    GEEEZ LUISE the game is good!.Im playing this game for the first time in May 2023, 3 years after that disaster of a release.     This is horrible. We should be getting refunds. the graphics are poor, rendering is trash, it takes 3-5 seconds for faces to load in. Random lag spots and frequent crashes. This is a crime and it's called fraud.

    Très mauvais jeu. L' opposé de The Witcher 3.
    Impossible de se mettre dans la peau du personnage tellement l' écriture est mauvaise.
    Les missions sont insipides et sans relle intérêt. La mission principale est dénuée de tout tension et suspense.
    Une belle nullité en somme.
    Je donne 2 pour le temps de travail.
    C'est une honte de vendre ce jeu à 70.-

    Cyberpunk 2077 on ps4 very good now with patch 1.61 but still have lots of bugs and needs to fix it .

    The story and side missions are really good but the gigs and ncpd scanner hustles are so boring. The AI is really dumb. Overall good story with bad open world and mediocre rpg elements. Story is a 10.

    Many technical problems. Low FPS, sometimes it takes a while to load the textures. Many sites look pixelated. Other aspects of the game are fine, but this one in particular sincerely makes the experience not as expected.

    On PS5 this game is also ugly and city is empty. These factors spoil all the fun of the game, which would generally be 8 or 9 /10 without it

    What should be a very pleasant experience turned out to be unplayable even on PS4 Pro. The resolution is so low it literally hurts the eye.
    Very disappointed.

    For the first time in my life, even with de 60 dlls invested, i just quit. Im not even angry. I just dissapointed.

    I recomend everyone expecting adquire this game to wait for the patches fixing almost everything on PS4 and Xbox One

With my review here I want to focus on the story or lack there of.

    I hate how Cyberpunk just throws you into its world without any sort of explanation of anything. I wanted to give the game a chance because I heard it opens up after a few hours. I just got to Act 2 and I have no desire to keep playing. Because nothing about the game makes me want to continue. The first 7 hours are pretty much like this.

    You start working for Guy X, that job goes wrong, so you start working with Guy Y, then you get a job with Guy Z, who needs you to talk with Girl X so that you can get Object Q from Guy R... I was immediately lost as to who any of these people were and why I should care about any of them. There is absolutely no backstory to these characters. For example, something happens to one character early in the game and I didn't care at all because the game gave me no reason to care about the character. You practically know nothing about them.

    Every mission I was like, "Wait, what am I doing? Who is this for?" The game grabs you by the arm and yanks you along without giving you any time to get your bearings. It piles mechanic after mechanic on top of you without giving you enough time to get the hang of them.

    I’m 8 hours in now and I am so detached from every character in this game (including my own), that I could care less about what happens next. This is mainly due to the narrative dragging you along without really providing any substance to the characters you are introduced to. There is not enough backstory or context for V other than "night city is a harsh environment but I want to be famous/successful/remembered".

    All the characters know V, and have some kind of backstory with V, but everyone but me (the player) knows V. So it's fricken boring to play. It doesn't help that V isn't a very interesting character. Up until now, every character just monologues to V over and over again about this or that. It isn't even very interesting dialogue.

    What they should have done was two things. Make the character your own created character that you could name and adding more substance to the lifepath section. What the tutorial section SHOULD HAVE been. I like'd how in Witcher 3 you start in this pretty big area but it's not the main part of the game. It gets you used to the setting, characters, story, and mechanics. Instead in Cyberpunk you're just shown this little clipshow after your lifepath section to show how you sorta got where you are. Why didn't they just make that part the first 7 or 8 hours?

    Just cannot recommend anyone buy this game until they fix all the issues, the never ending bugs and pop ins and textures is just bad, I cannot stress enough how bad this game is, also for the devs (Management) to decieve customers by not showing us PS4 and Xbox versions is downright shady. I will never buy another game from CD PROJEKT RED for all the lies

    I have requested a refund from Sony for the first time in my life. This game is broken, playing on ps5 as well. The game hard crashes every hour, graphically shocking. I know loads of people love cd project red but the game is not ground breaking in any way. Gunplay not good. Story not the best I have played. RPG elements are broken. Poor driving.     The crashing and bugs on the current patch (1.06) drag what would be a promising and gorgeous game to a 5/10.

    That moment when you enjoy Knights of the Old Republic 1 from 2003 more - graphically, UI and story. Somebody really rushed launch here. I have expected more from CDPR.

    As an avid PS4 player, I love the story in the game and the weaponry, along with the skill tree. If you manage to get the appropriate mods to help you in your samurai-slashing, gunning quests. Its satisfying and humour included. However, there are still major niggles that need to address for it to be 'playable'. Well tbh, I really love the game and didn't care much on the bugs. Here areAs an avid PS4 player, I love the story in the game and the weaponry, along with the skill tree. If you manage to get the appropriate mods to help you in your samurai-slashing, gunning quests. Its satisfying and humour included. However, there are still major niggles that need to address for it to be 'playable'. Well tbh, I really love the game and didn't care much on the bugs. Here are some of the things that I will touch upon:

    I am playing this on PS4 slim and will be touching on about the graphics. I'm playing on 2 different TVs at 2 different times; 1 is 1080p and another is UHD 4K HDR. If you play on a PS4 console, the 4K TV looks awesome (if you enabled the HDR option) and the 1080p looks like crap. Currently, the game is on 1.06 version in my PS4 and there are still some areas that caused the framerate to jinx the game and crash. I do have several crashes at first but after the newest update, not that much. I realized that if you went to an area with a lot of objects that interacts behind the environment. It starts to get buggy and the framerate fluctuates erratically. If you don't like the graphics, then disable the first 2 settings under graphics: Film grain and Dynamic Resolution Scaling.

