    This is one of the best PlayStation 4 exclusive games I've ever played. Good graphics, the wind mechanic is interesting and very original, good combat system with bloody death animations on enemies, average story, good soundtrack, and the Japanese artstyle in this game is spectacular and original. The only bad thing about this game is that the missions/side quests like Haikus, CuttingThis is one of the best PlayStation 4 exclusive games I've ever played. Good graphics, the wind mechanic is interesting and very original, good combat system with bloody death animations on enemies, average story, good soundtrack, and the Japanese artstyle in this game is spectacular and original. The only bad thing about this game is that the missions/side quests like Haikus, Cutting Bamboo, Mongol Territories, Sashimono banners, Inari Shrines and Duels are repetitive which makes it feel a bit boring. But it is a very good game. I think this game is not made for everyone, I only recommend this game if you like games set in feudal Japan, in the bloody days of the samurai, or recommended if you like RPGs like Assassin's Creed or The Witcher. For a new IP, I think Sucker Punch Productions did a great job. My personal rating: 9.1/10… Expand

    Played this on launch, simply outstanding even with it's flaws. Stealth is smooth and logical. Combat is surprisingly fluid. Then there's the game world, even on a base PS4 it is truly stunning.

    I'd say the only flaw that might be annoying to a lot of players is how "gappy" the story can and could possibly have done with a bit more substance.

    This game is the complete package. I played PS4 version on PS5.
    The combat is extremely tight and responsive with enough variety and options to play to the style that you prefer. You can go and take on entire gangs or you can be strategic and use throwables to isolate and take down. You feel like an absolute badass by the later stages of the game.

    Graphically the game is beautiful and quite varied as you travel around the lush open world.
    On top of the main storyline missions, there are a huge amount of side missions to undertake and they're well designed and not overly repetitive. They also directly link in with the main storyline which I really like.
    The story is well written and the characters are memorable.
    On top of the main and side missions there are other smaller tasks to complete which are very well implemented and really help build the spiritual side of being a samurai.
    I would recommend this game to anyone.

    La versión de PS5 es una maldita pasada, no le pueden sentar mejor los 60 fps. Gráfica y artísticamente de lo mejor del catálogo de PS4 junto a the last of us 2, acompañado de una banda sonora espectacular. Un imprescindible.

    From the beautiful open world to the combat this is a samurai game which does it right, the combat isn’t to hard and can be challenging at times which allows the game to never seem to be too boring or easy. The landscape of this game is also amazing which resulted in me spending hours in photo mode.     It's amazing how atmospheric this game is, while not compromising anything.
    Good story with movie-quality cut-scenes.
    Fun mechanics with a reasonable learning curve.
    Simply amazing.
    I'm not giving it a 10 because the game lacks historical & geographical accuracy. I'm especially appalled at how the game completely disregards Tsushima's actual geography.

    I love this game. Exploring was really fun. And the graphics are very beautiful and there’s an breathtaking environment. Combat is like a Morris milliliters of game. The horse riding is very smooth. I also really enjoyed the story it felt like a high budget TV show and I would recommend it to anyone or the age of five

    This is a great game and I had a lot of fun playing with it. The story was good but I was disappointed with how linear the story was. However, I would recommend this game.

He also uses it in the most absurd situations to the point where his character feels very cartoonish, If it wasn't for the pure love for his nephew, he would have been a very boring character for me. I also felt that some character facial performances didn't come off as good due to the reduction in graphics quality, especially after they showed really good footage before the quality went down, but it made for smoother gameplay, so I'm not as fussed about it. Sucker Punch, I just have to say you have crafted an excellent game, one of Quality, good Performance and Honour. and    Ghost of Tsushima is a Dream game created by developers that clearly love Japanese culture, Samurais and the old Samurai and Kurosawa films.

    I LOVE SAMURAIS, This game is the best Samurai game to exist in the history of gaming, you can really feel the vibe everywhere.

    Sucker Punch, I just have to say you have crafted an excellent game, one of Quality, good Performance and Honour. and to be honest, you did something that Ubisoft for a long time could not do, and still, to this day, they have not done it.

    If you have a PS4, or PS5 or are just a fan of Japanese Samurai and culture, Buy the game and Play it ASAP.

    Let me Break down this game in detail.

    GRAPHICS: 10/10
    Insanely beautiful graphics and use of environmental effects and locations, from the wind to the clouds to the sounds, to the grass, trees everything in this world feels alive, calm, and beautiful.

