    CDPR used to have my utmost support. But there is no excuse for this. This game is unfinished, and a total sham. Congratulations on duping thousands of people out of money during a pandemic during covid for something that is simply not good enough. I will be waiting 6-12 months to see if 1. You fix it and 2. Don't charge full price. What a joke.

    There's likely an amazing game hiding in here somewhere but after playing for more than 6 hours i can say this game is a total mess. The graphics and performance get in the way of what could be an amazing game. The setting of cyberpunk in the futuristic night city would be beautiful and immersive if it didn't look like a game straight out of the ps2 era. I saw a clip from someone else onThere's likely an amazing game hiding in here somewhere but after playing for more than 6 hours i can say this game is a total mess. The graphics and performance get in the way of what could be an amazing game. The setting of cyberpunk in the futuristic night city would be beautiful and immersive if it didn't look like a game straight out of the ps2 era. I saw a clip from someone else on the fat ps4 and i literally thought i was looking at a clip from GTA Vice City as a joke but to my horror after the textures finally decided to join the party it was revealed to actually be Night City in 2020. If i could refund this game on ps4 i would, unfortunately it doesn't seem to be much better on newer consoles like the PS4 pro or the One X. From what i have played though the game itself seems amazing but if its hidden underneath Graphics that look like smeared diarrhea and performance that struggles to push past 20 frames in alot of sections with dead cities and unloaded assets this game is far beyond a nightmare to look at and feels even worse to play. If you have a gaming pc buy it on that it's probably 1000x better.… Expand

    What a horrible experience. I'm on Ps5 and I'm experiencing crashes, bugs, glitches but at least the framerate is stable. What's sad is that I can tell there is a fantastic game there but it's been ruined. CD Projekt have lost their consumer friendly image with this one.

    Buggy and boring and unplayable this is so bad I have to write till I reach 5000 letters but the game is so **** unplayable on ps4 they scammed all of us and didn't even apoligise

    I just did my first play through on my PS4 Pro. honestly not bad ill admit it had more then a few crashes and odd glitches and bugs but that's to be expected for a new game. Although Frames drop in crowded areas and when driving rather fast. I personally cant say whether there's any issues for myself on any other platform. I would still highly recommend this game but if you can wait untilI just did my first play through on my PS4 Pro. honestly not bad ill admit it had more then a few crashes and odd glitches and bugs but that's to be expected for a new game.     Bugs and crashes. NPC glitching under the floor. Audio delay, when in Combat the Sound is 3 sec delayed..

    Unplayable.. im sorry for that but i spend 69€ for a game that i cant even play for more than 20 min without crashe, no textures .. 1 point is just for story (seems nice)

    After many years of waiting I expected to be able to play a masterpiece. Instead, the experience is incomplete, not optimized for PS4, and with bugs that ruin the gaming experience.
    I hope that CD Projekt Red can solve it as soon as possible even if I fear it is impossible to optimize the game in a short time.

    I really want to love this game but, in its current state it is an unplayable mess. There are issues with the graphics, with the gameplay, with story progression, with frequent hard crashes, with save games being corrupted, inability to pick up items, hard earned loot falling through the environment making it uncollectable and so on and so on. The list is huge!

    Even after 1.04 its bad, in    I really want to love this game but, in its current state it is an unplayable mess. There are issues with the graphics, with the gameplay, with story progression, with frequent hard crashes, with save games being corrupted, inability to pick up items, hard earned loot falling through the environment making it uncollectable and so on and so on. The list is huge!

    Even after 1.04 its bad, in some ways its actually worse! It seems to have slowed the game to a crawl in some instances, particularly when opening the map and inventory screens, summoning vehicles, making phone calls and changing areas, it now hangs up for extended periods where it didn't before. I'm seriously hoping they can get it together, but having seen then extent of the issues I'm doubtful. There's major issues with pop in and no textures/delayed loading of textures. That being said, I'm not too perturbed by the graphics issues, I've been gaming since atari and commodore etc so graphics arent the be all and end all for me.
    However, the frame rate tanks hideously on a regular basis, a minor issue when just driving around the (rather empty) city, but a huge problem during gun fights, as it makes aiming and combat a chore. Between the hitches and delays in loading and registering controller inputs and the low frame rate (along with frequent hard crashes) i can't recommend that anyone buys this game on the state it is in. I cannot rate this game any higher than a 1 at the moment as it is unplayable currently which is actually worse than having no game at all! There is potential here but I fear, without a monumental effort from CDPR, it will remain unrealised    … Expand

    The game is either not finished or made for the PS4 and Xbox One. Either way, it's a disaster. Not to be taken on these two consoles.
    It's a shame because otherwise the game is excellent but unplayable as it is ...

