    this is a **** game on PS4, completely faulty in so many ways, crashing, low frame rate, bad texture and progression blocking bugs. Don't buy it on PS4 PS4 pro or PS5, If you already did, please go speak to Sony for a refund.

    This game had absolutely no business being launched on the PlayStation 4. An argument can be made about the PlayStation 4 Pro, however the frame rates dip below 20 FPS during basic action sequences and ruins the experience of the game. The graphics are some of the worst of this generation and CD Projekt RED clearly was overly ambitious with what they where trying to do and last generationThis game had absolutely no business being launched on the PlayStation 4. An argument can be made about the PlayStation 4 Pro, however the frame rates dip below 20 FPS during basic action sequences and ruins the experience of the game. The graphics are some of the worst of this generation and CD Projekt RED clearly was overly ambitious with what they where trying to do and last generation hardware is not sufficient for a game like this. I'd strongly recommend avoiding this game at all costs on last generation hardware and opt for the PC version, Next-Gen (via backwards compatibility), or even using Google Stadia. This game is a complete miss on last-gen consoles simply due to inadequate hardware capabilities that restrict this game from being truly playable and enjoyable. Bottom-line is that you will be doing yourself a great disservice by trying to experience this game on last generation hardware.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A massive disappointment This game was announced in 2012 before even PS4 was released but yet it looks and runs absolutely awful on base PS4 and not much better on PS4 pro, the version I played.

    The immersion is ruined when the game is constantly bugging and glitching out to the point where it just gets frustrating and has you not wanting to play.

    What do you get past all the bugs and glitches? In my opinion, a really big disappointment that looks nothing like all the trailers and gameplay videos, I remember watching the e3 2018 gameplay and being blown away by how “next gen” it looked. What you get in the end however is a mediocre open world RPG game that just ends up feeling like a Ubisoft game with the repetitive side activities and quests. The side quests don’t at all feel unique and interesting like the Witcher 3. The story has good narrative but in the end it just feels basic. Overall I’m just really disappointed with cdpr.    … Expand

    Away from the **** performance itself (if you manage to play this game that was suppose to be next gen) you will a find a kind a shallow word, with dumb AI (cars, police and general population behavior is a trip back to GTA lll), no actual role playing experience    Terrible performance with ps4 and other consoles (even on next gen it does not look as beutiful as other triple AAA titles).

    It is a shame to release a game on the PS4 if that game is incapable of running properly on the PS4. The story and characters seem enjoyable but all of that is ruined by the poor, really poor technical and graphical aspect.

    I think that the decision to not show any gameplay on the PS4 before the release is a scam attempt, which to some degree has succeeded.     Even if the game becomes playable one day on PS4, which i really doubt, it will remain in a total downgrade state that is an insult for the players.

    I don't care that it works better on a high grade PC because i don't own one and the same is true about next gen consoles. If you sell it for PS4, the game must be working, maybe a little less pretty but not unplayable like the mess it is right now.

    If you didn't bought it yet, keep your money. If you did buy it, get a refund.

    It's an absolute joke that people are giving this game a 10. After releasing an unfinished product that needs updates and still is broken. But the worst part is that they totally scammed console players. There is no way its a 10 but i guess people are brainwashed by the company which they owe nothing to and just showed that they are as money hungry as any company.

The visuals totally destroy the game. I can see why they suppressed PS4 and Xbox One footage, shameful.     Total utter mess and completely unplayable! Blurry screen, poor graphics, constantly lagging and stuttering. Played this 2 x for 2 hours and had to stop because both times gave me a massive headache. Save your money and don’t buy this garbage!

    Para mi es un juego que salio por la presión, pero CD Project puede componer el juego y hacerlo una experiencia sobresaliente. La gente no sabe que es programar y solo sabe criticar si salió mal el juego pero existen juegos con errores y no hacen nada las compañías como COD o algunos juegos así de ubisoft y a CD Project lo quieren crucificar a la primera no es lo mas justo para laPara mi es un juego que salio por la presión, pero CD Project puede componer el juego y hacerlo una experiencia sobresaliente.     In the current state 4/10. The game was not ready to be released. Saves corrupted when the game size gets to big, so don't craft items. With corrupted saves I had to restart, aaand character creator has everything green like the Grinch just had taco bell and chipotle and just let it spew out like a sewer drain. Needed at least another year maybe 2.

