    Haven't played a CoD game since Black Op 2, but I was impressed with the mature take on civil wars and our current state of affairs in our world. I wrote a review to address the blatant discrimination a lot of reviewers are pressing on here because of how sides of war are presented.

    1. The game is a mature take on terrorism and warfare, something that a lot of gamers just aren't going    Haven't played a CoD game since Black Op 2, but I was impressed with the mature take on civil wars and our current state of affairs in our world. I wrote a review to address the blatant discrimination a lot of reviewers are pressing on here because of how sides of war are presented.

    1. The game is a mature take on terrorism and warfare, something that a lot of gamers just aren't going to grasp in the single player campaign. The beginning showcases this with suicide bombers in London and a chemical depot controlled by the Russian military.

    2. To call this game "propoganda" while the Russian military invaded the Crimean peninsula and the U.S. controlled by a Hitler-esque leader is both concerning and funny. Funny because it shows the aptitude of those bombing this game, concerning because it means they aren't that well educated.

    3. As a game, Call of Duty overhauled its graphics engine and the game runs very well. The only mechanic I dislike is the sliding, but that is a small gripe as the weapons feel realistic and the maps are diverse in setting.

    4. The vast arsenal of firearms along with more realistic mechanics (weapon spray, recoil, bullet drop) are welcomed additions and I've enjoyed utilizing these warfare tools in the game.

    All in all, I think that Call of Duty has triggered the neo-nazi's, russian terrorists and psychopaths of our society through the story-telling. If you can't handle politics, then how do you plan on living in the world? Politics is literally in everything, but then again, some people's brand of politics are trash-posting, narcissim and god-complexes.

    9/10, a welcomed change of pace for CoD that has me satisfied with their product for the first time in a very, very long time.    … Expand

    Good game in general comparing to the other games from the saga.

    Campaign: Best campaign made so far. Amazing history + Amazing graphics = Amazing campaign. Multiplayer: Good gameplay with a lot of accesories and camouflages for the guns but here's the worst part, THE MAPS. They are horrible.     People rating this game 0 bc of server issues when every CoD had the same launch issue is idiot, in terms of reviewing, the campaign was a 9/10, the gameplay is 10/10, sound is 11/10 and no bugs detected

    COD returning to its roots, not afraid to innovate with new graphics engine, other FPS cry with the fluidity of its gameplay, the story has a great moral and ethical weight, not knowing right or wrong just needed to deal with the situation finally note 10

    The Multiplayer feals great too
    And Spec Ops is a good addicition on The Game.

    Taking that into consideration, this game BLOWS ME AWAY. Yes, they bring back the nostalgia, yes, you feel it, YES, YOU WILL LOVE IT, yes, it is the same, yes, it is different. This game is the conglomeration of old and new and Activision blew it out of the water. You feel the fun, the rush, the enjoyment and intensity of early COD:4 / MW2 with MW. It's the same old game that is completely re-vamped and new. And it WORKS.

    The gun animations, the new gun system, the perks, EVERYTHING IS DONE ACCURATELY AND PRECISELY. The leveling system is NEW and memorable. The sound effects are INSANE. MOTHER OF GOD, IT'S LIKE I'M ON THE BATTLEFIELD. Bullets cut the air as they wiz past your ear. Your teammates scream at different volumes based on their distance away. Gun effects are amplified in tunnels, rooms and are less apparent outside. It feels REAL. It feels nostalgic.

    This game captures the essence of Call of Duty without being completely being nostalgic.    … Expand

    Call of duty is back. Never expected this solid of a release. Multiplayer is fun and barebones while the campaign may actually be the best fps campaign I've played. Beatiful graphics, beatiful and technical weapons. Just pure fun. My mouth dropped at the cutscenes and some gameplay scenes as well.

    Show this game to 12 yr old me playing MW2 and my brain would be **** melted. Some glitches and bugs but i trust those will get ironed out soon. Campaign had jaw on the floor moments and really captured the essence of what “modern warfare” means. This is exactly what Call of Duty in 2019 should look and feel like.

    This game is definitely worth playing. Didn't see such a deep and contradictory plot in years, especially in the FPS game. Don't look at angry pseudo-patriotic russian which are approximately 15 y.o i think. If they aren't then I can't understand their screamings about propaganda. The plot is not about "angry" russian or "good" americans it is about WAR, about its stakes and methods andThis game is definitely worth playing.     The best call of duty game I’ve played since modern warfare 3, amazing campaign, multiplayer and spec ops, and with a battle royale rumoured to come there is a ton of a content to play unlike the call of dutys of recent years the last of which didn’t even have a campaign. Oh and don’t listen to the angry Russians here, they don’t seem to understand it’s a FICTIONAL game.     Sooo, Yep they finally had the balls to make a COD that shows us the horrors of modern conflicts. By the way most people are complaining about that this game is "xenophobic" but the true is that it doesn't matter the flag of each army, they made terrible things in those conflicts (some of them came from the U.S, Russia or the rebels) but these things happen. Unfortunately they didn't showSooo, Yep they finally had the balls to make a COD that shows us the horrors of modern conflicts.     It's such a good Game, not only because his multiplayer but for the single player. I havent enjoyed playing a CoD for a long time, but now I am doing It. I feel like I am looking forward to playing It again while I am working.
    Of corse, it is not a 10, but I give it to it to fight against people that give it a 0, regardless of havent played it.

