    Впервые оставляю здесь отзыв, так как считаю незаслуженно заниженным рейтинг игры! Так как большинство игр перестали быть чем-то новым, а по большей части занимаются самокопированием. Здесь же игровые механики вплетены в сеттинг таким образом чтобы передать игроку ощущение персонажа в контексте игры и его действий, играть от этого свежо и интересно. Асинхронный мультиплеер даёт возможность почувствовать онлайн составляющую по новому, где основная идея палок и верёвок раскрывается через игровой процесс и временами выручает в трудных ситуациях. Большую часть игры вашим главным врагом будет природа, она не зло и не добро, у неё свои условия и вам так или иначе прийдется под неё подстраиваться, именно в таком ключе онлайн взаимодействие идёт не против друг друга, а «ЗА». Прибавьте к этому проработанный лор, шикарнейший сюжет и правильно подобранную музыку! 10/10… Expand

    An original & brave work for those who choose to invest in it. The game loop is absolutely compelling, I can't put it down. This has all the sensibilities of the deep & unique experience that usually only exists in the indie game arena because big publishers won't touch it. Kojima's unique financial status had brought a triple 'A' budget & production to a completely different gaming concept while creating a beautiful, believable, online open world coupled with perfectly tweaked, complex RPG systems. Some of the lore & narrative is cringe worthy, appearing deliberately obtuse for weirdness sake. His humour is often unsubtle & crude at times but in essence, this is an incredible, brave & totally original game & as a designer he should be applauded for its beauty, tion to detail & the previously unparalleled sense of cooperation it achieves for an online game.     This game came out exactly when I needed it. It's not for everyone, but got me it was just what I was looking for. In the midst of a cross-country move. Feeling alone, afraid, and full of anxiety. While this game mirrors the feelings I am having, it shows me that I am never alone.

    I just finished Death Stranding after about 120 hours of playing, and it was an amazing experience. The story was absolutely mindblowing, told with superb acting and motion capture, in perfect looking cut scenes. The gameplay was absolutely immersive and fun, I loved just walking around and taking in the scenery, meeting NPCs along the way, listening to music, even the horror-like scenes when I came to close to BTs (truly scary).
    I find no flaws with this game, other than it's "hater-base".    … Expand

    I love the idea of "chill gameplay" where you walk around stunning landscapes transporting cargo, listening to great music by Low Roar... it was absolutely delightful!
    The relaxing aspect switches out regularly for a more stressful and frightening one when you must travel through BT or enemy territory, or cross over especially dangerous terrain.    One of the best games I played in years!
    I love the idea of "chill gameplay" where you walk around stunning landscapes transporting cargo, listening to great music by Low Roar... it was absolutely delightful!
    The relaxing aspect switches out regularly for a more stressful and frightening one when you must travel through BT or enemy territory, or cross over especially dangerous terrain. It's very well balanced.
    The story was BREATHTAKING! I absolutely loved it so much! It was the best video game story I played in ages... I can't even compare it to anything! If you like dark supernatural stuff, you'll love this!
    Also, great acting especially by Norman Reedus and Tommie Earl Jenkins - the mo cap is unreal!
    I believe that there are people who will find the gameplay rather boring, but if you are someone who can put a bit of thought into your games and like hidden gems like Shadow of the Colossus, then try Death Stranding and you won't be disappointed!    … Expand

    This game is so emotional and deep like nothing I've experienced in a long while. It became one of my top favorite of all time games during the ~100 hours I played so far (and I'm not done). The story is so beautiful and dark and twisted... exactly what I enjoy!     проект в целом воплощает новинку в геймдеве в сочной обертке рекламных роликов и сопровождается всесторонними выкриками: КОДЗИМА - ГЕНИЙ. Т.к. я игру не прошел не могу пока ничего сказать о верности этого высказывания.     Лучшая игра в этом унылом для игровой индустрии 2019 году. Арт-проект. Не понимаю почему у игроков так бомбит с того что в игре абсолютно мало насилия и много сюжета и драмы. Мне понравилась.