Everyone heard about technical issues, so yeah, at this moment, in early 2021, this game is on edge on being playable, with a huge disclaimer that it had induces me heavily nausea feeling at early stages (I've got used to this super low frame-rate later, it seems). But the meat, The Story... isn't great at all.I've putted ~40h into this game, and let's be honest, it's mediocre at best. Main quests lines are boring as hell, only last part when you once in the game have any choice at all is ok, maybe pretty good, but everything before that is uncooked, unfinished, lacking of pacing, and time you must put, and character development. Its just hollow. Situation rescues some of optional quests, and oh boy, some of them are great, like, really good, fitting in universe, with rich characters, interesting story. Pure honey. But the rest of the same marked side quest are on main story level, so pretty low, or even lower. Some builds are fun, some are plain useless, when you're on the start of the game, uninformed, and you choose one of those failed play-style you're doomed. You must start a new game and grind through same quests, same dialogs, same fights, there's no replay value. One new game and that's all. You won't see any new stuff, nor fights are that good at their own. I really can't believe At this moment that in the future this game will be worth any price on PS4/XBO. But even in the better world, where the game was shipped without any issues, it isn't worth full price. Its just not good game, and those couple of quest aren't worth suffering at all.… Expand

    I'm playing the game on ps5 so it's the ps4 pro version really. When the game is working it's great but there's so many BUGS!!! The game has CRASHED on me 5 TIMES ALREADY!!! The frame rate is not bad but I'm on ps5 so I have headroom. CD ProjectRed HAS to get the NEXT-GEN version right! I can't in good conscience give this game even a decent rating because of ALL of it's issues!

    Game is just unplayable. Awful, blurry image on my PS4 and around 15fps while driving a car. Happily, no critical bugs or crashes, just some small bugs in animation in cut scenes. I understand, console hardware is very old but it doesn't mean that we deserve this mess. It's not right to make AAA-game just for top and expensive PCs. We need all problems to be repaired or refund

    The game is **** unplayable on base PS4. Frame rate drops, textures rendering in front of the player, pop-in at all times, horrible draw distance, besides not exceeding 720p resolution. Frustrating and disappointing.

    Da ist es nun, Cyberpunk 2077, vorbestellt auf der Ps4Pro. 69,99€ für ein Spiel was nach 3 Monate Entwicklung aussieht statt 8 Jahre, ein Spiel was ich nach 2 std beenden musste, wegen Bugs, Glitches und einer Grafik die in den Augen schmerzt.
    Ich vergleiche dieses Spiel mit RDR2, und muss sagen... scheisse ist das schlecht was CD RED dort hingeklatscht hat.
    Ein unfertiges Spiel nach 8 Jahren Entwicklung...
    CD Project Red, ihr seid absolut nicht besser als die ganzen anderen geldgierigen Drecksstudios!
    Vielleicht spricht aus mir mehr die Wut und Enttäuschung statt Sachlichkeit, aber Fakt ist, Cyberpunk auf der PS4Pro ist nicht Spielbar!!!
    Die wirklich gigantische Anzahl an Bugs und das Gefühl ein absolut unfertiges, unpoliertes Spiel zu spielen, macht dieses Erlebnis zu einer der größten Enttäuschungen in der Videospielhistorie,
    Besonders nach soooo langer Entwicklung.
    Cyberpunk kommt von der Grafik und Physik nicht mal an GTA4 ran.. teil 4 nicht 5!
    Ich versuche mein Geld wieder zu bekommen!

    The state of the game on PS4 is simply appalling, a blurry mess with inconsistent frame rate & is simply not playable. Such a shame given the narrative and artistic potential demonstrated by the PC version. This product should not have been approved for sale or certified by Sony in its current state.

    Cyberpunk 2077 is no win for anyone. This game is unfinished, buggy and empty. "Doom" (1993), "Resident Evil 4" (2005) and "GTA IV" (2008) were some of the biggest revolutions in history of video games, Cyberpunk 2077 will be forgotten by summer 2021 when some new "cool" game will be hyped up.

    How to make money and brainwash people? Tell everyone that you are making greatest game of all time and apparently people will believe you. "develop" it for 8 years, but actually just make jokes on twitter and spend max 3 years on development. Don't allow anyone to post gameplay footage "because of spoilers" until game has been released.     Seems like CDPR is taking the same steps as Ubisoft/Bethesda, once-great companies, they fell into investor's greed by releasing incomplete and disposable games.
    If you want a real AAA experience, just buy RDR2.