    COMBAT: 10/10
    Satisfying, clean, elegant, and sometimes brutal.

    CHARACTERS: 9/10
    Memorable, used with great care, and well attuned to the plot and story.

    STORY: 9/10
    It is one about change, sacrifice, and Honor, Jin Sekai is mostly a subtle character but you feel this connection, a struggle that he fights internally.

    HONOUR: A Jin Sekai/10
    This game oozes Japanese culture, I love it.

    POLISH AND PERFORMANCE: 10/10
    I have never seen in my life how an open-world game of this size can load so quickly, especially on a PS4, Some dev magic was used and I like it a lot.

    Knowing Sony, they will want a sequel, I want a sequel, and the fans want a Sequel. I can only imagine what that looks like with the Power of the PS5. this game is a 9/10, but why you may ask if I'm gushing so much about it. It's the Quality of some cutscenes, they are not cutscenes at all they are just camera pans, combined with the Story that drags a little and the way the end boss fight was done it loses a point.
    Other than everything else is amazing, this is the Best Japanese Assassins Creed Game I've ever played.    … Expand

Most importantly, the sword-fighting feels so dynamic and realistic - as if you were fighting your self. Even though the game becomes repetitive after a while (the missions all revolve around killing mongols), you never grow tired of the battles.     best samurai game out there! Satisfying, addictive and brutal gameplay, not to mention the great story! Too bad it's a PS4 exclusive. I saw many videos of bugs but playing on my cousin's PS4 I barely had bugs that disturbed my experience in the game

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First of all I got to say this is probably my favorite open world game that has ever been developed by sucker Punch productions. Although the flaws in this game makes me feel that this doesn't deserve to be called a masterpiece. I'd like the story of the game. I like the open world design and the beautiful visuals of the game. I think the combat is fun and feels snappy and responsive when slicing guys up with your katana. Graphics I feel like could have been better. I feel like the environments look better than the actual in-game character models. The main character is pretty bland and not charismatic at all but there's a story reason purpose for that. I think the two biggest flaws in terms of gameplay is the stealth and the combat doesn't evolve in any major ways and enemies don't get any tougher. Fact that's the biggest problem overall with the gameplay. The fact that overall the game is incredibly easy even if you're playing on hard difficulty. During stealth sections it's even becomes more prevalent. The guards have absolutely no peripheral vision and and they don't hear your footsteps if you're not walking slowly while crouching. When you get caught and if you quickly kill the guard who sounds the alarm everybody will just go back to normal like nothing happened they don't stay panicked and are not searching for you the whole time once they know someone is there. I feel like I need to explain this to everyone because the main story is about a samurai who has to give up his samurai code and start killing enemies behind their backs which is against the samurai's way and slowly become the Japan's first ever ninja or aka the ghost. The main character Jin Saki has to learn to give up his samurai lifestyle to do whatever it takes to defeat an enemy who does not respect the samurai ways and traditions. The Game narrative basically ask this question: do we obey our leaders without questioning them or without doubts if their way can defeat the enemy who does not care about playing fair and only cares about playing dirty and doing whatever they can to win. I still think this is a good game but I think it's mixed at best when you combine the two main gameplay issues it's hard for me to argue that if this is a masterpiece or not.… Expand

    Сюжет - вполне неплохо, но не увау. По началу интригующе, потом по хуже, в конце прям кульминация, мое почтение. Сюжет прямо линейный, только в конце есть выбор, и признаюсь, я в конце минуты 3 просто смотрел на экран и думал что сделать, очень хорошо. Сюжет - 7/10
    Раскрытие главных персонажей - это как бы побочные задачи, но как бы нет, раскрыли очень хорошо 10/10
    Обычные побочные задачи - унылое, постное, неинтересное, с раскрытием главных героев несравненно. Было пару тройку интересных, поэтому 3/10
    Донатная система - её нет. Кто-то из юбимофт сейчас потерял дар речи, как нет доната? В игре много красивых скинов. Вы их получаете за цветочки найденные в открытом мире. Находишь цветочки и меняешь их на скины у торговцев, которые также находятся в открытом мире. Вообще нет доната, никакого, ни визуального, ни тем более гейплейного, можно было добавить море доната и это не сделали, дав игрокам возможность получить все за свой труд 10/10
    Мне не понравились кат сцены, на них сэкономили, но на этом можно было сэкономить 3/10
    Итог - игра классная, однозначно может называть себя ААА проектом. Ставлю 8 баллов за побочные задания, кат сцены и дальность прорисовки.    … Expand

    Ghost of Tsushima is the perfect example why an average gamer should not look into critics review to buy a game. compared to games like Elden Ring, Ghost of Tsushima is a head and shoulder above in every aspect of the game. There is a story, fun fights and difficulty settings that is suitable for everyone. The haptic feedback on PS5 is amazing even though this game was designed for previous gen.

