    En este apartado voy a hablar SOLAMENTE DEL MODO MULTIJUGADOR, ya que la campaña es excelente y el modo coop es un tema aparte. Voy a ser sincero, la jugabilidad esta más que perfecta, el juego va muy fluido y la verdad que ahora el juego posee un nuevo motor grafico y de muy buena calidad.     Pero hay algo que realmente me enoja y es que no se para que m*erda lo tocan, estoy hablando de los mapas. Señores no les miento cuando digo que este cod es el cod con PEORES MAPAS DE LA SAGA, ahora no esta más la distribución de 3 caminos que había anteriormente, y yo pensé que iba a ser un gran acierto por parte de Infiniti Ward... Un grave error.

    Todos los mapas tienen 40 ventanas para que la gente se te quede esperando y te maten una y otra vez sin saber donde estas, los enemigos son poco visibles y la gran mayoría se aprovecha de todas las aperturas de los mapas para campear toda la partida entera.

    Siendo sincero este es un muy buen juego, pero estos problemas van a terminar dejándolo pero que Black Ops 4, y eso es caer bajo.

    PD: Y me olvide decir que el p*to sonido esta ROTO.

Issues with the naming aside, revisiting the title responsible for turning Call of Duty into one of the biggest juggernauts in gaming via this reboot has proved to be the redemption theyAfter trying and failing to innovate the series with their last two entries, Infinity Ward was falling short of the work done by Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games in the franchise they originally created. Issues with the naming aside, revisiting the title responsible for turning Call of Duty into one of the biggest juggernauts in gaming via this reboot has proved to be the redemption they needed. The Call of Duty experience has in no way been redefined, but by going back to basics like this and readopting the structure of their earlier works, Infinity Ward has delivered their best, most varied, and fun game since 2011's Modern Warfare 3.

    While the campaign may test your patience when it comes to Russophobia and historical revisionism, it's hard to fault the actual gameplay. Much like Call of Duty 4, the single-player offering is a diverse series of memorable and exciting encounters. The exploration of the more horrific elements of war and combat are interesting, if also controversial. Placing civilians and children infront of your gun is an odd move for a series known for deriving fun from it's bombastic action and non-stop shooting, but it did garner an emotional reaction from me when I was forced to pick shots carefully in a crowded city to avoid killing innocents or something along those lines, even if that response was just disgust at the brutality of the moment.

    The multiplayer is a blast. It's largely still the same experience we've been playing for years now in terms of the modes and core gameplay, but the new engine makes it all feel fresh again. The controls are the same, but shooting is better than ever as weapons carry a sense of real weight are more devastating than ever. The presentation is also phenomenal. The photorealistic graphics and outstanding sound design (I'll likely never tire of hearing bullet casings hit the ground) make each match just cinematic as any of the campaign levels. The amount of freedom you're given to customize your guns and overall loadouts offer the depth of an RPG and the returning War mode from WWII offers the scale and massive battles of a Battlefield game.

    The reinvigorated Spec Ops is a nice change of pace from the now repetitive Zombies offering we typically get. Although I personally would have preffered the return of Ghosts' underrated "Extinction" mode, it's hard to not appreciate the amount of genuine cooperation and tactics these missions require even if the difficulty of them can be downright grueling. I would love to see a patch that makes enemies less aggressive as often times failure isn't the result of poor planning or teamwork, but rather every AI on the map bum-rushing your location at once.

    With their last two outings coming up short of past glories and causing them to lag behind their peers in the series, Infinity Ward wisely decided to take a look back at what worked for them when they created what is still widely considered to the best Call of Duty. While not without its controversial elements in the monetization and story, this reboot is definitely a welcome return to form. Modern Warfare is once again the king of the FPS scene and it's all due to it capturing a style similar to the one that wowed everyone back in 2007.    … Expand

    As far as the story mode itself, it's actually really good but i wouldn't doubt the CIA slides some money to IW/Activision to portray Russians and other people the way they did.

    Now the multiplayer is straight trash, but i will recognize that they designed to be this way, it's still trash though.     Warzone was good for the first two weeks then everyone started camping on rooftops and buy stations, setting up traps, snipers literally everywhere. It's a shame because the game had so much potential to be the best CoD. Also $24 for a skin bundle is highway robbery but lots of people buy them so i guess yall got it made.