    I'm playing on ps5 and one of the main problems is the game crash every two hours, the graphics are ok, looks like ps4 graphics, I encountered miner glitches but nothing game wrecking, there's lots of missions and side missions, if you pay attention you will enjoy the gamee but don't expect to be blown away...

    I have been an avid gamer since Diablo II, and this has been the first time ever that I preordered a game. Usually I am cautious of preorders, because of generally known reasons. However, since this game is developed by CD Projekt RED, I decided to trust my favourite game developer. And, man, have I made a mistake.

    I went into this game already expecting bugs. And the game does have    I have been an avid gamer since Diablo II, and this has been the first time ever that I preordered a game. Usually I am cautious of preorders, because of generally known reasons. However, since this game is developed by CD Projekt RED, I decided to trust my favourite game developer. And, man, have I made a mistake.

    I went into this game already expecting bugs. And the game does have bugs, no doubt. However, none of them bothered me too much. After 2 hours of play time the game crashed once, but this was also no big deal, since automatic saves are common and therefore, I didn’t lose any progress at all. Plus, the loading times aren’t too bad either, at least compared to the Witcher 3.

    Before I started up my big ol’ PS4, I already saw headlines mentioning some players to be disappointed with the game on old consoles. However, since nowadays everyone feels entitled to everything and anything, and people (especially gamers) act like spoiled **** I gave these headline the benefit of doubt. And wanted to experience it for myself.

    Oh... Man….

    As I said, I don’t mind the bugs so much, as they are not game breaking. And can be fixed fairly soon. However, I have never, ever, seen a AAA game so badly perform on my PS4 (or anywhere else for that matter):
    - Textures and NPCs sometimes need several seconds to load.
    - Objects need several seconds to load. I once took a left turn to get to Lizzy’s Bar and hit an obstacle – an invisible obstacle. 2 seconds later, a WHOLE **** BRIDGE appears right above me. And it turned out I hit one of its massive pillars.
    - The framerate is straight laughable. I do not need 60fps. But stuttering gameplay?
    - The resolution is a joke. It is so bad that I have to squint and get closer to the screen in order to see what button I have to press, because the button icons are too small and blurred.

    These flaws are so vast and omnipresent, that it makes the game unplayable.

    Look, Cyberpunk 2077 is mainly about three things: Having a **** kick ass story, having a beautiful and immersive world, and being an RPG.
    The elements of the story and RPG are definitely there. But the world? Man…. The city is so empty, it feels like on Covid-Lockdown. So what if the city looks nice at night (because it does, the general graphics aren’t bad at all), if there are no inhabitants on the streets to make it feel alive and create this immersion, which is so important for this game? I do not need **** motion blur, 4K, and other stuff. I just want a good running game, that, as advertised for years, is super **** immersive. I didn’t expect any technical revelations on the PS4. But I wanted to feel Night City. Which I do not.
    Right now, as much is it hurts to say, I must conclude that the game experience on the, in terms of market share, still extremely relevant base PS4 is abysmal.

    CDPR straight up IGNORED all console versions, because right now there is no console version running well, or running as promised to us, while giving us that overhyped Cyberpunk-feel and immersion. The next-gen consoles don’t even have a next-gen update yet – coming some time in 2021. Thus, only the PC version runs well. What has CDPR been doing during the last 7 years and since April? Optimization for old console generations my ass. How could they neglect the older console on such a massive scale? - and consoles in general for that matter. Because, even if I had a PS5, the game would still look like on PS4Pro – for months to come! The game was supposed to come out in April first, so initially it wasn’t even meant to be a next-gen game. WTF? Isn’t around 40% of the player base using consoles? And if yes, isn’t the majority of them also using base- and PS4 Pros’, since the PlayStation5 still seems to be an urban myth? That is straight screwing and ignoring almost half your player base.
    Now I can wait at least half a year to properly play the game, since I 1) have to get the legendary PS5 and 2) wait for the next-gen patch.
    And then, to cover up the **** optimization for the base consoles, CDPR doesn’t reveal or let any footage be revealed of these. What. A. ****. Dick. Move. I would have expected strategies of that sort from EA, but not from CDPR.