All in all I have had a good time with the game, and as a long time fan of the tabletop as well as other cyberpunk properties like Bladerunner and Johnny mnemonic I have to say I am pleasantly surprised.     The game is good and fun when it comes to the gameplay sidequest and story.

    Quality wise it is like a Bethesda game after it gets patched.It will get better. im 12 hours in and i mostly encountered graphical issues

    Il give it a 10 just to even the score out. Atm its at a strong 7

    Bad wanted sistem, bugs everywhere, sometimes you cant finish the missions, lost of fps rate, too much popping, a deception, nice history and art in the world músic is amazing just when the sound works weel cause theres audio bugs too

They decided to show NO gameplay on ps4 because they knew it would look like **** Unless you REALLY don't care about the 720p graphics, avg 25 fps, and the numerous bugs thatCyberpunk 2077 on ps4 is an absolute SCAM. The story is great but the performance sucks. I bought the game because I thought the PS5 optimized version was out, and that's my fault but I thought that even with not having that, the PS5 running a backwards capable PS4 version should be fine right? No. Yes, 60 FPS is great but crashes happen every time I play it. I usually can't play for longer than an hour without a crash and then after the crash, I get another 20-30 mins in before it crashes again. It's just not a great experience. Do better CDPR.… Expand

    Most over-hyped blunder in videogame history. 8 years for this? 8 years....
    The story is just above average and the city design is nice but everything else is boring and terrible.
    They sold a deal of false goods.

    I've gone back to playing and thoroughly enjoying Marvel's Avengers over this. Congrats CDPR, your release was more disappointing than Avengers.

    Der einst Gute Ruf ist zerstört. Was der Entwickler hier fabriziert haben. Der Umgang mit den eigenen Fans. Ich rate von einem Kauf für die "alten Systeme" ab. Die zwei Punkte vergebe ich für die sehr hochwertige Synchronisierung und Storie.
    Mehr kann ich einfach nicht vergeben. Schon allein für die Review Politik vorab.

    Cyberpunk é a maior decepção do ano, a CD prometeu algo e entregou algo muito diferente para um jogo que foi adiado tantas vezes, você não consegue ficar 5 minutos no jogo sem presenciar inúmeros bugs diferentes, ele aparentava ser algo completamente novo, muitas mecânicas foram retiradas durante o desenvolvimento, o jogo é difícil de se jogar devido os inúmeros bugs que deixam o jogoCyberpunk é a maior decepção do ano, a CD prometeu algo e entregou algo muito diferente para um jogo que foi adiado tantas vezes, você não consegue ficar 5 minutos no jogo sem presenciar inúmeros bugs diferentes, ele aparentava ser algo completamente novo, muitas mecânicas foram retiradas durante o desenvolvimento, o jogo é difícil de se jogar devido os inúmeros bugs que deixam o jogo insuportável, mina gameplay se rua extremamente legal se não fosse por culpa dos bugs, a história é ótima, mas ela seria muito mais proveitosa e se o jogo não fosse quase injogavel pelos seus problemas… Expand

    The game is unplayable on PS4, unfortunately. They developers should have made it a timed exclusive on PC and work on consoles thereafter. Instead they opted to lie to everyone else. Especially the console gamers.
    And the next gen versions are not good either. It's the same version as PS4/Xbox one but with slightly better resolution and frameeate. This is a disgrace.

    If you are the owner of PS5, then the only problem you will not have is the FPS issues. I recommend waiting for the full PS5 version to be released, otherwise you will not have the experience that you would like from the nextgen console.

