    Llevo jugando a los videojuegos desde la época de nes y master system. Por mi haber han pasado muchos juegos, de las mencionadas 8 bits hasta ahora y puedo decir que hacia muchos años que un juego no me transmitía tanto como este.

    Criticarlo por la realización de misiones secundarias que pueden llegar a ser repetitivas es un desacierto. Este juego es mucho más que seguir las secundarias    Llevo jugando a los videojuegos desde la época de nes y master system. Por mi haber han pasado muchos juegos, de las mencionadas 8 bits hasta ahora y puedo decir que hacia muchos años que un juego no me transmitía tanto como este.

    Criticarlo por la realización de misiones secundarias que pueden llegar a ser repetitivas es un desacierto. Este juego es mucho más que seguir las secundarias (por cierto algunas son brillantes) sumergirte en un mundo con infinidad de detalles, la maravillosa banda sonora, el inmejorable doblaje de los actores es sólo la punta del iceberg. Es un juego profundo al que me fue imposible dedicarle menos de 100h, me lo he pasado con 105h y aun me quedan secretos por descubrir.

    Decididamente se trata de una obra maestra, un argumento que te deja elucubrando posibles respuestas durante dias. Ir del punto A al punto B se convierte en toda una expeciencia en la que debes usar el ingenio para alcanzar tu meta, nada es lo que parece.

    Recomendado a aquellos que sepan jugar desde la calma, aquellos que quieran disfrutar de un juego que alcanza la cumbre en prácticamente todos los aspectos. Tiene algún fallo, cierto como la falta de realismo en el manejo de los vehículos pero que esto os no haga perderos todo lo que supone esta historia.

    Vivimos en un mundo donde la ordinariez y vulgaridad acapara los mayores éxitos en la tv, prensa y muchos videojuegos. Este juego supone un antes y un después en esta industria como lo supuso en su dia shenmue (otro incomprendido en su época y ahora es un juego de culto)

    Death Stranding is truly a remarkable experience that no one should miss. I personally loved every single moment of it. Succinctly, one of the best PS4 titles.

    basically a masterpiece. now I see how a really great game looks like. so many details that must be considered before you going to delivery. every single trip is an unique adventure. and I dont tell a word about a story. you just need to go an play and live it yourself

And when you're in the thick of it, you fully appreciate everything it has to offer.

    The story is delicately woven through-out the game. You may go a couple of hours just delivering packages and then other times, you'll be watching lengthy cut-scenes. This can break the pacing up a bit but it also keeps you on your toes, for the next story development.

    The game play here is truly unique. Instead of relying on gun-play, the challenge lies in traversing the landscape with your packages. It opens up further, once you unlock the vehicles and other outposts. One of the most rewarding parts of the game, was expanding the roads. It's not mandatory to the main missions but it does help greatly in delivering more packages at once. You are subject to scavengers and the BT's (invisible creatures), who make deliveries that much more intense. These enemies are the real threat in the landscape and can make for some amazing set pieces, that are unpredictable and hugely satisfying.

    To say this game is boring, is a hugely ignorant observation. If you're someone who is used to quick and gratifying games like Call of Duty, then stay away from this. It's not for everyone. It transcends basic game-play mechanics and creates something totally unique and fresh. If you don't enjoy this type of game then you can at least appreciate the importance of it.    … Expand

    This game is a true gem in our era of ubiquitous remakes and remasters. A unique scenario that gradually develops but involves the player from the very first hours of gameplay, an excellent visual component, a great selection of actors and music. After MGS 5, this is a scenario and gameplay breakthrough for Kojima.

When I doing deliveries in the game I felt sleepy and my eyelid are closing more than few times, but in reality when working during office hour this feeling make sense in every way. When I building something in the world or use something someone has built, always never forget to leave a dozens of likes, isn't that everyone using social media nowadays hoping for, to get the sense of presence in this world, being a part of the world we live in? Speaking of the boring and repetitive gameplay, it feels like the game developers intentionally make it this way compared to some other game trying to create something ambitious and interesting gameplay but turns out not engaging at all. The storytelling in Death Stranding is mind-blowing, with Kojima-style odd cinematography makes the presentation of the story looks awesome and very few games can achieve the cinematic visual and feel of this game has created. IMO, the experience Death Stranding provided is very unique compared to what usually people expecting a game to be. No intense gun fight, no fancy fighting moveset. Just listen to nice song or music when you feel bored while doing your jobs or travelling from point A to point B in the game. In conclusion, the developers has created a game not to be fun, but feels very related to our daily lives.… Expand

    One of best games i played for last yers. For me, it is sensitive and new-experience like Soma, Firewatch, big epic project like Red Dead Redemption. Depth, truthness, real (i can see it) try to make something new and interesting for player.

    I absolutely love this game, it's a different game than any other one, one should say it's not for everyone . if you want a different experience I would say give this one shot.