    Glad Infinity Ward are trying new things! The game is no masterpiece but if they support it like they have promised and keep to their word about microtransactions it'll end up being great! 9/10 games released nowadays end up changing throughout its lifetime.....only issue is having a new game release yearly only gives it a short window to maximise its potential.     This game is great, best cod in a long time. Guns feel great and the animations are SO SATISFYING. I never thought i'd say that cod could be immersive but IW really nailed it on this game. The propaganda could've been toned down a bit. But i get it, it's supposed to be like the old MW series where the russians are the bad guys but at the same time they're not.

    I’m having a great time with this especially having come off Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The slower more tactical style suits me compared to other COD titles. Runs well and no serious bugs so far. Can’t believe I’m saying this but good work Activision.

    Best cod since black ops. The campaign is solid and doesn't feel like a throw away. The multiplayer is pretty good and takes some pointers from battlefield in a good way. Don't listen to the negativity as this is whiny triggered crybaby era after all and people get triggered with everything these days. The only negative is its online only which sucks

    Yeah I am enjoying cod again after several years of terrible editions this one get a lot right. On a side note metacritic should probably remove some of these angry Russian reviews I am sorry you are all so upset about a fictional story in a single prayer campaign but get over it. Everyone takes thing way too personally now days it is just a game.

    Amazing graphics! Every single detail is well-thought for the environment. You don’t see any machine like human, they all look and act like normal people. The story may come as a bit of a cliche but hey it’s the same thing what we see on the news.

    This game gives me the feelings of 2007 (CoD4). A thrilling campaign for a shooter, Good entertaining and Cpt. Price! The multiplayer shines with new mechanics an game modes. Often people complain about minor innovations, but also often about innovations. Developers today find it hard to please everyone, but Infinity Ward did a good job. The best CoD for a long time!

It went for a "foreign invaders create chaos and terrorists" angle but made the russians that invader instead of america which was aReally love the new engine. That didn't bother me that much it was just disappointing that they were afraid to put the us in that role.     10/10 points for game and gameplay. Also i proud of you guys that you finally showed the real face of russian army, who is killing civilian in Ukraine, Syria and Georgia. World gamers can see russian army real face in this game.

Игра про вымышленные события, вы даже не можете этого понять, и это очень грустно. Разработчикам пришлось на многое пойти, чтоб сделать такой продукт, и многое вырезать именно через вас. Для вас Иру смягчили куда только можно, но вам не нравится, если не нравится, можете не играть и не покупать.
    Хочу выразить благодарность. Разработчикам игра вышла шедевром, но через вырезания и выпиливания через РФ много потерял сюжет и компания. Очень порадовал конец с именами "Gaz", "Soup" и "Ghost". Надеюсь что в следующей части раскроите подробней Ghost "Призрака" и покажите его сюжетную линию. Капитан прайс вышел хорош. Но одно с чем я согласен с русскими, надо было и Британцев с Американцами показывать более жестокими. Миссия с поимкой "мясника" и допрос хоть и пытался быть жестким, но не стал. Сделайте Капитана прайса и других героев не такими добряками и хорошими парнями и игра заиграет реализмом. Моя оценка 10/10. С выхода третей части ждал продолжения, спасибо.    … Expand

    I feel Call of Duty returning back to it's 2003-2007 glory days with this game in a lot of ways. A solid campaign and great multiplayer. Gone are the three lane map design the previous games have relied on so much, and we now have some normal urban environments again with multiple windows and doors as a normal building would have. This is definitely sending COD in the right direction once again.

    One of the better games i have played for a while..
    Single Player : Really Good..
    Multi Player : Maps need to be redone without the noob friendly stuff..
    Spec Ops (Edited) : Thankfully they fixed this over the last few months..

    O melhor COD feito. Jogabilidade excelente, cores gráficas realistas, todos os modos bem feitos. Modo 2x2 extremamente balanceado, modo história imersivo. Melhor jogo jogo de fps atualmente.

    The gameplay is solid as always, the campaign is gripping with twists and turns where the line between good and bad are harder to identify by the end and the multiplayer could do with more maps but solid

The game's story is a slowest and quietest in the series, but, while the modern warfare trilogy was a corny but lovable action film, this new modern warfare is like a thriller novel and the gameplay really shows that: mounting cover, slower ADS, missions with different gameplay structures: (Disguises,interrogation clearing houses). Many may say that it is pure propaganda but I thought the call of duty series was always propaganda and romanticized view on war, why is it a problem now when we never had a problem with it on the first place?… Expand

    In their effort to cater to newer players, infinity ward has effectively ruined what could’ve been a great game. Gameplay has no notion of skill as TTK is far too fast. Terrible weapon balance, visibility and SSBM hit the nail in this games coffin. This game sucks!

    Graphics is sexy, as to pertain to the new generation of graphics engine used by infinity ward. Gameplay is cool. Multilayer is fun. I really love it. And as for campaign, it seems that the devs took inspiration from multiple films...... Really epic stuff

    After playing the BETA i had really high hopes for this release. This is one of the best COD's to date.
    The new engine really shows and the combat is more realistic like games such as battlefield. This game has so much content with the weapon customisation being the best we have ever seen. Cant wait to get back home and play as much as possible

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