    Honestly i do play the game frequently because i just want some simple, arcade shooter fun but I can't take this game seriously at all. I basically just troll with shotguns and explosives    … Expand

    - Can barely see enemies, especially certain maps
    - Getting killed by the shotgun.

I've had single player progress/achievements wiped clean, can't complete time-limited challenges/missions due to design flaws (such as common weapons not spawning during the second half of the Rebirth Island event), and so many other annoyances. I also hate how the in-game store has a FOMO aspect to it, just let me buy what I want!Bugs introduced with every patch ruin the game for me.     This game would be 10/10 but sadly the deep state or otherwise known as the Pentagon had to ruin the story with anti-russian propaganda so it falls short of being a classic.
    Some of the greatest missions "Piccadilly" and "Clean House" are also way to short, I would have loved to see more of that but sadly most of the game takes place in a generic made up Islamic country.

    The story is by far very great. Not excellent, but very great that ultimately got me hyped for the next Modern Warfare re-imagined game. The audio and visuals are spectacular that will leave you in awe at the details Infinity Ward has    Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 is a re-imaging of Modern Warfare 2007 with a realistic approach to it's story and to how multiplayer is played.

    The story is by far very great. Not excellent, but very great that ultimately got me hyped for the next Modern Warfare re-imagined game. The audio and visuals are spectacular that will leave you in awe at the details Infinity Ward has presented here. And to put icing on the cake Cross-play is a thing within this game

    But let's shift the focus of this review to the issues because there are plenty

    1) "imbalance" of cross-play.
    If you have NOT played a FPS game on the PC do NOT activate cross-play you are dealing with players who are operating with controls that have accurate precession that will get you really upset and frustrated. What would've been better is an option to have players go up against Xbox players OR PC players but not console vs PC. In other words, you wonder WHY you died against a PC player? That's why. It isn't about who shot first, it's more about the controls.

    2) Multiplayer maps are....meh.
    The maps are all the same with a bunch of stuff added in to add the 'tension' when it comes to playing multiplayer. There needs to be more unique maps added to make the matches feel more engaging because more than not you will stumble upon a bunch of camper lobbies that will ruin the fun and make you leave a match

    3) Some guns are OP and some guns are not.
    There needs to be a serious buff and nerf to a lot of the guns because they do stupid damage in some cases and in other cases with other guns those particulars don't do enough damage.

    4) Exclusive platform content.
    Everyone should be playing the same amount of content on the same day. Yes, games can't do this. But here there is no excuse; Spec Ops should be available to all platforms and not just one. Bad move Sony and Activision

    5) "Objective" playing is more harder than ever
    I guess this is a combination of 1,2 & 3. But the real gripe here is how badly some of these matches can go because of how each map in scope feels and plays the same. While you are up against players who have OP guns and quicker reflexes if you are playing on PC. There is no "git gud" here, especially when the maps feel the same in scope, the guns feel and play on entirely two different spectrum, and the cross-play differences make it way harder than it needs to play to play objective based modes. Infinity Ward MUST put some sort of leash on campers especially on Ground War because it is extremely annoying when you are dealing with campers, cross-play differences, and guns that are on two entirely different spectrum's.

    A lot of people are eating this game down for the in your face American propaganda, and while that is true people forget that Russia is NOT our ally. They're quite the opposite in fact so while I may hate the propaganda I also see Russians as a viable villain. Putting politics aside though, this game is great. Fun multiplayer, fun gameplay, and sweet graphics. Pick it up and ignore the propaganda.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Before I give my review, I wanted to address the spam reviews over the Russian's portrayal in the campaign. There are "3 IMPORTANT FACTORS" they seemed to miss understand. First, they established the Russians your verse in the story are run by a rogue general and his regime (similar to COD 4) AND NOT A PART OF THE ACTUAL RUSSIAN MILITARY. The second and most important thing to note is this is A FICTIONAL STORY. Some of the countries and events aren't even real. If we can tolerate a Russian airport massacre in MW2, then I think we can suck it up for this. The final thing is a spoiler so skip to the next paragraph if you don't wanna read it. The ending confirms Modern Warfare is a prequel to COD 4 and Barkovs remaining forces are rounded up by Zakia's so its a part of continuity. Anyway, now I give my UNBIASED review.