    The intellect of the AI for the NPCs and enemies are not that great and reactive. Really need to have a definite overhaul in this area to be competitive with other studios. People keep comparing with other open world games like GTA, Watch Dogs and RDR with Cyberpunk 2077. I could agree that more or less there are pros and cons. Cops don't give chase but drones could just destroy you in one shot when you trying to drive away. Enemies just...ogle themselves and stay in their own cover. There was few times I shot one guy and another 5 tripped over the dead body. lol, somewhat I believe the interactions of these figures can be better. Traffics, hijack, real-time timing, I believe that the perception of people having these expectations, completely destroys the enjoyment in experiencing Cyberpunk 2077. To every creation to its own. Stop comparing and experience the story properly.

    I'm giving this game a 6 because I believed that there's something missing that requires immediate rectification. I hope CD Projeckt Red take this as a valuable lesson and do not rush the development of the game. Don't over hyped the game when it is not doable. So should you get this game on PS4? I suggest you wait awhile to get all the update patches in 2021. But, if you are so curios on the story line and, get the game. I recommend.    … Expand

    Loving the story and the mechanics.

    The performance trouble and the bugs are really immersion breaking. Every few minutes something happened that reminded me I was playing a game and not actually a smuggling nomad mercenary. I was so ready to become immersed in night city and what I managed to see I really like. The characters and design are superb. The soundtrack is immense and gameplay seems great when it works.

    I hope that cdpr is still going to give a free upgrade to the ps5 version otherwise I've wasted £50.

    This was the first time I ever pre ordered a game due to witcher 3 and the service it received after being superb. I will never again pre order ever again.

    Fix this mess please.

    cDPR I am very angry with you I was able to play this game 4 months after I returned from the military and it is not my fault PS4 performance is terrible, this game is actually a nice game, but it was a very bad game to explode in your hands, I wish it was a game I wish it could reach its real potential, sorry

    overhyped bugged out open world rpg .... Very fun though haha Story and side quests not bad. Romances had me laughing pretty hard. I don't know if they were meant to be comical . There are a few things that annoyed me but that's in just about every game. 50 plus hours and purchased it used for 18 bucks so i am happy with it

    Some people are suggesting that this game wasn't meant for the PS4, lets all remember the game was planned for release in August....

Graphics isn't everything but if this game can only give you PS3 quality graphics it's really disappointing.
    Other than glitches, the biggest problem is: this game brings nothing new. It's like a GTA5 simulator with some ideas from other games like Deus Ex. Skills are really streamlined and really not impressive, enemy AI is stupid, stealth system doesn't feel right. Hacking skills doesn't really help you. I mean if you have hacking skills you should be able to open some digital locks, like what's in other cyberpubk style games right? No you won't. The only thing you can do is damaging some foes, shutting down some defense system and all that. Enemies are alerted because someone died on the roof where absolutely nobody can see him. That's BS. Enemies doesn't analyze where the player is. When they want to check something out the only thing they will do is to check exactly where you are at, which again is really BS. They were heavily emphasizing on how you have multiple ways to achieve your objective, turns out in most cases the only option you really have is to shoot someone in the face. All I can say is that Deus Ex does a much better job in offering multiple options to achieve your goal.
    Also you guys know that in one of their trailers, they said your death has consequences. Turns out that's a lie. Or rather, that's what they were planning to do, not something they have already achieved. The only consequence of your death is that you need to reload your save data, i.e., no consequences at all.
    On and on is this game good? Yes, if you are a GTA fan this game might be what you want. Otherwise, not really.    … Expand

    This game’s hype was legendary. Sadly, it will go down as one the biggest failures of all time, gaming or otherwise. The bugs were annoying and completely unforgivable. It was so bad that now my strategy for all future releases of CD Project Red will be to wait at least 6 months before playing any of their games, if I don’t wait long enough to buy it at a 50% discount.

