I've had fun in the two days that I've played it. But, I know that is short lived. I've already completed the story and hit over 200 light. The new subclass system with trees just feels a bit worse. 4v4 Crucible? Another downgrade from Destiny 1.

Most of the enemies are the exact same or reskins from D1. Boss fights and other things are all the same. Bullet sponges and hundreds of adds. The story was an improvement, but at a mere 8-12 hours it's not exactly meaty.

Maybe after multiple expansions this game will be worth the Destiny 2 name, but at this point in time it definitely is not.

I was expecting more. Bungie leaves me disappointed.

This attempt makes things even more fragmented. Campaign is very short, lacks depth, and a complete mess. The only bright spots are literally the extreme eye candy. PC users will enjoy the bright particles for about 5 minutes and then realize its just a cover for how poorly made this game is. The musical number is on par if not the best thing coming out of Bungie Studios. PvP is the worst content in this game. 4v4 just isn't a viable option in 2017. No dedicated servers because of cost really confuses me if Bungie is trying really hard to make this game into a competitve PvP game. Did I mention how poorly the matchmaking is? Strikes take anywhere from 5 minutes just to que a random matchmake amd PvP sufferes an extremely long 10 minutes. My controller shutsoff at this time. Weapon design and creativity is hit or miss. Yes, the look of D2 is pleasing, but after visiting Titan youll see where all the resource went too. Its like D2 isnt really D2. More like an annoyance. The grind is still there unfortuanately. The only difference is that it feels far less rewarding. And thats where D2 fails. Its not n average shoot and loot game anymore. Its an eye candy foot in the PC relm because what else is there to do but make as much money as they can. So dont waste your time. This is a bust. Its a sad day for Bungie fans. Criticizing the game is beating a dead horse; it suffices to say the game is boring, somehow not as good as the first, and will probably be fun to play in January of 2020. I say in the last paragraph originally that this game isn't a 2; in the past 5 months I've probably played 10 hrs and that's about 5 apiece for the DLCs - I get so bored that even half of that time I'm just playing to make sure it's as bad as I think it is...then I play basically anything else and have fun.

You know how when you used to do something wrong, and your parents would tell you "I'm not mad at you...I'm disappointed" and somehow that makes you feel worse? Well, Destiny 2 disappoints. It has such massive potential yet seems to let us down at nearly every turn.

In PvP, the game modes went from 3v3, 6v6, and 6 player all-for-one brawl, to just 4v4. Literally one game mode (and this is a trend where I describe something good from Destiny one that, for seemingly no reason whatsoever, is removed from the sequel). Strategy is centered around teamshots, which in and of itself is not necessarily bad. But with only one PvP format there's no room for developing much of a playstyle; just follow your team around and pick off enemies that stray too far from the pack - rinse and repeat. The skill curve is much lower now which I must admit is actually favorable for me because I am absolutely garbage in the Crucible.

When it comes to PvE, Destiny is a "grindy" game and always has been. However, most of the time during Destiny 1 the grind was fun and worthwhile because you would get legitimately powerful, interesting, and different gear from putting in your work. The key here to emphasize is the different loot you'd get from different activities; it actually mattered whether you were patrolling an area, doing strikes, etc. In Destiny 2 it just doesn't really make a difference. Everyone gets the same weapon 53 times, demolishes it for materials to trade in to the Gunsmith for yet another random weapon you already got 53 times.

In particular the weapon "rolls" from the first game made so much more sense and gave players a reason to stay focused on an activity. And these rolls made it ok for when you got the same weapon drop, because maybe this time it would have the stats you were looking for.

Easily the most frustrating thing about Destiny 2 is how often I'll play it and think about how the first game did something better. And I know this isn't a review of the DLC, but goodness gracious what an absolute step in the wrong direction that was. The silver lining is that Destiny 1 took a while to develop and really shine; it is possible (although hope is fading month by month...) that the game can change and grow into the experience we were all looking for in the first place.

I have to explain I'm giving this a 5 because it is still a pretty decent experience for a limited amount of gameplay hours. It is by no means what I would consider a 1 or 2 rating, which is something I'd reserve for a game that's either broken, derivative, shallow, or some combination of those. It's just so confusing as to what exactly they were trying to achieve by stripping out several great aspects of the first game, and replacing them with either something worse or nothing at all.

