    THE BEST CALL OF DUTY TO DATE.

    a masterpiece campaign, but a little bit too short. Still, it was a worthy ride all along!
    multiplayer and spec ops are amazing! Finally COD gets a crossplay feature!

    9/10 for me! Well done Infinity Ward. keep it up!

    Im 5 missions into the campaign, the first and second London missions are fantastic. As someone from the UK, and have been to London multiple times, I really felt immersed, and with spoiling as little as possible- Captain Price and the dude with the bomb, what the dude was saying, brilliant stuff.

    Town house mission was as good as I expected, intense, when youre trying to play it without    Im 5 missions into the campaign, the first and second London missions are fantastic. As someone from the UK, and have been to London multiple times, I really felt immersed, and with spoiling as little as possible- Captain Price and the dude with the bomb, what the dude was saying, brilliant stuff.

    Town house mission was as good as I expected, intense, when youre trying to play it without taking out innocents, again immersive.

    The lighting is better than it ever has been, both in cutscenes and in gameplay, definitely the best looking COD. The sound design too might be some of the best I have heard in a game period.    … Expand

    Crossplay works, and it works just brilliant! Finally, I'm able to play mouse/keyboard on ps4 with my fellas who play on the PC. The gameplay feels refreshed, I love it. The campaign is quite good as well, russians are slightly hyperbolized, but it fully represents their nature. It was always difficult for them to face the truth.

    Hands down the best COD experience since the original MW.

    Gripping campaign, superb multiplayer and now with the addition of Warzone, this game is gonna keep entertaining for years to come.

    This is the first Call Of Duty game i've bought since Black Ops 1 and I was not disappointed. Brings back memories of the original Modern Warfare games and thankfully got away from all that futuristic power crap.

    It's been over two months since it came out and I still play it almost every night with my friends.

    The best COD multiplayer since MW2, I thoughouly enjoy the final product, and want to support this game for it's lack of microtransactions and loot boxes. (Looking at you BO4). If you've been waiting for the bs to go away before buying back in, now's the time.

    Im playing this game with my jaw dropped & my hands sweating! What an amazing, exciting & intense game! Marvelous game. Thank you Activision for this greatness.Only downfall is it took almost 3hrs to install the game. ....ohhhh and please shut the heck up you sensitive cry babies about how real this game is!.. shut up pansies!

After playing this game for a while and seeing how they patched and improved the game with every update I can safely say that this is a great game with lots of fun. While the story of the sigle player campaign is quite generic, the overall experience is great especially if you play the game on PS4 pro or Xbox one X.     Modern Warfare (2019) is the best COD I’ve played since BO2 (2012). I would give this game a 10/10 for certain but with most of the maps right now feeling very disorganized & there still more to be added to the game it’s hard to give it a full 10/10 praise when the game is still technically being worked on!     finally!! this new take on call of duty made me come back to the series, its darker, with a slower pace, just amazing, you can review bomb all you want, it's not going to change what the game really is

    Very addicting and motivating weapon leveling/unlocking/customization system. Even the season pass has motivating rewards such as XP boosters. Should be supported. Spent already 15 hours only in team deathmatch.

    Campaign very brutal but very cinematic and gameplay well composed.

    Не 10 потому что короткая сюжетная кампания (у меня ушло чуть более 6 часов на прохождение), очень порадовали графика и физика стрельбы, видно хорошо проделанную работу, сюжет типичный для серии но подан красиво.

    Haven't bought any cods recently and i'm glad I got this one. Game feels amazing. Maps are imo really good except for the fact that there is too much windows. Multiplayer is really good and so is the campaign.

Most the time they get shot down by the other 32 players or running perks like ghost keeps you hidden. Gun customization is taken to the next level, you convert an ak47 to an ak4u submachine gun or turn it into a rpd lmg, it's quite expansive for cod. Just a solid game, happy to see there listening to the community & got rid of the season pass, paid dlc etc. It's all free even though they are including a battle pass which will only include cosmetics. Game launches with 22 maps total which is twice as much as usual on top of a campaign, special ops coop missions, survival mode & the new graphics engine is great, I usually don't say this about call of duty graphics but this one's impressive. Hopefully the developers keep pushing content out for this game & I could see it staying at the top of the charts for a long time, maybe even beating fortnite in terms of popularity… Expand

