    Undoubtedly the best Final Fantasy game today.

    It offers everything you would expect from a great jrpg action game. Fast and fun gameplay, an intriguing and interesting story, and a beautiful and vast world to visit.

    A paradise for lovers of the genre.

    This is my first Final Fantasy game and I loved it. The story was sometimes a bit confusing but I still loved the story. The combat is on point and the Boss fights are amazing! Before I played this game I always thought that Final Fantasy was some kind of "Weeb Game" but I was absolutely wrong! I definitely recommend this game to everyone.

    The best thing about this game is the epic scenarios, music, sound design, graphics (for its time), and the BEAUTIFUL ANIMATIONS! The combat is where this game lacks a lot in but for me it wasn't much of a hassle and it didn't tilt me off the planet ever which is a plus for me. It can be fun at times but its never going to be the REASON why I love playing this game.     The fast-paced action gameplay full of attacking approaches is really fun to play, including projections, unique parries, chain attacks, chain combos, etc ...
    The protagonists are all charismatic and unique in their own way, just like the villain Ardyn. One of the best villains to have appeared in the Final Fantasy series. The    Exceptional game, and extraordinary Final Fantasy.

    The landscapes are breathtaking, the soundtrack is sublime, the graphics are top notch, and the Lore is simply epic.
    I loved, in particular, the exploration of the world of Eos riding the Chocobo, in search of the numerous and incredible dungeons hidden in the game map.

    A surprising and really cool action game to play.
    The best aspect of the open world games are certainly the exploration aspect, and in this Final Fantasy XV wins.
    I've also really liked the incredible work done with the battle system, dynamic and fun to play.
    A true surprising game, that he end up to becomes one of my favorite open world games ever played.

But the story is so badly told because of the struggles in the development of the game. Some elements appear just one time or some characters just desapear from the story.     Freedom, for explore a beautiful and gorgeous world, with beautiful dungeon and powerful enemies.

    It's like The Witcher 3 of the Final Fantasy games. A wonderful and majestic world, with incredible monsters, beautiful city's, and an epic story. I was fascinated by the long journey of this Final Fantasy XV world, culminating with the an epic battle for become the Last King of Lucis.    I think that this is, essentially, the biggest and surely greatest Final Fantasy game ever made.

    - The world and town/rest spot NPCs feel like they don't fit the Final Fantasy universe, they are very KKona, and look incredibly generic - Combat is very hard to see, too much FX, can't properly see enemy moves to counter no matter which camera options I use, enemy attacks are not choreographed well, and they're    This is the Sonic '06 of Final Fantasy games, and I'll list why:

    - Magic system is horrible, no healing, status spells, feels even worse than FF8 drawing spots, much more sparse, and aiming magic feels bad

    - Open world is mostly void of anything of value, and a complete waste of time

    - Character's movements when they are talking look incredibly awkward

    - Ignis and Prompto are some of the worst and most annoying teammates ever

    - Only get gil from hunts, and hunts feel much worse than FF12 hunts do (could be different in future chapters)

    - Caves and tombs are completely out in the open, not in some faraway, beautiful, mystical area with puzzle(s) and great loot like in other Final Fantasies, so it just feels off, like they just put them in random, unfit places

    - Bad dialogue half the time, makes you roll your eyes

    - Way too much boring fetch-quests are thrown at you

    - Blocking system is abysmal, you have to be incredibly precise, so it just feels like it doesn't work sometimes despite me holding block and having MP

    - Lack of its own memorable music, which is sad because that is one of the main things I look forward to in a Final Fantasy game

    - Royal arms feel bad to use, since they take away health as you use them, but you want to have them assigned to shortcuts to get the stat benefits from them so you're left with 1-2 weapons to deal with the enemies, but each enemy has different weapon weaknesses so, ugh...

    - Ascension is generally worse than previous game's skill trees/license board/etc, just feels like a bunch of things jumbled together a lot of them useless, or of little value.

    - Characters react to negative story situations in a really unnatural way

    - There is judder on 'High' graphics mode, even on PS5, and the game looks bad on 'Lite'

    - You have to watch or buy DLC to get proper introductions to your teammates but, even then, their stories and how their connected to Noctis are bad

    - You have to watch Heavensward movie to get a proper explanation of what happens in the beginning of the game, which I did when it came out, I also bought the game and season pass, but could never get into it no matter how many times I tried over the years because the first few chapters always made me quit the game, now I've gotten further on PS5 because the load times are much better and performance is improved.