The change to two primaries make the gunplay kind of boring.
The pvp has been stripped to 4v4 with slower TTK and the lacklustre weapons setup unfortunately make pvp uninspiring and boring. Instead of improving the rpg elements from destiny to give the player options for interesting builds

In all honesty, the amount of "reviews" here that are flooding the scoring system is baffling. It is sad to see Activision's marketing campaign worked so well.

Destiny 2 is definitely not the sequel we hoped it to be. A lot of the promises and premises alike were left both untouched and unmentioned, leaving us with a husk of a game made by a husk of a studio. A lot of things went wrong and I will try to get as much points discussed as possible as a note to anyone still considering whether or not to buy this game.

Every Bungie/Activision-selected review mentions the artstyle and graphics of the game, and you barely can have anything against that. The artists really made both D1 and D2 feel very immersing and atmospheric, and I would definitely recommend checking out Destiny's concept art for more of that feel. Improved textures and effects do help, but not by a large margin. The graphics shouldn't be a selling point by this time as the eighth generation of consoles is old enough not to have games as tech demos. The 30 fps doesn't help either, and that handicaps the game even more.

The story isn't reminiscent of anything Bungie can make. It is very clear that the studio and the publisher are trying their best to attract a wider demographic, but the plot suffers from that greatly. The game uses every opportunity to present you as something mighty and powerful, usually exaggerating. The plot doesn't follow any serious themes either, focusing on something easy to understand and get into, and, because of this, it's easy to see through. Bungie is known to have a plot in their game that can be both entertaining and intriguing, yet sadly, Destiny 2 is not that kind of game.

The gameplay mostly remains untouched, but it is already seen from the get-go that any changes are made for the PvP audience, rather than for the PvE players. The gunplay is solid enough to be enjoyable, but that alone is greatly overshadowed by the techniques the developers are now deploying. Microtransactions have a more prominent role that gives actual loot instead of cosmetic items. Speaking of those, cosmetics are now considered to be a one-time use item, and that means fans of customizing their characters are going to take a hit to their wallets. The endgame suffers from the same problem of repetitiveness as it predecessor did, and by the time of this review, the endgame turns into a mundane grind. The introduction of the raid is not to fix much of the problem (I will gladly take my words back if proven otherwise, yet I highly doubt that), not to mention that most of the bosses still maintain that level of unoriginality Destiny 1 had (they are called bullet sponges for a reason).

While the marketing campaign is blowing everyone away, their expectations are crumbling once they discover what a wreck this game appears as at launch. It is clear that pre-orders will make up for the majority of the income, and it's sad to see players and reviewers not to see the many flaws this game has.

On a final note, I will strongly recommend that potential buyers check out more reviews and take both positive and negative feedback with a grain of salt, as well as hold tight to your wallet and keep it cool. For the time being, the game does not justify neither its price nor the microtransactions in it, and I would also recommend waiting for at least the first expansion and checking out the reviews on that one as well, as this could be the best chance to see if the player feedback is understood and accounted for or utterly ignored.

For starters this is a soft reboot to the Destiny franchise, that much is obvious. Bungie was clearly upset about how D1 turned out and they didn't like how people were playing "their" game so they ripped it from our hands and went "no play with it like this!". Barely anything has changed, same gameplay, same endless grind for gear to grind for better gear, the AI is still brain dead to the point where PVE is basically a shooting gallery, difficulties are gone, everything is too easy, you can sprint through most of the story missions without firing a shot and everything looks like a Hollywood set(fake and set up to make the player think there is more there than there is). There is absolutely no reason for this to be a "shared world shooter" that is a pure marketing gimmick, it would be so much better if they just dropped that money making BS and focused on making a coherent story. Instead what we get is an incoherent mess with high school level writing and lore that not only makes no sense but is now filled with holes because it does not line up with the last game. But at least it's a "social shooter"! With no proximity or in game chat at all and 99% of players are antisocial only coming together because the game forces it. Well the PVP must be good then right? Nope. The PVP is hot garbage, fanboys will try to tell you it "takes more skill now", ignore them it doesn't. All you do in PVP is follow your team around like a lost puppy and team shoot the other team's stragglers, that is literally all PVP is. Abilities also charge way too slow so don't expect to use them much or at all, the entire point of destiny is the abilities and they are barely present now. Surely the gear grind must be good? To which I say there is no grind any more. God tier gear is now handed out like candy on Halloween, by the time I finished the campaign I was decked out in legendaries and exotics and I didn't farm anything, hell you don't even have to play to get gear any more just join an active clan and let them play for you, you get free gear from that too. Without challenge video games are completely pointless, I know most of bungie are probably on the left side of politics given how they tend to balance their games to benefit people who are **** at the game and to them "Sharing the wealth" must make them feel so good on the inside, but the fact is that kind of design makes playing games like this completely pointless. I don't want to be handed god tier gear just for being a warm body, I want to earn it. Why should I even bother playing when I can just join a semi active clan and check in daily for free gear? I feel ripped off and I got this game for free, let's hope the DLC which I also bought is better than this nonsense. Expand