    You will find mixed reviews of Death Stranding because it just simply isn't for everyone. There are some things people can agree on though: Story 10/10. Concept 10/10. World STUNNING. Soundtrack 10/10. Where the controversy comes in… is the core gameplay loop.


    Death Stranding is a walking simulator. Yout main objective is to be a post man and take items from point A to point B… And it's amazing. When travelling through a new area there will be nothing but your wits to help you traverse the wild and varied terrain, all while grappling the weather. You must utilise ladders,  ropes and other craftable equipment including vehicles to conquer rivers, cliffs, mountains, forests, canyons, etc. On top of this, either avoid or combat certain enemies. Once you make it to point B, you will bring new settlements into the "chiral network"... this is where the game gets super cool. Once on the network, areas have a chiral bandwidth. This will allow you to build, bridges, roads, zip lines, post boxes, charging stations, shelters, etc which will help you conquer the terrain and make it your b$@tch. This sandbox element is endlessly fun and something you spend ages, constantly improving and making more efficient.


    BUT also with the chiral network, comes the strand system! The strand system is your connection to other players in the same world. You will have access to some of their structures which they have built in their own worlds and they will have access to some of yours!! Also you can see player signs… a way of marking "enemies ahead" and stuff. There is a like system, you can give however many likes to structures as you want within reason and likes from players is how you level up your character. So if you find something super useful like a well placed bridge, you quite often take a second to spam like the player's structure.


    This gives everyone the incentive to create things that all players will find useful. The more useful your structures the more likes you'll receive, the more players will choose to have your structures around… and so on.


    This makes the world feel alive and ever changing. It's just simply one of the best things to have ever been put into a game ever. I would recommend playing this game JUST to experience this aspect.    … Expand

    A "REAL" walking simulator (you have to be so careful with your walking, concerning the condition of terrain and the weight you carry in mind) with the passive on-line communications and interesting sci-fi settings. But after all, all of them were just some methods to tell a touching story with a strong message.

    Just an amazing game I really didn’t understand the backlash the game, I know the game isn’t for everyone but still the game is a masterpiece imo I agree it is tedious sometimes tho most of the time you really feel rewarded.. I felt addicted to the game and the last game I was addicted to was RDR2. The musical scores in the game is spendid, tho Norman reedus kinda felt weird sometimes.     Death Stranding é um jogo com uma história fenomenal, o mundo pós apocalipse criado pelo Kojima é uma coisa incrível. Nas primeiras horas de Gameplay o jogo fica bem chato mas com o desenrolar da História o jogo vai ficando ainda mais intenso.

    High addictive game, where you basically run around an open world. There's enough to do while putting off the main story line, but no so much that it drags. The cutscenes are other wordly and the game isworth it for the cutscenes alone. .

    Death Stranding точно заслуживает 8/10, так как глупо отрицать её достижения в технических аспектах и не признавать будоражащий сюжет. В конце концов, не каждая ААА-игра позволит себе кат-сцены на 10,5 часов.
    Я бы остановился на оценке 9/10, но ставлю 10, потому что слишком много отрицательных отзывов, которых игра не заслуживает.    … Expand

    This is the best narrative game I've ever played in my life. When you try to understand the world, it makes you more curious and fascinated about how everything connects at the end.     I was VERY hesitant to buy this game after the reviews I saw.. I thought it was going to be awful. I mean deliveries the ENTIRE game?! But after playing... This game.... was a Masterpiece. As a whole, one of the best games I have EVER played. It took me 105 hours to complete the story and yes the first 3-4 chapters are very long and very “grindy” but in a weirdly good way.     Тут и новая для меня механика геймплея, отличная графика, интересные персонажи, крутая атмосфера, очень интересный сюжет, идеальная оптимизация. The enemies you need face are frustrating and scary, you need to be very strategic. For some human enemies, stealth doesnt work because of scanners haha but it’s really fun! It’s funny. What I like about this is the deep art put into making this game. Life is like this, you do “simple” tasks but it gets boring or hard depending on your circumstance. You also figure that you can only take what you can carry in life. And the things you built is destroyed in time thus - TIMEFALL. So good. So good. Please see the game for yourself. If it is for you, your money is well spent for a game you can easily play 300 hours with. This is one of my favorite games ever. :)… Expand