    I was extremely hyped for this game from the first live E3 trailer, and i can easily say, that it lived up to its expectations, and brought even more. For me, this game is an absolute masterpiece and a piece of art. I can see why this is the game that mister Kojima always wanted to make. You can really feel the love and passion that they put in this beautiful game. Gameplay, graphics,I was extremely hyped for this game from the first live E3 trailer, and i can easily say, that it lived up to its expectations, and brought even more. For me, this game is an absolute masterpiece and a piece of art. I can see why this is the game that mister Kojima always wanted to make. You can really feel the love and passion that they put in this beautiful game. Gameplay, graphics, music, attention to detail, and all that carried by an absolutely stunning story.     Without spoilers. I'm 60hrs plus into this game and with each lodgement of 10hr blocks this game just keeps getting better and better. The trailers really show nothing of endgame content. A true masterclass in sound , visuals and story telling. I can say after watching all the trailers they don't even scratch the surface of how axing thus game is.

The ideas and the cutscenes just stayed in my head ever since and I couldn't stop thinking about it. It becomes much more rewarding and entertaining. The characters and story are great. Its a bit jarring at first but starts to explain a lot by the end. The ending is just WOW!!     Wonderful game experience. Kojima create a new type of gameplay which focus more on progress than result. Deliver and walk may looks boring at first but then I recognize how interesting it is. The feeling that connecting whole world is so amazing. I love this story, I love Death Stranding!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Divisive? Yes. Fantastical? Yes. Mundane? At its' Best. Make no mistake about it, Death Stranding offers a satisfaction not offered by other games.

    -Have you ever considered how Mario must feel bouncing place to place only to find out his Princess is in another Castle?

    -Have you ever considered Pac-Man's personal thoughts in regards to infinitely running in a maze and depending on dots to keep him safe from ghosts?

    -Have you ever watched someone else play a game and just wish there was some way you could shed some light, a tool, or a tip to help them overcome something you had trouble with?

    Death Stranding does all of this with incredible graphics and enticingly gripping Gameplay that goes as deep as you would like it too. Do you really want to walk everywhere? Feel free- you can build roads. zipline networks. vehicles. powered exo skeletons for speed, weight, terrain, and a plethora of crazy and familiar weapons if you want to go on a knock-out OR killing spree. Sure, the game is way harder if you decide to kill people- but if you want it, it's there.

    People saying this game is just walking? Fooled me- I'm starting my second playthrough and here's what I got: Death Stranding is a game about Deliveries, a game with a great combat system, a game with an intuitive movement system, a game with monster hunter style boss fights, stealth sections, and player collaboration. Want to Hoverboard down a mountain? Go for it. Want to setup a Snowboard course? Go for it. Want a really good movie? Set it on Very Easy. Want a gripping gaming experience? Set it to Hard.

    Death Stranding is a lot of things- A Walking Simulator it is not. Out of the 183 hours I've played, I've maybe spent 6 of them walking and 157 hours raiding with riot guns and sleeping gas nade launchers, hauling bodies, hunting phantasmal beasts and stocking other players with super fun toys.    … Expand

    Esse jogo é fantástico, tem uma jogabilidade unica, a proposta do jogo de unir a nação funciona de uma forma espetacular com o novo gênero criado por Kojima, você sente que mesmo sem ver os outros jogadores vale a pena ajuda-los seja deixando uma escada, corda ou mesmo uma placa indicando que o caminho é perigoso ou se tem algo útil, a historia desse jogo é completamente fora da curva com seu ápice emocional ao fim do jogo, eu poderia falar sobre mas eu odiaria estragar a experiencia de alguém contanto qualquer coisa sobre a historia. Agora com 50 horas de jogo eu conclui e meu unico desejo seria esquecer toda historia e jogar novamente pra sentir a mesma coisa que senti a primeira vez que joguei.

    Esse é um jogo que todos deveriam jogar, pois em uma época de jogos Battle Royale, onde a proposta é apenas um sobrevive e vence, Kojima lançou um jogo que a proposta é todos se ajudarem para vencer.

It is a wonderful game with original ideas, stunningly beautiful graphics gripping story & dialogue & music. The meat of the game is about connection with other players and even the NPCs. Its not about shooting. Even though I must admit the parts where you shoot, are very satisfying. Everything even the clunkyness of shooting was made completely on    NO SPOILER

    Мне игра понравилась и я от неё получил и удовольствие с кайфом и примерно то, что ожидал от Кодзимы (с чьими играми я знаком). Мне было очень интересно на протяжении всей игры а финал меня не только не разочаровал, но и очень даже зацепил.
    Лично для меня Death Stranding - это игра года.    Мне игра понравилась и я от неё получил и удовольствие с кайфом и примерно то, что ожидал от Кодзимы (с чьими играми я знаком). Мне было очень интересно на протяжении всей игры а финал меня не только не разочаровал, но и очень даже зацепил.
    Лично для меня Death Stranding - это игра года.