I don't understand how they can get away with it. There is no new enemies (Except when they set up a new enemy upon completion of the 3-4 hour story, which will be part of the.......DLC), zero innovation, Locations still boring and empty. What annoyed me the most was the fact that you don't get a sparrow until completion of the story, and all of the the maps are clearly designed for sparrows. Bright engrams can now be bought through micro transactions to get your legendary/exotic gear. You can earn these upon leveling up every time after level 20; which is apparently when the game really starts. It is not, it is when the grinding starts. How people are so thrilled about loot i will never know. The loot is just the same **** that looks a bit different from the last lot. D1 was a flawed game in many aspects (it had a shallow story, bland characters and serious balancing issues in PVP), but it had two things that made it awesome: its Power Fantasy Fulfillment and its fun factor. Those things are nowhere to be found in D2.

Powers, supers and exotics were a big contributor in the Power Fantasy factor, and all of them were nerfed on D2. Sure, you get used to it, but go back to D1 and you'll feel like YOU were nerfed not your inventory.

Fun is hard to describe, some D1 players found "the grind" fun, other hated it, messy PVP games with 6 players per team and a huge reliance on abilities were a drag for some while others felt that was the meta. So when I say that a messy gameplay was fun, I mean it was fun for me, but now it is not.

I appreciate the primary weapons focused gameplay but I miss the time when you could play as the lone wolf on PVP (especially when you are playing with randoms), I like that the grind is gone, but the "one size fits all" philosophy of tokens and engrams made the game dull. There is little motivation to play for more than a couple hours every week when you are leveling up, and after you reach the level cap there is really no motivation to play at all. I don't see how special events like Iron Banner or the Halloween event will change that.

What's worse, they are now increasingly tying everything to the real money Eververse store a la EA. It's greedy and insulting, and Bungie honestly doesn't deserve anyone's money for this mailed-in garbage.

strikes were way better than destiny 2 strikes i mean look at the rewards u used to get strike loot and the scoring system was fun. Even in the op thorn meta things like, last word, hawkmoon, red death, messenger were all good and anything in that type of fire rate was good. Next special weapons were fun, people might say shotguns are op however, snipers could stand up to them u just needed to get gud learn quick scoping (fusion rifles became good in rise of iron). In destiny 2 the only guns u can use are the last hope, multi tool and Origin Story type of weapns and ability's take way to slow to charge i mean if i wanted to play halo i would but i wanna play op 1 shot supers destiny thats fun. The game is a complete cash grab, not only for it's DLC with content that should've been in the game since launch but also with purchasable money to buy in-game skins, shaders and boosters. The gunplay and classes are great, however that's honestly it. It's just replaying the same content over and over again, pvp is a joke and the pve content locks you into requiring a squad which is super boring cause they just use whatever gun/combo instantly melts the boss which makes the devs have to stack the boss with either more HP or a dumb can't get hurt mechanic. Very disappointing.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. There is so much more that Bungie can be doing with Destiny, and I was hoping they'd hit the nail on some of them with D2, but alas it's not the case. It's like no one at Bungie plays any MMOs that have really well designed customization and progression systems.

    * Why have skill points if you can only spend on one part of the tree at the time? This is just an illusion of choice. Introduce real and meaningful alternative traits.
    * Why is the main character mute during the story? This fundamentally straightjackets the type of story that can be told, all for the incredibly misguided principle of Bungie's "not putting words in your character's mouth". Well, that only works if you can *say* something yourself. If you can't, well, then put *some* words in there or else we will just be the mute sidekicks and lapdogs that do what everyone else tells us to do.
    * No meaningful item use, gun customization (to offset lack of perk RNG), quest system, lack of real NPCs with stories and chat dialogue. All the *world building* that Destiny so sorely lacks.

