    Game has phenomenal music and graphics.
    Since I wasnt even looking for an Action packed game (was never advertised as one) I must day iz later on had a lot of Action actually... in a positive way since it didnt Interrupt or ruin the chill nature of the game and the brillant story

    This game is a totally unique experience, it starts with a bang but then slows down for the first few hours but as you get further into it the better it gets. The likes system is brilliant and quite addictive, it’s also great how the community comes together.

    Death Stranding will not be for everybody. It seems meticulously engineered for a pretty specific kind of nerd. My wife, for example, loves this game, and when she loves a game, she dumps hundreds of hours into it. Me? I merely like this game, and probably wouldn’t invest a bunch of time into it were it not for work.     One of the best games I've ever played. Tranquil, with enough tension to keep you going. Amazing voice acting, great cinematics and beautiful landscapes. A must for any narrative driven AAA gamer.

    The story is interesting and engaging, the gameplay is fun and relaxing . Kojima is one of the best video game content producers. I enjoyed it very much.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is one of the best games I've ever played with and it's a real shame to see such a low grade. The first two chapters are slow but they are meant to be so! It's the beginning of the journey and you are meant to endure hardships if you have little to none connections with others to help you. Keep playing and you see a majestic story starting to unfold. The characters are well developed and, in my opinion, Sam really resonates with the player. The graphic is incredible and the enemies are really creepy. Are the fights hard? No. And with good reason. Because they aren't the point of the game. The point is not the fighting, it is the quests to connect all the stations. The realization that when pooling all your resources together with other player you build roads that help everybody. Please give this game a fair chance. It's very different so it takes a moment longer to deeply understand its message.… Expand

    50 hours in and this is the best game of 2019 easily. Something new and different. Take a break from same old battle royal and fps come reconnect with kojima.

    Death Stranding is an incredible experience.
    You are alone but connected to all the other players, and this feeling is strange. You help them and they help you too. It's not a simple "game", it's clearly more than that.
    The story is amazing, Kojima plays with you until the end.

    You can't judge Death Stranding with some videos, you have to play it.

    It's sad to see everyone calling the other stupid for liking OR not liking the game, also for the several reviews that aren't reviews, for the simple reason that in order to review a game, you have to play it, while others are for sure real and honest, but seems to be less than half of them.
    That being said:
    PROS: -The gameplay is addictive, and no it's not because the "like" system,    It's sad to see everyone calling the other stupid for liking OR not liking the game, also for the several reviews that aren't reviews, for the simple reason that in order to review a game, you have to play it, while others are for sure real and honest, but seems to be less than half of them.
    That being said:

    PROS:
    -The gameplay is addictive, and no it's not because the "like" system, it really encourages cooperation and empathy when you find useful tools put by other people in your way, you end doing the same and feeling good about it. From sharing tools to rebuild the roads, you can see how it affects other people's gameplay.
    -Graphics are top-notch
    -The story is interesting, tho this is subjective, but at least animations and character models are really well done.

    CONS:
    -The gameplay mechanics are very specific, it means variety is not the key, like popular games do (where you have a variety of mechanics or either simple mechanics), so it won't appeal a very big audience, while the mechanics themselves vary through the game, but if you don't enjoy games like JOURNEY or TRUCK SIMULATOR (with a bit of fight and stealth) and the traversals on RDR2, you might not like this game at all.

    Since the cons are pretty much a subjective personal thing, and not really objective, It stays as a 10 to me.    … Expand

If you're into game that involves lots of walking traversing, micromanaging your equipment, games more story derivative then you will like this game. With that being said, I want to tell you that if you play this and you’re patient or sneaky enough. You will only haveDeath Stranding is a new experience. With that being said, I want to tell you that if you play this and you’re patient or sneaky enough. You will only have a few encounter that involve gunplay or any fights. It’s up to you how you play it. It’s possible you’ll only have to shoot the bosses. This is not metal gear solid, this is a new IP. Go in with a blank slate. There’s quite a few chapters in this game, by the time I reached chapter 3 I found myself doing deliveries that weren’t progressing my story. I just found myself enjoying making deliveries and finding new paths. Gathering materials and building structures that would help others. My biggest goal ended up being as helpful as I could to people I’ll never interact with. Sure I might get some likes but that’s it.. You know what though? That felt good. This game takes away what you’re used to. Friendly competition, toxic competition, competition in general. You want to help and others love to help. There was on portion of the story that felt a little forced, without spoiling anything I’ll say it involves a junkyard. That one bit though doesn’t justify a deduction in score. This game is a 10/10 for me. A truly unique and fun experience. Too many reviews on here are from people that never played the game, or only played a few hours expecting an action packed standard AAA game. There is action, and you can seek it out if you’d like.     Didn't think I would like this, but if someone knows how to make transporting goods fun, it's Hideo Kojima. After the first 8 hours or so you'll immediately be thankful you stuck with it. Things open up and reward you for sticking through to the end. A must-have for fans of The Last of Us, Horizon Zero Dawn, or Metal Gear Solid.