    O jogo e magnífico, achei orgânico o desenrolar da trama, ótima jogabilidade, o jogo conta com uma abordagem nova na jogabilidade onde vc não precisa ficar matando inimigos o tempo todo, mas nem por isso o jogo e sem ação, muito pelo contrário a momentos de perder o fôlego.
    Sim esse e mais uma obra prima do Kojima.

I am simply rating it a 10 to combat the ridiculous review bombing coming from people who can't be bothered to allow the game to get going and truly show off what it has to offer, and giving the game a 0 is absolutely absurd. This game, for me, is 9/10. I found the gameplay strangely addictive (something I want expecting after seeing the somewhat mediocre reviews). The story is my favourite that has been told by a video game this generation (the last of us clearly being last generations) and once it eventually gets going it is simply a masterclass in storytelling. It has one of the best ending to a video game on years. The only thing holding me back from giving Death Stranding a 10 is the clunky combat mechanics and the fact that it does ask the player to be very patient in order to allow the game to get going, but it is worth it. This is quite easily my game of the generation, but I can see why some people don't like it.… Expand

    Not for everybody, but definitely a game for me. The story, game design, soundtrack and gameplay is so unique, awesome and brave. A breath of fresh air in an industry that is mostly driven by sales numbers, Death Stranding makes you strive, connect with other players and appreciate the journey as well as the goal.

    This game is one of the few games in my life that sucks me in in such a way that I cannot get it out of my mind no matter how hard I try. I absolutely loved the story and the gameplay is brilliant once you understand how it all works and why it’s designed the way it is. In the first several hours you’re merely a courier delivering cargo and trying to connect outposts and build a new network of knowledge and data across a post-apocalyptic America. As you progress from east to west and the network’s wealth of knowledge and data grows larger you begin to connect with other porter’s built structures and the story really fills out. I love how the game starts you off with a whole bunch of disadvantages but once you accomplish a new connection you unlock the area’s structures made by other players, which is one of the coolest multiplayer ideas I’ve seen. You’re forced through the grind with no structures, and no guidance for how to get to the destination, and your rewarded with a right of passage and progress in the story, which really ups the sense of accomplishment and makes you feel almost compelled to hold off on progress for a few hours to work on roads and zip line networks to make the travel more convenient for you and for your fellow players to access when they unlock the new connection. The story is 100% Kojima, and I would argue his best story to date, albeit probably his longest as well. It definitely helps to have amazing acting by everyone in the cast and among the best looking visuals you can find today in games, all of it does a great job at really immersing you in the world, and emotionally connecting you to every twist and turn the game throws at you, and there are a BUNCH of out of left field turns that the game takes, which make very little sense at first, but really come together in the end. As is tradition once you finish the final antagonist encounter in the game you’re met with over 3 hours of interactive cut scenes but they help to tie up all the loose ends. I admit that there are some sections in the end that really drag on for a lot longer than they have to - and strangely the main part in mind is an interactive part - but all the same it all draws toward a very fulfilling conclusion..

    Would I recommend this game to everyone? Hell no - but not because it wasn’t amazing, simply because it takes a certain type of patience to allow yourself to grind your way through the initial few hours before things really kick off, and some of the longer subsequent periods where you need to spend time travelling long distances with minimal activity at times, but your experience is dictated by the player. You can choose to avoid (many) encounters whether with BTs, Mules, and even some of the mini-bosses, or you can face them all head on and fill the game with thrilling encounters, and that’s one of the things I really love about it, but is an acquired taste for sure. I played for nearly 80 hours before completing the story but nearly half of that time was staying back and building structures for other players and for myself to have an easier go at the traveling parts, which made side missions more tempting to do and it was easy to get lost in it, but it’s not that essential, it just makes the later parts (especially really close to the end) a whole lot easier and more rewarding. I absolutely loved this game and since there are things to do when the game is over I’ll probably continue to expand the infrastructure and finish off more of the side missions from time to time. If your looking for a game with a compelling story, a combination of peaceful exploration to high Adrenalin battle encounters (some of which that can REALLY surprise you), and if you have the patience to put yourself through a bit of hell to get through it, then it’s an absolute must-play.    … Expand

    I ended up hating this game the first few missions but now that I spent numerous hours I can't stop playing and building roads, zip lines and figuring out new paths. Also now have a large arsenal of equipment to deal with all kinds of situations.

