    Almost all bad reviews this game got are because of the numerous bugs and glitches the game has which completely ruin the game, but honestly even if those were not there, i would have a hard time actually recommending this game to just about anyone. From the start, the character creation system is really lacking. From the start, the character creation system is really lacking. I was not expecting something as in depth as say Black Desert but when even an unmodded Skyrim can boast to have more customization than your game, we have a problem.

    The game's AI is just awful. games like Oblivion were doing AI that had its own life, schedule it followed and stuff like that & that game came out in 2006. Meanwhile in Cyberpunk, you do as much block their path and they have no idea what to do. Shoot in their general vicinity and civilians will just cower in fear for all eternity.... Speaking of shooting near civilians, the police and wanted system in the game is some baby **** Not expecting something as complex as the one in Red Dead Redemption 2 but the system in this game is insulting. cops literally spawn behind you no matter where you are if you commit a crime and you could cause the biggest massacre in history and then just take a left in the next corner and they will literally stop looking for you... like what's even the point?

    The world is beautiful to look at (unless you are on ps4/xbox but i'm ignoring that part in my review) but it is completely empty of things to do besides the main story... I mean, if you look at the mini map, you will think there's a lot to do with all the markers on it but then you go visit them and find the same objectives in all of them... just go to X zone and shoot some members of a random gang committing a random crime or whatever... I liked to play by sneaking and hacking everything, bc if I'm playing an RPG that lets me sneak and kill everything silently, I will always build that kind of character and I had fun with that at the start... until I didn't bc the AI is awful, like sometimes they could see me in places where they have no business being able to see me and sometimes I could literally pass right next to them and they couldn't see me at all, It's ridiculous. The hacking in the game is superficial at best. I mean, the hacking in Watch Dogs was miles better and that game was already mediocre.

    The only saving grace the game has is the story, the story is actually really good and even that is not flawless... since the game's advertisement had me think that the character origin you pick at the start would actually be important to your character's story like in Dragon Age Origins or at least unlock some small quests and interesting dialogue options that can change the course of a quest like in the first Mass Effect... instead all it does is show you a 10 mins prologue quest that has no influence on the story and fades into the same "6 months later" passage of time montage no matter which choice you pick but after that lame montage the story properly picks up and is great throughout with some great or at least interesting characters.

    There are still so many other flaws I could go more in depth on but I will instead just mention quickly... like the driving which actually made me miss the Mako from the original Mass Effect. The enemies just being bullet sponges that make even fallout 4 look like it has great design in comparison.

    Overall I give the game an 8 out of 10 on story, 7 out of 10 in music/sound design, and 1 out of 10 on gameplay, optimization, difficulty, game design, etc etc,    … Expand

    Having lots of fun playing this game. A few glitches and have had it crash on me once, but I've played bathesda launch titles. Driving is a pain but I don't play GTA or other driving games other than mario Cart. I walk everywhere and get into trouble. Run into shootouts with cops or gangs mugging people.

    I would've been less disappointed if they had just cancelled it for current gen consoles. Playing this just made me kind of sad in general. Guess that's what I deserve for getting excited...

    The game looks like a bad ps3 game, the mechanics are off when picking up items. The can be tuned to decent up close but the depth of field is horrible. Some items from a far look ps2ish and you can barely make them out. Even with all the bugs and bad scenery to me it’s still a fun game.

    The best video game I've played in 30 years of gaming! Occasional crashes with the launch binaries are insignificant compared to the mastercraft of storytelling, graphics and music.

    What do i mean? Well i've recently discovered few glitches (2 of them actually crashed my game, the rest could be fixed by finding an exit, or just by loading the different save file). Lemme tell you those two examples:
    1. When there was a mission, where you had to go to a bar between 6:00 pm to 6:00 am (Nomad Path BTW) right at the beginning i've decided to press the Triangle when i was inside the bar, and oh boi, it just crashed, like nothing.
    2. I was riding a motorcycle after killing several civils. Then when i've bumped into something, and nothing happened right? Well, after pressing R2 to kind of recover it crashed again. Ignoring the glitch side, the gameplay is pretty well done, and the plot is pretty neat.
    Please CDP Red. Fix those goddamn glitches, and bugs .
    (PS I was playing on the PS5 btw. Via Boost Mode? Also i've encountered that second glitch even after installing the patch)
    EDIT: Turns out the game is much more unoptimized then i thought. It is so bad, that it crashed on me three times in a row.

