    The plot is really addictive, but that's it. Despite all the hype that CD Projekt Red was driving with marketing, I tried to keep my expectations low, I knew some people would be disappointed, but I saw this group as people who don't quite understand that this is an RPG and I was making fun of them a bit. The joke's on me. I can get over the bad graphics but would like something in return.The plot is really addictive, but that's it. Despite all the hype that CD Projekt Red was driving with marketing, I tried to keep my expectations low, I knew some people would be disappointed, but I saw this group as people who don't quite understand that this is an RPG and I was making fun of them a bit. The joke's on me. I can get over the bad graphics but would like something in return. I get tons of bugs, non-loading textures, cars and pedestrians appearing out of nowhere, a world that is supposed to be open, but still everything is closed in it. Receiving calls, changing the camera mode in the vehicle, works randomly. And AI? Mother of God. The police chases are a joke (I don't know if anyone ever chased me). Car drivers? Stand a few centimeters on their track, they will stop and die of old age in their cars sooner than they will go around you. Behavior of NPCs? Tragic, hit one, all the rest within a dozen or so meters will crouch as one. Since everything is so poor, the world is so empty, what then makes the game perform so bad? This game broke me. I used to shut up all haters when they complained about the game before the premiere, but then I got my copy and I'm just sad. I kept hearing about immersion. How am I supposed to delve into this world when I am constantly torn from it with technical problems? The moment that was supposed to get me dragged into the plot was interrupted for me by a lot of loading screens, longer than individual sequences of a game, as a result I remember browsing the news on my smartphone, not the game. After many attempts, I put the game back on the shelf, I will not return it because I went through hell to get the game from Polish distribution in the country where I currently live on the day of its premiere and the fun of sending it back to Poland is not worth it. I just feel cheated and wish I hadn't spent my hard earned money on a product that is not finished, and even after fixes it probably won't be what it was meant to be. I could forgive that the game is not a breakthrough, that the mechanics are poorer than in much older games, if only the game worked as it was supposed to, today, on the wave of irritation, more and more disappointments are found. I don't get any explanations that the game works better on stronger platforms, I bought the game on one of the platforms offered by the developer and paid for it with real money, no excuses.… Expand

    Constant bugs take you out of any semblance of immersion. The driving mechanics are terrible, the combat is "ok", the performance is terrible and the overall experience is forgettable.

    The game is too buggy textures take 2min to load it's just mess it feels like it has been ported from pc such a shame that this game wasn't property optimized for ps4 considering the launch was on ps4 Wouldn't recommend save your $60 buy something else

    Spielt sich wie eine Alpha Version, es gibt keine Sekunden ohne Bugs, Texture Fehler etc. alleine innerhalb der 4 Spieltage über 20 PS4 Abstürze. CD Projekt Red hat einfach verschi**en..

    Eu tenho para ps4 o cyberpunk, uma desilusão. Imensos bugs, gráficos a cair drasticamente. Sou de Portugal, nem legendas em PT/BR têm. Um jogo com tantos diálogos e opções de resposta.. Desilusão completa.

    Do not buy this game is horrible. The story is dragged out a bit, and side quests are pretty good. However, this game crashed 46 times in my playthrough! There are so many technical issues. I also played on PC which is not much better. If you have the option to play on PC, play on PC, however, this game is mediocre even without the game-breaking bugs.

    I have easily 50 hours into the game and am enjoying it by alot. The game does have quite a few visual bugs that most of them are funny as hell. It does have a few major issues but not as many as I Expected to be perfectly frank. I wanted to give it a 10 but just can't at this point due to the small amount of major problems. Including 3 crashes two of them where while idle because dogsI have easily 50 hours into the game and am enjoying it by alot. The game does have quite a few visual bugs that most of them are funny as hell. It does have a few major issues but not as many as I Expected to be perfectly frank. I wanted to give it a 10 but just can't at this point due to the small amount of major problems.     Despite the disastrous launch of the game on PS 4, CD project red turned out to be a good game, with atmosphere, history and awesome soundtrack. I was unexpected by such a strong immersion in the game, having played 13 hours I have not yet passed the first act. You don't want to leave the game, you forget about real life. THAT game is the one that’s been racking up the dismal 50% Metascore from critics and all the sub-3 ratings from users on this site. Both games are real, but not for everyone.     Bugs are bugs, you can find them in all games. Focus on the world created by developers and artists then this game will be amazing for you. Just play and have fun!

