    The campaign is amazing. (Aside from plot holes) Same goes for co-op. But the multiplayer is so unbelievably terrible. The map designs are awful. It is also very difficult for new players to have a chance in this game because you are always put against people who are a higher level than you.

    easily a 0/10. the amount of cheaters is increasing from day to day. they announced that u get a notification when a reported cheater gets banned. so far people with 70 frags 360° nocoping seem to be just good at the game. its sad because its a refreshing BR but infinity ward isnt sadly enough able to get rid of cheaters.

    This 4 is not for single-player or Warzone, IMHO nowadays singleplayer is not needed at all. This 4 is for multiplayer.
    Pros:
    1. Really good animation; 2. Pretty cool graphics and not so bad optimization; 3. Good sound and soundtrack; 4. Excellent weapons customization; 5. IW add new guns and maps in game for free; 6.     2. Players don't have ability to choose map in 2020. This ability is standart for any shooter for almost 20 years, but Infinity Ward still don't know about it. IW, play any other shooter, even F2P. I suppose this fact proves, that many maps in game is poor, and IW understand - if they gives players ability to choose map, at least half of maps will be absolutely empty.
    3. Poor balance in match. Quite often I play versus or with much more skilled players, than anybody in match. It leads to giant gap between commands, some player can have k/d about 3 or higher (when any other have 1.5 max), that is absolutely unachivable in fair match.
    4. Ruined weapon balance. Some of guns are much weaker, than others and some are much stronger, than others. It leads to situation when some of guns never uses at all. MP5 or MP7 are much stronger, than UZI; M4A1 are much stronger, than SCAR, .357 Snake Shot - is absolutely leader in pistols and so on.
    5. One of the worst spawn system I've ever seen. Best example here is Shipment map. At least 3-4 times in match you will die 1 second after you spawn, because you've spawned in front of SHOOTING enemy. Few times I spawned already dead under enemy vehicle and 3 times I spawned in MY molotov cocktail, that I've throwed before death. How is this even possible? IW haven't played a single match on this map? No play-tests at all?
    6. After almost any patch IW fix 3 bugs and makes 10 new.
    7. Nowadays game requires 187 Gb available space - it's more than 2 GTA V or 2 BF V. Why people still don't have ability to delete singleplayer?    … Expand

    I don’t want to talk about gameplay at all, after 2 hours I set the easiest difficulty level and just “ran” this shooting gallery.

    This could have been one of my favorit games in the last years. I do really like the gamplay and the way they builded these atmospheric house raiding mission. But in the end the story is just a disgusting piece of propaganda. I'm really sorry for the developers (I'm one myself). It must have been outrageous to see that the propaganda is gonna overshadow everything. Sorry for my RussianThis could have been one of my favorit games in the last years. I havent played the campaign but from what i heard it is a propoganda towards russian people, portraying them as bad people which is very wrong. I am playing warzone and that game is still **** beta, it is season 3 right now and it will end in a week. There are also hackers, campers, toxic people in the game.     The game when it comes to campaign and co-op is great and the detail for gun mechanisms and etc is phenomenal but the main problem is the TERRIBLE EXCUSE FOR MULTIPLAYER I've played call of duty since Call of duty 3 (2006) and this is one of the worst multi players I've ever seen since ghosts

    Campagne superbe , mais très courte (4 heures en ultime) , multijoueur blindé de MICRO TRANSACTION , aucun mode zombies (après c'est pas très génant) remplacé par le mode survie qui sert à rien, bref un jeu remplit de campeur également.
    Ne conseille pas sauf le battle royal , mais j'oublié il est gratuit

