    A great experience! Beautiful landscapes, amazing character design, the whole time you are on the edge of your seat or scratching your head at the obscurity that is death stranding. Would not however suggest this to someone who enjoys instant gratification in video games, tis a slow burn. Cannot wait to see what surprises this studio has next.

    So many giving this game a 0 just because its not for them, although that's not how reviews work. So I guess I have to give it a 10 just because I like it. This game is brilliant in its own way with some flaws if you aren't expecting the style. I recommend watching gameplay video to see if its a game for you.

It is truly a unique game, where so many reviewers say they haven't played anything like it before. You never get a triple A quality game that tries something new, and I like that a lot. The name of the game is delivery and player choice, much like Zelda breath of the wild. Your objective is to deliver cargo but what road you take is really up to you, and that’s the magic of it. Today's youth who just play online games like Fortnite or Pubg will never know what it really is to make a good story like Kojima does. I have been playing alone at night and have been immersed in the world of Death Stranding. After having skimmed through a large portion of them, I have came to the conclusion that a large majority of the negative reviews are either trolls, konami shills, or people who simply don’t get it. Gaming in today’s day and age has been whitewashed, people now come to expect the same formula released every 6 months rehashed with a different skin, presented under a different theme but none the less the gameplay in those games remain passionless, and lack substance. Sure the new Call of Duty looks great, but beyond the flash it is just a remake of call of duty 4. Most people have become accustomed to these kinds of games that when they play something like death stranding, they hate it. This game will not receive the praise it deserves because of companies like EA bastardizing the industry for a quick buck, and anyone who can’t grip the immaculance that is death stranding lacks just as much tegridy as the companies that make the passionless games they’re used to playing. As for my review? What else can I say, the game is brilliant. Boring walking sim? Not even close, sure there is a lot of walking but In a post apocalyptic world you are going to do a lot of walking. Chances are you’ll almost never come across a band of nomads driving cars welded together from other cars like in mad max, a true apocalyptic scenario will likely be exactly as the one death stranding imposes. None the less, as I begin to trail off point. I am only half way through episode 2, and so far I have been almost dragged twice to my death by BT’s, and ambushed once by MULES. So if you are someone who thinks all you do is walk, then you never really gave the game a chance or just haven’t played at all and are just being trendy by hating something you do not understand or you think is cool to hate because your favorite loser YouTuber doesn’t think it’s fast paced enough to deserve the recognition as the piece of art this game actually is. Kojima is on a constant ego trip for a reason, the man is a genius. And even if I never play this fame again after I play through it, I will continue to support developers like Hideo, because developers like Hideo aren’t passionless hacks like EA or Ubisoft. Sadly like I said, this game won’t get the praise it deserves and people will continue to throw their money at companies like EA that are run by actual sociopaths. Oh well, people always gonna be blissful to their own ignorance… Expand

    Not even halfway passed the beginning and this game is already worth my $60. The unique gameplay mechanics, the music, and the graphics all are godlike. Can't speak for the story much since again, im only a few chapters in, but i just gotta drop a 10 because i'm already enjoying it and know it's only gonna get better. I can already tell this isn't gonna be a fun game if you're impatientNot even halfway passed the beginning and this game is already worth my $60.     This is certainly not a perfect game and it has a lot of ups and downs but I think KojiPro delivered what they've advertised. The story is wonderful, the game mechanics feel really good, practically free of bugs, and, overall, the game is fun to play.

If you like the gameplay loop of Elite Dangerous, Euro Truck Sim or just wouldnt mind a decent sci fi story it is pretty solid. Dont expect an action game though. It is pretty sick seeing the community come together and how it incorporates semi synchronus online. Really reallyId give it about a 7 but picked 10 because of the idiots review bombing it at Zero.     劇情一流，畫面一流，玩法我喜歡。看似貧乏的玩法，但自身下去嘗試則完全不同，並不是簡單的a->b點，出發前需要考慮負重、配置等等，途中得考量路線、平衡、道具取捨，遇上bt又得考慮是否改道？種種因素使得遊玩並未ign那三流媒體說的如此遭！！！！

    The story is interesting and engaging, the gameplay is fun and relaxing, I really enjoyed the experience and was really excited to see each turn the story provided. It was great, especially the hades segments.