CDPR is silent about the issues and they purposely kept this version from public sight before release, because they knew how bad it is. It is a scam, they should have canceled oldgen versions, if they cant make it run on them. Wait for PS5, or buy on PC, but stay away from PS4 version.

    The PS4 and Xbox One version is impossible to play and unacceptable, CD totally lied about how the current generation runs the game, low resolution, frame rate locked at 20fps, numerous bugs, a very uncomfortable blur on the screen causing nausea. I really didn't want to bring this up, but the GOG/CDPR actions and attitude left me no choice.

    The Cyberpunk 2077 is raw, unpolished and bugged as hell. The more I play — the more broken quests, "silent" dialogues and other technical issues I get. I was sending bug reports and suggestions to the CDPR support since release, but I haven't got any replies. Zero. Not even automatic ones, so I don't know if they even check them or no. There are no answers, there are no patches, there is no roadmap. The day-one patch arrived on GOG later than on other platforms and after that only two useless "hotfixes" were released (it didn't fix anything for me). No real patches for a month, no new hotfixes for weeks. The Russian localization is terrible and Galaxy client resetting the language preferences every time I launch the game. (There is no such problem on other stores). And the client still crashes ten times per day.

    I've heard a lot of complaints about optimization, but at least I don't have any significant problems on that front despite some minor fps drops and object popping. Though I've built my PC especially for Cyberpunk and my TV supports only 1080p resolution at 60fps which is likely the main reason I’ve got an ok performance.

    GOG/CDPR stuff keep ignoring all problems with Cyberpunk and Galaxy launcher, but this isn't the only problem they prefer to turn a blind eye for. Some of you may know that they decided to cancel the long-awaited release of an indie game Devotion on GOG to please some Chinese bots. They've slaughtered the game without any reasons (the little placeholder with the hurtless joke was completely removed from the game years ago). And the main problem in this situation that GOG staff answered on Twitter bot messages within a few hours by fully cancelling the promised release not only for China but for the rest of the world too. At the same time, they keep ignoring thousands of their own customers for weeks. They’ve just silently deleted the announcement and cancellation posts without any official statement/explanation/comment, ignoring all questions and support tickets about their decision. Just check the GOG’s Community Wishlist — it is the most requested game of December and January. This is just another sign that GOG/CDPR changed their policy from being pro-customer to being pro-money. It isn't the first call, but it can be the last one for many loyal customers. Censorship can't be tolerated, especially political censorship — I'm sick of this **** in my everyday life.

    So, after all of this, I’ve got really disappointed. I tend to buy way more games than I have time to play. And I prefer playing on another platform, but I used to buy second copies of the games I like on GOG only because I liked it's policy, customer-oriented service and wanted to support my favourite devs. But this isn't the thing anymore. I haven't even played 99% of the games I've bought on GOG, so, I've tried to request a refund for them. And they refused.

    GOG support has finally answered on my ticket. First of all, they've completely ignored all my questions about Devotion. Secondly, they've refused to refund anything (not a single game from 340+ in my library!) They've also refused to comment on the bugs and estimated release of next patch for Cyberpunk 2077. (They've told me to contact "CDPR official channels" that haven't answered to support tickets in a month). Finally, they've refused to partly refund my physical copy of Cyberpunk 2077 so I could get the Steam version instead (I don't want to be forced to buy future addons on GOG and use their broken launcher anymore). They've told me that I should refund my physical collector's edition where I've bought it. But it isn't possible after you've opened the box and used the activation code. Well, I will be waiting for heavily discounted GOTY/Director's Cut/Enhanced edition on other platforms then.

    I was supporting and advertising GOG for years. I've bought all CDPR games on release, including collector's editions and versions for different platforms (not to mention figurines and tons of other merch). I didn't expect that these companies’ management will start to wipe their feet on its loyal customers. I’ve missed the moment when they turned into EA/Activision siblings, but as far as history shows — it's the one-way road in this industry.