    I think the game itself is pretty good. Single player is decent but to me it doesn't matter that much. When it comes to multiplayer it's very good. I like the change where there are no prestiges and no grinding. Sadly it's still the game where not you are getting better but your guns. After adding warzone it got a little bit better but as I don't like the BRs overall it didn't made me comeI think the game itself is pretty good.     The campaign falls flat, with a few highlights amongst a story that fails to build tension or convey the stakes of your actions. None of the antagonist characters are interesting or memorable. The graphics impress for sure: some beautiful worlds have been created here, yet each one feels too much like the last. Far fewer memorable moments compared to the original trilogy. I get a sense that this game's campaign tried to take itself a tad too seriously, and just needed to open up a bit. I'm not saying that every mission needs a crazy set piece, but set pieces exist for a reason: they deliver excitement. The multiplayer is held back by boring map design and what feels like a step backwards in the gunplay from prior games. The game tries too hard to detach itself from previous titles, and the fact that they're bringing back previous maps into the game shows that none of the current maps appear to be resonating with the player base. As for spec ops: well, it's a joke. It's a tagged on mode that isn't worth your time. Warzone is a good bit of fun, however as it is a standalone it will not influence the score of this review. Overall, Modern Warfare is definitely a disappointment, however the developers can use this to rebound and create a fantastic new Call of Duty for the next generation.… Expand

    i have played multiplayer a lot. Why must there be smoke and debris randomly coming out of everywhere all the time. It makes it hard to see and its unrealistic. The sniper glare is extremely annoying and unrealistic. The game is slow paced, the running is too slow for people who enjoy fast paced FPS. I wish i had a nitro button 90% of the time. The game modes could benefit from allowingi have played multiplayer a lot. Why must there be smoke and debris randomly coming out of everywhere all the time. Please make small maps with maximum number of players so we can be satisfied. The guns and attachments are diverse but there are still many incredible modern guns that are missing in this game.     This is a brilliant game and the best that call of duty has been since MW3. Very fun game but shame about the Russophobic storyline in the campaign which was off putting.

The complete revamp of the game's graphics and gameplay was a long time coming, and provides a fantastic multiplayer mode.     Ok the real part of the game the multiplayer. starting with pros, gunfight was a great addition and the weapons feel amazing. Now to the cons, easily the worst maps of any call of duty. This game promotes camping and caters towards new players. The weapons while feeling good are incredibly unbalanced. Killstreaks are unbalanced and everything about this game screams broken. Not making dead silence a perk is another dumb decision. Bringing back old maps doesn't help either because they have made this into a camp heavy cod so your favorite old maps end up leaving a bad taste in your mouth.    … Expand

    Amazing graphic but worst game movement and playing ever. Gun damage is unrealistic like it is in fortnite and every update only makes it worse.

    With the next Call of Duty being released this October or maybe a couple months after October i think its time to write a review about this game. For the campaign part of the game i must say that I really enjoyed my time playing not just because of the characters but it has the grittiness and the awful things of war but its just the same like every other call of duty campaign. For the multiplayer section, I kust say as a fan of the series since 2007 and a person who played almost every interaction of Call of Duty, this is probably the most boring and slowest experience ive ever played. The maps are too big and there is a unreasonably amount of Doors, Windows and just corners and placed that shouldn’t be there. They punish you for moving and they reward the players who camp in a building with a shotgun/LMG/AR. They did however bring back classic old maps but they ruin almost every single one of them with them adding buildings and doors that shouldn’t be there. On the contrary, the micro transactions have been handled almost beautifully and the fact that they are giving us free maps and guns at the same time on the all the platforms really makes this game nice. Another big core thing that the Developers messed with are the spawns. Out of all my time of playing this game and the past games, the spawns here are NOTHING like they were ever. For example if you have a teammate in the enemy spawn, you have a high chance of spawning on that teammate while you should have spawned back where the other 4 teammates are. On top of that, the spawn system causes you too lose and gain map control to which if you are a competitive player, you know how huge map control is and how important it can be to win games. Also the graphics of this game are the best in any Call Of Duty game. I also LOVED how they did the gunsmith in the game and it is beautiful with how creative you can make your gun. Also all of the camouflages in the game are nice but sadly the amount of stuff you have to do to earn every single camouflage is just time consuming and utterly annoying. For example some challenges like mounting kills are retarded and just awful. However if you do all the camouflage challenges for ALL base launch guns in the game, you will earn this rare camouflage and as much as i love the camouflage and all its not worth doing the WHOLE process. Also, they did add mastery challenges but sadly in my opinion they are not worth it and the obsidian camouflage that you get is also nothing special but its not that hard to get and isn’t that cool. Another thing i want to add is the time period that the game is based in. Now i’m not a military expert or have any experience but as far as I am concerned nothing of the equipment/guns seem too far fetch or unrealistic. Another thing is the kill-streaks. Now as much as I love kill-streaks and all i think that score-streaks were better due to having people play objective more. Another thing about the kill-streak system was the fact that you can’t lap your streaks constantly and can only earn them once. As much as get why they made that decision, i think it was awful and it not be in the game. Now Warezone however is honestly AWESOME and so much fun. Don’t get me wrong, there are tons and tons of issues in Warezone but in my opinion, i had more fun playing Warezone than Blackout back in Black ops 4. The last section of the fame is spec Ops. Now even though i don’t have much play time in spec ops, i must say that its fun for awhile and can help you pass the time, but its nothing like the traditional zombies me and a-lot of people are used to. All in All, out of all of the Call of Duty’s that came out in the past 5 or even 10 years, this has got to be the worst iteration of Call of Duty not just for me, but people like me who’ve been playing this series for a LONG time find this game boring with the maps, spawns, and honestly the way the Developers handle with these issues too.… Expand