As far as the game goes if you ignore the bugs the story is engaging and the characters I love like Johnny, Judy, Jackie, Panam ect. I will the police are a joke in this game. The radio music and all the songs created for this game I love it. As a punk rock guy my self I'm not disappointed. I just wish there was a way to listen to the music on an in game ipod while your outside your car. Also something that suprised me was hacking. I never thought I'd be sneaking around hacking everything. I wanted to be a run and gun kind of player in this game. I haven't even put perk points into stealth yet I have put a little into cold blooded.

    There are so many things I want added in this game, like drinking and smoking animations whenever you want. Same goes for food. There's restaurant and bars but your taken to a menu to buy things and you can't just sit and eat like in story missions in this game. So I'm hoping in the future there more role play things that get added.    … Expand

    Game is broken i cant even see what is happening because my field of view is stuck inside my characters head. Npcs float around random. Quest markers get locked behind npcs or untraversable obstacles. Utterly dissapointed.

    I purchased Cyberpunk for PS4 Pro and PC. While both were buggy at release, since the 1.04 patch I am much happier with it on PC. Its been playable and even with occasional issues I am enjoying the game. However, on PlayStation that is another matter. The patch hasn't made a big difference for me on console and I decided to ask for a refund. I think that Cyberpunks statementI purchased Cyberpunk for PS4 Pro and PC. I know they must be getting many emails but I have read recently information from their latest Investor call and now I believe they are not likely to follow through with their offer.     I played over 30 h on PS4 and i can say that this game is amazing and yes there where some glitches but dont forget that we players ask CDP to release the game ASAP !!!! Great job CDP i love your game story is just amazing !!!!

    There are existing technical issues that will be sorted in the near future. Otherwise, this is phenomenal rpg that is well written and engaging. The main reason I got frustrated with the few crashes was I couldn't wait to jump back in.

    When I first played Witcher 3, after a year of it's release, I was astonished. The game was absolutely amazing. Hands down in my top 5. I also was familiar with the Cyberpunk universe and a huge fan, having GMed Cyberpunk 2020 in the '90s. Needles to say, my expectations were high. Then I finally got CP2077... What a let down... Don't get me wrong, everything is there - story and lorewise,When I first played Witcher 3, after a year of it's release, I was astonished. The game was absolutely amazing. Hands down in my top 5. All of that is out of the window with this game. They deliberately chose to limit review copies of the game to the PC platform — fully aware that the console version would run horrible.     - The game is extremely buggy.
    - The UI is horrible and unintuitive.
    - Customization is just bland. Nothing like the marketing.
    - What happen to vehicle and apartment customizations?
    - Many features were promised but never made it to the final release.
    - AI? What AI?
    - The game just didn’t look appealing to me. I like the aesthetic but the graphics look like PS2/PS3 graphics. It’s nothing close to what was showed awhile back.

    While some were able to get a refund, most are not having any luck. Sony will tell you to wait the the patch next year. People paid $60 for a finished game, not an unfinished broken mess.    … Expand

While it plays/looks a lot better than it does on the last-gen machines, I literally can't go more than 15-20 minutes without seeing some distracting bug/glitch in front of me or in the distance. In the past few days the game has crashed to the home screen at least 6 separate times.I just can't do it anymore. I play this game on PS5. I've played about 20 hours - mostly side missions. While it plays/looks a lot better than it does on the last-gen machines, I literally can't go more than 15-20 minutes without seeing some distracting bug/glitch in front of me or in the distance. In the past few days the game has crashed to the home screen at least 6 separate times. Once, I tried to play the game and got an error that my console couldn't start it for some reason. Had to delete it off the PS5 and reinstall it to fix that issue.