You could say that many of these things don't matter and that it's demanding too much. But the problem is that Destiny is consciously aiming to be a mixed MMORPG/shooter. If it *consciously* wants to inhabit that space, it automatically is on the hook for implementing the most basic systems that are expected in the respective genres.

Aside from this, there are the little things that are just facepalm-inducing in this game.

    * Why no sparrow horns?
    * Why no post-mission stats?
    * Why only 4v4 in PvP? Why not have both 4v4 and 6v6 modes? 6v6 is incredibly fun most of the time!
    * Why cater **all** the game mechanics to be beholden to PvP, and refuse to have separate PvE and PvP systems? This results in inevitably twisted game mechanics. Whoever heard of a FPS where your shotgun is a "power" type weapon instead of a secondary? These are vagaries of Destiny PvP that have forced themselves onto the entire game. The collateral damage is that PvE is now a predominantly primary-only snoozefest, and every boss is basically like good ol' Rockets McDickface (though not as bad as the OG one).

It's like Bungie decided to play whack-a-mole with all the little aspects of Destiny they wanted to improve, without stepping back for a second and looking at the big picture to see if the resulting changes would make *sense* when put together. There is a role for bottom-up game design, but you have to have **some** top-down design or else the result will be a hodgepodge of lateral and vertical changes, with little sense of improvement in overall direction towards the **vision** of the game.

And oh god the story. It's much more fleshed out than in D1, that's for sure. But boy is it *cheesy*. That wonder I felt in the early stages of D1, of vast dystopian worlds with so much mystery and room for imagination, is now firmly out the window, and replaced with cheesy tropes, "rah rah our hero is the bestest", and overly excessive humour.

In essence, there is a lack of vision for Destiny. There **was** a clear vision during the development of D1, but that was famously gutted at the last minute, and we are suffering from the consequences to this day. Is it a serious sci-fi story-driven shooter? Is it a competitive PvP game? Is it an RPG with meaningful loot and character progression? Or is it a tongue-in-cheek casual FPS (like Overwatch aims to be)? At this point, the answer is "a bit of this, a bit of that, but all mashed together and not doing any of them well."

Instead, to make it work, Bungie forces artificial grind (ooh now we can only infuse using weapons of the same type, extra grind yay!) to *compensate* for the lack of meaningful quests, story, and so on, which themselves stem from a lack of true world building and clear-headed implementation of *basic* MMO game systems.

As a D1 veteran who invested many hours in the game, and a long-term MMORPG and FPS fan who is begging for a true union of the two, it's frankly more than a little heartbreaking.

This is one uniquely kind of game, that is relatively good looking but has such a crappy aftertaste in almost any aspect (totally incoherent and blundered story, bugs, design faults, willful programmed obsolescence, deceitful game mechanics etc etc etc), that you can not stop the urge rinsing your mouth with powerful disinfectant, as with every new bite and extension you want to vomit more out than you already ate. DO NOT BUY THAT CRAP.

It would not be fair to give that game a 0, because it can be fun playing it initially, yet after a short while (yeah the so called story line is rather quickly done...) and when one has grinded long enough to get the character classes and sub-classes to max, one quickly gets the epiphany that that was it. One raid in the endgame with a prestige mode that does not really get you better stats loot, repetitive strikes and heroic strikes and nightfall activities that result in no big loot gains but having ridiculous features in it, so you only can play them more or less with pro players only because of some really bad modifier combos.

That game with all its bugs and design failures, and with the implementation of unseen and unscrupulous monetization mechanics, that just aim to squeeze and squeeze more and more money out of you - the buyer- , and all the game gives you is that bitter aftertaste in your mouth, as if you licked a load of dirt; it is a game that will get you on the long run into that depressive state where you pull and pull the lever of the one armed bandit of game mechanics and loot boxes and hope for the win and satisfaction that never comes. Just more crap more or less openly dumped on you.

If you are a masochist that enjoys pain, then that is the game for you. It will keep you grinding for nothing. It will give you crucible matches you constantly yell about and scream in anger, because Bungie implemented a peer to peer model so they have saved bucks on their infrastructure and server capacity and optimized their cash flow.

Yes, the cash flow that goes from your pocket to their managers bonuses being so innovative to sell you AAA priced faulty and buggy software, that gets you to vomit and yell on a constant pace like Linda Blair in the Exorcist.