    Countless bugs and glitches, FPS dropping down to around 10-15 during gunfights, NPC's poppin in and out of existance to left and right, literally the WORST A.I system I'v seen in around 20 years...this game on Ps4 is a total JOKE

    A huge let down to all people who bought this game. It's unplayable in ps4, even after the patch. They promised 2 HUGE patches on the next year, finishing by February. So what? Why launch the game in December if it will only be playable in March? CD Projekt Red is just another money money I want money company.

    This is an amazing game, the story is compelling as well as the characters and you really feel immersed within Night City. The issue is that the low frame rate, constant glitches, blurry graphics makes the game literally unplayable. On day 1 of the game's release, it literally crashed 4 times (twice in a row each).     The game is simply not complete. While it seems to run a little better on my PS4 Pro vs what I've seen on a base PS4, the game still does not deliver on the expectations established prior to launch. Moreover, the developers decision to withhold any console footage prior to launch was disingenuous.

    If I pulled this kind of stunt at work I'd be fired very quickly.

    La estrategia de venta que ha pretendido llevar a cabo CD Projekt es la más sucia y rastrera que recuerdo en la historia de los videojuegos. Después del chasco que me llevé el día 10 de Diciembre jugando a las primeras horas en PS4, no pienso darle otra oportunidad en el futuro, ni cuando tenga la PS5 ni cuando tenga un PC mejor. Shame!

    Absolutely unplayable on the ps4. Feels like a mix between Assassins Creed Unity (bugs) and No Man’s Sky (hype). I’m not getting a refund, but it will be the last time I pre order anything from CDPR. This is Bethesda Fallout 76 quality.

    This game was absolutely NOTHING like what the advertisements were for this game. It's slow paced and plays a lot like a telltale game with RPG parts. The gun play is clunky and there is not much of it. This is NOT an action packed game like the ads were saying. We were lied to. Big time. The dialogue is childish and obsessed with sex and sexuality. Don't get me wrong sex is great but come on there is so much more to people than that. The graphics are nothing impressive just typical. The world that was created in Night City reminds me of what writers wrote about the future being from a 1980s perspective. Smoking, swearing, raw sexuality, tattoos and crassness with a very dated look from clothing choices, hair, script and the world that they're in. I'm very disappointed. As far as glitches and whatever. Encountered many. The game crashed 9 times while I played, vehicles hovering when they're not supposed to be. Command buttons not doing anything. Main mission people missing etc. I'm sure much of this will be fixed. I'm more concerned with the shallow, paper thin world and gameplay and childish unwitty script that took 8 years to develop and write? What?? The game was played for 9 hours before writing this review.    … Expand

    In 2012 cyberpunk was announced before the PS4 was even available for purchase in November 2013. Therefore, the argument does not work, it has only been programmed for Nextgen consoles.

    It's a disaster and, after 8 years of waiting, a disappointment. Yes it is a scam and I want my money back rightly. So far I have not received any feedback.

    Playing on a ps5. Encountered a bug a few hours in where it wouldn't let me finish a quest. It was right after defeating the first boss. Tried multiple times to talk to who I needed to but a pushy npc was stopping me. Had to reload the game and it brought me back to at least 20 minutes before the boss.     The menu with your inventory is so bad. Also the progression is bad. All the perks are in their own sub category so it takes forever to try to find where you want to apply perk points.    … Expand

Alas, that isn’t possible and nothing will stop me from feeling like I’ve been fed lies for years and robbed of my money/time.