    Through all of this, I persisted to play through the game, because despite the endless parade of bugs, and glitches, at least it ran stable enough to enjoy it on the PS5. But for some reason, today when I started playing, I was driving around the city and I noticed muddy textures on the streets, buildings, etc. It was taking a few seconds for objects to fully load into the world. If I drove too fast, I'd fall through the street because it hadn't yet loaded.

    Then, I tried getting through one of the racing side jobs and kept going the wrong way because the waypoint arrows weren't loading on the track fast enough for my vehicle. I got so frustrated I shut the game down and said F this!

    I actually love the game, but I refuse to force myself through this marred experience any further. It's like watching a blurry cam bootleg of a movie you were dying to see - sure, you get to find out how the story plays out, but it's a garbled mess. I've decided to put this game on hiatus until they fix the problems on the PS4 version. I might even wait until they release the PS5 version proper.    … Expand

    Game feels really "adult" . Violence, strong language, sex and many more.
    As for me, I really miss for games like this. I'm sick of "family friendly-like" games, were everything is soft, fluffy and almost innocent.

    Bugs, glitches? This is all FLEXIBLE with patches.

    So, after all this words, why not 10/10?
    Because, I have some issues. First for me, game feels like a little cut off content for some reason.
    And second, (that is my personal opinion) - it's will be grate to have a much more characters for romance.
    And more "realistic" relationship with your beloved one. Because, one cyber ronin already stole my heart =)

    Positives:

    This game has okay graphics on my PS4 Slim, with patch 1.04 installed.

    The storyline is pretty interesting, I got emotionally connected with some characters and completely hated others, or gave some sort of respect to them because of who they are in the game. I felt pretty immersed.

    Gameplay is alright, not groundbreaking or revolutionary, but it's still alright.

    The city is beautiful. I love the graffiti, the slums, the expensive buildings for the rich people. It is honestly beautiful.

    Negatives:

    It seems like cybernetic augmentations don't do much to change gameplay. I wish that they had a more prominent impact on gameplay and decisions in-game.

    The perks aren't too interesting either- they seem mediocre at best.

    The control scheme isn't too shabby when you're not in the menus. Pressing circle to skip dialogue and also having to press circle to crouch/dodge was not a good idea. For example, I was on a phone call and some bad guys shown up. I like to bob and weave and crouch and strike so I had a 10 second phone call that was supposed to last minutes at least.

    In the inventory screen or shop screens, things can get pretty laggy. You can't mass-sell items from your inventory, you must select them one at a time. When you sell an item, it seems like the inventories (both yours and the shop-keeps) literally refresh/rerender. It's honestly not a good inventory or trading system IMO.

    As for NPCs, there are very little of them spread across the city. They aren't next gen, either. Night City is supposed to be this huge, densely populated city and it does not seem that way at all. I can drive on the highway, through the streets and see maybe 8 or 9 cars on a 3 kilometer drive.

    The police NPCs seem to be the worst. You stand next to them for 3 seconds and they'll shoot you for looking at them wrong. They don't patrol the city, they don't have an acceptable wanted system. They're like the Institute (from FO4), waiting for you to commit a heinous act before TELEPORTING right behind you. You run just a little distance away and all of a sudden, it's too far for them to search/look for you and bam, you're off the hook.

    The looting mechanic seems off to me. IMO, I think it's too much. The looting mechanic and inventory systems don't work together well. Disassembling, selling or equipping items can lead to a crash, or a laggy screen.

    Also you can't seem to customize your character anymore after the initial character creation. No barbers, tattoo shops, plastic surgeons. it might be a small gripe, but I just wish that these were in the game.

    There are plenty of bugs/glitches that happen during gameplay. Sometimes during story missions, sometimes not. I've had random crashing throughout my gameplay. It must've crashed 5 or 6 times while just doing the main missions.

    The next particular couple of sentences don't have to do anything with the game itself and does not affect the review score: I wish that I could've seen and read honest reviews for the "previous gen" consoles before securing my game. I'm not happy with the current state that this game has the gaming community in, and I feel like on some level, CDPR has betrayed what trust we, the community, has given them.