From BETA, people had a problem where they would be randomly sent to orbit (crash) and NPCs needed to complete quests wouldn't spawn. They named it Spinach. They didn't fix it, and changed the problem name to Moose. The game is out now, and they renamed it again without fixing (Cabbage). They also didn't fix the problem for PS4 users to get the LETTUCE and BEE errors that keeps reconnecting them to the spawn point of the map when they try to complete any quest. They also didn't fix a problem which cause you to not be able to join the game because of "server capacity is full" while it isn't. Now there is also another problem that says "You don't have permission to join this multiplayer" which prevents AGAIN you from playing. FInal thought: you preorder the 110€ collector, but can only start playing 12-20+ hours after who bought the physical edition (And they completed the campaign in less than 12h already). Thank you bungie.

On a final note also: the character customization is the same. The gameplay, is the same. The graphics is the same with new filters.

They changed the story and added microtransaction for weapons and armors. That's the only difference between D1 and D2 at the moment.

I wasted money on this game. It is just about the easiest game I have ever played. There has not been a single challenging moment, which is par for the course. You are not even allowed to chose what PvP you want to play with a randomly generated playlists. The developers have created false ceilings on leveling (you can only level so fast each week) and turned major draws in D1, such as Iron Banner, into shadows of their former selves. PvP design is definitely inferior, incentives to continue to play after you complete weekly milestones is almost nil, and the loot/reward system is broken.

Overall, there are a preponderances of mechanisms intent on controlling the player rather than focusing on making the game fun for the player.. If you really want to try this game out, wait for another year or two before investing any money in it. Maybe they will fix the game in the meantime. Buyer beware.

My main reaction to this game is the frustration of seeing how much missed potential there is for the franchise. There is so much more that Bungie can be doing with Destiny, and I was hoping they'd hit the nail on some of them with D2, but alas it's not the case. It's like no one at Bungie plays any MMOs that have really well designed customization and progression systems.

No 6v6 pvp, 1 time use shaders, no random rolls, no reason to continue. Bungie's continued F-U to the community is beyond appalling.

Bungie was caught throttling XP - so they said they will disable it. Instead of only disabling it - they also practically DOUBLED the amount of xp to level. Effectively making a permanent throttle.

I stuck with Bungie through all of D1 and it took until the last 2 xpacs to really make it a great game. I'm not waiting or throwing money at them any more to get their act together with D2. Avoid this game for another year or better if you haven't bought it already. It's clear Bungie is only after your quick money and not your long term investment.

soundtrack.then theres this abomination.like who in the hell at bungie thought hay lets take verything great about the first game and get rid of it completely and if you disagree well they removed the difficulty changer, 6v6, 4v4, rumble free for all, mayhem pvp, strike modifier, secondary weapons heavy and special ammo, replayable missions, strike specific loot, unique exotic and legendary weapons, random weapon perks, amour perks, customisable subclases, private matches, fun boss battles where you can melt the boss but the boss can also melt you and not just do a it of damge spawn so adds and go immune rince and repeat, having all the end game activities give good loot and the lower difficulty activities give you weaker gear not the other way around, faction reps, gunsmith weapons, having ships, sparrows and shaders be earned through game play not the eververse, having enemies that are tough and chalanging for anyone except a foetus, the cosmodrome in Russia , the ocean of storms on the moon, the Ishtar collective on venus, the meridian bay on mars, the dreadnought, t he plague lands on earth, siav an entire enemy race, a voiced character.now this could all be slightly forgivavle if everything they added wasn't terrible.they promoted the game with 4 new locations one of wich being the biggest they ever made that being the europian dead zone (the EDZ) now the edz isn't actualy that big as in reality its just a massive donut with fast travel points everywhere so you will only see about 5 or 6 little areas in it and 2 of the planets io and titan are tiny and are empty baron wiats with nothing in along with that io is just an ugly rock with a terrible colour palet the other planet is Nessus that in my opinion is the only decent one as it isn't just a donut it actualy uses all the space its presented with and has a nie colour pallet and is visualy impressive.now this game says it has an epic and cinematic story well it dosnt its story is about as good as the original if not worse its just dumbed down and stripped of potential unlike the original and gives us a likeable character cayde 6. now him being a fan favorite he was featured heavily in the marketing and I was really let down when I found out hes is only in a handful of cutscenes and 2 missions.now this game being a looter shooter you would expect it ot have lot of looting that it does but because all the loot is so similar due to fixed perks and how legendarys and exotics are just thrown away as if they are the effort bungo put into this game all the loot is really boring but there is still the gunplay now it is very similar to first game in this it feels soooo boring due to all the guns feeling the same where as in destiny 1 due to all the guns felling and perks being extremely varied it felt o fun to shoot mone gun switch to another and have it feel so much more different was amzing now its just sort of press buton gun fires shot.now the pvp in the first game was so fun and thrilling and hasd a skill gap but also was fairly unbalanced now in destiny 2 they have removed nay semblance of fun or variation in the pvp as all it is is just team shotting then supers being spammed at the end of a match noq th game is statisticaly a bit more balanced but in the end there its not worth it as its just so boring and in diverse as well as that the monthly pvp event iron banner not only did they retcon an entire year of the first game it had some of the most terrible and unrewarding loot drops dor what was supposed to be an endgame activity and I say supposed because they removed level advantages from all pvp in the game iron banner and trials of Osiris or trials of the nine as it is now called so they are just sweaty boring pvp matches that are extremely unrewarding.now in every destiny game/expansion there is allways a raid and bungo delivered one of the most boring raids yet with some really dumb mechanincs especialy when compared to things like kings fall and vault of glass and not only that the raid has one boos at the very end and when you finaly kill him all you get is one gun one piece of armour and a few tokens and oh yeah screw rep gains now you have little circles that you give to an nps for a reskin of a gun you got 10 minutes ago.aswell as all this bungo remove the grimiore cards that where the first games way of explaining lore oney you had to go to there website to read them this time round they removed it and said they would put it in the game yeah they didn't they just removed lore from the entire game.at the end of the day destiny 2 is a looter shooter with boring and easy to aquire loot and boring and easy shooting full of scumy microtrnasactions that have small bits of lore attached to them Expand