    One of the most (if not the most) beautiful, original stories I have ever experienced. However the gameplay is what garners most of the "flack" from online communities, not the story. All I can say is know what you're getting into, a lot of people were disappointed with how it turned out because it wasn't how they in vision ed it, which is fine

    Kojima destroys the current game concept with this masterpiece. Articulated plot and excellent gameplay (for those who appreciate it) are the strong points of the game.
    Unfortunately it is not a game that everyone can understand, but you really need to play it. I am very sad because many people put negative reviews without even having played, but only because "it's cool".

    I think most of the negative reviews are people who didn't get past the first few chapters because it does start off very slow and/or they're accustomed CoD style game play and need the constant stimulation to stay focused. After the first few hours you will spend far less time on your feet and mostly behind the wheel of a vehicle.

    If you come into this game looking for something fasted paced and need that to stay motivated to play, you're probably not going to have fun. If you're a bit more strategic minded and don't mind a 3rd person shooter, a walking simulator, and everything in between you will like it. Personally the gameplay gave me the vibes I got from The Last of US, another game I loved. They both transcend simple game play and blur the lines between cinema and video games.    … Expand

    First off, ignore the review bombers. The average gamer is fairly retarded. Make no mistake, this is not a game for everyone, I suggest really considering what you look for in a game. It has action, but it's not the focus. No, it's not JUST a walking simulator. It has an endless supply of guns, grenades, rocket launchers, and anti-LGBT (ghost) weapons.

    It starts off more like a slow paced stealth game. You don't have a lot of tools at the beginning and the game focuses on story telling for the first few hours. This is where most players give up, because they try and play like its Fortnite or Call of Duty, sprinting everywhere and trying to fight everything. You just can't play with that mindset, and if that's the type of game you're looking for, just close this page and walk away.

    This is closer to a story focused RPG than it is an action game. Yes the main focus is delivering packages through an endless amount of terrains and areas, from scary as **** haunted house type areas, to long corridors of a destroyed city, or through an absolutely massive open world with dynamic environments like snow, rain and even boulders falling down hills. It's all about getting from point A to point B safely, using tools like grappling hooks, ladders, and sticky guns to find and retrieve cargo. Balancing is hard early on, and forces you to move slowly to learn. Once you get the hang of it, and upgrade stats and equipment, it gets easier.

    There are numerous vehicles, motorcycles that focus on speed or trucks that can carry huge amounts of cargo and make long distance deliveries a breeze.

    The game's action is centered around farming materials at terrorist camps so you can build and maintain numerous types of structures in the open world, as well as roads, to boss fights which are the central part of story progression.

    And let me tell you; these are some of the best boss fights you'll experience in gaming. Think shadow of colossus meets god of war, meets metal gear solid. The fights are cinematic as hell, the visuals are breathtaking. I often died taking too many screenshots.

    Boss fights arent hard in a sense of combat, the hard part comes from maintaining the condition of your cargo while beating a boss. Falls, trips, getting knocked over or hit, will damage your cargo, reducing your rewards for quests. The difficulty, unlike most games, is not in the ability to do damage, but in the ability to stay safe while doing damage.

    I suggest playing on hard, the boss fights are longer and more engaging on that difficulty.

    I don't want to put spoilers in this review so I'm ending it here only covering the basics. This game isnt for everyone, but for those who understand it and arent looking for the next Fortnite, this is one of the most polished, well done games of the generation. The acting is the best you'll experience in a game. It has humor, sadness, suspense and horror. The story and world are captivating, to say the least. And playing with headphones alone at night can actually be terrifying in some ways as you get deeper into the story. I often left areas and stayed in brighter, rain free areas because I was getting RE7 VR flashbacks (lol)

    If you appreciate a unique story, that alone is worth a purchase. If you are a diverse gamer, you will appreciate this game if you take the time to understand it.    … Expand

