    I made a **** metacritic account, just because i hate this **** game so much.
    When last 2 CoD games came out i told myself DO NOT BUY THAT **** EVER AGAIN.. Well i did buy it again (also bc there is no good alternative, since bf decided to go for the **** past again) and i hate it. Also i hate myself for buying it again. It is the same **** game every year... Do not expect anything new/different. After 20 mins of playing i tried to get my money back, but it seems like that is not an option for digital copies. I think you should be able to geturn games before you reach like 2 hours of playtime. Also the game crashed and there are things popping up, because it does not load right. Battlefield is just the better game... i really hope there will be a new battlefield soon..    … Expand

    Playtime 22 days. Its my first cod. Love it. Graphics and updates are great. Warzone is much fun but i prefer multi-player.

    Exclusividad ps4 , bastante le costó a sony permitir el crosspaly en este cod , pero por esa razón hicieron la exclusividad de un año por un modo de juego

    The best call of duty to date. The guns have the best animations with smoke and casings flying out and now they have 2-64 players dosen't get better than this. Hopefully this is the new call of duty. I'll buy the next if it sticks to this formula.

    Game is pretty solid overall. Reviews are skewed because Russians were painted in bad light and I guess they didn't realize thats been the memo here in the U.S. the past 40 something years lol. I would agree that it made U.S and its allies some sort of "holy" ethical people. Which as an American and a veteran, we have not been the best either. So I understand the frustration of the RussianGame is pretty solid overall.     Even in russian localization "russian soldiers" called "Barkov's soldiers", russian propaganda does the same every time in fakenews.

    Отличная игра, кремлеботы пытаются обрушить рейтинг игры. В этой игре хороший сюжет, да один полковник поехал головой и все. А вообще там отличная стрельба, отличная графика, в мультиплеер появилась техника как в батлфилд, все очень круто. Я бы ещё в режим большой войны добавил разрушаемость.!Отличная игра, кремлеботы пытаются обрушить рейтинг игры. В этой игре хороший сюжет, да один полковник поехал головой и все. А вообще там отличная стрельба, отличная графика, в мультиплеер появилась техника как в батлфилд, все очень круто. Я бы ещё в режим большой войны добавил разрушаемость.!

Especially when the special ops even the survival mode feels unfinished and underdeveloped that could easily upset those that love to play coop with friends or strangers online. This is a technically well crafted reboot, but it desperately needs more room for improvement. But hey, it's better than the fantasy Black Ops 4 right?… Expand

    Thats what I call an Triple-A Game. Graphics and Presentation are absolute fantastic. The Campaign and Multiplayer are the best for many years now. It could be a relaunch for the whole Franchise. Thank you Activision!!!

    The evolution of the call of duty is this game. A history let you without breaht, and a perfect multiplayer. Also the coop its a funny way to expend your time. In my opinion game of the year. The best call of duty.

    Game mechanics are better than ever!
    Multiplayer: Great experience, deep weapon customisation.
    Campaign: Too short, and new captain price is does not have the same nobility and empathy. It is alright, but a bit empty for that price tag.
    I bought it, but I feel the campaign should be more complete.

The movement, awareness and randomness is pretty much a cornerstone of the game. That’s why COD veterans can have problems with it — it’s hard to completely predict the outcome.     No entiendo porque hay tantas críticas negativas, la campaña es muy realista, no es corta con unos gráficos que muchos juegos envidiarían, la historia conecta con cada personaje que juegas.     This game is just soo much fun, i haven't had fun in years in a cod game, neither in Battlefield, it really feels good when you play it, feels satisfying.

    The bad is having really high ping in some matches, but the game is really good.

    They keep adding maps and weapons each season, i really love some items on season 4 so i had to buy it, im having a blast with friends in crossplay.

    An awsome CoD refresh, feels like a completely diffrent game from recent ones like BO4, i think for me it realy feels like the original modern warfare.

    Been playing since release and still going strong!

    Singleplayer: Short, Fun, Very Realistic at times. The feminism in the narrative can get a bit more than grating at times, but never enough to ruin the experience outright. Multiplayer: Your typical bread and butter, many modes are played actively (especially TDM) nothing hugely game-changing, but    The game is a step in the right direction, even if it suffers from some flaws.

    Multiplayer: Your typical bread and butter, many modes are played actively (especially TDM) nothing hugely game-changing, but satisfying and fun none-the-less.