I'm playing the directors cut on ps5 and if I didn't have a ps5 I think I'd buy one just to play this.

    Однозначно могу сказать что это очень очень хороший продукт, давно таких не видел.
    Из плюсов: сюжет, картинка, механика. Их минусов: однотипные враги, скудный выбор оружия и пожалуй линейность, ваш выбор реально не влияет на геймлей.     Story is very good. Gameplay and combat mechanics are phenomenal. It's designed with great idea behind it - enemies deal more damage, but so does Jin. On this difficulty all fights make you feel like a real badass samurai. One parry, three quick strikes and most of your enemies are on the ground, and the rest is frightened, you can see this brief moment of hesitation in your enemies and this feels electrifying (I hardly ever used stealth). I cannot expres how much I love fighting in this game, but one more thing that I admire as much as fighting system is the cinematic roots of the game.
    All of Tsushima looks amazing, and the fact that the wind guides player and interface is minimalistic makes you look around and just enjoy the landscapes and landmarks. One of the most beautiful games I've ever play, because the artistic vision behind this title is so clear and consistent. When I was playing this game I became sure that great artstyle is so much better than ultra-realistic presentation - very reminiscent of Dishonored, which is one of my favorite games ever because it had so much thought behind every audiovisual aspect of the game. (Also all of the players remember how great was the photo mode, easily the best I have seen in video game)
    And when it came to audio, the pathetic compositions are exactly what this game needed!
    Overall: The Ghost of Tsushima is great, one of my favorite games of all time, make yourself a favor and play it if you haven't already done it!    … Expand

    My good god. What a production. I just finished the director's cut on japanese dubs with english subs. It was a frenetic run. A sequel (without ruining the base) would be nice.

Most games either have a great story but lack gameplay or are great games with a very basic and frankly boring story. Ghost of Tsushima combines both in such a way that you feel the story.     This one of my favorite games of all time with such a cool story and great combat. It is just another great game for Sucker Punch that has a really intriguing gameplay mechanics. This was definitely my game of the year for 2020. I really hope to see a sequel soon.

    One word: masterpiece. The best thing for me is the world design. Even though the map is pretty big everything is absolutely beautiful. The combat, oh man the combat, it´s so satisfying. The story gets only better within the progress of the game. There are many dramatically made plot twists and I really fell into the story of the game quickly.

    Great story, Amazing visuals and all around really fun combat. There is one BIG problem and that is the camera is very mean and when I do the hot springs as Jin I only get to see his butt and can't turn the camera to see his weeny.

    5. Music and sound - music is good but you get only several classic Japanese tracks. Voice acting is bad - you always feel that the voice is from other room not from the place where characters speak.

    Overall this game had huge potential to be a masterpiece but it needs much improvement to become one. It's a shame Sucker Punch did not go further with their ambition.    … Expand

Customisation is virtually endless as you can look freaking dope in this game. The graphics are a treat to see and it baffles me that i was playing on a ps4 slim given how amazing the graphics were. With that said the game did not cheap out on the gameplay and its really good. However the sidequests can feel very tiring to do sometimes and the endless horse rides are abit strange. I dont like how some character models are presented but hey, still a pretty solid game with little bugs. Good experience overall with an engaging story.… Expand

    Ghost of Tsushima is a flawed, but fun, game. While the gameplay itself was solid, and the story was decent, I definitely expected a lot more from Sony’s final PlayStation 4 exclusive. It had enough to keep me hooked, but lacked the polish we’ve all grown to love from a Sony first party game.

    Ultimately, it feels like the game could have benefited from a smaller scope or a more linear structure. Focus on the duels could have created a more engrossing product, especially if it honed in on the narrative for a more concise and cinematic experience. But as it stands, Ghost of Tsushima is another AAA open world title and doesn’t seek to define itself as anything other than that.