Breath of the wild , journey , abzu, shadow of the colossus, etc.. the type with long expanses that allows you to soak the world in and get really immersed in it and not blaze through it . If you only play the first few chapters then yes it may seem like it's a walking simulator but if you play through you will see other modes of transport like motorcycles, trucks, fast travel , ziplines, etc. You also have a lot of weapons choices as well the further Into the story you get and at the end the last chapter is free roam to continue and finish getting rest of the trophies . It's funny how many say great graphics but boring gameplay and still give the game a 0 that tells me they only got in here to review bomb a great game and didn't buy the game themselves this game is definitely not a 0. Yes it's definitely different and not for everyone . If you like the games I mentioned above there is a great chance you will like this game . If you're on the fence go to redbox rent it play it to at least chapter 4 then make your decision if this is the game for you and don't listen to those who came on here just to give it a 0.     madly liked the diverse gameplay

    I didn’t like it:

    - not so cool plot twists

    - constant repetition of the same thoughts in dialogs and calls

    - constant calls to the main character

    - inexpressive protagonist who does not care about everything from the beginning of the game to the final credits

    But despite this, the game is my best gaming experience in the last 10 years

And if I choose the last option — I need to find materials at enemy camp. Not to mention the relief, when you find bridge above the cliff running from mules, which was left there by another player. There is no easy solution — you constantly need to think what way to choose next time.     One of the best games I've ever played, and without a doubt different from everything else. So many of the negative reviewers never give any concrete reasons as to why they don't like the game. Only that it sucks or is boring, but no elaboration. Here's why I like Death Stranding.

    The story is challenging and requires you to draw your own conclusions instead of spoon-feeding you, like the Dark Souls series. Your enemy is the terrain and weather more than anything you can punch or shoot. You are rewarded for careful planning and attention to the terrain. You can't derp your way through with automatic parkour maneuvers. This is NOT a walking simulator as most people use the term. A walking simulator is just where you push forward on the stick while your character walks to the next area. The walking is more of a mindless time-sink.

    In Death Stranding you have to pay attention to so many details we all take for granted. You can't just pick up and carry 1000 items in your magic bag. You can't simply carry 20 ladders because you might need them. The shooting/fighting aspects are simple, but this isn't a shooter or a fighter. Those are more diversions to change up the pace than core parts of the game.

    There are so many things that I can't put them all into this review. So many details you can stumble across that make you feel like you discovered something new or leave you impressed that someone thought to include such a bit of realism in this game. If you think facing a challenge and working out things yourself, then you will love Death Stranding. If you want a game you can sleepwalk through will looking at your phone, troll random people to ruin their experience, or yet another cookie-cutter COD like shooter, then you will hate Death Stranding.

    It’s a wonderful game that challenges you every step of the way. After spending 200 hours with the game I’m still discovering new things and ways to explore. Don’t let all of these fake accounts and fake reviews detture you from experiencing this.

    New style of game. With awesome graphics and a incredible gripping story from the start. 50 hours in and I still want more! Great sound and music threw out. The game build up takes a long time but it’s worth it, stick at it.

    The story is interesting and engaging, the gameplay is fun and relaxing, I really enjoyed the experience and was really excited to see each turn the story provided. It was great, especially the hades segments.

    This game is a masterpiece and pure perfection. Every second I spent in this world gave me joy, nostalgia, tons of thoughts about myself and world around me. This game overwhelms you in first hours to let you breath freely later on on a scale that has never been done before. I never thought that that kind of gameplay and using well known mechanics in a different way than usual can be so rewarding and fulfilling.

    This is not the game most people expected and they are angry about it. I cannot understand why for most of the people shoot, take hostage and escort in games like COD is great year by year and they claim is not dull and repetitive but when you have a different gameplay about not killing, about respecting life, then suddenly it is repetitive and dull. Death Stranding is a game about not killing, it is about rebuilding and connecting and how far we went from humanity shows that only "killing games" can satisfy most of the people. And if I cannot kill, if I have to make an effort to do something good - then it is dull and boring. How people react to this game shows the state of our minds as society. Kojima sees it too and made a game about it - there are countless situations when this game allows you to kill and as a gamer you know it will be the easiest. There are moments when your first idea will be to pull the trigger. But every time you do there are hard consequences and at one point even you can feel one of the character's disappointment that after all these hours you have learnt nothing, all you thought about was to pull the trigger as the only solution for each issue. It tells a lot about us and leaves us with tons of emotions.

    Not everything must be flashy, loud an fast. Games can be art - just like music and movies. They can have a message. They can have a message and at the same time be a huge fun. Stop and think for a minute, dive deep inside yourself. This game is one of very rare gems which will allow you to do so. And if this is what Kojima can do without Metal Gear - then I will always wait for next project of his because as he promised: he delivered something I have never seen and felt before.     Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