    Let me start by saying, this is the best COD's been in YEARS. It's not perfect, but you have no idea how great it is to see them actually put some effort, try something new without disregarding what worked, and actually take risks. And believe me, I'm no COD shill; in fact, I haven't bought a COD game since BO2 and haven't liked one since. But I always hoped we could return to Modern Warfare's roots. I always wished the campaigns could be darker and taken more serious and the multiplayer could promote more smart and tactical playstyles like COD 4 did instead of all these run-in-gun, 360 no scope, Faze players, who in my personal opinion, really dumbed down COD. And for BETTER or WORSE, that is actually what I got.

    Starting with the campaign, it's fantastic. The reworks animations, graphics, and sound design really make this a great looking game: borderline real looking at times. And the missions, cutscenes, and transitions between are seamless and well handled. This isn't a half-baked campaign like Black Ops 3's were half of one mission is just you holding the right trigger while you wave a turret around at dumb enemies. The missions are very diverse and give you countless play styles from more empowering moments like calling drone strikes or piloted a chopper gunner to more intense, stressful (in a good way) or even borderline horrifying moments like trying to defuse a bomb vest, playing as a child who's trying to escape her village that's being attacked, or clear a apartment building with both hostile and civilians inside. And that's the best part of the campaign! It takes risks and doesn't hold back. While it might not convey the same emotion as MW2's "No Russian" mission, you can't tell me you didn't feel anything when a terrorist had a child at gunpoint and you had to refuse to let him in to protect everyone else at the embassy. It definitely gives you a lot of tough choices and the writing and characters really enforce it. Price is back and more fleshed out than ever, a lot of the new cast is great, the villains, while not AS iconic as Makarov, are still better than the usual generic villains, and the fan service to previous modern warfare games is just beautiful. My only two complaints with the campaign are the lack of intel collectibles and only around 6 hours on normal difficulty. But I'd rather have a short great campaign than a long boring one like BO3 or none like BO4.

    Now multiplayer. I hated how a lot of the recent COD maps in past games had lazy 3-lane maps with not many alternate routes that force you to just take one of 3 paths. It just promoted players to mindlessly run and gun, die and repeat the process until they get a quad feed instead of actually playing the game tactically. Yes, Call of Duty was never THE MOST tactical game, but back in COD 4, you actually tried in that game. And the maps expressed that with more complex map design with secret routines, crawl spaces, and overwatch positions. And now they brought that back... And people are complaining about the maps being too complex and too many campers just like they did in MW2. While I agree some maps like Piccadilly and Euphrates Bridge aren't great, I haven't had a frustrating time with most of them as people claim to be having. Just watch your corners, take it slow, and don't run out in the open like idiots. The gunplay feels like classic COD with some welcomed new mechanics like door breaching. The guns also feel great and this time has recoil and different sounds. There are plenty of modes to enjoy and the progression system is just addicting. While some map and weapon balancing would be nice, I'm in the minority that actually LOVES the multiplayer and actually learned the maps instead of whining about it 2 days after release.

    The last and more disappointing part is spec ops. It's not like the missions from MW1-3, but instead horde mode with objectives. And between ability glitches, non-stop enemies, and huge difficulty spikes, it's not very enjoyable. Not much else to say.

Multiplayer has disadvantages, but the desire of developers to expand the gaming experience deserves a positive response from players. I mean large-scale battles. It's great, but needs a lot of honing. Battlefield is still better at handling large-scale battles involving military vehicles.

    As for the story missions, they are quite typical for the series. But the pitch itself is lopsided and stinks of propaganda a mile away. I have enough of this nonsense on the local news and I want to see a quality story, sane motivation of the characters. Not " they're evil because they're evil."    … Expand

    American Nazi terrorists made a game about themselves. How many weddings do Americans bomb in Afghanistan in a year? How is TPM Orange in Vietnam? Forsfor is also much more useful than the gas that Russia destroyed, and the Americans simply violated the treaty and did not destroy it =)

    This game is great. COD is definitely heading in the correct direction and I've played every COD since the first one. It seems that there are a large number of Rusky's down voting due to their view of the politics in this game. Has nothing to do with the game.