    * Keep in mind I stopped at chapter 7, I think FF7 to even 13-2 are much better than this game, and I make the comparison to Sonic '06 because this game just feels like a jumble of things that don't fit together.

    I went over all the negatives, so here's the positives:

    - Monsters look good

    - Summons, they feel good to use and look great

    - Chocobos

    - Ardyn (at least so far) but even his charms couldn't keep me playing    … Expand

    This game has flaws, but I think everything in this game is made with so much heart. At the beginning I found the Noctis a bit annoying, but after the long journey with him and the fellows, he became my favorite character. I think the longer you play this game, the more you'll be touched by the story.

It was also a bit of a sausage fest for most of the beginging of the game. Eventually combat gels and you get a cute girl along for the ride and the next thing your imersed in a buetifull relaxing and dangerous world.. They have nailed the road trip theme andIt took me a while to come around with this game as its full to the brim with origional and inovation concepts and gameplay systems.     The proposal of the game is good, but the execution is not satisfactory. The game is very repetitive and there are no differences between the cars although it is a free game it could be better worked with more game modes. Overall it is a game that you will play once with friends and then forget about it.

    The Regalia is more of a nuisance than anything else. Driving is boring, and cumbersome. Noctis is a enjoyable character, and his supporting cast is decent. But fairly forgettable.

    All in all, FF XV is solid but left me yearning for FF of old. If FF continues in this hack and slash direction, I'll sadly have to leave the franchise for good    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Final Fantasy XV is a game published on 29 November 2016 by square enix company. This game called to be one of the best games in 2016. However, it’s still have disadvantage things like bugs and uncomplete story.
    First start with Final Fantasy XV’s false. Uncomplete story. If anyone who want to know the whole story of Final Fantasy XV, he or she must watch animation “Final Fantasy XV : brotherhood” also with movie “Final Fantasy XV : kingsglaive” but it’s still shorter compare with previous episode (about 24 hours). Bugs, Final Fantasy XV have many bugs also with long load game time with cause from limitation of budgets and times. (Many people think that this game has use 10 years to develop but the true is it’s use only 3 years instead).
    But, in disadvantage things, Final Fantasy XV still have more good part like great character design for both male and female character designs, Real time battle which allowed player to controlled up to 4 characters at the same time. Open world, player can control the character to move other from the main story to farming and boss hunting to get better equipment which has level from very easy to very hard. Also, with another mode of gameplay like take a photo, cooking food and fishing.
    Finally, even Final Fantasy XV still have disadvantage things, but the good part is more. So, many gamers and fans of this game are supposed that Final Fantasy XV is one of the best games in 2016.    … Expand

    The story is incomplete and lazy. From the start, the game tries to make you care about Noctis and his fiancee and their wedding. But there is no context, no backstory (I'm not talking about all the external materials like the comics, novels, anime and Kingsglaive movie. Because I paid for a full price for a game, if I have to also consume all the external media to fully understand the story, F you). I never felt for both even though I really liked Luna as a character. Later in the game, the story is all over the place, and everything happens outside of your acknowledgement, you are just told that something happened but you are never involved, so how should I as a player care for any outcome?

    The combat is the only positive thing I have to say about the game. It is really fun and engaging and there are so many different styles you can try.

    Then the dungeons, the f-ing dungeons. Whoever designed those dungeons are basically saying "F you" while laughing their arse off. Those dungeon designs are some of the worst I've ever expüerienced in all the video games I've played. They are dull, lazy, repetitive and atrocious:
    - there are so many long and linear corridors, they are so long, why? long and without anything happening, they just feel like fillers to make the dungeon longer and your backtracking process more boring
    - there is no shortcut to the sealed door dungeons, so you have to go through the normal dungeon all the way, why?
    - Noctis's movement is so imprecise, he always moves a few steps after he jumps, this makes some platforming sections even more atrocious. Did the devs already test the game? If so, then they designed this piece of **** on purpose. So much time wasted just because Noctis couldn't land on the spot he was supposed to and he falls.