    This game is a step in a good direction towards future Call of Duty. This is the best Call of Duty I have played since Black Ops 2.

    Graphics - This game is graphically really great. I'm a console player and get a lot of unloaded textures when spawning in.     Story - I enjoyed playing the story, but didn't really care for the plot itself and why I was doing what I was doing. The new characters were not very memorable. Not really much else to talk about for me.

    Co-Op - This mode is rather difficult unless you have an organized team. It had a good start with a new mission each season with each mission proving to be difficult. The two most recent missions they added as of writing this had the same mission which we had previously played but even harder. This turned me away from playing that mode as it just became too difficult. I have not played the survival modes that much, as I personally have not found any incentive to do so, therefore, I cannot speak for this mode. If you really want to know, I played it twice and found it repetitive. I got to round 30 in survival mode and got bored because I didn't find an increase in difficulty over time, so I just purposefully died.

    Warzone- A pleasant surprise addition to the game. I did not think Activision was capable of making a mode for free and I'm glad it is as it was greatly increase the longevity of the mode. Great addition to the game. I personally love the idea of dying and going to the gulag. The mode for me personally is difficult without teammates, but is still enjoyable. None of the locations to me are interesting though, making me unsure of a good place to land. Most of the buildings are repetitive, but expected with a map that size. I would like to have more map changes.

    Multiplayer - The multiplayer aspect of this game I think is the game's strong suit. Good gun-play with nice new door and lean mechanics. Not a fan of a lot of the maps. I only like around 4 of the 12 or however many maps. I like the progression of no prestige and the goal of getting Gold, Platinum and Damascus. I would have liked the progression to stop there, but no just more pain with Obsidian camo. I would like for more party game modes to be a permanent mode in the playlist. Although I like the door and lean mechanics, I feel like it rewards campers which slow down the gun-play. That being said, a lot of the guns are overpowered and viable to use (except most pistols imo). Call of Duty's store I think has been a success being cosmetic only as opposed to supply drops. The customization of your classes are really good and actually change how the gun plays out.

    Other - This game has been really buggy with constant server lag and players viewing enemies before the enemy has the other player on screen. My PC friends have experienced a lot of hacked lobbies which have hindered their ability to play the game. The UI in lobby can be a bit confusing (For example how to manage a party and kick players).

You don’t see people use as many different weapons then say the top 3. I found almost all the multiplayer maps are either too big or boring. Aside from the highway of dead fiasco, the crossplay feature wich brought hackers inmediatly, making russia the butcher of west asia (althoug barkov is actually a warlord that don't take orders from russia, and that by 2009 and 2019 his army is Made pretty much by highly trained russian mercenaries, Even some of the weapons that they use are western made like the famas, the scar, the aug, etc) wich in real life the actual butcher (or in this case butchers) of west asia is nato, Israel and saudí Arabia, and yeah You can pull off a afghanistan of your hip but still... usa does that **** currently in afghanistan and Even much worse things in there and the other countries they are occupying, and spec ops being very **** hard.     Not much of a multiplayer guy unless it’s with friends, but it’s the best CoD we’ve had in years. I loved the campaign, and the gunplay. It’s the most true-to-life fps we’ve had since Battlefield 3. It’s no Black Ops or the original Modern Warfare, though, but more than good enough to keep my CoD thirst quenched, and that’s something I can’t say for most of the recent ones.

