    Seriously, this game is easily one of the best games I have ever played. Its narrative is exactly what can he expected of a hideo game and if you likes the message and story of metal gear you will enjoy the narrative of Desth Stranding.

    At first glanze it is a glorified UPS-simulator set in a post-apocslyptic world, but when the initial dust settled I really love this game.

    It is challenging, deep and sometimes hard to grasp. But all in all it is a fantastic game, whereas the actors really really do a great job. Buy the game now!

    At first it was very overwhelming, but after a few missions it all began to make sense, totally addictive.
    I think Hideo Kojima has to be praised for doing something totally different, I can understand though that some will not get on with it at all. I think it’s amazing once I was past the first few hours.

    As a game it’s Marmite Some will love it Some will hate it

    The first 10 hours are slow, very story driven, and I see why some people may find them boring... I didn't though, I loved the characters and really felt immersed in the world, the gameplay gets very fun after the first part, so much that now i can't stop playing! Every new job gets you new mechanics, new gadgets to use, new environments and challenges.     This game is not boring at all, it might be boring to watch but definitely not boring to play. My only advice is that you progress the story to chapter 4 before really doing all the side quest stuff. It will be a lot easier and more fun thanks to the gadets you’ll unlock during the main campaign. Death stranding is a masterpiece with beautiful graphics and music. And an original and daringThis game is not boring at all, it might be boring to watch but definitely not boring to play.     I cannot believe so many people are giving the game bad reviews. I see countless people saying how it's boring and repetitive. This just isn't the case at all. This has been one of the most refreshing, immersive, and exciting video game experiences I've had in a long time. The story is stellar, the visuals, the music, the game play, are all top notch. If I had to critique anything it would be that the motorcycle is finicky to control, and the menu's can be a little convoluted and confusing at times. People are clearly going brain dead with shooters, apparently not having bullets flying at you non-stop is boring now-a-days. I honestly was scared to buy the game after reading so many bad reviews - but after playing, it became clear to me that the bad reviewers either didn't play the game more than two hours, or they simply have bad taste in video games. It's a shame so many people will end up passing on the game due to the bad ratings. This game will go down in history as a classic, one of the truly great video game experiences that I'm glad I didn't miss out on.… Expand

    Un juego increíble, del cual, sinceramente no esperaba nada, lucía aburrido e inclusive me estaba arrepintiendo de haberlo reservado, sin embargo vaya que es increíble, su mundo, su historia, todo es simplemente épico, salvó pequeños detalles creo que es uno, si no es que mi juego favorito en PS4.

    Innovative, out of mind story, something you've never seen before. Amazing OST with amazing acting and sublime graphics.It literally blows my mind, if I'm not playing the game I will be thinking about it. Not many games have the privilege of doing this to me. Death Stranding is the Game of the Year in my opinion

    Absolutely one of the best games I’ve ever played. It’s So hilarious people (probably Xbox fans) came on metacritic to review bomb it. The ridiculous way that metacritic uses “weighted reviews” means that no game is going to get a fair review as long as there’s money’s involved.

And this is not even mentioning the fascinating story with the best acting I've ever seen in a video game, or the jaw dropping art design/graphics.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Preface: I have not played any MGS games and only have 30hrs played much of which has been sidequests.

    Narrative: An engaging mysterious post apocalypse where people are forced underground from beings from a death dimension "the beach" and rain that ages anything it touches. You play as Sam Porter Bridges one of the few delivery people who brave the elements and dangers of the surface bringing supplies and trying to connect various settlements and bunkers to the Chiral Network (internet). Shenanigans with un-death and terrorists ensue

    Gameplay: This is the bread and butter of the game. You have 4 main types of quest quality, quantity, speed and misc. Where you have to deliver fragile equipment and must not damage the supplies, deliver large volumes of supplies, make a delivery within a limited time frame, and other deliveries such as recovering gear from MULES (fanatical delivery people). On the surface this seems like a boring idea but its the execution that really brings it together. Gathering the supplies, optimizing the route to avoid dangers (or preparing to go through them), reaching your destination by creating paths over rugged terrain via structures you or other players created. That last part of creating paths and structures like roads really cement the loop into a incredibly fun game. Spending hours to gather enough supplies to create new stretches of road to increase the safety and efficiency of deliveries. creating bikes or stealing MULE cars to increase the amount supplies and speed of delivery. Its an engaging and fun design which has me doing side quest after side quest getting materials for buildings to make my paths that much easier for future quests.

    Soundtrack: The soundtrack is incredible and fits the mood extremely well... When it plays. Unfortunately it doesn't play all the time and only during story missions or near a structure playing music. I can understand why thematically its done this way its just unfortunate and wish it was played more often. Sound effects are crunchy and fit very well to actions taken.

