    Death Stranding reinvents how video game design can work. It takes you through an experience you didn’t expect, doesn’t hold back with its design intentions and execution, and takes the gamer through a journey like no other. This is a masterpiece that only Kojima could pull off.

    The game contains extremely hard but simple gameplay and very strong philosophy in the same time.The game gives you time in your travels to think. It's like when you stop reading a book for a moment to think harder about it's main point, but it gives you some simple and physically hard gameplay which is not interrupting your thinking process. Not for everybody. For me - excellent.

    This was an absolutely incredible and mind blowing experience. Death stranding is unlike any other game out there so it's a bit unfair to judge it based the standards of most games. Kojima productions has created such an interesting world with a complex, emotional and captivating story that never siezes to amaze you. It also has graphics beyond any other game that is currently available.This was an absolutely incredible and mind blowing experience.     Its only aimed for those that really pay attention to details and don't like the normal games that you just turn on your console, play one match and the screen tells you that you won.     Most people that downvoted this game is because they're just not used to these kind of games, and don't like to inmerse in a game that requires time to understand the story. People that downvoted are usually the ones that expected a fast paced online action shooter with a mediocre story easy to understand with no background or extra work to do to fully understand it.

    Its admirable that Kojima risked everything for this project and definetly this game is not what everyone expected, but its for sure something different. And i liked it.

    Philosophy, human nature, are some stuff that we rarely see in videogames, and EMPATHY is one of the best qualities you must have to understand the story and really enjoy it.    … Expand

    Death stranding é um jogo no qual a história prende você até o fim, a trilha sonora é incrível e os gráficos estão insanos. Recomendo fortemente esse game, muitas pessoas que estão dando críticas negativas nem se quer jogaram o jogo, alguns estão dando críticas negativas só porque o jogo vai sair para PC. Recomendo muito o game!

    A slow paced epic! I loved this game from begging to middle to end, although the first hours are pretty slow, whenever it picks up it's pace it gets incredibly interesting and addicting. And the story... Oh God did I cried.

Честно, ни в одной игре Вы такого саундтрека не услышите! Ни в одной!), хорошая постановка кат-сцен и любопытный сюжет (довольно интригующий, я уже наиграла часов десять, разобралась со всеми терминами, как и что там происходит, но черт возьми ничего не понятно, обычно в играх сначала объясняют в самом начале от чего произошла катастрофа и бросают игрока все исправлять, в этой же похоже все наоборот, сначала исправь, а потом суть катастрофы и объяснят, но мне это интересно! Феномен просто!). В общем, если вы любитель медленного медитативного геймплея, довольно однообразного, но под хорошую музыку, с запутанным сюжетом, вам нравится помогать людям в онлайне, и видеть результаты труда других людей, которые 100% Вам помогут, то вполне вероятно эта игра Вам понравится. PS: не ленитель играть с ББ в персональной комнате, я так один раз скримака словила ;)… Expand

Muchos dicen "pero si es ir del punto A al punto B" pero en Death Stranding no importa ni el punto A ni el punto B, sino, lo que hay entre ambos puntos... puedes hacer el recorrido de muchas formas distintas (faciles o dificiles) yHay que ser objetivo y reconocer que tanto la música, la gráfica y la historia son un 10/10, respecto a la jugabilidad es innovadora, es dinámica y divertida. Muchos dicen "pero si es ir del punto A al punto B" pero en Death Stranding no importa ni el punto A ni el punto B, sino, lo que hay entre ambos puntos... puedes hacer el recorrido de muchas formas distintas (faciles o dificiles) y realmente el sistema online potencia la travesía de una muy buena forma. Si se analiza este juego podría caer dentro de la categoría simulador (si..walking simulator, aunque trekking simulator es mas apropiado) y como todo simulador requiere paciencia, tranquilidad, estudio, preparación y práctica para lograr mejorar. Finalmente cuando logras entregar la carga de la misión y todas las cargas que te atreviste a recoger durante el trayecto te sientes realizado y mas aún cuando sabes que hay mas jugadores haciendo lo mismo y de alguna u otra forma hiciste su trayecto un poco mas fácil dejandoles una ayudita.

    Brillante y Hermoso.

    PD: Les recuerdo que en juegos como League of Legends, Fornite, Call Of duty, FIFA, etc haces siempre lo mismo una y otra vez... no muy alejado de ir de un punto A a un punto B 20 veces.    … Expand

    If you cant sit down for around 10 hours and truly give it time, don't buy it. A lot of people dont take the time to realize their mistakes are easily avoidable (pausing and not moving in rivers restores stamina, you can start finding easier trade routes once bridges are built) and play smarter quickly if you want to learn.     That being said, its the best game I've ever played. I say this as someone having gone from not really playing games anymore to at one point playing for 12 hours straight. Give it time and itll reward you. Play smart and it will reward you. If you wanna just check out and get happy feelings of accomplishment from the very start immediately try something else. If you want to truly enjoy this game theres a lot to like once you keep playing. Spoilers, very light: it is NOT what you get at the start. Its insane. I can see why general public vs game reviewers are so contrasting, though. People that dont need to push on might stop, which is a shame. Once it ramps up it ramps up.     I don't know if it's the amazing graphics or the long journeys through man and ghost-infested lands, but this game "keeps dragging me back in." I've started over already because I feel like I could do better at certain parts and just enjoy the game all over again. This game definitely will be judged by you enjoying what the game has to offer. The immersion, the detail, the sound design, the puzzle of a story, the characters, the unique blend of gameplay mechanics are all sooo fresh feeling in this universe of bland, stale copycat games.     I dont understand all the hate i feel like most people who put negative reviews played alittle or not at all. The more you play this the more intriguing it becomes maybe it isnt for everyone but this game deserves a better score than the one its recieving currently the actors in this game are amazing. From Norman reedus to Mads Mickelson. Even the voice actors like Troy Baker do an amazing job.