    Only other Kojima game I’ve played is MGS5. I didn’t really like that as much. Did I enjoy the time I’ve spent so far? Yes, Thoroughly. Will you? Depends on what you want and expect I suppose. But there’s no in between, love it or hate it. Game is absolutely beautiful. Gameplay is good could be better. Progression felt consistent, and even fast at times if you know what you are doing. ButOnly other Kojima game I’ve played is MGS5. I didn’t really like that as much. Did I enjoy the time I’ve spent so far? Yes, Thoroughly. Will you? Depends on what you want and expect I suppose. But there’s no in between, love it or hate it. Game is absolutely beautiful. Gameplay is good could be better. Progression felt consistent, and even fast at times if you know what you are doing. But is reliant on doing “non” story progressing missions.

    Combat fairly shallow, high incentives to “go loud”. Stealth feels awesome early on gets progressively easier as you learn mechanics.

    this game is probably my game of the year for me and I can’t stop playing it. The online aspects and decision making on what deliveries I will make based on other players and progressing the story feels good. The environment and traversal feel great and satisfying. The sound design is stellar. It’s just a comfy ass game. Anyone else ? Also I have to say, working with other players I have bridge connections with to make the roads in the knot city area is one of my favorite gaming moments top 20 or something. The place went to covered in rocks to slowly but surely pooling materials together to make the roads. Feels good logging on to tons of “likes” from off the beaten path generators I put up or the highways I’ve helped contribute to. It’s amazing. I also love despite how simple the game is in scope , the menus and stuff are full Kojima like mgs v on steroids: it’s still a video game ass video game in many ways despite going for the cinematic kudos.     The Game is good, I enjoyed it with the closed eyes. The game can be boring for most the kids.

    Seriously, if you don't like this game or you didn't even play it then, get away from here, do you like losing your time? Your life and your youth is too short to be losing it this way.

    Adventure games are a dime a dozen. Uncharted captured action with charm while treasure hunting. The Witcher series gave you complex choices in a fantasy setting with a great world to explore. Death stranding takes you into a place unfamiliar with concepts related to gaming. .

    It is a phenomena where one person experiences time differently from the outside world. You may have experience this in Outer Worlds recently. During my 30+ years of gaming life, I have experienced this on only a handful of occasions where I literally lost track of time while playing a particular game. You tend to be more easily impressed when you are younger but as the    Time Dilation.

You tend to be more easily impressed when you are younger but as the years piled up, you become more jaded towards games as the mechanics remained the same while graphics continued to improve and franchise sequels dominate the landscape.

    Similar to what Martin Scorsese wrote in his NY Times ‘s opinion about movies as a medium, there is increasingly lack of an element of risk to these franchise sequels or well-trodden genre games. Don’t get me wrong, Outer Worlds was a fantastic game, I lapped it up eagerly as I hungered for a sequel to Fallout 4 and in truth, it was indeed very well made. Nevertheless, when the final credits rolled, I felt then that I have seen it all before and I found myself struggling to hop on for another run.

    With Death Stranding, yes, it can be a tedious game during parts and the UI can be intimidating with limited tutorials but boy, am I lost in time when I become completely immerse in this world created by Hideo Kojima. I often start off with a simple delivery while it is bright outside and, without realizing it, ended up well into the evening by the time I successfully connected more cities to the Chiral network. Time dilation that I experienced is a reflection of how immersive and successfully this game is. Stripping away the beautiful visuals, the captivating sound track and celebrities’ appearances, it is simply a single player lonely experience in an empty world longing for connection much like the people in UCA. Through hardships in making the arduous journey in reconnecting, the lonely world suddenly lights up with evidence of others tireless improving this once emptied place and turning it into a collaborative playground. It is fitting that the players’ experiences in the game mirror the struggles of those Kojima depicted within the game.

    Much like what another reviewer said in his/her piece, the time to play Death Stranding is now, the playground is at its infancy but like many pioneers before us, those brave enough to take the risks will be rewarded with an experience rarely enjoyed through this wonderful medium called video games. To this end, I applaud Hideo Kojima for being able to bring his visions to this AAA budget project while still be willing to take the risks of making such a unique gem.