    Warzone: Unfortunately the childish "Battle Royale" trend has infected the MW experience with "Warzone" which has all but eclipsed everything else the game has to offer.
    I've no interest in BR games anymore, and i wish activision would appreciate their base customers instead of jumping on the BR cash-wagon. But whatever, can't expect much from them.

    Multiplayer = Best COD ever and could be even better but they stop adding content for you to feel the want for a new COD game... but still, COD CW was a joke compared to this and COD Vanguard it´s a broken garbage compared to any FPS game... #BestCODyet

    Este juego fue el primer COD que le dedique tiempo en el modo on-line, y con mucha razon, es muy frenético, las rachas de bajas son bastante buenas (a excepcion del Radar personal, a.k.a: UAV egoísta), aunque los mapas no sean la gran maravilla, muy pocos son realmente buenos

The other missions to do for the mode are relatively unoriginal and uninspiring. Overall, I think the game is fantastic and can be quite rewarding if you’re willing to put in time and effort. Russians are just normal people and it's not fair they are portrayed this way, but everything does this(even old CODs) and this masterpiece shouldn't receive all the blame. The flow of the gameplay is a little different compared to other titles in the franchise, but it still has the core idea of what combat should look in older cod, cheking everywhere, risking your life for power positions, fast kill time, and of course lots of guns to choose from. The map design is mostly amazing, it's complex, has small and big maps, they all have power positions, and like every other title in the franchise, camping is inevitable, some people just don't like to give the game the dynamic fast pace gameplay that it offers, the only real problem with map design is the spawn system, sometimes it spawns you in the middle of a gunfight, sometimes mikes apart from where an enemy is, this has been getting fixed slowly, but it still has to get much better. Next up is movement, this game implements a new type of running called tactical run, the tactical run makes you run a lot faster at the cost of slower sprint to fire speed when you stop running, this new feature fits perfectly within the game, because it has so many open spaces that you don't want to get stuck in, the slide makes a return, which as much as I love the dolphin dive, it's way more useful, the ADS speed changes depending on the attachments you put on your weapon, and the speed while changing weapons varies depending on the weapon you're holding, or the one you're going to change to, in my opinion the speed to throw a lethal grenade, is too slow, and that needs to be fixed. The customization, customization in cod, has never seen something like this, even tho there's no making your own emblem, nor is there a complex character customization like in ghosts or AW, the weapon customization is next level, you can place up to 5 attachments in a weapon, these attachments can vary the way your weapon works for different scenarios, for example if you have an AR you can customize it to be more like an SMG in close quarter maps, the attachments can change the: range, stability, recoil control, sprint to fire speed, ADS speed, movement speed, etc. They can also change the look on your gun, and sometimes when you switch to another type of barrel your iron sights may change, speaking about looks, there is a lot, and I mean a lot of camos to unlock, and the mastery camos are some of my fav camos in any cod. All of this is just multiplayer tho, the campaign is another subject as a whole, the campaign in this game is a masterpiece, it's not the best campaign in cod history, for me that price goes to black ops 1, but this campaign goes into my top 3 for sure, it's fun, it's strategic, is well written and the developer team really investigated on how night and secret ops work. Spec ops was honestly fun, but not great, I think this is one of the reasons that Modern Warfare isn't perfect, the missions are way too hard, the prizes sometimes don't show up, if you lose and then one of your teammates decides he doesn't want to continue from checkpoint, none of the other players can continue, sometimes the missions bug, etc. I feel like IW wasn't really concerned in co-op and that was a big mistake. Overall this game is very good, but it's not perfect, I love it and I think it was good enough to bring the franchise back to life, but if you're wondering whether to buy it or not, please have in mind that maybe you won't be good instantly at the game, it's hard to get used to the flow, how to customize your guns correctly, etc. But this game is actually a lot of fun. There is also a lot to grind on, the Damascus camo is amazing, and now there is the new obsidian camo, so there is a lot of playing time! My accurate rate would be a 4.5 because there is some things that are yet to make this game perfect, but I know they will be fixed, truly is great game. Hope this is useful for you.… Expand

    I have not played a COD game since Black Ops 2, so this actually felt pretty fresh to me. The campaign had a really nice production and I really admired all the performances, though some missions were definitely way more fun than others. The tone is definitely aiming for this moral grey area which I think succeeds at times, but also occasionally muddles the story and makes things harder to follow. The gunplay was pretty fun overall though, albeit way too loud and not enough music. But I understand that it was to back the more realistic approach they were going for.