    I could go on for another 5k words but I don't want to waste any more of my time on this game. it's a 6. F the dungeons.    … Expand

    As a fan of final fantasy, until today only FFVII AND FFXV have had my rating of 10. FFXV is one of the best games of the ps4 generation, the gameplay, graphics, music are great, what more can I say .. .. you have to play it.

    I like to play with it every now and then, it's not a bad pastime. pity that the graphics pulled up on ps5, you can not go beyond 30 frames per second. Every now and then it turns into boring.

Some parts are really epic espically when it plays the real boss theme and your fighting a boss but everything else was just average and couldev been much better. I don’t really like the 4 male characters only. Open world was mostly empty with not much to do.     This game is a mess. It has lot's of fun elements, but on the other side, it is choked by game design disturbances and by a story that was obviously hacked apart to generate more money via DLCs.

    One of the questionable decisions was giving the player obvious cheat equipment right from the start. This is even worse with the Royal Edition.     One of the questionable decisions was giving the player obvious cheat equipment right from the start. This is even worse with the Royal Edition. Those items can not be removed and permanently clog your inventory. The menus are no fun to navigate and the worst is, you are expected to utilize something like 8 different weapon and 4 magic categories and only have 4 usable slots available. So adapting to different encounters requires pausing the game and navigating through cumbersome menu screens. And then the gind ... seriously, at one point you would be expected to grind something like 24 hours, for 2 items you don't need, by WATCHING, not playing, a totally mind numbing betting "game" over and over ...

    Graphically it's nice, the warping in fights and generally the first 2/3 of the game offer many missions and challenges. Especially the dungeons are full of nice little dialogues. But 2 of your 3 "friends" have an annoying Know_it_all attitude, wheres the main protagonist hardly does anything else then sulk.

    The story is plain confusing and does not make much sense and character development hardly exists. Not even the main atagonist is really explained. A lot of this is because of the ripped content. It's ok for the open world part, but against the end it really spirales down into a depressing and quite unsatisfying end. And then there is the issue of total overleveling and that just by daring to do a few side missions. Ofcourse I did all I could before the end. In result, for the last third of the game I was about at double the levels I should have been ... nihilating any kind of challenge in an already far to easy game.

    I liked the game for many hours, but the end chapters, due to the destroyed story, just killed it for me.    … Expand

Which is sad, cause it had a lot of potential. Only if they kept the original story of FF Versus XIII, that would’ve been awesome. Second, is the camera controls during battle. its pretty clunkyPretty good game.     Overall very disappointing and felt clunky and disjointed. Had a ton of potential but fell on its face, felt rushed and unfinished. Fighting mechanics and camera were awful. Complete lack of gear and no Ultima weapons. I hope they redeem the franchise in 16....

    This game was my introduction to the final fantasy series and i have been a long fan of it ever since. In almost all of them you gang up with your companions, avenge someone dear to you and meanwhile save the whole damn planet with cool swords and magic. final fantasy xv continues this tradition and also tells a good story. the only downside some people might be upset about is that theThis game was my introduction to the final fantasy series and i have been a long fan of it ever since. In almost all of them you gang up with your companions, avenge someone dear to you and meanwhile save the whole damn planet with cool swords and magic. final fantasy xv continues this tradition and also tells a good story. the only downside some people might be upset about is that the story progresses rather slow. you dont fully get into it until chapter 9. but if you think you wont be bothered by that, than i absolutely recommend it.… Expand

    An exceptional game with well-developed main characters and the relation between them. The combat is fun and the story is well-told, even if it may feel a bit rushed at some point. You must play the DLCs, they complete the main story.

    Having to watch the movie to understand the beginning already was a bad sign. The story is mehh lots of stuff missing even after playing the DLC's and royal edition with an extra story. All this the fact Tetsuya Nomura was pretty bad and that Square Enix made us wait a decade for this.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Final Fantasy 15 was a game I picked up via the PlayStation Now service. It also boasts the distinction that it is the first of the long-running series of games that have actually completed.

    The story itself is fairly basic. It is about a soon-to-be king named Noctis going on an adventure with three of his best friends on a worldwide adventure. Along the way, you will face everything from foot soldiers to a mountain size monster. The world is vast and the number of things to do and people to see is nearly as big as the world itself is. You could easily clock in over 50-100 hours if you wanted to and still have things to do.