    Recommended for anyone who thinks the loop is interesting enough to try. This game is most definitely not for anyone who is not looking for a mostly relaxing game with bouts of anxiety sprinkled throughout.    … Expand

    Jogo superou as minhas expectativas, introduz um sistema de interação social complexo onde é possível ajudar outros jogadores na jornada, até agora joguei mais de 20 horas e não encontrei nenhum bug, e o que mais se destaca é a narrativa excelente.     I'm aware, that the game has its flaws, but it definitely stands out of the grey mass of faceless grindy "games" the only aim of which is to get all the money of the world. The story Kojima tells is strange, but unique, I really see that he and his team have put a lot of effort into developing the world of Death Stranding. The setting, the atmosphere, lore, graphics, music, attention toI'm aware, that the game has its flaws, but it definitely stands out of the grey mass of faceless grindy "games" the only aim of which is to get all the money of the world.     Что-то новое и уникальное, давно не получал таких впечатлений от игры. Это как инди сделанная на уровне ААА. Большим количеством именно игровых условий напоминает настольную игру. Сюжет и сеттинг немного рандомны но очень нестандартны и креативны.
    Рекомендую взрослым людям которые вдумчиво подходят к игровому процессу. Не знаю гений ли Кодзима но он определенно хорош.     Все кто пишут что в игре нехуй делать либо не играли в нее, либо 2 часа стрима посмотрели.     Death stranding es un juego que no es para todos, es lento al inicio, frustrante, pero conforme avanzas, la historia se vuelve más intrigante, las misiones son más gratificantes, es innovador en sus mecánicas, adictivo, y sin duda alguna un juego único, que a pesar de estar rodeado de polémica y reseñas variadas, tiene momentos muy épicos y memorables.

    Finally, something different in the game's world!
    I was not expecting a great game from Kojima after the last MGSV, cause honestly, I didn't like it. But Death stranding is a pleasant surprise for me. I liked all. The visual, the story, the concept, graphics etc.
    For me, it is to our generation, like shadow of the colossus was in its age.

    Grafica che spreme al massimo la Ps4 Pro, Gameplay criticato ma che invece a mio avviso è la forza di questo gioco che lo avvicina molto a Shadow of the Colossus, Trama e Cutscene da Oscar, il tutto condito da una    Un'opera sopra le righe, difficile da descrivere, un mix di emozioni che avvicina questo titolo di Kojima più ad una vera è proprio esperienza che ad un classico Videogioco.

    It's a real shame this game isn't another derivative shooter or 3rd person action game because then it would have been a lot of fun instead of making me use my brain to make moment to moment decisions about navigating terrain in an extremely well designed and beautiful game world. I would have appreciated a little less Tarkovsky and A LOT more Michael Bay if that makes sense. Kojima and Sony should give up the ghost and realize what we players really want is annual iterations of the same game with slightly updated graphics, micro transaction schemes, and a lot more guns. This trash reminds me of another trash game you might remember called Shadow of the Colossus where they asked me to ride around on a horse BY MYSELF, other than the horse, and DO NOTHING for hours while I aimlessly rode around looking for giant monsters to kill. I need something a little less obtuse okay. I mean, who has time for this kind of pretentious garbage? What I really could get behind is playing the same 15/20 minute sequences on the same map for hours on end. That's what really helps me get my rocks off naw mean.     It's a shame some players bought it expecting another "Call of Duty like game".
    I agree with another comment that says you gotta have a minimum of 120 IQ to play this game.
    Kojima released a 49 minutes long video explaining every concept of the game, still people thought it would be another COD. Hilarious.

    So far it's a new adventure for a video game, I can see it does take turns with how the story is laid out. It's most definitely for people who are tolerant & love a promising fantasy & Imagination.

    This game is polarizing for some...but do not believe the "shallow walking simulator" complaints. It is a game about deliveries from point A to point B, yes...but the gameplay is refined and the decisions made while going from point A to point B...what you are carrying, how to approach an objective, inventory management, and smooth controls make this game one of my favorites of all time!

    For anyone tired of the same old game with a different skin. Addictive gameplay, interesting story and unique online elements make this the best game I’ve played in a long time. If you are looking for the same old just buy Call of Duty and stop hating on this game.