    This game is too good. Each time I think the game settled into a loop and mechanics something new and awesome shows up.

    This is a completionist's dream come true. Completing the links, making your own path, awesome unexpected new gear, the graphics... I'm addicted in the best way possible.

    GOTY for me. All that's left is to see what the replay value is.

Just google "Odradek" for instance, an item described as "useless" in Franz Kafkas "Die Sorge des Hausvaters"(1920).     It's basically a supreme metaphor for lootboxes and manages to keep the game mechanics interesting. Oh, and of course the atmosphere and storytelling is superb. Kojima Production has yet again reached a new level for the whole industry.

    Excellent game! This is a new take on gaming and I’m enjoying it to the fullest. Just take your time with it and enjoy it. Controls great and gameplay is intense when in BT territory. Game ideas and new mechanics (hiking gear, and movement physics) are very refreshing. Production values are top notch. If possible make sure you play it on a HDR capable tv it looks really amazing.

    I played only 6 hours and I didn't reach the chapter 3 yet (Kojima says that the good start there), but its a spectular game with a charismatics characters, execelent gameplay and obviusly the most original history I ve see in years

    Very large spaces that are perceived differently than in other games. Amazing mechanics that deepen the gaming experience. Very interesting story and staging in cut scenes. Beautiful graphics and excellent optimization.

    Absolutely love this game. When I speak about the game with my friends I cant explain it. It is just a new genre, which may have huge influence on gaming industry. Feel like there is no genre which fits to this game, you have to explain the story. The story really matters in Death Stranding.     I Need to say that this game is different is probably making a new gender in videogames so many people will not understand it but this game is a masterpiece you feel that you are in the game and not many games give you that feeling is a Beautiful game and is sad to see that people just see it as a walking game but is more than that but i believe this game is done only for chosen people.

If you can appreciate the small details like the environment, atmosphere, attention to detail, ETC and you aren’t a modern day game who expects instant gratification then this game will deliver in time (see what I did there!?).     Best game of the year so far for me. Beautiful world, sometimes calm and peaceful gameplay, other times frightening and terrifying. Soundtrack is amazing. A piece of modern art, only a few can truly understand and feel what kojima wants to transmit with this genious game.

    About 15 hours deep, and i’ve gotta say i’ve loved it from the start. I was expecting it to be so boring from the reviews and I haven’t found it to be so at all. I enjoy the building aspect and whenever i see a camp of mules i’ll usually take them down, or if i want some extra action i’ll let the BTs sweep me away (I won’t say what happens to avoid any small spoilers).     This game is unbelievably good! I was sure I was not gonna like it and I decided not to buy it but I ended up getting it as a present. I was hooked minutes into the game. Great graphics, amazing story, riveting gameplay. There's something magical here for the ones with an open mind to what games can do besides the tried and true. Certainly on my top five of all times.

    Hideo Kojima’s best work yet. The story and characters are super weird and intriguing. The world is incredible. The messages and themes to pick apart are amazing and the cool game systems all work together to form one of the most unique, interesting, and fun experiences I’ve ever seen.

The funniest thing is to get here and see that there are a bunch of idiots who didn't even play the game and many just saw those who spread the hate for being Boxboy fanboys! The interesting thing is that who is really playing the game, is loving the game that tells a story similar to Post Apocalypse where you are lost in nothing and have to find all the resources and develop in the campaign by uniting things and people! Something very different from what they are doing here!     Learn how to play guys. I spent 20h with this game, half of it spent in 2nd location. Got gadgets that make me faster, stronger etc. It's better later than on the begging

    It's a serious game with a great story. Features solid game mechanics, graphics, animations and sound.

    You may not like this game if you have an IQ less than 105, and you should probably stick to the new Modern Warfare which is also a good game by the way, but not as complex to understand.

This is an interstellar sort of game. It takes thinking, and paying close attention to details. I think reviews should only make up a small percentage of a purchasing decision. This is a slow paced game with an enrich story that incrementally gives you reason to keep going but makes it worth it each time. The actors do a tremendous job, especially Norman Reedus. Now if you don’t like him in walking dead then you probably won’t find much in terms of new personality here. But He is the perfect misfit rebel to play this part. The only thing better would be if Jeffrey Dean Morgan would play the villain. The game has a very bizarre story but it interesting all the same. Each climb each fall, each scatter of your belongings can be felt as it seems to be a mountainous climb through the game. But again with a special treat each time you complete a portion. I read so many times BORING if you find creeping through vast open world wondering when your BB is going to pop up and alert you to stop breathing from a nearby BT or struggling to inch up a treacherous and tall terrain fearing you may have stacked too much on your back to make this climb to get to the next part of the well thought out story boring, then to each his/her own. But I was on the edge of my seat trying to make it a short distance to connect another city. PS were more than Amazon delivery personnel. I have to say people are maybe not giving this enough time to develop or not understanding the story line to give some of the reviews I have been reading. I do think many true Kojima fans and metal gear fans will thoroughly enjoy this game. I wish I would see more people speak up and defend his hard work. I love the game and knew going in it would be no Red Dead 2 but its nearly equally interesting only the gameplay is more limited but not much. There is still plenty to do. People are willing to guide a snake around a screen and make the snake bigger as well as other top mobile games like flappy bird come on. This is true gaming entertainment. Give it a go, keep an open mind sit back and enjoy the ride.… Expand

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