    You can fish, hunt down monsters for bounties, play a few games, and order food. It also has a great ending to the game's story. One of the best of any game I have ever beaten.

    Next to Final Fantasy 10 this may be one of the best games in its lineup.    … Expand

    The game-play is what really won me over with this one. The adventuring and exploration is great, full of monsters to kill and treasures to harvest! The new action based combat is a lot of fun with a great feel to it. Of course, just like most, the biggest criticism is the magic. Mostly because of the friendly fire that all spells can cause. And like most comments, it's not a big deal because you can breeze through the game without using a single spell.

    I could go on and on about the vast amount of content that is on offer, such as the fishing and the cooking and the chocobos etc etc. But what I must highlight is the opening statement before the title screen “A Final Fantasy for old fans and newcomers”. This FF really does strike a great balance to please the wider audience in the best way.    … Expand

    Ok, so starting out this game shows massive promise. Amazing party dynamic, great exploration, good gameplay. It's not until you find out that your kingdom was invaded by the enemy does this game go down the drain. I'm rating this a 2 instead of a 0 because of what i listed above (and also the ending is dope). But, here's the thing, without DLC this game is unplayable. Plot holes everywhere you can imagine, it's unreal how many there are. So many characters introduced only for it to go nowhere. With DLC, it's better but i still have trouble playing it. The worst part about this game is the female MC. WHy does she exist? i don't understand. I don't care who she is, what she does, and her death i could care less about. She was there and then not anymore. You know the MC loves her, but you don't know WHY. i've never played a game where the female love interest is as flat as a piece of paper, because her screentime spans around 10 minutes. UP the movie made me cry with the death of the female MC without any words being said. And yet this game can't do that? Why didn't they expand the story to make her a playable character? At the very least make us care about her. But no, she dies, the MC is distraught, and at the end of the game you see them in heaven married but you don't give a f***. Yes, the death of Noctis is sad, i get it. It's emotional. But jesus christ, fill the plot holes, make the female MC more likeable, and please make the hunt system better, it's like FFXII but on steroids and meth. FFXII system was long but it was good with equipment that was useful, in this game you can just use Star of the Rogue and vaporize every boss in the game.    … Expand

Gameplay is somewhat fun but you never really understand how to play as the game does poorly at teaching you. It's not really open world .. it's a quasi-open world game

    >Historia no geral muito boa, isso quando você pode jogar as 4 dlc. Mas mesmo se jogar só a campanha principal, dará pra entender quase tudo.
    > o Gameplay é oito ou oitenta, no início você fica empolgado por essa novidade na franquia, é bem mais dinâmico e requer mais reflexos, porém depois de algumas dezenas de horas, pode ficar bem maçante.
    > Trilha sonora. Esse foi o ponto alto pra mim, sempre um jogo me vende pela trilha sonora, e esse foi umas das melhores que ouvi, principalmente por eu estar órfão desde que zerei Bloodborne. Diferente de muitas outras, essa trilha ajuda a se conectar a história profundamente, principalmente pela faixa Somnus que se encaixa perfeitamente no capítulo final e toda jornada que levou até ali. Pontos Negativos:
    > Apesar de ter um mundo extremamente grande e muito bonito, comente o mesmo erro de uma tal Ubisoft, onde os mundos são extremamente vazios(mortos), por mais que tenha monstros, missões, atividades e etc.. não passa a sensação que você em um mundo orgânico como: the witcher, Skyrim, RDR2 ou até Horizon zero dawn(que não acho grande coisa). > missões secundárias ridículas: você é o rei dos reis, tem poderes de deuses, mas tem missões que pede pra você: tirar fotos, pegar temperos, concertar carros, buscar e levar encomendas, eu sei que é o padrão dos JRPG, mas poderiam ter dado uma diversificada ou melhorado a história dessas missões como tantos outros rpg fazem. > A falta de desenvolvimento de personagens tão interessantes. Eles são apresentando na trama, você simpatiza com eles e depois simplesmente somem: Ravus, Cor Leonis e Aranea. > falta de diversidades nas Dungeons, onde são 12, mas metade são iguais, principalmente na secretas. > Falta de desafio, o jogo é extremamente fácil, principalmente depois que você consegue o anel(mas você não é obrigado a usar.) > Magias, o lance de praticamente só ter 4 tipos de magia de ataque é ridículo, principalmente quando você é que cria elas, que não faz nenhum sentido. > Apesar dos summons serem bem incríveis e colossais, a mecânica de usar ele é extremamente complicada e há poucos, só pode usar 4(5 se fizer uma missão secundária), tanto que zerei, platinei e só consegui usar 3(fora da história principal). .
    Mesmo com tantos pontos Negativos, na balança o saldo fica bem positivo. É engraçado que me liguei muito mais a história de ter zerado e escutado a trilha sonora, elas ajudaram a conectar muito em toda a lore principalmente as faixas: Standy by me(a letra se encaixa perfeitamente com a situação daquele grupo), Somnus, Hellfire(perfeita) Apocalypsis Noctis(por mais que as batalhas contra os deuses sejam fáceis, não há como não ficar empolgado com ela).    … Expand