    Along with red dead redemption 2, it’s the best single player game of this generation by a mile. Pure video game art, great/interesting/very different gameplay and atmosphere. We need more games like this, it’s so different and a breath of fresh air. 20 hours in and it gets better and better gameplay wise as you unlock more mechanics. The story speaks for itself, it’s litterly awesome.Along with red dead redemption 2, it’s the best single player game of this generation by a mile. Pure video game art, great/interesting/very different gameplay and atmosphere. We need more games like this, it’s so different and a breath of fresh air. 20 hours in and it gets better and better gameplay wise as you unlock more mechanics.     En un buen principio te ametrallarán con cinemáticas largas pero entretenidas, ya que te van explicando poco a poco que está pasando en este mundo y el porqué de que seas “repartidor”, ademas te dirán un montón de términos extraños que pensaras: mmmm...de qué narices me hablan, pero gracias a los e-Mail que te envían los pnj, de las mismas cinemáticas que he mencionado antes y él gameplay , te irás dando cuenta de que ha pasado y que está pasando en el juego.
    Puede que las primeras horas, se vuelvan un poco lentas, pero poco a poco, no te darás cuenta y ya estarás enganchado.
    Según mi parecer la historia está resultando ser de 10 sin duda, y en cuanto el gameplay me parece correcto la verdad, no esperéis ningún shooter porque no lo es, tiene mecánicas de este pero para nada es parecido a los que conocemos. Hemos de tener en cuenta que el personaje que manejamos no es ningún militar ni nada por el estilo es un simple repartidor, así que experiencia con armas tiene las justas y creo que se demuestra en el mismo juego, cosa que le da su atractivo.
    La música es fenomenal, me encanta además que la ponen en momentos clave de la historia para que emocione mas el momento y tema gráficos, son una delicia la verdad, animaciones curradisimas tanto en cinemática como en gameplay.
    Entrando de nuevo en la historia, sabéis ese tipo de acontecimientos, relatos, películas o libros que una vez se acaban, te vas a internet o te los vuelves a leer escuchar o mirar porque necesitas entender bien de que se trata todo, porque crees que lo sabes pero a la vez tienes la sensación que algo se te escapa?
    Pues esta es la sensación que me da Death Stranding y ¡me encanta!

    Si os gustan las buenas historias y queréis romper un poco con la jugavilidad típica Que se ve últimamente en los videojuegos, os lo recomiendo sin lugar a dudas.

    Mega Spiel am Anfang hatte ich das kaum auf dem Schirm. War mehr eine spontane Idee und mittlerweile hab ich stolze 20-30 h schon reingesteckt. Es ist definitiv mal was anderes. Mir macht es Spaß mir mein eigenen Weg zum Ziel zu suchen, die Story war anfangs etwas verwirrend doch mit der Zeit klärt sich vieles auf bin gespannt was noch kommt

    My type of game. Gripping World and narrative, undenyingly beautiful, truly original, relaxing and horrifying at regular intervals... about 15-20 hours in and going to take my sweet time. I think we are going to look back at this title in 10 years and only then realise how truly special this actually is. Also love the soundtrack... PS The metal gear games were NOT my cup of tea at all,My type of game.     A thoroughly enjoyable game with excellent gameplay mechanics, an engaging story, an online system that works and is explained in game. My only caveat is that this game is most certainly NOT for everyone. At its heart it is a “walking simulator” and if you don’t enjoy that style of game then you aren’t likely to enjoy this.

    On this game I’ve enjoyed myself a lot. It’s a chill game. I’m not bored by the walking. That’s what I enjoy. Just chill for a while while walking through the beautiful landscape. The story is really engaging and interesting too.

    Las mecanicas de Sedentarismo le han quedado como anillo al dedo, el tema de tener que revisar tu peso y el equilibrio esta muy bien hecho, eso si no es un juego para todo publico, es como el cine extranjero, algo diferente y extraño.

    This is a beautiful masterpiece. While I love games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and Call of Duty, it is refreshing to play a game where combat isn't a focus. Where connecting, encouraging, and helping other players is a major focus. The soundtrack is phenomenal and the visuals are stunning. I actively look forward coming home after work and playing as much as I can.

    Above are the games I've completed but there are others I've yet to finish (Blasphemous, Yooka Laylee just to name a couple). Up until now Sekiro was at the absolute top of my GOTY shortlist, it's quite simply another FROM masterpiece. I'm currently about 20 hours into DS and - though I'll reserve my final verdict until after I've finished it - I'm quite confident saying it will be my GOTY, I've never played anything like it.

    DS is mesmerizing, methodical and brilliant. Every element from the breathtaking landscapes, OST, cinematics, traversal and unique gameplay systems underpinning the fascinating narrative is really something special. Nevermind the ingenious multiplayer integration, it takes ideas from Souls and creates something on an entirely new level, dare I say it, a new *genre*. The fact is nobody *but* Kojima could make something like this and the gaming industry should thank it's lucky stars he's creating in the medium we love and cherish so much. Cookie cutter games are a dime a dozen, let's celebrate originality and bold vision, I don't expect everyone to love it but I'd hope respect is given where it's due.    … Expand

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