    I gave the game a 1 because when my game functioned smoothly (every 20 - 60 min) the action was fun, but that’s the only saving grace. Driving feels awful, AI is horrible, cops appear out of thin air, the character progression is a jambalaya, music on the radio stations sucks, and this game is just booty.

    If Keanu Reeves can’t even make me want to stick around in the game nothing will. Shame on you CDPR for all the shade around consoles and feeding us lies.     This is the best looking PSP game. Worst than 2015 rpg games. The NPCs in this game are like zombie. Lack of interaction between NPCs. It had a lot ridiculous bugs and glitches causing bad experience of the game. No customization of cars. Control of car is like driving a boat. In-game sensitivity setting will be reset everytime when my ps4 is switch off. Game always freeze and run into error.

As in I cannot believe that CD Projekt Red released the game for base consoles in this state, let alone the fact that they intentionally covered up the fact that the game's frame rate, graphical fidelity, constant crashing and insane amount of bugs makes playing this game a thoroughly unpleasant experience. The world is pretty enough, the exposition learnedThis game is truly unbelievable. As in I cannot believe that CD Projekt Red released the game for base consoles in this state, let alone the fact that they intentionally covered up the fact that the game's frame rate, graphical fidelity, constant crashing and insane amount of bugs makes playing this game a thoroughly unpleasant experience. The world is pretty enough, the exposition learned through various texts and shards picked up across the map give the world some depth, and the main story is engaging and unique, although it benefits most from Pondsmith's incredible lore and its accompanying mechanics. But say none of the bugs and crashes and graphical oopsies ended up in the game.
    It's still... extremely underwhelming.
    The AI is virtually nonexistent and every time you turn a full 360 half of the NPCs around you are replaced by a different model. Cars only spawn in a 20 meter radius around you and there's no kind of driving AI as far as i can tell, although if you don't focus on it too much it isn't a huge problem. CDPR claimed that the NPCs would be on a full day-night cycle with unique assigned paths and that is definitely not true. CDPR said this would be an RPG where you can choose a dynamic lifepath and approach problems in all sorts of ways that would affect the course of the story. This is.. sort of true, but the lifepath is 15 minutes long and then conforms to a single story path that is completely linear until the end of the game.
    I'm still enjoying myself in the world- the combat is simple but euphoric when the frame rate is at a manageable level, and to reiterate, the story is really really engrossing. The music, both the licensed soundtrack and the OST are INCREDIBLE and the design of the world, both indoors and outdoors, is absolutely dripping with atmosphere. But playing this game leaves a sour sweaty-armpit taste in the mouth knowing that CDPR promised more than what was possible (and it has to be said that the fanbase expected more than what was promised) and then failed to deliver, all while shadily covering up the abysmal overall state of the game and horrific state on last-gen machines like a legit corpo.
    There's a great game in here somewhere, but it's not the one I'm playing.    … Expand

    All the hype for this game was over done. Yes the game seems good, but on the PS4 pro it is a joke. Within the first 10 minutes of the game the issues were alarming. Cut scenes not working correctly, frame rate drops, and just not a good experience. I would not suggest getting this until all the bugs, issues are resolved when the patches come out in Jan. and Feb.

    I've requested a refund on the ps store, here's hoping I get refunded soon. What a buggy mess this is. Couldn't progress from about 2 hours in on multiple attempts and reloads from different save points. Saddest part is I can see a good game deep inside... I strongly suggest waiting until late next year and checking out more reviews when the patches come out. Do not pay £50 for this rubbish.

    Some music for location was great, like Afterlife. Some music was not so great. However, the Radio option does let you change music preferences. Compared to Witcher 3 such as Priscilla's song music disappoints or at least doesn’t compare.

    Audio. Various issues of lips moving or not moving when words coming out. Other than Johnny, I found the audio voices overall lackluster and not impressive. Also, many, many times I was in middle of conversation and someone buzzed in on phone or many dialogues going at same time.