    This is the last game I've bought on GOG. In the current state, I can't recommend it to anyone, nor I can recommend this platform anymore. I'm disgusted by GOG/CDPR recent actions and their new priorities. I'm disappointed by the way they've decided to handle situations around failed Cyberpunk launch and Devotion censorship. The setting, narrative, and characters are also incredible. but to give this game a 9 or a 10 like i want to would be dishonest. the performance on the base ps4 almost makes the game unplayable at times. Framerate issues, bugs that dont let you continue quests, character models not loading in, npcs clipping throughI just want to say that i absolutely love the content in cyberpunk.     Just give it a chance. After patch 1.51 on ps4pro it is playable. With some minor issues. But it is worth it. Plot is amazing, voice acting is a masterpiece. I love this game. Hope to play it someday on ps5.

    The technical performance of Cyberpunk 2077 on Playstation 4 consoles is simply unacceptable. Hard crashes every few hours, soft locks, bizarre graphical and physics glitches, single-digit frames per second when things get hectic, and graphics on par with late PS3 titles. It's an absolutely embarrassing follow-up to The Witcher 3.

    Customers: STOP falling for the hype and demand a better product instead of defending a billionaire conglomerate and fighting other fans. We should all be on the same side.

    Longer take:

    The most important reason people are angry at CDPR is the fact that the company KNEW they were releasing a 60$ videogame incapable of running properly on current gen. They knew it and they still went ahead with it because the PS4 version was guaranteed to be the best selling version. It's downright disingenuous.

    But even if you disregard this crucial truth, consider the following:

    *long, detailed exposition without proper pacing and direction does not equal good storytelling. Sometimes more is less.
    *beautiful art & visual design is very much appreciated, but if you're dealing with a VIDEOGAME, gameplay should be KING: if the aiming feels off & the AI is very inconsistent, you'll end up with something that should've been a tv series instead.
    *the fact that CDPR has a great history of supporting their games for a long time is encouraging, but it doesn't change how they screwed over day one buyers: the game should be at its best from the start; not when it's 20 bucks on sale. Pre-ordering is a mistake on itself, but it's still wrong from their part.

    That's it. It will sell amazingly well regardless because of marketing and hype but I hope it helps the company improve on their next project and the customers to be a bit more discerning with their purchases.    … Expand

    I played on ps5, witnessed no game breaking bugs, lots of glitches almost everywhere and so on but the thing is this game is bad. Graphics are bad, items and people get through each other, no ai, etc. I didn't refund it just because of my love for the witcher series and I genuinely want cdpr to get out of this mess as soon and as cleanly as possible and get back to working on witcher 4.I played on ps5, witnessed no game breaking bugs, lots of glitches almost everywhere and so on but the thing is this game is bad.     Error code CE-1082551 which causes the game to crash has happened 7 times I’ve only played for 13 hours The driving is horrendous, texture popping horrible controls with dated crash physics Random items appearing in cutscenes. Including when Jackie is dying and handover the chip the chip was replaced with a giant pistol which took up half scene and just distracted from the moment entirely. The story will be good , the combat is okay nothing game changing but good for an RPG

    This is looking like 8/9 game but there is just far too many issues which I’m seeing and it’s ruined the game. This game was announced for last gen and plays like rubbish on current gen. it’s not good enough.    … Expand

    The state of this game in PS4 is beyond unacceptable. It is unplayable, low fps, textures that takes ages to load, an empty city with almost no npc. Talking about npcs.. they appear and disappear randomly, and the game crashed for me 3 times in one hour. Just refund this garbage.

    I honestly don't understand how people can rate this game so poorly. Yes Cyberpunk had its bugs, but nothing major. Witcher 3 had bugs and turned out to be a masterpiece. I played Cyberpunk on a PS4 Pro and the game was awesome. I paid full launch price for the game and I do not regret it. Still worth that price imo.     I Dreamt of a game like shadow run for the longest timer and here we with cyberpunk. A game like shadowrun but in 3d this game is amazing anf i love it.

    Huge disappointment. Even on a PS5 this game is a technical mess. CDPR lost all my trust and I will never pre order a game from them again. Not even The Witcher 4 when it is released.

    This is the biggest disapointment for a game I wantes to get on day 1. Its an ugly game on ps4. It is unplayable and I am ,ot one to be picky with bugs at launch.

    What sucks more is that CDPR tried to cover this up! I thought they cherrished their consumer friendly rep? What the heck happened CDPR???

    Buggiest game I've played in a while, and it literally looks like an Atari game. I refunded it within 2 hours, definitely wasn't even close to ready to be launched when it was.

    I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive.     Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