    Absolutely enjoyable game, beautiful, realistic. Whole time feels like I'm in mission, I'm soldier ect. For me game is 10/10 but i give 8 because of Russians and politics. We all know Russians are innocent about this mess in Syrisa

Do you realize there are console USB mods out there that manipulate this giving console players no recoil and heavy heavy aim assist like almost and aim bot!? What are you thinking Activision!?     The MP maps are worthless, unbalanced once again and way too small for the amount of players in the game. it's literally a rage inducing crap show over and over with people camping their spawns and then the spawns never rotate.     Warzone is the only reason this game is living, they managed to make one mode correctly.

    Campaign: I loved the campaign, I think it's one of the best shooter campaigns I've played in forever. Each mission is distinct and very tense, and some of them have you doing pretty awful stuff to complete your goal. I like that the game doesn't exactly tell you what to feel, but lets you sort it out after each mission. A great example is when you're hunting terrorists in an apartment building in London. As you stalk through the dark unit, you can hear women pleading with their men, sometimes crying, and a baby cries when gunfire erupts around it. It's very tense and serious, and at the end I was glad to have completed the mission, but I didn't feel 'good' about it, if that makes sense. If anything I wish the campaign was longer, and I wish there were more rewards for doing different things to add replay value to it.
    Multiplayer: The core of multiplayer is great. If you loved Battlefield: Bad Company 2 or Battlefield 3, good news, it's back right here. Everything has been slowed down just a touch to make it more deliberate. Using strategy and some tactics will actually yield results, instead of just zipping around in a reflex twitch-fest. A lot of people complain about camping in their reviews, but what is camping other than using urban warfare tactics to hold a position, combined with some patience? Sure, I've run into a house only to be blown up by a claymore, or shot by someone hiding in a corner probably 500 times already. But I see it like a puzzle, to be tried again (and again, and again) until I finally get inside there and get some revenge. The big issue with multiplayer is that the special missions that net you unique weapon blueprints are BROKEN. They don't track accurately, and recently one wiped my progress and suddenly deactivated itself. 48 hours later, I've restarted the game and my console and the progress is still lost. Did they not playtest their own grindy missions to see if they worked? Who knows, but it feels like a giant waste of time. I've stopped even trying to accomplish the missions until word is out that they're working properly.
    Co-op: Sadly, you can't play the main campaign in co-op mode, even though the story would seem to support it, since you're often paired up with another character. Instead, you get a smattering of terrible co-op missions that feel hastily created and tacked-on to the game. They genuinely feel like user-created missions, with tons of stupid but overwhelming enemies, and no real strategy to employ. After the amazing story campaign, it's a huge let down to play these frustrating and lame missions. To top it off, they're also terribly buggy. I've ran into a game-breaking glitch (teammate stuck parachuting in sky forever, spawned without primary weapon, etc) almost every time I've played, which makes the mode generally unplayable. Hopefully as they continue to FINISH THE GAME THEY RELEASED they will tune up the co-op modes so they work properly.
    It's nothing new for a AAA game to be released underbaked with issues, but it's a shame about this Modern Warfare reboot because it seriously undermines a great core game.    … Expand

    Dark gritty and a lot of fun, This game was a lot of fun and I like many am happy a campaign is actually included in this game.

But where it falls short is the multiplayer maps, they just seem bad and in some modes it really easy gets to a point where one team controls 2/3 points and holds it without a chance turn the tide. I think it is because the maps are linear and you spawn on either one side or the other.
    Having spawns that are not binary is crucial to provide flexibility.