How much does it take to buy off game reviewers these days? I guarantee CD Projekt spent more money paying for positive previews then on the game development...or even what they paid to Keanu Reeves.

    Obvious take always: 1. Never pre-order video games again 2. Never, ever buy game from CDPR again!

    20 hours on ps4 pro already. Great game, witcher 3 in the future (even better). Lot of tasks, great plot, great details and visuals (I'm waiting for full ps5 version). Fps during a fights playable, could be better tho. On strong pc it has to be mind-blowing. 10/10, few more updates and it will be PERFECT.

    Cyberpunk on console is an excellent game veiled in a fog of poor optimisation and quality control. I feel like a beta tester, not a customer. Throughout my playtime I've experienced crippling performance, crashes, numerous glitches and bugs, noting them as I go along.

    With the Day 1 patch applied, my character found it hard to keep it in their pants, V's genitalia frequently made an appearance through pants in the inventory screen. As I continue through the game I would walk into hallways, where there’d be floating holstered guns, and floating dead enemies. I tried to loot a body and was launched through the building’s walls and killed as I fell off the apartment block I was in. Of course, V was somewhere he shouldn’t be during that level and the game crashed. I re-spawned in the wall of the building so I had to restart the game from scratch. I entered V’s apartment exploring the various rooms, I look into the mirror for a rare opportunity to actually see my character to find myself completely naked, regardless of having clothes equipped. Exploring Night City, I observe a number of duplicate NPCs standing on each other’s heads, I watch a character far worse off than Lara Croft from the 1996 version of Tomb Raider walk toward me, gradually turning into a complete character as they leave my FOV. Buildings turn from weird blurry lumps into what resemble buildings as I drive past them. Guns *Leviosaaaah* their way out of my hands when drawing them and disappear from my inventory, never to be found again.

    I’m about 10 hours into the game, it has crashed more than 20 times. I’ll get out of my car, the game crashes, I add an attribute point, the game crashes, I draw a gun, the game crashes, I drive over a bridge, my car explodes and the game crashes, I finish a mission, the game crashes, I get out of a bed/elevator/room/chair - the game crashes. Cyberpunk crashes more than ANY other game I’ve ever owned, I never thought I’d say that Skyrim and Fallout are more reliable in comparison. Having spent hundreds of hours on their previous game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, I can definitively say, it never even crashed once.

    There are some redeeming qualities to the game. The writing of the game’s plot and dialogue as far as I’ve played are excellent, even with its futuristic “cyber-dystopian” setting you find yourself buying into every line and the voice acting/live-capture in almost all cases is primo. Combat feels great, when it isn’t crashing… The Katana and fist fighting are more button mash-y than I’d like though, I’d appreciate the ability to lock onto an enemy in hand to hand/katana combat. It’d be a little less “flailing my arms around till I land a hit”-ish.

    You have to respect the vision CD Projekt Red had/have for this game, somewhere hidden within the mammoth world of Cyber City is an excellent game, I just don’t think they’ve achieved that yet on console. I would expect a small handful of glitches and some optimisation not to be completely ironed out in a game as huge and ambitious as this, but they occur often enough that it’s unplayable 80% of the time. I have spent most of my play-time on side missions in fear of completing the main story too quickly, but now I've decided to stop playing. Because I lack the patience to go any further.

    I can’t play the intolerable, incomplete mess Cyberpunk is on the console generation it was originally intended for. It's frustrating and not what anyone paid for. I will return to this game, I know what it can/will be. The weeks ahead for CD Projekt Red are going to be telling, otherwise I fear their player-base will plummet if these issues aren't addressed.    … Expand

    I really wanted this game to be something we polish people can be proud of. But it's not even finished. It's REALLY NOT FINISHED. The city feels empty, NPCs are dumb as **** If you stop your vehicle on the road, AI will just stop instead of driving around. Dunno how could they release a game in a state like this.