    The multiplayer is really fun, maybe because I haven't played COD multiplayer in a really long time. The biggest standout is being able to mount your gun, which was really suitable for my playstyle. Weapon customization was also amazing. My only problem is a BIG problem. I don't like most of the maps. At least in the baseline game. They definitely improved overtime with the newer maps and even bringing back old ones, but some of these maps had really jumbled layouts and just encouraged camping. I feel like for a lot of them, the combat is always congested in one spot for the entire game instead of spreading out. It usually results in me having an amazing game or a really bad one, with no middle ground.

    I overall had a lot of fun with this game and it restored a lot of interest in this franchise for me. I'm definitely taking each next entry with a grain of salt, but I'll definitely be picking up Cold War because the first Black Ops is still my favorite entry.    … Expand

I like how it has been made relevant to modern times and issues which could have just basically been a 4th game to the series with Price leading some new recruits or something but overall it's alright. I'm not racist nor do I care about the color of people but I don't see a point in making Gaz black. He was white in the first game and I think it's completely unnecessary to do that. Might as well make Ssgt. Griggs white right? Of course not. Anyways for the mulitplayer, I feel like there's no more good Call of Duty maps. The first 3 MW's maps as well as World at War and Black Ops 1 had these unique maps but now it's just regurgitations. I feel that the neglected child in this game was definitely the Co-Op mode. There were no players due to the immense difficulty throughout the missions as well as a more boring, static gameplay. To be honest all we need is Survival mode and maybe a co-op version of the campaign or even a side story that takes place throughout the main story line. For me Warzone was great and what sucks is the options for games. It's like every Call of Duty gets good when its 3/4ths it's cycle but by the time that happens, a new Call of Duty is announced and anything built up for it is gone. Take a look at EA's Battlefield series. Sure there's plenty of criticism and especially with how money hungry EA's upper echelon is, but there's definitely more to build on. What I like is that at least CoD isn't a pay to win kind of thing like Star Wars Battlefront 1 an 2. I don't mind microtransactions for cosmetics since they don't give an edge or anything. But Warzone is definitely my main go to now. I applaud them for making the Battle Royale feature a more stable yet fast paced game with a lot to do. My only complaint there is, is that there's only 1 map. I'd like for maybe 2 or 3 if that's not too much or at least a permanent night mode too so it feels like there's 2 maps. I'm gonna just assume that since my PS4 is sounding like a jet taking off everytime I start the game, it's because of the limits of the hardware. Hopefully in the next generation, we can have less loading times/quicker startups and more smooth games as we advance into the next generation of consoles.… Expand

    If you play campy,slow and bad you'll get your campers, if you rush, learn advanced movement (slide canceling, bhoping etc)and get good aim you'll get fast lobbies with the occasional campers, overall feel very nice, top 5 cod easily

    The amount of attention to details is beyond breathtaking. Special shout out to the gun viewmodels team Khoa Le, Mark Grisby, Hyper & Jun Chang for the amazing work that they've put in.     Multiplayer is decent and I like it. Graphics are nice, same with the gameplay. But I'm experiencing a lot of campers. Still it's pretty good.

    Spec Ops is just stupid, no one even plays it.

    The campaign is amazing but short, the gameplay for multiplayer is amazing. The sense of realism and detail really shines. Its 8/10 because infinity ward refuses to fix many bugs that plague this game although annoying, the game still holds its own 4 years later. Probably my favourite COD release ever.

    This game has captivated me for a good week in a half. There are multiple issues such as camping, lack of game modes and lack of maps but these problems can be easily rectified with a few patchs. Otherwise, the game experience with graphics and sounds of guns has been amazing and you feel motivated to play on. I am also a massive massive fan of skill-based mode

Good ol' arcade CoD, not without its share of infuriating issues, definitely far from perfect even for a game of which sole purpose is to allow you to shoot virtual folks in the face (spawns, weapon balance, you name it, CoD has a problem with it) but it's overall very playable and, if you like the classic CoD gameplay, you most likely won't be neither disappointed nor surprised.
    You know, unless you're like all the reviewers here and can no longer stand the "evil russia" trope to the point of screaming in anger instead of just saying "eh, whatever" and enjoying a game for what it is.    … Expand

    Crossplay works, and it works just brilliant! Finally, I'm able to play mouse/keyboard on ps4 with my fellas who play on the PC. The gameplay feels refreshed, I love it. The campaign is quite good as well, russians are slightly hyperbolized, but it fully represents their nature. It was always difficult for them to face the truth.

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