    Also grinding your guns are not all that fun, I'm sad to say that BF4 (2013) did it better. And the footsteps seems bugged, I felt like I could hear people from much further away then I should.    … Expand

    An amazing game. Story is great just like the other Infinity Ward titles in the past. a step up from Infinity Warfare that had an amazing campaign. Multiplayer is much better than previous 2 entries which were crap. Spec Ops is good fun. Graphics are beautiful. sound needs work in Multiplayer but can be easily fixed. Gun Customisation is great. best Call of Duty title since InfiniteAn amazing game. To my surprise , it still has the same issues that I was having from day one! It probably is worse now actually. Before, I could at least play for an hour. Now, I can’t even get to play for a few matches with my friends without getting disconnected. Also, the cheaters have gone from 0 to many! They are everywhere! Infinity Ward needs to do something about this. Nobody wants a cheater in their game. It is infuriating! The game is still buggy and a mess! My suggestion is try to wait for this game to be fixed or at least be on sale for 50% off before buying it. Don’t buy it for now as it will give you nothing but disappointment and headache.… Expand

    Pros: - Great selection of weapons to choose from, very few weapons actually suck in this game.
    - Weapon customisation is the best it’s ever been in the series. Certain attachments can completely overhaul a gun and change it into another gun (e.g. you can turn your AK-47 into an AKS-74u) - Ground War is a neat idea. It takes the 32 v 32 matches of the Battlefield series but takes its own unique spin on it, making great chaotic fun.

    Cons:
    - Character customisation isn’t as good as it was in previous Call of Duty titles and has a fan of character customisation in video games, I couldn’t help but be disappointed with the lack of character customisation.
    - The general map design is of a lower quality and makes matches less enjoyable as you spend so much time running around trying to find people only to get sprayed by them and this leads onto the next point
    - The TTK (Time to Kill) of the game just feels off. You get killed faster in a matter of literal milliseconds and that’s just not how a CoD should be, it kills any hope of extended firefights when your character dies faster than Usain Bolt doing the 100 metre sprint and this also leads onto the next point
    - The game feels like it is designed around the new player rather than the veteran CoD player. While this could be a good thing (attracting more and more players to the series), it fundamentally messes with the gameplay experience for the veteran player with a TTK too fast and the elimination of any tactical gameplay like in previous CoDs.    … Expand

Despite being short, overall I liked the campaign. Don't forget that Special Ops mode connects with campaign history. Unfortunately for Xbox One and PC users, they will have to wait a year for the Survival mode.

    But going straight to one of the most central aspects of this Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: the gameplay. The first impression I got was that the gameplay was to fetch some things from the Battlefield series from Eletronic Arts. This means that this game is slower and less racing than previous titles in the series, but the gameplay pleased me. And the rushers will have a bad time in Multiplayer, but later I'll explain why.

    Multiplayer and Spec Ops rankings (cooperative mode) are linked. If you are ranked 13th in Multiplayer and for the first time in Spec Ops, you are ranked 13th with the same weapons and perks. And we also have a different progression system than the other Call of Duty. When we reach level 55 (maximum level), we have a new progression option. Instead of moving to the next prestige, the players rank is cleared and we can reach the highest levels (from 1 to 100).

    About Multiplayer itself. Old modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Headquarters, and Search and Destroy are present in this Modern Warfare. We also have a mode called Ground War, which is a giant 64 player map, with vehicles and helicopters in the mix, where we have to dominate most points (Domination style) to lead our team to victory. Remember Battlefield? I think so.

    Another mode worth talking about is Gunfight. This mode takes place on very small maps, two-on-two matches and with players receiving the same Loadout to be balanced. I confess that Gunfight mode pleased me more than Ground War. Many more (free) Multiplayer modes and maps will be coming over the next few months. And don't forget that this is the first Call of Duty to support Cross-Play, meaning we can face players from other platforms. If you aren't interested in this, you can disable this option.

    Speaking of maps, Infinity Ward could have done better in this chapter. There are few maps and they are too big, especially in 6 vs 6 modes (we also have 10 vs 10 modes). But worse than that, it's the sound of footsteps that looks more like a horse race. Putting these two factors together, the game forces people to go camping (there were always campers at CoD, but not at this point) and you can see that a lot at Team Deathmatch. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare can turn out to be a very Multiplayer game if you fix some of these issues. In modes other than TDM, the game can be enjoyable. In terms of connections, although previous games in the series weren't famous on this page, I had no major complaints in this Modern Warfare. There are lots of weapons with lots of attachments, each with its pros and cons. But one or two weapons that needed to be nerfed.