    I have been playing this game on PS5 and the game runs very smooth. The game crashes about every 90 minutes or so, so I save often and don’t usually miss much. I also love how quick the loading times are. So basically I haven’t had the problems other people have been having on older systems. I love the game so far and the story and presentation are amazing.     The problem with Cyberpunk 2077 is that both parties are correct; it is a great and deep game with a robust RPG system, intriguing world and filled with colourful storylines.     Sadly it does suffer from destructive bugs, visual issues and crashes all the same. NPCs and enemies trapped in T-poses mid-combat, enemies clipping the environment and becoming trapped, NPCS spawning in the middle of the road, weapon stats boxes sticking to the main screen and not disappearing when you move away, as well as random crashes and save corruptions.

    Anyone with even a minor gripe about this game is dubbed as a "hater" and challenged to "try and do better than CDPR", a defensive comeback that was popular back in primary school. We're living in an age where it's seemingly acceptable for folk out there to review-bomb a game like TLOU2 based solely on the body type of its female antagonist, but no one is allowed to say anything negative about the likes of Cyberpunk 2077 and its inability to function on even a basic gameplay level.

    How would you want us to critique this game, if not by holding its technical issues to account? Bethesda took a beating with Fallout 76, for example, and that game suffered some similar bugs and glitches. CDPR are not immune to criticism. Cyberpunk 2077 has the foundation of a brilliant game at its core, but it needs a little more work. The first few days were rough but I have faith in this game.    … Expand

    As huge fan of genere, and CDP. I have to say Cyberpunk is first game that I try to get money back from sony store, after few hours of TRYING to play on my ps4. Thats sad i will try again in few months, mayby on other platform.

    I have to admit that I only created a Metacritic account to rate this game. I "tried" to play this game on a PS4 and it is impossible. Not only does the game have tons of graphic bugs, but it also crashes frequently to a point where it is impossible to play.

    I have returned the game. Do not buy this game for PS4, at least now.

    CP2077 for the ps4pro is, at this moment, a complete and utter scam. Also, the performance, graphics and FOV are so incredibly poor and broken they make me dizzy and give me a headache.

That said, with Cyberpunk 2077, it is the first time I chose NOT to play a game I've waited long for because my immersion is broken at literally every 5-10 seconds of gameplay. I did not expect the game to run on a 100% stable 30fps, but I certainly did not expect framerates as low as 15fps and a CONSTANT 20-23fps on open areas and even frequent drops on indoors locations. Sadly, beyond this (or maybe because of this) there are also clear mechanical issues. Sprinting and using heaing items is absolutely irresponsive, sometimes I have to press the button 3-4 times until the game responds.

    I am extremely disapointed. We all know the base ps4s are dated hardware but we've seen many other extremely demanding games delive a much better experience on the platform. I've managed to play AC Valhalla, for an example, even with its share of problems, Horizon Zero Dawn, Control, The Last of Us 2, God Of War (even though some of these are not open world games)... the list goes on. Besides that, you have announced the game many years ago and launched this product for PC and CURRENT GEN consoles, when its clear next gen consoles (even Xbox Series S) are running it more properly (still, there are bugs, but at least the immersion is there with a good framerate).

    CDPR has launched an unfinished product. They ran out of time and it shows. SAMO story that we faced with the Final Fantasy Versus XIII/XV situation. I just hope on this case the developer actually gets to fix it. My feelings for all the employees who have worked/are working on this game and had to crunch under an impossible deadline (and certainly voiced it).

    I really wish CDPR fixes the base console state, as much as it pains me to think how much more crunch it will probably generate for their employees.

    Finally, the widespread fact that the project paid itself with pre-sales is proof that the game industry needs some radical changes. As console version consumers, we are utterly disrespected.

    I'm giving it a 1/10 'cause I realize how good of a game this is, but you lose 9 points as its an unfinished project.    … Expand

    There is no need for review bombing or hate and for those who are playing this game yet give it a zero isn't being fair just because it's buggy. Its unfinished understand but be more reasonable. Give scores based off visuals, gameplay (the bit that works) story etc. Be realistic with the scores.
    So as I say ignore these reviews and take note of what all the critics say because there are positives and when the bugs are fixed, get this game. Mass effect andromeda went through the same problems. I waited till the game was fixed and I played right through with no issues.    … Expand

    it has bugs, as much as you hate playing this game and the only reason that som people use to play it, is it's sexual scenes.

    I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive.     Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
