    The NFL needs to stop this exclusive simulation license because at this point, EA just don't care anymore. The laziness is so apparent in making the game, it hurts to see.

For years, Madden NFL has been nothing short of a copy-paste, broken, scripted, cash-grab of a series. The series has been repeatedly stripped of features that made previous Madden games and other football games like 2K8 All-Pro great toThis is more of a response to EA's tone-deaf response to the negative feedback, hashtags, etc. from someone who does not play simulation sports games. For years, Madden NFL has been nothing short of a copy-paste, broken, scripted, cash-grab of a series. The series has been repeatedly stripped of features that made previous Madden games and other football games like 2K8 All-Pro great to many people all the while shoving the mobile game gambling garbage that is Madden Ultimate Team in our faces. Many people have pointed out these glaring issues and much, MUCH more. There is clearly a reason for why hashtags such as #NFLdropEA and #EndMaddenMonopoly have gained so much traction. Statements like "Well, 2 is better than 1!" and "These clowns think you can just snap your fingers and create every one of their requests..." from the developers shows an overwhelming and of tone-deafness and apathy towards gamers and the community that's willing to buy these games year after year. The devs have obviously just stopped giving a f**k and have become complacent with pure, unadulterated, laziness. There is no excuse for this joke of a game and the fact EA and the developers are proud to sell this shows a complete lack of care for the quality of their games. I hope the NFL sees what this franchise really is and drop the exclusive license with EA if not blacklist them entirely from future partnerships.… Expand

How does everyone have the newest player that dropped 15 minutes ago fully powered up? Not one or two people. But everyone? And franchise hasn't been touched in years. How do you have less features in a 2021 video game than the same title 20 years ago? I've bought madden since the very first one on Sega. Not anymore. Done with ea. Its like being a raider fan. So hopeful in the beginning of the year, only to have your dreams crushed. Its saddening. How can you add two new game modes and not even touch a game mode that's been in there since the beginning. I know why, because there's no microtransactions in franchise mode. They want you to spend $60 in hopes of you spending more money on microtransactions . They are capitalizing on the fact that no one else has the licensing to use the NFL and its players. We need competition. Competition pushes for better product. I'm sure there are people that like the yard and Superstar k o, more power to you. But that's not what I wanted. I can't be the only one that feels the same way. The graphics are excellent. But there are too many animations there needs to be some type of physics to the game. How do you have a 26 year old game and still can't throw a correct fade route. The game seems like copy and paste, which is sloppy and a waste of talent from some of the Developers. I'm sure some of the employees are smart and gifted programmers and Developers, in my opinion I believe it's an issue on the corporate level. They need to stop looking at people as numbers. And this Clint Oldenburg Guy saying Two Is Better Than One. Is that what you told your quarterback when you let him get sacked twice. That's ridiculous… Expand

    Bought the game and immediately returned it. How long before EA realizes that people are tired of getting a rinse and repeat game year after year? Believe it or not, there are other game modes than MUT.

    I was going to skip out on going through the hassle to create a meta critic account just to give the game a zero, but when I saw that they gave thousands of free copies away, when I pre ordered the game for 100 dollars with my hard earned money. I was already frustrated but that infuriated me.     The addition to Face of the Franchise was promising at first... Then it kept deleting in entirety after random games... Other than that, Madden 21 is just a $60 roster update. The bugs are horrible, and its impossible for me to believe that this game was actually released. Shame on EA but also shame on us for constantly buying their BS every year.

    This game is literally a copy and paste of madden 20, they haven’t changed franchise in years, face of the franchise basically sucks once you get to the NFL, and they STILL have the SAME super bowl celebration. The only good thing in madden 21 is the yard, it’s different, and that’s what I like, but everything else is just a copy and paste

    Games is filled with glitches, many of which are from the previous games as well. Madden and most other sports games don’t care at all for the quality of their game, it’s all about ULTIMATE TEAM and getting those new PACKS out for people to BUY. That’s sports games in a nutshell.

FOTF is regressing, and MUT appears to be the usual mix of fine for pay to players and a messy slog for anyone else.     1. It is Madden 20 with updated rosters 2. Route running is horrible and the receiver will only be open on slants after you bunch up the linebackers/corners 3. Continuously freezes in gameplay (offline gameplay) 4. Face of the franchise is boring with no freedom of play (story line is not dynamic at all) 5. During Face of    Complete trash! Here is my list of crap that reflects this game:

    Complete waste of $60.. the most glitchy madden i have ever personally played with loading screens freezing multiple times when playing with friends forcing me to close the application and restart.     Recycled game, Essentially the same Madden we've gotten for the past 5 years. Hardly any improvements to Franchise mode or animations over the last 5 years. Performance doesn't effect Draft stock in the Story Mode, so that game mode is pointless and again, a recycled version of years past.

    Borderline fraudulent advertising by EA Sports. Big selling points in their trailer either aren't in the game or are broken features. Same unfixed bugs and glitches since madden 19. Had friends who didn't receive their pre-order bonus content that they paid $100 for and then were told by EA Help that they were SOL. Doesn't come anywhere close to replicating simulation football.

    All I can say is I'm so dissatisfied. I will credit "the yard," as it's fun to play. But there are more glitches than last year, and the graphics are so similar compared to last year.

    This seems more like a blatant cash grab than a real game. Try harder EA. If not for fans, for yourself. Have some pride in your products

    I thought fallout 76 was buggy, but madden NFL 21 makes fallout 76 look like it's a polished game. Do not buy this game, play literally any game that isn't an EA Sports game

    most of the time if someone would ask me what I thought about a bad game I would at least give it a 1. I think releasing a game is in itself impressive. That's not the case today. This game has no right to exsit and is not worth the price. EA is a criminal organisation and Madden 21 is the burglar trying to steal people's money.

    Broken and unpolished. Extreme let down in various areas, especially the face of the franchise mode. To top it off, a cheesy, gimmicky, pay to customize, Yard game mode is just disrespectful.

    EA's greed and laziness incarnate. This is just last year's game with a new number slapped on it. In addition, the game is a buggy mess. That's without even mentioning the egregious microtransactions clearly intended to take advantage of addictive behavior. Maybe wait until Madden NFL 31 when some of the problems might be fixed.

Franchise mode is just a copy and paste. I played a game with the Ravens and the Commentators call Marquise “Hollywood” Brown Antonio Brown. Madden can’t even get that right.     Expensive patch for madden 18. Defensive line got a freshen up but everything else remains the same. Franchise has been neglected and in dire need of reboot.

    Flaming hot garbage. This was supposed to be “next gen” but the only next gen feature was a new wave of micro transactions. Even a revamped (and slightly better) face of the franchise cannot save this horrendous money grab. Stick with madden 20, it’s slightly better.

    EA needs to separate Ultimate Team into a free to play model and have another development team handle the franchise mode as a full priced game.     Madden NFL 21 is another blatant recycling of last year’s edition of the „simulation“ of the American football. Sadly, most of the modes remained the same. Gameplay received a few minor tweaks, and in the end it still persists as a cash grab not worth anybody’s time.

    For NFL diehards, there remains hundreds of gaming hours at your disposal in Madden 21. These same diehards – much like players of EA’s NHL and Sony’s The Show – will be left with the impression they’ve played this game before, however.