    I'm not sure if there is anything else to say. I can actually see the progress being made by the dev team, so I have hope for this game. I hope they pull a No Man's Sky, this game definitely needs a turn around. I'd love to play again in the next year or two, but for now, I think i'll take a break.    … Expand

    Best game of the year - story, the city is unimaginably beautiful. wonderful world ! 's not linear like "god of war", :the last of us" is a real masterpiece.

    Am playing on PS4 pro, am about 20 hours in. Had to restart the system twice. But guys this game is awesome - the setting, the plot, the mechanics... everything meets the very high hyped up expectations. Don’t believe the review bombs.

    Amazing game, glitchy to all hell but they promised to fix that, so yea best game of 2020 for sure, narrowly beating control in my mind and yea its a game I will play probably for the next 5-10 years, Amazing gameplay, great loot system, diverse leveling design and an amazing talking system. 10/10 -the glitches

Not sure if its a game thing or a PS5 thing the crashes since it also happens with PS5 games like Planet Coaster. Overall more then pleased with the game and can't wait how the real upgrade for the PS5 looks like.

    The story and setting with the soundtrack is    Runs more than OK on the PS5. Here and there still some crashes and glitches in the gameplay/cutscenes of Cyberpunk 2077. Not sure if its a game thing or a PS5 thing the crashes since it also happens with PS5 games like Planet Coaster. Overall more then pleased with the game and can't wait how the real upgrade for the PS5 looks like.

    The story and setting with the soundtrack is outstanding and can't wait to finish the game for a full 100%.

    Also played the game for several hours on the base PS4 Slim.

    The game runs but that is about it! Super bad performance! Low graphics and FPS makes the game terribly to play. Its like playing a early PS3 game.

    CONCLUSION: You don't want to play this game on PS4 and XBOX One X/S.

    Dunno what everyone is pissed about, its a great game so far, yea it has a few bugs but so what ?? All good games still have room for improvement, cyberpunk is no exception. I am enjoying my time playing and think that the game and concepts, depth are all fantastic.

    The game is everything I expected. The bugs are being fixed and are not interfering with the game, they are mostly visual. The game is compelling, fun to play, has an incredible story and gives you freedom . Whoever is complaining was undoubtedly expecting a futuristic GTA and Cyberpunk is an incredible RPG different from what these guys expected. The game is not broken. You can go inThe game is everything I expected. The bugs are being fixed and are not interfering with the game, they are mostly visual. Buy it on PC, DO NOT BUY ON PS4/PS5, despite CD Projekt Red saying they will allow refunds, sony is saying that a broken game that is unplayable and crashes is not eligible for a refund because it is not "faulty"... The game is great, however this should have been pushed back another couple of months. The fact that Sony will not refund either is horseshttt, the game is obviously broken.     I enjoyed the game the story is good gameplay was good but it’s got so much bugs I’m on series x visual gilt he’s a lot and now I’m actually un able to finish the game I got a never ending load screen on a main mission so I can’t even finish it and I’m 25 hours in games a broken record!!!!

    Runs great on the PS5. I have over 60 hours and enjoyed most of them all. It does crash about once an hour but overall I've enjoyed it.

    The game is just awful. Highly deceptive marketing at best; bald faced lies at worst. The game is no where near the game it made out to be prior to release. Numerous missing features and poor performance on consoles to bugs and glitches that render the game unplayable at times. Do not buy this game and be very wary of CDPR in future.

    I really don't get these negatvies comments. I know there is few bugs (playing on ps4 pro), which can be irritating, but why can't you see all the possibilities that gives you Cyberpunk? there is plenty of interesting tasks, funny conversations, which makes you smile. The character of Johnny is just great. I love this game, which absorbs me so much.