    My first foray into Final Fantasy and I very nearly turned it off and uninstalled after the first few sessions. My opinion did eventually change and now I actually think it was a game worthy of my time (a lot of time if you’re considering the platinum). I stuck with it though as if Covid-19 delivered anything it delivered time and most if not all of my concerns were at least somewhat turned around. The narrative does eventually take you to more interesting places thematically, I found myself almost liking spending time with the 4 main characters and listening to their interactions. The combat is far from perfect but I did start to gain a better understanding of it and it’s ‘okay’. The various tunes get stuck in your head when you’re not playing and the next time you hear them in-game they strike a chord. And the gameplay-loop... it’s there... and it ain’t bad once you understand it.

    Decent package altogether and now I’ll play another Final Fantasy game (probably VII Remake) without any reservations.

    edit. So I did go on to earn the Platinum and the game (& characters) continued to grow on me. I actually ended up really enjoying it... and the fight against the super boss 'Omega' will live with me for many a year.    … Expand

Repetitive side quest ask you to revisit the dungeon to kill the same monster again which you already did the job during the main storyline. The combat is fast paced and fun, but the auto attack spam button to win mechanics and magic system is pretty **** And lots of unnecessary long dungeon which try to extend the gameplay hours as long as possible to fake the game worth its extremely long development time of 10 years. No character development for supporting character in the story like Cor, Aranea, Luna and even survivors of Lucis etc, what a waste for good character design in visual. After finished the game and watched the prequel movie Kingsglaive, and realized they cut pretty much content that contains much more potential and it's the video editing and music faked the sense of epic they shown in the trailer. Which is the reason why we so hype for this long awaited Final Fantasy game. Square Enix nowadays just can't deliver their promise, a perfect example of what you see and what you actually get in the negative side, just like FFVII Remake which they promised a Remake and at the end it is a sequel.… Expand

    The world itself was gorgeous and when you first go to Altissia, the view is nothing less than sublime. The orchestral scores and piano pieces, as well as the fantastic cover of 'Stand by Me' by Florence + The Machine from Ben E. King's classic, was great too.
    While the characters outside of Noctis and Ardyn could do with some fleshing out, the intriguing destiny the two shares helped me to overlook the weaker side characters. The story explores the prophecy of Noctis and while there are moments when it is incoherent, the simple grandeur of the tale made me love XV.

    They say that your first Final Fantasy is always your best, and while I've still got more Final Fantasies to explore, I can confidently say that XV will always be a special one for me, as it was my definitive gaming experience.    … Expand

    le coté road trip fut une très bonne idée, dommage que nous ne puissions pas sortir des sentiers battu avec le véhicule (il fallut attendre des mises a jour plus d'un an après la sortie du jeu) pour moi ce final fantasy est surement le moins bon auquel j'ai joué, le scénario et la narration sont haché, certains personnage secondaires sont inutiles, sortir un jeu aussi incomplet a sa sortie et en plus osez sortir des dlc narratifs pour nous expliqué l’absence de certains perso dans la version vanilla du jeu est incompréhensible.