    We have cooperative modes (1-4 players online or offline) like Classic Survival and Special Ops (where we can use specific weapons, killstreaks and other things) where we have to face hordes of enemies of all shapes and sizes. These are challenging modes where we can't let our guard down for a second. The songs are acceptable and the same goes for Graphics (60 FPS stable on Pro). Despite its problems in Multiplayer mode that need to be fixed, overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good game.    … Expand

    Map design is horrible, the majority are way to big and you can go long without hearing gunshots and finding anybody, weapon customization is very good I will give them that, gunfight, infected and gun game are probably the best game modes, the rest are extremely boring due to high amounts of campers, there are way to much broken weapons that players take advantage of, and high amounts of hackers in both multiplayer and warzone, many mechanics simply don't fit call of duty yet they added them anyway and overall the multiplayer is bad

    Co-op: 1/10
    This may seem harsh to many of you but once you play it you will see why I gave it this score, it is so disgustingly bad it was a pain to play it, for starters operations are extremely repetitive, secondly most perks are useless, scavenger is probably the only useful perk, thirdly it is extremely hard, enemies are so hard to kill yet they can lazer you in seconds and mounting your gun doesn't help at all, fourthly it is extremely bugged, fortunately you don't need to play it to get platinum trophy

    Warzone: 7/10
    Im not gonna lie, warzone is the best battle royale game, it is extremely fun with friends and very addictive, teamwork and communication is key and that is what makes warzone so good, solo warzone is pretty boring and warzone rumble is boring depending on the map, if you get a good map it is awesome, grinding is worth it and overall warzone is good

Sadly the whole page is overtaken by Russian bots, because just like China, Russia can't handle something offending them. They act as if the developers hate Russian people.     Game is broken. In the days you can get into a match it's filled with cheaters. Also the better you are the bigger your hit box and the less damage you do can take and the less damage you do. Plus it lowers your aim assist. Pathetic rubber banding on top of skill based matchmaking and ridiculous lag comp make this game less competitive than Mario kart

Put a season pass above all this. It is shameful for the industry that triple A games which already cost 60-70€ are using F2P forms of monetization, and such practices should be erradicated.

    If you are willing to ignore all the ingame transaction bs (which is difficult since they throw it at your face all the time), there is a game undeneath that is decent at most.    … Expand

    One of the best game in the series. Well known characters, likeable story and by far the best stealth missions COD has ever seen. Loved every moment of the campaign.
    On top of that they changed nearly everything related to movement, gun control etc. This is what players wanted and it turned out really really well.

    But its solid and entertaining. Great characters despite the storyline jumping around a lot.
    The graphics are absolutely sensational. Especially the night missions.. A marvel to look at. I can understand why this game chewed almost 200gb of my hd space.
    I don´t really multiplay so i will give it a 7 for the campaign alone..    … Expand

    1. Баланс. Он просто отвратителен, в эту игру невозможно играть в связи с таким ужасным балансом. Будучи игроком с 65 уровнем, я всегда попадаюсь в игру, где мне приходится играть против 120-155 уровней. Играть просто невозможно.
    2. Карты. Карты сделаны ужасно, они неудобные, непонятные, да и "нычек" для кемперов настолько много, что все карты буквально ими кишат, невозможно нормально играть, ибо повсюду кемперы.
    3. Оружие. К оружию в общем и целом нет претензий, но есть некоторые просто конченые обвесы/чертежи/оружия, из за которых всю игру может заруинить один урод. К примеру, есть некоторые особи, которые используют нож и на второй слот ставят полицейский щит, в итоге сзади его невозможно подстрелить, а с переди ты просто по нему не попадешь потому, что при подкате он развивает такую высокую скорость, что ты его и заметить вряд ли сможешь.    … Expand

    Uno de los mejores CoD de los últimos años, la campaña es necesaria en la saga, aunque no todo el mundo la juegue, es una opción que no puede faltar, y esta (aunque es más corta que lo que mucho desearíamos) esta bien y te mantiene atrapado hasta el final.
    El multi bien sin mas, el modo tiroteo lo mejor, y guerra terrestre lo más flojo.