Multiplayer is fun and the realistic approach to customization, streaks, and really everything is a welcome change. Unfortunately ground war isn’t available yet, at least that I saw. I hope it comes soon, because after the beta, I’ll probably play it more than standard mp. The games well over 100gb and is packed with content, overall I love what I’ve played so far. All this said I see many complainers, some trolls, some upset about a single thing like survival or sjw types “outraged” and some just unhappy as with everything. Basically if you get triggered by clapping and want it banned, or have a tummy full of soy, you may want to stick to Pokémon. Only real concern is what they do with monetization and that’s yet to be seen, so we have to wait and see. Aside from that, if you enjoy realistic shooters and aren’t triggered often, pick it up and enjoy putting down some terrorists.… Expand

    This game is great, best cod in a long time. Guns feel great and the animations are SO SATISFYING. I never thought i'd say that cod could be immersive but IW really nailed it on this game. The propaganda could've been toned down a bit. But i get it, it's supposed to be like the old MW series where the russians are the bad guys but at the same time they're not.

    Firstly I don't understand why people give 0 score to this game... Gameplay is pretty solid. Campaign is Fun. Physics and mechanics are top notch.. Multi-player is great. Yes it has some issues which will be solved in future by patching the game.. I am very satisfied with this edition of the game.

    This new and reborn Modern Warfare is what this franchise needed. I’ve just completed the Campaign and I am amazed by how well done the story is. The game engine upgrade is on full display with the best looking Call of Duty to date. The multiplayer has game modes for everyone while bringing back the nostalgic feeling of the older Modern Warfare games. There are very few game modes that IThis new and reborn Modern Warfare is what this franchise needed. I’ve just completed the Campaign and I am amazed by how well done the story is. The game engine upgrade is on full display with the best looking Call of Duty to date. The multiplayer has game modes for everyone while bringing back the nostalgic feeling of the older Modern Warfare games. There are very few game modes that I avoid playing.     I’m having a great time with this especially having come off Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The slower more tactical style suits me compared to other COD titles. Runs well and no serious bugs so far. Can’t believe I’m saying this but good work Activision.

    Yeah I am enjoying cod again after several years of terrible editions this one get a lot right. On a side note metacritic should probably remove some of these angry Russian reviews I am sorry you are all so upset about a fictional story in a single prayer campaign but get over it. Everyone takes thing way too personally now days it is just a game.

    Call of Duty MW reboot despite having a small quantity of multiplayer maps ( for its day one ) infinity ward and activision promised future launches without the need of paying for it, and that’s the word I’m trusting. The gun’s sound are recognizable by it’s very characteristic design and each has it’s own way to be a useful weapon depending on where you are fighting, including theCall of Duty MW reboot despite having a small quantity of multiplayer maps ( for its day one ) infinity ward and activision promised future launches without the need of paying for it, and that’s the word I’m trusting.     1. The game is a mature take on terrorism and warfare, something that a lot of gamers just aren't going    Haven't played a CoD game since Black Op 2, but I was impressed with the mature take on civil wars and our current state of affairs in our world. I wrote a review to address the blatant discrimination a lot of reviewers are pressing on here because of how sides of war are presented.

    1. The game is a mature take on terrorism and warfare, something that a lot of gamers just aren't going to grasp in the single player campaign. The beginning showcases this with suicide bombers in London and a chemical depot controlled by the Russian military.

    2. To call this game "propoganda" while the Russian military invaded the Crimean peninsula and the U.S. controlled by a Hitler-esque leader is both concerning and funny. Funny because it shows the aptitude of those bombing this game, concerning because it means they aren't that well educated.

    3. As a game, Call of Duty overhauled its graphics engine and the game runs very well. The only mechanic I dislike is the sliding, but that is a small gripe as the weapons feel realistic and the maps are diverse in setting.

    4. The vast arsenal of firearms along with more realistic mechanics (weapon spray, recoil, bullet drop) are welcomed additions and I've enjoyed utilizing these warfare tools in the game.

    All in all, I think that Call of Duty has triggered the neo-nazi's, russian terrorists and psychopaths of our society through the story-telling. If you can't handle politics, then how do you plan on living in the world? Politics is literally in everything, but then again, some people's brand of politics are trash-posting, narcissim and god-complexes.

    9/10, a welcomed change of pace for CoD that has me satisfied with their product for the first time in a very, very long time.    … Expand

Here's why I love this game. The campaign wasn't too over the top, but it was also full of action. While I didn't get any emotional connection to every character, I did with some of them which is more than I say about other cods. The multiplayer has a very fast time to kill, which in turn creates a lot of camping playstyles. Other than this, I think the multiplayer is perfect and creates a new type of vibe than other call of duties. The co-op missions aren't too special I will admit. The only reason I played them was too unlock the operators within the multiplayer. I think this game is a lot better than everyone of the next gen call of duties, but everyone is giving the game a bad review because they're getting offended by a political stance that they assume infinity ward is taking, and their not even reviewing the game. You could similar things about BO1 because they fight Russians, but that game has good reviews. This genuinely annoys me and this game deserves a lot more credit than it's getting.… Expand

    One of the best COD’s in a long time! The graphics are insane (especially cinematics), the single player is interesting and fun and the multiplayer works perfectly. Yes, its dark and gritty but thank God for that! A breath of fresh air in these censored times.