    Bugs aside, I came into this experience expecting something comparable to the Witcher 3. It was not. The main character was not someone I cared about; his companions I had little empathy for. The story and side quests were not captivating. The game itself was interesting enough to keep me moderately entertained for about 10 hours. The final 20 hours were a chore, and I stopped playing for a few months after the 20 hour mark. The only thing I liked about this game were the romance options. The relationship-building via quest chain was more fleshed out than other titles.    … Expand

After 1.04 FPS increased really slightly, around 2-3 fps more but visual bugs and game-breaking crashes remained. Never expected this sort of mess from CDPR. Huge disappointment. The only thing that was good about the game was its wholesome story and RPGSad that I finished the game on PlayStation 4 with the bad performance and frequent crashes.     Let's start from the fact that the game itself is very beautiful, as a story it is fantastic, as a gameplay it is fun and does not make you lose the rhythm and the characters are interesting, especially judy and jonny. There are tons of graphic glyphs like disappearing npc and characters walking through the walls and freezing animations. After that the NPCs are few and the vehicles as well (this point gives a lot of night city atmosphere) but when you start hitting a group of NPCs the frame rate goes from 30 and drops down to 2 fps. I wish the cdpr not to abandon the past gen versions and for now concentrate on those, at least releasing patches that solve problems like these.… Expand

    Having waited for quite some time for the bugs to be corrected, this game really picked itself up from the gutters. I found myself deeply immersed in the cyberpunk atmosphere and often forgot about my main mission because the side missions, stories and characters were so good.

    I managed to get a good chunk of it (around 30 hours) before Sony approved the refund.
    Not the most particularly best game out there, but it kind of grows on you once the story starts to unfold. And once you get used to the mediocre gameplay and the inconsistencies of the PS4 port.

It shows potential, some of the missions are kinda fun, but it gets ruined by the lack of depth. Or maybe they added too much depth, don't know. Stealth and melee combat on FPS is also not really working, who the f*** thought of that.

    Maybe they will manage to fix the terrible bug issues in a few months and let it become a functional game. I doubt though that it will live up to its hype. It feels soooo dated.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. While I admit the game does have issues and needs to be fixed, as someone who has played 25 hours of this game on the ps4 I absolutely love it.

    Yea there is issues but those aside I love the Story, the Characters, the FPS and the side quests, I love night city and just how gorgeous it looks especially at night. I love the customization of the main character and able to full change anything about your character like adding new eyes for different skills or new arms. The crafting is pretty basic but I enjoy it and the skill tree again is basic but I like it.

    Only reason it gets a 3/5 is because the game does need to be fixed, also the world isn't as interactive as I would have liked. Yeah theres buying cars but theres no "games" in the world. Nothing like Gwent that's for sure. In a game like this you except to have some side activities like pool, bowling, fishing, whatever so its not just a matter of jumping from mission to mission. I sort of expect CDPR to put that in the Free DLC coming but that should have been apart of the game overall, not an added feature.

    Overall I do like the game and it runs fairly good on my ps4 but even I admit the game needs to be patched    … Expand

    Yes, I've seen some bugs but no terrible one maybe because I'm playing on PS4 Pro? Seen blue screen twice. Game has amazing climate, so many additional features, it looks satisfying on 4k tv - whatever resolution I've got. It's harder than many others and because of that more interesting. Although not designed specifically for pad. Playing everyday means something?

The bugs are insane and perhaps teams could have been working on bugs as opposed to Penis 1 and Penis 2. Overall Rockstar is yet to be dethroned when it comes to open worlds due to Night City feeling empty and theBeing honest, this is a let down. I find myself having fun and enjoying the story. Often times however this enjoyment is met with the game crashing and my mission restarting. The bugs are insane and perhaps teams could have been working on bugs as opposed to Penis 1 and Penis 2.     Barely able to play it. Frame rate drops, particles and textures, glitches everywhere. I was only able to make it to Johnny Silverband mission and then I went through the entire map. And then crashed. I don’t think patches are going to fix this.

    Seems like a great game but it's almost unplayable, 10% of the playing time is reporting crashes, 20% loading times, 10% loading textures and the rest is good gameplay. CD Project Red have become as greedy as EA for releasing an abysmal version of the game

    The game is not optimized for ps4, at times the game is virtually unplayable. Honestly, it's been a long time since I was so disappointed. The number of frames is a misunderstanding!

    At launch the game was unplayable. Crashes occur at every other drive or mission, floating cars, floating people, missing textures and materials. The game looked horrible. It took two days for the “Day 1” patch to come in. During that time CDPR said nothing, respond to no one and left us PS players and XBox players in the dark while PC players received the patches: 1.03 and 1.04. FinallyAt launch the game was unplayable. Crashes occur at every other drive or mission, floating cars, floating people, missing textures and materials. The game looked horrible. Finally the patch arrived and consoles are now on 1.04. The game looks... better. But bot great. Textures look better but many times elements will be missing materials, character will look flat and lighting doesn’t work right. The are less bugs. Crashes do occur from time to time. Any other company would be feared to shreds (imagine EA releasing a game in this state). The game is not ready for prime time. Yes, the story so far (10% in) is good and interesting but there are too many things which don’t work. We would not accept this from an indie developers. We wouldn’t accept this from any company. Somehow people are allowing CDPR to get away with it. I’m glad at least here people can rate it accordingly. I’m playing on a PS5 so I don’t know how good things look on 4 (due to the the performance differences) but we are still speaking about the PS4 version (as a PS5 version will only come in 6 months or so).… Expand

    The world of this game is amazing. I loved the gunplay and the characters.

    The driving is kind of floaty which I didn't like - why don't open world games have realistic driving? Just a shame I only got 9 hours in before it crashed for the 5th time, resulting in me being unable to load any save I have made.     I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive.     Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