    j'ai pas essayé l’édition royal (que je tenterais un jour) et on ait face a un jeu qui est sorti trop tôt, j'ai quand même passé un bon moment sur ce jeu, car le gameplay est assez solide dans l'ensemble ( je n'ai pas évoque les invocations qui pop au hasard dans le combat, nous n'avons aucun contrôle sur eux, plus la magie qui est inutile)

    assez déçu de ce final fantasy dans l'ensemble, même si tout n'est pas a jeté, quand n voit l'univers du jeu, on se dit qu'il y avait moyen de faire mieux.    … Expand

I heard alot of bad things about this game but when i lay my eyes on the game it was pure happiness the world is beautiful the charters are awesome and their funny banters a good character development. the combat is the best i seen in the series chaotic and fun.     This is one of the rarest case where i am unable to finish a game. not because i'm bad because i don't have the motivation to continue playing. It was the case it was cheap so i bought it. the game looks good and the character interactions is what kept me going . However Magic and summoning are bad.

    i love the fact that you need to farm crystals to cast magic and that when you cast it you should be aware not to affect yourself or your teammates however, every time you need to craft your magic and there's limited amount you can use before crafting new ones. Summons are just completely random, at times a cut scene pf the summon will be activated and u get the damage. Normal game play is also boring. Parrying doesn't work always.it says press O but its hold and there's still a case it wont work. Noctus has a unique playing style but its gets boring and annoying , the fact that you use a blade and then forced to change and get a new one its annoying . Fishing camping and driving are there/ optional BUT only re fun in the beginning. Also Never Ever adventure during the night otherwise you re dead
    Its fair to say if you get through it then you will enjoy it , for me the moments of Oh god not again were so often that i gave up on it and change game.    … Expand

    Royal Edition adds a ton of content and this game went from an 8 to a 9. The joy and sheer amount of content earn this game high marks in my opinion

    Now the negatives, everything else. The story is average at best, there is a great deal of trauma in here which is never addressed and overshadowed by the 'boys road trip'.     Cambio brusco en la saga de Final Fantasy pero uno para bien y que le hacia falta a la franquicia , dejar en claro que pese al tiempo de desarrollo que se le dedico al juego no me deja indiferente y tampoco sus mecanicas y argumento en la historia con un final mas que epico y misiones las cuales disfrute cada una de ellas tanto principales como secundarias y una progresion de niveles masCambio brusco en la saga de Final Fantasy pero uno para bien y que le hacia falta a la franquicia , dejar en claro que pese al tiempo de desarrollo que se le dedico al juego no me deja indiferente y tampoco sus mecanicas y argumento en la historia con un final mas que epico y misiones las cuales disfrute cada una de ellas tanto principales como secundarias y una progresion de niveles mas que adecuada para el juego , claro que hay un pequeño 'pero' con respecto de como se llega al "final" que se vuelve lineal pero fuera de eso disfrute mucho de FFXV.… Expand

    Action RPG lover, always found annoying the "menu" system on final fantasy even though I still played and enjoyed quite a few and this had my attention from the start because of the fast paced action gameplay but I dodnt know how much it would excel in almost everything else. Instantly at the top favourite games of all time for me with just a few flaws :
    -Endless traveling vs skipping    Action RPG lover, always found annoying the "menu" system on final fantasy even though I still played and enjoyed quite a few and this had my attention from the start because of the fast paced action gameplay but I dodnt know how much it would excel in almost everything else. Instantly at the top favourite games of all time for me with just a few flaws :
    -Endless traveling vs skipping skits, it gets tiresome and then you miss things
    -The definitive final, would have liked to have a couple of different endings
    -Promised DLCs that got cancelled for some corporate/employee **** was really looking forward to some of those
    -There are a few HUGE plot holes that need some filling    … Expand

    After so many years of development, Final Fantasy XV is not what I expected it to be. The universe is immense and beautiful and the characters are just fine. But the story is short and disappointing and the gameplay suffers from lack of depth. FFXV is a good game, but it can never bring the former glories back to the series.

    Despite a divided feel, torn between what it was and what it plans to be, Final Fantasy XV has a lot to offer. If you're a diehard JRPG fan, then it's a positive sign that the series can cross over to a new format. And if you're just looking for an open world adventure, Final Fantasy XV certainly has that in spades, while doing just enough things differently to separate it from the likes of Dragon Age and Elder Scrolls.