    Besides the campaign which is ok, the multiplayer is fun and very enjoyable, especially considering how bad the games were between bo3 and this one were. Very refreshing and in my opinion, better than Black Ops Cold War.

    Who codded this game? The **** is real. Bullets damn near don't matter. The jumping is horrible, why does it show us putting the plates in?     Game is made for console as they get all the advantages from assist aim to stun flashbangs doing more harm to pc players like being stunned or flashed longer and the affects on pc players are much more stronger than when a console player is hit with them, i also think that console players do more damage with weapon's that pc players this game leans way to much to consoles making it an unfair game

They didn't give the enemy any personality or human like characteristics. (not to mention they changed the country who bombed the Highway of Death from NATO and not the Russians). Along with horrible map design and all of those noob and broken perks it makes multiplayer a horrible experience. There is also skill based matchmaking which is horrible and creates horrible laggy lobbies, there is also no map voting. Now to gunplay. The gunplay in modern warfare is one of the worst if not the worst in any Call of Duty. It is extremely inconsistent. For instance, I have multiple video clips of someone cross map one shot killing me with a shotgun yet I hit marker them with the same shotgun from 5 feet away. I also have a video clip of me hit markering some kids head at least 5 times and he did not die. Now to spec ops, spec ops is an absolute joke and it’s horrible. You can tell they didn’t even try on it. There is not much to say other than that it is a **** and is utterly bad. Now campaign. The campaign in my opinion had good ground, it had great potential, and in many of the cutscenes had excellent graphics. But the campaign ended up not being really good at all. They really messed it up. There is a total of two or three decent missions and all the rest are either meh or just bad. The campaign overall was short feeling for me, didn’t really make sense, and at times very basic, cringey, and cliche. Overall the best thing about the game is the graphics other than that, it is complete garbage.… Expand

Apparently it is because I have been shadowbanned?! Even though I am not a cheater/hacker. This game is a steaming pile of un-optimized sh**. Even when I was able to play it, it was a buggy mess. Unfortunatley only guns get to be "fixed" that "fast". usual game breaking bugs get fixed in more than 4 months or not at all. its what season 6? or so. still you cant cash in contraband contats if you reclaimed it after you got killed while carrying it. bugs on bugs on bugs every day, since launch. it could be a great fastpaced battleroyale, only if it was not by activison. the campaign is flat, bitter, and unintresting. pls cod dont try to be a mil. sim. you are not that realistic.

    This is the worst 8 months of my gaming life. This game crashes every 5 minutes and says "Server Disconnected" when i have good internet connection. I have good stat PC (gtx 1660 ti and ryzen 7 16 gb RAM) and this dog *** says to me (Server Disconnected). i bought this game fot full price and i want game, not crashes and lags every 5 minutes.

    Even after one year, for example, how come the Spec Ops mode wasn't fixed? One of the most epic and cool features of the previous games was turned into a nightmare. I've played CoD for years, finished most of the campaigns on their hardest difficulties and I could play the multiplayer decently as well... and my gosh! Even playing with friends who are good players and had microphones as well we couldn't have any fun playing the Spec Ops/Co-Op missions. It is so broken and hard that the only reason why people still play it is to get new skins or some kind of achievement for XP points and etc.

    As for the Multiplayer, which is the most catching part of the game for most gamers and has been in the hearts of so many FPS fans... how could it just be so annoying and frustrating? I won't be hypocritical here and say "wow the multiplayer sucks but I still play it every now and then" nor claim that the mode isn't good at all due to some mechanics changes and me not being able, somehow, to follow these changes. I can be frank and say that the customizations, gunsmith, sound and map designs, playthrough, and the removal of loot boxes are to be congratulated and can provide hours of fun alone or with friends. The crossplay is very welcome as well and all the objectives aside from winning the matches make the game way more fun. But all of these seem to not be important at all when every match you play feels frustrating and painful to so many previous CoD players. The franchise always had "issues" with campers, for example, it is a regular play-style and there is nothing really wrong about tactical camping nor trying out different weapons that require this way of playing, but the huge problem here is that CoD MW literally rewards people for camping! From the level designs to game mechanics a shooting game that used to be so exciting and frenetic full of gun-fights was reduced to a sniping/hide-and-seek game. The sound of footsteps is so loud that players avoid running around looking for enemies and, instead, sit still on corners and respawn areas with long-ranged weapons to shoot them. Also, most of the weapons/perks unlocked in beginning levels give an advantage to campers, not to tell that mounting weapons on walls and other surfaces increases a lot the precision of all guns, making it really hard to avoid and spot these players. The results of these are that "regular" players no longer enjoy the game as much as they used to, spending more time running through all the enormous maps and dying instead of being into gun-fights having fun. It is also demotivating that every new Season hasn't been able to fix properly the weapons' balance, forcing players to play with certain weapons such as M4A1, MP5, etc, instead of what they want... and bringing new and more overpowered sniper rifles such as Barret and SPR 208 when camping is already broken... Really?!?!