    O Patinho feio

Exclama a mamã pata.
    - Alguém te pregou uma partida. Afirma a vizinha galinha.

    - Olha! Um recém-chegado! Gritou uma das crianças. Todas as outras crianças davam gritos de alegria.
    - E é tão bonito! Dizia outra.
Bonito?... De quem estarão a falar? Pensou o patinho feio.
De repente, o patinho feio viu que todos olhavam para ele e, ao ver o seu reflexo na água, viu um grande e elegante cisne.
    - Oh!... Exclama o patinho admirado.

I would believe ANY major developer in this day and age would understand this is a poor way to do business.

I fully understand locking new maps, skins, and missions behind a paywall, I understand the developer desire to make money but a game should NEVER lock abilities and weapons that other real life people can Lord over you behind a pay wall, it is not a fair process.

Bungie allows people who pay extra to get devastating weapons like Dead Man's Tale that can easily kill and frustrated players who do not desire or are unable to pay for this upgrade.

They also add inherent class abilities available to anyone who pays, such as in The Beyond Light expansion with the ability to completely freeze other players.

Not being able to move AT ALL is a huge advantage and makes the game unplayable. It's frustrating to have such huge disadvantages ADDED to the base game which can not be overcome unless you pay more money. If you have already paid money for Destiny 2, you should not be forced to pay more to compete effectively.

Either every PVP player should get all new the abilities and have the potential to access all new weapons, OR players should only play with people with the same abilities and weapons, OR give us our money back.

I can no longer play comfortably as I could when I originally bought the game, and changing the effectiveness of people who pay to make it easier for them and harder for those who don't is a very fraudulent and reprehensible act.

Now its more difficult to lvl up gear wise. Before the patch I could easily get legend drop (purple), but now it's mainly standard (blue - for lvl 20). Also a HUGE drawback are the raids and the way they designed it. Basically the game holds your hand and its difficult to die, unless you f'ed up big time. Then you launch raids to get proper gear and... the game f. you in your behind. NO walk through what so ever. Big guessing game what to do (leviatan), so you open youtube to find out that you and your team mate are done with the game. It turns our you need 6 ppl to do it! I have a full time job, wanted a game where I can relax but these ppl designed it only for hardcore and clan players.
Just yesterday I was thinking... maybe I'll buy DLC but there is no point, I can't simply play. What's most retarded is that on easy mode (read STRIKEs) the game is matchmaking you with 2 other ppl. But hard ass Leviatan.... oh well let me see you and your friend struggle (muahahaha), no matchmaking!