Maybe an 8 is a bit too generous, I mean, all the bugs cannot just be ignore so a 7 could be a more accurate score, but considering how I have laughed at some bugs I think it has earned it… Expand

    Also, all the facial options are so similar it hardly makes a difference what you pick. Why did they not give us sliders? Even Skyrim has sliders. Come on.
    And anyone who is like "who cares, its a first person game": unfortunately, the nails are also ugly af. And you can see them at all times. So. Yep.
    Half the reason I bought this stupid game was to use the character creator..... huge let-down.
    Also the clothes? Horrendous, and not in a fun way. Granted, I haven't had the opportunity to see if I can buy cuter ones yet, but.... I do not have high hopes.

    The gameplay is hard, I'm playing on easy mode and it's still hard, I don't think the difficulty level makes a difference though that much. Normal is hard, easy is hard, I imagine hard is.... also hard.
    The fighting is hard. Haven't really figured it out, mainly I just press buttons til I win. There's a tutorial mode but once you're in it, it makes you do the whole tutorial and you can't exit. Nobody has time for all that.
    Framerate drops all the time, sometimes my character's arm goes pixelated and half disappears. At first I thought it was a cool special effect. It was not.
    Any time you have to be in a vehicle, it takes FOREVER. Idk if this is a glitch or just the game. The drive with Padre, for example. Half the time he's not talking and you just slowly watch the car window scenery move by.
    It's like. Give us a good character creator with bad gameplay, and that's okay with me. Because I have fun if I like how my character looks. But to give us a HORRIBLE character creator AND bad gameplay? Come on.
    This really isn't worth the money. I would put it under un-modded Sims 4 as most frustrating game I own... and that's saying a lot, because I hate Sims 4. Also I only paid $3 for Sims 4. I paid $60 something for this. Very annoyed.

    I made an account so I could tell people just how much I don't recommend this game on the ps4. I constantly get crashes, glitches and fps drops. The game has a nice story and great side quests. But when it comes to gameplay there are a few problems. I mean the gun combat is ok but the melee combat needs some work. Overall I don't recommend the game for the current price on consoles.

    Last night I tried to play and just had to quit playing altogether. In the span of less than an hour I crashed once, ran into two game ending bugs and several other minor bugs.

    The first major bug was an enemy breakdancing and moving at extraordinary speed around the screen while shooting me with a machine gun. He killed me pretty much right away, but even after reloading he still had the same behavior. The only workaround was to stealth in and take him out first before dealing with the other enemies.

    The second major bug is related to the police. I was walking down the street, minding my own business. I go to turn into an alley and then start getting shot at. The police were a good 40-50 yards from me, but were shooting at me. For no reason! I was literally just walking down an alley and got killed for no reason. The AI in this game is so obviously broken.

    The crash last night occurred while accessing the fast travel terminal, which seems to be a common crash point for me within the game. I have crashed at least 3 times at the fast travel terminal.

    I had really high hopes for this game. I can look beyond some missing features and minor bugs to an extent. But the constant crashing, horrendous AI, and major bugs that often result in death are laughable. If I didn't have the collector's edition, I would be definitely be getting a refund because the game is not playable on any version of Sony consoles. CDPR should be ashamed.     Game is unplayable. Looks like Harry Potter 1 on the PS1 and that is not an exaggeration. CPDR knew it looked like this and released it anyway, along with false advertising for how it was supposed to look on PS4. An absolute failure and an unethical move by CDPR. Crashes, bugs, and graphical issues make this entirely unplayable. I am astounded they released it in such an unfinished state,Game is unplayable.     I feel sorry for every fellow Witcher fan to see its devs getting this low on quality and every other aspect. This game is unplayable and you have to at least wait for years before getting to play it normally. RIP CDPR.

    Terrible graphics and no refunds. A total disappointment, I tried to play in a PS5 and the graphics looks like a PS3 game.

    Other than the frequent glitches and bugs it's a fun game. The game crashes on me at least twice a day. It's a shame, with the gameplay and story I am enjoying the game. However with the constant glitches and bugs it makes the game unplayable at point. Let's just say this game needed a lot more work.

    I tried to enjoy playing it through all the bugs, and glitches and I tried to look past other things and just have fun. The problem is their are multiple quest like Tapeworm which are glitched to the point where you can complete the game. They say they have fixed problems with patches but most of the problems are still in the game now making it unplayable.

    I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive.     Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
