the very few schools that you can choose from. However, its just awful no other words to describe it. I don't buy Madden every single year because i know that from year to year they are generally the same but this is the first iI haven't played a Madden since 18 and its the SAME game!     This game is literally a roster update. The glitches are still here. The ignorance of big modes that make Madden a "simulation" game like Franchise Mode. The animations are bad. They don't care about any type of level of detail to the point where I think they don't even care about this game anymore and just try and make as much money off microtransactions.

    I truly hope after years of EA’s copy and paste $60 roster update of a “football game” that we are now much closer to the reality that the nfl will finally drop them and end the monopoly ea has had over the football video game genre. Do not buy this game. Go buy yourself a nice pair of shoes or grocery shopping.

    The game has been a copy and paste. I’m franchise mode nothing changed but the color scheme. They didn’t even change when you won the Super Bowl in franchise and it still had madden 20. Players ratings are inaccurate. They only change game modes that make them money but some people buy to play franchise simulation football. YOU SHOULD NOT BUY THIS UNFINISHED PRODUCT

Blocking is incompetent. Zone coverage players don’t cover and stand still. This is a disaster. The spelled Seahawks wrong. Multiple typos that should NEVER EVER be the case.     Gameplay is BROKEN, quality of a free mobile game. There’s no improvement at all, I would rather play madden 12 is insanely better than this. This should tell you a lot that if a game almost a decade older is better than the current one. Too bad EA puts no effort into the game at all.     Absolutely zero has been done to improve franchise mode. Nearly every aspect is broken, dated or both. Custom coaches use the same preset Appearance options that have been in the game for 5 years. Scouting is a joke and player progression has next to mother to do with on field performance.

    Recycled animations, gameplay and modes. EA continues to make poor games and refuses to listen to the fans. They didn't update faces of some of the most famous stars in the NFL. The game is buggy and scripted. It really is just updated rosters and uniforms for a handful of teams. I hadn't bought Madden in 10 years before this year. This will likely be my last EA Madden purchase.

    Another sad year, Im seriously frustrated this is what we get. I regret that I supported EA's product. I wont make that mistake again. Buying used till they decide to put real effort into making a game. so many bugs, terrible game play, its just plain not fun and EA continues its release of unfinished games.     * More customization (customize new players looks, customize new teams and stadiums)

    * More Season/Career stats (like a list of all the previous superbowl games, seeing when a player joined a new team and naming what the team is)

    * Better AI clock management - Why would AI call their final timeout with like 14-20seconds left in the game when in IRL the team would call that final timeout with 3-2 seconds and then make a field goal for the win.

    * Slot receiver stats are overpowered - We keep seeing a bunch of mediocre slot wide receivers outperform the Best recievers in the game like Julio Jones or D-HOP every year

    * AI players who are losing the game still don't run out of bounds when they need to, they don't even attempt to run out of bounds.

    *Better Weather system - In IRL, in games, the weather can change sometimes right? lol, in one quarter of the game its cloudy, then next quarter it starts to rain. We need better Mother Nature in Madden.

    *When Quarterback scramble and get hit, they fumble like 80% of the time even when I change their carrying rating to 99. Fix that

    *Better Superbowl Celebration. You guys have had the same old celebration for the past 4-5 years frame by frame that lasts for like 30seconds. Change something up please.

They truly despise their customers and just want to suck as much money out of them with as little effort as possible. With so many hurting right now, it's simply horrific they would attempt to rob people. End the monopoly.

    The same terrible broken game from last year. The only change made is the arcade “Yard” mode which doesn’t follow NFL rules and is more comparable to Arena football. Still the same animations as last year. Don’t buy this game!!! #NFLdropEA #FixFranchisemode

    Some improvements come in the form of general gameplay improvements. But the technical mess of everything around them overshadows anything positive. Franchise mode is dull. FOTF is lifeless.     It’s another step backwards, Madden has been downhill ever since they got an exclusive license. 2k5 is still the best football game ever. I work at a game store and we can barely give this game away.

    got the 100$ version for my little brothers birthday just to realize it’s madden 20 in a madden 21 case. same graphics, legit nothing changed. very sad and bummed out

    Used to be an AVID madden player. Been playing this game for 20 years. This game is the worst it's been. Franchise mode is BORING, Ultimate Team is BORING. NFL DROP EA!!!!

They made a couple fixes but introduced tons of new issues. The menus take forever to navigate it is such a waste of time. They did nothing with franchise. Man coverage isalso still nearly useless. Any outbreaking route gets anyone beat by 5 steps every time. Zone is worse, defenders still dont cover far enough to the sideline on outside zones and any defender no matter their zone rating will just abondon their zone at random. CPU defenders overrun the ball constantly and cant take angles they just run straight at where the ball is on run plays. Fade routes still dont work correctly. Pass interference is still hardly ever called, they even added new animations where the defender blatantly holds the reciever to keep them from going for a jump ball and its not a penalty. QBs in squads will miss passes dispite the game saying the passes are accurate. QBs get rid of the ball way too quickly. Theyll throw dimes 40 yards downfield with a dude draped on their back. Sometimes their arm wont even move and theyll drop it on the hit and its ruled an incomplete pass. Players still fairly often just dont react to a ball thrown right at them. Those are just a few things off the top of my head. The game is a broken unrealistic mess and people only still buy it because of the nfl lisence.… Expand

Everything is so clunky. What happened to smooth gameplay? I don't care for realistic faces, I just want the game to run and to run smooth. Not feel like dial up back when I played diablo 2.

    I play Franchise mode I don't play MUT or Yard. They've made no changes at all for franchise mode so why keep pay 60 bucks for the previous years updated roster SMH. Hopefully NFL wakes up and give other's a chance I got excited that 2k sports might bring back NFL 2k because clearly EA don't care #NFLdropEA

    Madden NFL 21 is another blatant recycling of last year’s edition of the „simulation“ of the American football. Sadly, most of the modes remained the same. Gameplay received a few minor tweaks, and in the end it still persists as a cash grab not worth anybody’s time.

    For NFL diehards, there remains hundreds of gaming hours at your disposal in Madden 21. These same diehards – much like players of EA’s NHL and Sony’s The Show – will be left with the impression they’ve played this game before, however.