    C'est le premier jeu de Kojima auquel je joue (les MGS ne m'ont jamais tenté). Et je dois dire que je n'ai pas été déçue.
    Je ne sais même pas par où commencer cette critique. Les graphismes sont magnifiques, j'ai vraiment eu l'impression de voyager durant ma partie. Le nombre de fois où je commençais à partir pour livrer tel colis, et la musique s'enclenche soudainement, et je reste un moment immobile pour profiter de la musique et des paysages. Car oui, un point extrêmement important : la musique. Que ce soit les chansons que l'on peut entendre tout au long de notre périple, ou les musiques poignantes que l'on peut entendre durant les cinématiques, elles sont toutes incroyables. Encore aujourd'hui, 7 mois après avoir fini le jeu, je les écoute encore (je me souviens que j'avais entendu BB's Theme une première fois en dehors du jeu, et je n'avais pas été emballée, puis quand je l'ai entendu durant ma partie, je ne sais pas si c'est dû au fait que j'étais bouleversée par mes émotions, mais je l'ai adoré (et encore le mot est faible)).
    Le gameplay est peut-être le plus gros point faible de ce jeu (même si toutes ses qualités effacent ce petit défaut). Il est vrai que jouer les FEDEX peut devenir énervant à la longue, mais justement j'ai adoré voir que Sam ressent exactement la même chose que nous. Ensuite, le point qui me chiffonne le plus c'est les ennemis, non pas les échoués, mais les ennemis vivants. Pour ceux qui cherchent juste à nous assomer pour récupérer nos colis, pas de problème ; mais pour ceux qui cherchent à nous tuer, c'est beaucoup plus compliqué, surtout qu'on ne doit pas les tuer, et qu'ils peuvent nous repérer à distance (d'ailleurs je n'ai toujours pas compris quand scanner pour éviter d'être repéré, j'ai tenté plusieurs fois et j'ai toujours pas compris). Par contre, un point positif incroyable c'est l'entraide entre les joueurs. Je me souviens que j'ai été extrêmement heureuse de trouver un abri où m'abriter pour éviter les échoués (et j'ai rincé les joueurs qui les ont créé avec un max de j'aime), ou de trouver une échelle pour traverser une rivière ou monter une montagne sans laquelle j'aurais mis 15 minutes à trouver un chemin praticable. D'ailleurs ce système est tellement bien qu'on commence à vouloir soi-même contribuer (je suis d'ailleurs fière d'avoir contribuer à créer une bonne portion d'une route, d'avoir améliorer certains abris). Ce jeu nous donne vraiment envie de nous balader pour découvrir toutes les surprises que les développeurs ou des joueurs ont pu laisser sur leur passage. Cependant, j'aime l'idée qu'on ne peut pas se balader librement, qu'on est toujours menacé par les échoués, par cette pluie qui peut arriver à tout moment.
    Concernant l'histoire, c'était grandiose. Je crois n'avoir jamais joué à un jeu qui m'a autant intriguée, bouleversée, etc. Au début on a du mal à comprendre qui est qui, ce qu'il se passe, etc. Et au fur et à mesure on comprend, et surtout on s'attache aux personnages qui ont tous une histoire touchante. Rares sont ceux pour lesquels je n'ai pas laché une petite larme. L'histoire de Mama était tragique, mais ce qui m'a émue aux larmes est lorsqu'elle nous a demandé de "couper le cordon". Quand elle nous a demandé ça, je pouvais pas, je hurlais devant ma télé "non tu peux pas me demander ça, je peux pas faire ça". Et au bout de 5 minutes où j'espérais qu'il se passe quelque chose en vain, j'ai coupé le cordon et ça a été tellement dur (d'ailleurs la musique qui est jouée à ce moment reste l'une de mes préférées). Autre moment qui m'a marqué c'est la fin avec BB/Lou. Lorsqu'on a dû aller l'incinérer, j'étais mal, j'étais en PLS, et le BB's Theme n'a rien arrangé. Cette fin était incroyable. C'est l'histoire qui représente pour moi le plus gros d'un jeu, et Death Stranding est un chef d'oeuvre qui manie des concepts philosophiques, scientifiques et des émotions vives, fortes.
    Mon plus grand regret par rapport à ce jeu est qu'il ne soit pas devenu GOTY 2019. Mais pour moi, il restera mon jeu préféré.    … Expand

    I think this game has one of the best stories I have ever seen in any kind of art. If it was only for the story this game would have been a 10/10 but the pacing is very slow at the beginning which is why most players won`t get to finish it. It is sad that a lot of people will never experience this amazing journey.     Saying that it is a game you should give a chance if you think you’d be open to it, I gave up after 8 hours of my first play through but picked it up again over lockdown and loved it, easily my favourite game of the year and one of my favourites of all time. Gameplay can be described as a walking sim which is true to an extent. But it is more about building networks both with other players and within the world itself and planning out deliveries. Though sparse the world is beautiful to travel through and the idea is once you have made a trip a few times by foot you should have built enough infrastructure to make the trip faster each time. Gameplay and story and well interlinked and once it has you hooked it is very absorbing despite all the walking. The story and acting although not perfect and can tend to be a bit cheesy are exceptionally well done. I would go as far to say this is a masterpiece, though as said before it will not be appreciated but everyone. The soundtrack... it is best experienced within the game as it really elevates those moments but if you don’t like the game and aren’t going to finish it or aren’t even going to get it then just listen to the soundtrack as it is exceptional. It does feel that people tend to complain that most games nowadays are all the same but then when a new concept comes along it gets hated in for being different. So even if you don’t like Death Stranding I hope you can appreciate it for trying something new.    … Expand

It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