    This is my second most favourite game of the year. The first one was Sekiro. Absolutely fantastic story! Story wise this beats Sekiro. Sekiro beats this game in terms of challenge as I find challenge is somewhat lacking in this game, especially in the beginning the game is too easy. Much of the joy in this game comes through connecting the United States and interacting with the objects other players construct in the online portion. This is a game that thrives off of the users desire to be kind to others and lend a helping hand and the sense of warmth one recieves when helped. This game is bravely different that what we have come to expect from the AAA game industry. Your weapons are non-lethal. Most often you sneak places. This game is about connecting with others, not doing harm unto them. Much like other Kojima games, it is relentlessly dark but hopeful. It lacks much of Kojima's unhinged absurdity, delivering it's convoluted elements to the player slowly over time, often in disarming ways. Overall Death Stranding is a near perfect game with deep movement, an element that in most games is minimized and simplified, a strong inventory management system, an intriguing story and world and a UI and aesthetic direction that exerts the misery and struggle of these other elements even further onto the player. If one were to search for a complaint to have about this game, the menus are a bit obtuse and while most of this is to an effect, certain elements feel like oversights rather than design decisions. This is a game that respects your time and intelligence and offers you an experience. If you are patient, willing to accept that this medium does not need to be purely fun but rather can be introspective and search for greater meaning in the facts of our existances, you will find a lot to love here. Но черт возьми, как залипаешь! Атмосфера очень сильная. Я сравнить могу только с темной башней Кинга, при чем атмосфера мне показалась прям идентичной, что мне охренеть как заходит.     Как я и думал, это рили артхаус, поэтому все негативные оценки из-за геймплея оправданы если ты хочешь гамать и развлекаться, тут совсем другой подход. В общем Кодзима как всегда) игра рили очень новая и очень не понятная для большинства

    Ааа и да, визуально просто наслаждение от дизайна героев, до шрифта в субтитрах. Для меня очень важна эстетическая составляющая - но с этим вообще все идеально: пейзажи потрясающие, суровые скалы, все эти мшистые склоны, горные реки. Аскетичная и суровая природа. Рай для размышлений. Постапокалиптичность окружающего мира очень красива и ярче ощущается при подходе к населенным пунктам, особенно мне нравится стоять с Сэмом на каком-нибудь горном склоне и созерцать скопление небоскребов Игра неоднозначна, нужно пробовать, либо вы поймете всю ношу Сэма, либо будете считать это скучным без вкусным игропромом    … Expand

    Simply a masterpiece by Hideo Kojima. I can’t stop playing this game. The story is amazing and the gameplay has a satisfying loop.

    The Infamous Death Stranding, Oh my god! What do I say....The Game is definitely my game of this generation.

    It finally dared to do something greater and unique than most of the AAA games out there! I hope more games try to do something unique even if they don't turn out to be profitable.

    Очень хороший симулятор курьера-грузчика. Интересный гейплей. Глубокая филосовская мысль в корне игры. Сюжет банален, но персонажи на серьезных щах отыгрывают его на все 100 кодзим из 100.

    Kojima made something special. Something, that I'll remember for the rest of my life. Something that made me think about the world in different way.
    In conclusion, this game is not for everyone, but I can't recommend you enough to try it for yourself.

    I am addicted to this game. The simple act of making a delivery, incredibly does not make the game nauseating, but very fun and challenging. You're so sleepy from playing, the game throws you in the face, making you keep playing nonstop. Wonderful game, the best of the year for me.

    Whilst the story starts off slow and fragmented as the first episodes are used to introduce you to the world and the way the network functions. After the, fairly large, third episode it starts to pick up the pace. Then the final few episodes are amazing throwing twist after twist until you reach the climatic ending where you save the earth from the last EE(Extinction event). During this moment there is a cheesy speech about staying connected but overall it was a great ending.

    After the credits there's another 1-2hrs of story where you find out about the entire backstory of your bb (I'll leave this twist to you) with another conclusion that was perfect for the whole setting after the ending of the main story and it leaves the game open for the possibility of a sequel whilst also being satisfying enough to be left as is.

    Gameplay wise, I don't expect death Stranding to be for everyone. I'm going to put it out there right now, the games gameplay for a large portion is just being a delivery guy. But, those moments where you're fighting BTs or in a boss fight easily provide enough variation to keep you satisfied through the sometimes long gaps between story segments.    … Expand

    First 15 hours in and I can already tell that I love everything about this game. Mechanics, pace of the game, design choices, music, environments - last game to put me in such ave was Breath of the Wild. I have never been a dedicated fan of Kojima, but now I definitely am. You have to experience it!

    È come lo era già stato MGS5 un ibrido tra film e videogame. Il gioco va accolto nel proprio mondo videoludico con la giusta sensibilità: può non piacere ovviamente, se la propria sensibilità è "Fortnite è il meglio" ma il videogame come forma d'arte è anche e sopratutto proprio Death Stranding.

    I knew I would love Death Stranding because I'm the kind of gamer that loves exploring open world games, shunning the main story line (Far Cry). I love the micro-management required to develop my charater's abilities (God of War) and the kind of polish that is reserved for only the very best (GT Sport).

Gameplay is innovative and keeps you immmersed on the game. Play it if you have the time to spare. If you just want to turn on the console and shot some people dont go for it.

    This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level.
