    To anyone actually reading this, I think this game is a 8.7/10 so far. I'm about 5 hours in and its exactly what I expected. A strange, melancholy, interesting and different game about the end of the world, hiking, delivering packages, and making connections. I think its great and I can't wait to dive into it more. The 10/10 is to counteract the insane 0/10 reviews people are farting out

    As an avid follower of Hideo Kojimas work, I was very intrigued by this game, and was thoroughly excited to play it, that was until a lot of the reviews that came out from a lot of what I thought to be reputable companies/names. All I can say is ignore any bad reviews you see or hear, they are total rubbish! This game is a complete masterpiece, and after 15 hours, I am in love with it! 10/10

    Play the game, it is amazing if you think of the facts that Kojima made it with a small staff, new engine, full 3D face modeling of real actor's, full cast of great talent, it pushes the PS4 Pro to the limits, and with 0 micro transactions.     If your favorite thing in RDR2 is walking around/riding your horse and just exploring the amazing world, then you should for sure play this game. If not then you should still experience the story, so I guess you could watch a playthrough.

    People who rate this a 0 are ignorant that the whole point of this game is about connecting people and forming bonds. It’s a thematic game with its roots buried deep in that concept and it’s a shame that Kojimas intended message of togetherness is being dismissed by people who just want the same mainstream gameplay of pointing and shooting at things. It’s insulting.

    I don't think even I can explain how much I like playing death stranding the world is truly the biggest enemy of the game which constantly tries to kill you
    I Don't like playing games for longer than 2-3h but I spent 6h continuously on death stranding

    Also the soundtrack is sick

    Game is like a fresh breath in age of tolerance, social network mania and games that are done by same template over and over. I like to feel NEW experience. And this game at least introduce new mechanic of social co-working. I wonder how starting location will look like when I get back after finishing the game...

    I have never seen and played something like that! Story grabs you in from the first hour!
    Amazing music, photo realistic graphic, never seen before gameplay mechanics. It is an Oscar worthy story! It is a must! I registered just to rate this game with 10! I highly recommend it!

    Unique game. Setting and story keep you engaged and wanting to see what's next. The cast is top notch and believable. Trying to bring people together and why you deliver parcels is tied in the story and why you are doing this. Kojima branched out to try something different and to me this paid off, to take risks. This game isn't for everyone and that's ok.

Everyone's after a quick high these days and Death Stranding not only reminds us that success and real happiness is earned through determination and hard work, but that life is about being connected. We should all take a step back and appreciate people and the small things life offers us.

    Seeing all of these sheeple review bomb this game makes me sick. I haven't played a Kojima game in almost 20 years so this review is coming from someone who isnt a "fanboy". How anyone could give this game a "0" after it only being out for 12 hrs is beyond me, pretty sure they haven't even played it yet... I haven't played a Kojima game in almost 20 years so this review is coming from someone who isnt a "fanboy". How anyone could give this game a "0" after it only being out for 12 hrs is beyond me, pretty sure they haven't even played it yet... Now I know I've given it a 10 but that's to try to fill the void a bit. Honestly this game is amazing so far and I cant wait to sit with it for another 70 hrs or more.

If you watch someone play it, you will think it's a walking simulator - you have to really play to get this game. videos don't convey the joy, anxiety releif and reward of this game.     A game with a great atmosphere, great soundtrack and cool graphics. Relaxing to spend time in it is a complete pleasure. The plot is also good, although sometimes they explain it a lot.

    A complete masterpiece, many people don't get it or like their games similar to what everybody else is playing, Death Stranding is a game that illustrates the need to have variety in the videogame industry, the themes it uses for its story provide an insight as to how current society is and how we can become better people by connecting to others. A game a true gamer should not ignore.

    I screwed up on an early mission and it took me way longer then it should have. I love a slow burn intro and this has one. So if it's not for you it's not for you. But I'm hooked. I can't stop thinking about this game and it brings me so much enjoyment. The mechanics, the world, the plot. And I get it it, it's not for everyone. But it's definitely for me!

    Its a really great game. Been playing all day. It's clear that some people are giving it a low score or 0 even though they have not played the game yet. The very same people would also praise the developers for trying something completely new that hasn't ever been done before. All in all, this is a really great game.     I like the new game style “genre”. I am enjoying the game for real. The soundtracks are amazing. I was shocked when I just watched the first cutscene. The game has a deep idea to be delivered to the people. The gameplay is pretty good for now.

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