    And last but not least, the Campaign. The graphics and mechanics work really well, the voice acting sounded much better than many games, the playthrough is full of surprising moments where you are caught off guard, it shows violence as it is, in a way that can make you feel guilty and not always heroic. Also, many of the missions feel really immersive, the world-building through dialogs and gameplay is good, and the variety of missions and scenarios feels pleasant for an FPS game. Seeing Captain Price again felt quite nostalgic and the usage of real-life events to build the story was a great touch. But a big downside to the Campaign are the facts that not only the villains feel really generic and lack backstory/motivation, but also the game has regressed to that same lame plot: "Russians are bad guys, and since we don't wanna say it's Russia's fault let's say they are terrorists...from Russia!!!". Gosh, CoD developers really need to turn this page. So many executions for the only sake of shock-value and blaming Russia as a villain again?! Where are the villains like Raul Menendez, who is rememberable with great character development and makes the gamers want to kill the guy so badly through the game? Terrorist groups with a "good" motivation, posing as a "real" threat to the world and not just dumb folks who throw bombs at random places? Other countries working Together to deal with big threats and save the world Together, and not just the USA being the only heroes?

    Anyways... a good game in a way and promising for a MW2, but a lot could be changed to make it better.    … Expand

    O jogo tem uma boa história, bons gráficos, mas um multiplayer chato e fraquíssimo que desagradou grande parte do público.
    Fora que o modo operações especiais ninguém ao menos lembra que existe. Apesar de ter revolucionado a jogabilidade de call of duty, o multiplayer acabou sendo um tanto desagradável, partidas longas e demoradas, mapas horríveis e extremamente grandes.

    Historia muy buena empatizas con los personajes ademas si sos de la vieja escuela te va a gustar mas.

    Especial Ops al salir en su modo cooperativo supervivencia era muy aburrido y monotono ademas muy grande el mapa para 4 personas, las especial ops la pasabas bien con amigos pero muy buenas pero dejo de recibir actualizaciones y murio R.I.P F super infravalorado.

    Campaign was fantastic! Multiplayer is essentially what happens when you pander to people who want participation trophies. Nothing but endless corners, OP camping guns, and a ton of just nonsense

    The multiplayer is unbalanced and you can't be good unless you're either 1) a god who plays cod 24/7 or 2) a camper. The TTK is insanely low and players are often hard to spot quickly due to camo. This leads to a huge amount of camping and an overall, **** experience

    I just loved this game.
    It is honestly my new favorite call of duty.
    The campaign was awesome,multiplayer too and warzone was a great addition!
    I’m giving it a 9 because spec ops is a waste of a mode,it clearly was never given the same love as MP or Warzone.
    Next time just put zombies in the game

    Literally the **** worst game. It can suck a big, black dong. I spent 60$ on it and it just doesn't work. I have no clue why. It won't let me make an account or even play the campaign. It's better toilet paper than a game.

    This is the best call of duty i ever played, the only problem is that the lack of an anticheat system breaks the game, you can not play with crossplay activated if you are on ps because after a few games the game breaks your mind health..

    As you would believe this is just another COD game that has little to no changes from the others. The campaign was pretty decent but extremely short. The game is just to similar to the other games to justify buying it. If you want a different COD experience then play Warzone its free and much better than this.

    It has a good campaign but thats it making a good americans bad russians.
    The multiplayer and operations sucks having SBMM the multiplayer becomes repetitive,boring and stressfull the only reason I put a 4 is because the campaign that is "good"

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