In essence this is amazingly good looking game with a great feel (gun play), but it's shallow as water in the toilet. Minecraft in Alpha version offered more joy that this overpriced and cut in half (DLCs) piece of poop.

The amount of glitches, bugs, hacks, lag, connection errors, "killed by the architects", bad matchmaking... and zero attempts of bungie's side to fix the problems at hand, this game deserves to be one of the lowest rated games ever. People can't even be on the menu when transiting to the tower otherwise they get disconnected, I tried - not joking - 30 times, with resets of the console, with network (lan/wlan) changed, with all kinds of "tricks" to get to the tower but got disconnected for 1h straight, and bungie's solution "you have a strict NAT", no we haven't - all of my friends and the people that encounter that issue have normal NAT 1 or 2 and even with all ports open this games network features are utter garbage - like 30y ago where you could "hope" to play a game in multiplayer due to the (bad) servers. This game deserves all the backlash that it gets, because if as a company your only interest are microtransactions and new payable dlc's you are not deserving any praise. FIX YOUR GAME. And for those people that don't have any of those issues mentioned, here is my initial review (rated 5 for very average and below anything bungie ever did, even Destiny (1) imo:
I've played Destiny (1) easily over 1000 hours even tough - in my opinion - the game was severely lacking but the gameplay - mostly the pvp - was pulling me back. It was fluid, paced and engaging.
Destiny 2 lacks - as the original - in (almos) every RPG or MMO aspect of the game. The Story is lackluster altough better than the original, the Raid is unfulfilling and the Activities (world, lost sectors, strikes...) get stale fast. The one thing that got me back every time in Destiny (1) - the pvp - is as tiresome as it could get. It's teamshooting at it's finest so that you can't play solo anymore, the slowed down movement makes it more "tactical" (but less fun imo because no more lone wolf"-ing"), the map design is horrendous, the weapons are not balanced (as there are clear dominant archetypes), the pvp is sweaty (already), the Osiris" (competitive gamemode) is countdown (a COD mode that doesn't fit with the gameplay of Destiny) and the community is toxic already...
The game is a minimalistic attempt to "improve" a formula that needed change and not stagnation, the weapons themselves are repetitive and not interesting, the exotics (used to be main draw to get in D1) are not special anymore and the long term activities are already boring me/people. This game should be bought at a discount when all DLC's are included.

Сейчас при старте игры выводится лозунг "Black Liver Matter". Такие игры нам не нужны, жаль что приобрел ее когда-то.
A message is displayed at startup screen - "Black Liver Matter". I think NO, that statement is not valid.

No endgame. No depth. Gutted features and QoL from Destiny 1. Microtransaction (shaders, ships, sparrows) ****
Huge step back compared to Destiny 1. Really dissapointed in Bungie and canceled my preorder for PC. I'm done with Destiny.

Overpriced piece of crap, story banal, linear and boring, combat linear and boring, to much grin, nor rewarding grind, cash shop with one time use recolors and items, that will affect gameplay, DLCs, graphics epileptic, quite medium quality level, characters not interesting, peer to peer.
Huge promo hype around nothing, this game is not worth to play it even for free, waste of time.

As a long time Destiny 1 player I'm very happy with Destiny 2. It's not perfect, but an improvement and lots of fun so far.

HOWEVER... I don't know who decided that one time use shaders were a good idea... They are not. Worst change ever Bungie. This would have been a 9, but for that deeply silly change, have a 0.

Even if Bungie backtracks on some of these horrendous missteps, there’s evidence that the dev team is either flailing around without a clear idea of the experience they want to present, or even worse, they’re happy to offer the least amount of mediocre content possible until the player base starts pushing back. When free-to-play titles like Warframe and Let it Die seem monumentally more generous and offer vastly more entertainment value than a triple-A sixty dollar release built with a budget large enough to feed whole continents, it’s clear that something has gone horribly wrong.

It’s this sense of streamlined player experience that really defines Destiny 2. Where the first game had you grinding for hours just to experience increasingly diminishing returns, this is a sequel that trims away its processor’s frustrations, firmly putting fun first.

Destiny 2 is tough to compare to other shooters or games, but it is evidently a better title than part 1. The campaign is longer, the progression makes more sense, the structure is more satisfying and the sheen and splendor on the various planets entices even more. Destiny is comparable with its predecessor after the add-on The Taken King, and is therefore a more solid foundation for the coming months of content.