    Very well made. The games story starts off a little slow but the gameplay starts fast. Beautifully paced mixing the gameplay with cut scenes to help you really get into the world. You do need to understand this is a story base game. It’s not a run gun game. It’s more about out thinking the world.

    This game rewards those with patience. I believe most negative reviews didn't make it past chapter 2 or 3 and formed their opinions too quick. I am still unlocking and learning things after 50 hours of gameplay. Overall I am recommending this to my friends but telling them to be prepared to invest a lot of time and try to get past the first 3 chapters.

From the gameplay, to the connections you make along the way, even without shaking hands. The open-minded player becomes invested in every single character in the game, and don't even get me started on Higgs, absolutely beautiful character design. "The particle of God that permeates all exist." That line will never leave my head. One of my favorite villains in my game history. For me personally, this is one of the best games of the year on a par with sekiro shadows die twice, I frankly do not understand how you can cheat the game and put units, it seems that people who dirty the game did not play even 10 or even 5 hours into it. Calling a game a walking simulator is like calling every modern duck shoot shooter, according to such stupid logic, you can call mario a walking simulator or the legend of zelda breath of the wild (which I also went through and consider a **** game, but there’s no less than walking in Zelda). It is ironic that a game in which the main idea is a union of people has ruined the gaming community into two warring camps.     I love Kojima's touch, his sense of detail, his power to transport the player to another world. He takes the risk of proposing something new and for me the bet is successful.
    The systemic side of the game offers really extraordinary experiences, I had sensations that had never felt in any other game.

    Now I still have some severe criticism, especially on the physics of vehicles, which seems to me too rigid and capricious.
    Another point that almost ruin all my gaming experience is the interface, which is really overloaded, and which is not very big sometimes becomes unreadable.
    There is a sense of information spam at the beginning of the game that could repel some player.

Now the music, the music is so damn good, at the end of the story when all the pieces start coming together, the music gives it a backup punch to your feels, I'm talking to you BB's theme.
    The pseudo-multiplayer system in place is quite interesting, I found later, quite an interesting thing that happens when you die regarding that system, anyway the other player's actions help you a bunch in many areas, from bikes and cars to damn rocket launchers.
    I do dislike a lot that many people are just putting 0 in the review and review bomb this game even when they haven't played it, this game is not a 0 even if you don't like the walking, is not a 10 i'll be honest, I just placed it to balance the 0s    … Expand

Ты наслаждаешься видами, изучаешь мир, постоянно думаешь: каким путем пойти, что с собой взять, какую постройку возвести и где. С каждым эпизодом ты начинаешь все больше привязываться к главному герою, а чем дальше, тем игра старается выбить из тебя все больше эмоций. Под конец тебя уже никак не смущает, что сейчас придется тащиться через весь континент обратно к какой-то точке, потому что ты начинаешь иначе смотреть на все это.
    Честно признаться, после первых обзоров и рецензий мне стало не по себе, тк многие отзывались об игре негативно, мол реально игра про доставщика и ничего кроме и внушив себе это, первые эпизоды проходились с какой-то тоской. Но после мое мнение поменялось, как и поменялось мнение тех обзорщиков :)    … Expand

Está claro que no es para todo el mundo, a muchas la propuesta jugable no les gustará, pero a mi me ha encantado, desde los paisajes, la jugabilidad, las físicas, el multijugador de cooperación y los likes, pero sobretodo la historia. Empieza lenta, pero va ganando en intensidad hasta llegar al tercio final del juego que es una absoluta maravilla. Un juegoHe disfrutado un montón el juego. Gameplay is very specific and in demands a different understanding. It is not a gun and run or RPG style it does take a little from them but it has created its own footstep in the    Prefect Game in my opinion.

    Don't understand people who write "Game is garbage" or "It's not even a video-game". I have already played about 7 hours and can definitely say: THIS. IS. AMAZING. This relaxing and calm world gives you a deeper feeling of the whole world and its catastrophe. I can write a lot about cutscenes settings, but I will describe it with only one word: GENIUS

Accepting a delivery and planning your route, as well as what to bring, is a very fun gameplay loop (for me). Expanding the chiral network allows you to build structures to make your trip easier. This is where the multiplayer aspect kicks in. YouWhile this game is definitely not for everyone, I loved every minute of it. Kojima created a game where the main antagonist is the environment. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.