Only gripe was the omission of splitscreen for ground war mode and also SPEC OPS! Yes, in this day and age people play online with others, but would love to have the option to hop in together with your kids, brother, sisters, girlfriend, wife, friends when theyre at home with you. Was hoping for the same SPEC OPS local co-op madness of MW2 but Modern Warfare didnt deliver it despite some early developer interviews confirming splitscreen for SPEC OPS. All in all, its a fresh reboot from IW. Have grown bored with the WW2 themes, Black Ops series, and Zombies. Looking forward to future DLCs and more Ground War maps!… Expand

The guns feel very heavy and have a realistic kickback giving them a solid feel. The campaign is great, the graphics are insanely good. The online is fantastic with the original call of duty ranking system back where you unlock guns by leveling and attachments by leveling up with that gun. I'm very impressed with this game, it's what I was hoping Call of Duty would come back to and I am not disappointed!… Expand

    I'm not a call of duty fanboy and truthfully I swore off buying these games years ago when the company started pumping out monetized diarrhea every single year, however a current user score of 3.3 is absolutely not fair to anyone and the only people that it hurts is the players. Now let's talk about the graphics and sounds:
    Absolutely superb. I play on a PS4 pro and let me just say that these graphics are unlike any other call of duty game to date. It's almost photo-realistic. The sound for everything is done extremely well and explosions and gunfire are loud and booming. The explosions looks sweet as well. Just throw a grenade and you'll see what I mean. The dev team should be proud of their work. The campaign, though very very short sitting around five hours, is done well and is fun and interesting. But there is nothing groundbreaking here. It's a far cry from the original MW, but still decent for a soft reboot of the series. However, it still leaves much to be desired and thus will be shown in the overall score.

    Now to the meat and potatoes, what most people buy CoD for. The Online. We will start off with my opinion then do the rest in a pros and cons list. Online, in my honest opinion is great. I haven't had any lag issues or any connectivity problems since I bought the game day 1. Some game modes are familiar, such as TDM, Domination, Search and Destroy, and Headquarters. There is a new addition by the name Cyber Atack and Ground War, a huge 64 player warzone
    Online as a whole is a treat to play and look at. I would like to compare this to Battlefield. This game is more of a War Simulation. Which I personally love. They have huge maps with vehicles and tons of things going on at all times. Sniping is actually and finally viable in Call of Duty again! It's crazy, it's chaotic, and it's as close to real war as I would ever want to get. Oh and did I forget to mention it's cross platform? Yes. No need to go buy an Xbox or PC or have your friends convert to your system of choice anymore!! Log in with an Activision ID and add your friends IDs and have fun gaming with everyone else! Now don't get me wrong, it isn't all sunflowers and daisies. It's hard. Like really really hard and there are, of course, still campers waiting in the shadows to kill you as soon as you come close. There are some matchmaking issues where you will get into a match where everyone else is way higher level than you. And even light spawn issues, where you may spawn right next to an enemy who guns you down as soon as you load in, this is also goes both ways. Sometimes you get lucky and get a free kill. Overall though there is far less issues than everyone is crying about, they still need patched however. Pros:
    -CROSS PLATFORM!!!!
    - Familiar and new game modes with even more to come
    -Big 64 player ground war more is amazing
    - No loot crates or stat changing P2W garbage
    - True skill based multiplayer
    - Licensed firearms(Finally no more made up laser guns) -Kill streaks are strong. They can turn the tides of battles instead of just being for someone to rack up huge kill counts. (this one may be subjective) Cons:
    - Multiplayer bugs need fixed
    - No one enjoys campers
    - No slasher game mode (Ok, don't count this one, but I loved it in the original MW)

    The game isn't perfect, But it definitely is worth buying. I can't recommend this game enough. In fact, I have been telling all my friends and co-workers to get it, because it is so good and we can play online together no matter what system they have.    … Expand

    Others may say the game is pure propaganda, i digress. The campaign to me is an amazing experience that takes you through an idea of a proxy war that a lot of people do not understand. It shows equal acts of good and bad on both sides, showing that you can't just win a war with words.     Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