    The graphics were astonishing, during the game there’s a part where you have to sneak in with your team into a building at night and the picture, sound, scenes and development made it look so realistic, that was pure art.

    The multiplayer is incredible, it gets you hook up since day one... well after all is a COD game.

    I hate the cues tho, they are so distracting, you never know if it’s your teammate that is shouting or an enemy.

    The mechanics are great, when you carry a gun it feels like you’re really carrying that gun, the feeling and control is amazing, they have put too much effort into that that I wish more video games would do the same.

You may be asking “If this game seems so good why are you giving it a 6 out of 10? With the things you told us it seems fun.” The multiplayer is a nightmare solely for its garbage map design. I don’t think I’ve ever played a game so camper-friendly in my life. Playing aggressively has never been punished harder until this game. I know you are saying I should just adapt but I have tried and it just is not fun. There are 15 different windows on each map that you can’t even check before you get your head blown off. After the absolute dumpster fire that was Black Ops 4, the Call of Duty franchise returns to one of its most successful storylines - Modern Warfare. The campaign is masterfully designed - the action often looks like real life, and the gameplay is engaging. However, the decision by the writers and creative team leads to some troubling moments. On one hand, having players experience the horrors of war, chemical warfare and waterboarding/torture may help to demonstrate how truly awful and evil war can be, and how the line between good and evil isn’t always black and white. Still - it doesn’t sit well with me that the game ultimately uses these sotuations as part of an entertainment system - especially when you can use chemical warfare as a “killstreak mode” in multiplayer. As well, some elements seem to exist solely for shock value - having a baby in a house you raid, having you play as kids who murder soldiers, (albeit in self defence), and a suicide bombing in a real life location - don’t serve much aside from shocking the audience and building press for the game. Which is shameful, because I think there could have been some important ways to show the dangers and throes of war - like the developers tried, (and in my opinion, failed), to do with the waterboarding level. Overall, it’s an excellent campaign and multiplayer experience, (the lack of Microtransactions is beautiful), that harken back to the best of the Call of Duty games. If you’re a fan, it’s worth picking up. However, it’s murky morals, touchy ethics and half-in, half-out approach to storytelling and warcrimes leave much to be desired. And the fact they changed the villians of one main campaign from Americans to Russians based on a real life incident - is ridiculous and offensive. Russia has a plethora of murky and awful history - why’d they pick an event that didn’t happen, (or at the very least wasn’t perpetrated by them), to serve as the main driver for the heroes of the game? 10/10 gameplay, 5/10 storytelling… Expand

    Too many campers. I would be complaining about it normally, but it’s get worse as the life of the game goes on. Every match somebody’s sitting. Some of the maps need to have certain areas closed off because it becomes a camper fest. Other than that complaint about multiplayer, I will say the campaign is fun.

    Absolute garbage. There's a bug where when you're escaping the ship from flooding in on you you randomly keep falling to the side and "failing" the mission. Close and deleted. Modern Warfare 2 was amazing so I was sad to see this installment was literally unplayable.

Basic war story and basic characters except captain prize, there are two missions in the game that I really liked and the rest is just basic and repetitive, you got big arena , kill people and run to your objective, except two missions and those two are the ones that I really liked(finished it in a day). repetitive multiplayer I played it for an hour andThis game is filled with emptiness. It's a piece of fiction and not something to base your opinions of Russia on and I think most people realise this. The review bombing is not a surprise.     I have no idea why the Russians are angry and giving this game bad reviews, the game is not trying to defame and part of the world.
    Even so, the game is not perfect and needs to work on the multiplayer elements and the length of the story campaign.

    The Multiplayer. Now this where Call of Duty shines but this time around there are a plague of issues from keeping the game well balanced. It is nice to see however that they have completely overhauled the standard multiplayer modes and it feels new and exciting. The time to kill is shockingly low and you will often be taken out before you can get a couple of rounds down range to retaliate. You are not rewarded enough for actively playing the objective and because of this a lot of people decide to sit and wait. The whole MP section needs a deliberate shake up.    … Expand

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