    Graphics/Gameplay
    Some video cut scenes seem sloppily and hastily put together. Scenes such as picking up glass to drink appear in your arm not hand and nothing pours out of glass. Characters in streets- I saw the exact same person walking by each other many, many times. Difficulty at normal is too easy. I got to the max. street level of 50 really quick in the game, too quickly. A couple of the quests were sick and depraved, but I expected a whole lot more as this is a fallen world with dystopian punk criminal evil corporatism etc… A big problem I have with gameplay is the characters and people walking around. There are ZERO options to engage or talk…to any of them. I remember in Witcher 3 being in a random village and being able to at least have some minor conversations with random NPC's.

    Abilities/Cyberware
    Why do you get athletics points for simply standing up from a couch? Laughable. Completely do NOT get the whole BD thing. For investigative purposes, sure. Why do you have an interface and can't use it? Why buy BD movies that can't be used? Cyberware options were a lot more limited than I expected and only a few were really useful. I could have done without almost all of them. Ability trees could use improvement. I only found a few interesting and

    Religious tone
    CDPR should be ashamed! Its one thing if they pick on everyone and all religions equally but they don’t! Let me give some examples:
    - at one point you can "recite the lord's prayer? But not really just part of it.
    - One fixer said "exact justice) killing) on behalf of our Lord." Come on…
    - Billboards everywhere of "The passion." CDPR intentionally mocked and degraded Jesus' crucifixion through a storyline I wont go into. This was insulting to Christianity but since its Christianity it doesn’t matter.
    - The gun Skippy says a line like "according to Christian doctrine you are going to burn in hell." Why does CDPR keep twisting and referring to Christian doctrine?
    - One scene asked type of food you want, tofu, fish or locust peperoni. They make a specific, intentional effort to avoid pork. Why? We know why, Muslims will be up in arms.
    Continual attack on Christianity. OK. So lets see… is anything negative said of inferred about Islam? HELL NO.
    Political Correctness
    Really didn’t expect this from CDPR, at least not to the extent they went to.
    In clubs saw NPC girls holding hands yet nowhere did I see a man/women doing this. I saw one all-male strip club with only males in it. The other clubs were NOT all female ones. There were a LOT of homosexual only relationships…more that hetero. Why get involved in this at all…why not make sex indifferential? Because CDPR is trying to blatantly force new PC'ness down your throat.

    Creation of a woman with penis? Really? NPC talking about gender transitions. Females with male voices. I didn’t see a true multicultural environment. Most of NPC and voices were Chinese. It seems like the tried to take ethnicities and blend them into one color. I get CDPR is based in Poland and may hate USA. I am okay with the whole corporate "evilness" in Cyberpunk. However, why are there so many "gangs" with USA like flags and they are compared to terrorists?

    Romance Options
    What a 100% complete let down. I remember back to old games like BG2 and the romance development over time with Aerie. That was awesome and real. Nothing in Cyberpunk feels like a romance. There are no deep storylines that seem to organically grow over time. CDPR is too intent on trying to be PC and "diverse" and lost focus on just making good romance stories and characters.
    Misc.
    - Need autoloot function.
    - Computers. Why the Net option? There is nothing to explore?
    - there are vending machines EVERYWHERE. Why? Not helpful.
    - Item weight limit bother.
    - card pickups everywhere. WHY? Make them more important
    - Its clear CDPR rushed this game out too soon and did not polish it. In fact, I question if any beta testing was even done.
    Overall Conclusion/Thought on game
    CDPR is their own worst enemy. Go back to Witcher formula!!!    … Expand

    It's horrible. It's unplayable.
    Ive made a refund on my game, and I'm going to purchase a used game later or when it's on sale.
    I doubt that they will get the ps4 version working at all.

    It looks like a ps2 game in the base ps4 console. I can understand that ray tracing, depth of the field may not be available, but I am not even getting 720p resolution along with game braking bugs. If the game can't run in base console then why releasing it in ps4 ? I was skeptical about buying it, but since I have learnt it is running surprisingly well in ps4, I bought it, and it is justIt looks like a ps2 game in the base ps4 console.     I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive.     Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
