    No supply boxes, no pay to win weapons, all of the micro-transactions are just cosmetics and the guns feel very satisfying to use.
    The only disappointing thing about this game is that the campaign was very short but it was amazing.
    And to all the angry russian people I just want to say this THERE IS GOOD RUSSIAN CHARACTERS IN THE GAME like Nikolai. It's not about the russian people its about Barkov and how his leadership is wrong and demanding, NOT EVERY RUSSIAN SOLDIER IS BAD they're taking their actions from the orders of Barkov, I'm Arabian and I don't think this game is islamophobic or anything because it shows some muslim/arabian terrorists being bad people, some people are good some people are bad it's not about race or culture.    … Expand

    THIS GAME IS I PROBABLY the best fps in last years. Weapons, movement, graphic it's all amazing. Yes i know there is a lot of crap put on russians in favor of americans in campain but the multiplayer and game over all Is rly amazing. Hate bad move in case of that history "errors" but give this game a try. After all warzon is FTP if u want to try it out tho i personaly like standard multi-cod more.

    Idk why so much hate . The campaign is so realistic and breathtaking . As for the multiplayer ..im at aloss of words ! It's shown great progress by adding ground war and 2v2 ( gunfight). I havent found any diasadvantages for Warzone yet.despite the fact that ecery camper in the world chooses to join my lobby. Go back to fortnite kid and sit on a bush!!!!

    This is the Call of Duty I’ve been waiting for, for years. Absolutely love it. First time I’ve actually played a COD game for more than 6 months since black ops 2.

    Playtime 22 days. Its my first cod. Love it. Graphics and updates are great. Warzone is much fun but i prefer multi-player.

    Если бы не было набега "патриотов" я бы поставила 6 или 7, а так поставлю 10 чтобы скомпенсировать хоть один 0 от "возмущенного русофобией набегателя"

    The game is amazing the campaign is really good it made me feel emotions which has not happen in a long time for a call of duty game the multiplayer is really good with a little bug fixes it will be perfect. The Co-Op is actually playable now infinity ward is listening and fixing spec ops. Warzone is ok but I usually play multiplayer and the co-op.

Aside from the highway of dead fiasco, the crossplay feature wich brought hackers inmediatly, making russia the butcher of west asia (althoug barkov is actually a warlord that don't take orders from russia, and that by 2009 and 2019 his army is Made pretty much by highly trained russian mercenaries, Even some of the weapons that they use are western made like the famas, the scar, the aug, etc) wich in real life the actual butcher (or in this case butchers) of west asia is nato, Israel and saudí Arabia, and yeah You can pull off a afghanistan of your hip but still... usa does that **** currently in afghanistan and Even much worse things in there and the other countries they are occupying, and spec ops being very **** hard.     The bad russian, good captain america plot aside, the game is extremely fun to play. Clearing rooms, going dark etc was just exhilarating. Black ops cold war is a major downgrade. I'm sticking with this one.

    If you play campy,slow and bad you'll get your campers, if you rush, learn advanced movement (slide canceling, bhoping etc)and get good aim you'll get fast lobbies with the occasional campers, overall feel very nice, top 5 cod easily

    The best Call of Duty in recent decade.
    The amount of attention to details is beyond breathtaking. Special shout out to the gun viewmodels team Khoa Le, Mark Grisby, Hyper & Jun Chang for the amazing work that they've put in. Everything from campaign to multiplayer, from ground wars to gunfight are just amazing. This is the glorious comeback for Infinity Ward!

    I made an account to say that this is one of the bed COD games in recent times. After BO2 I stopped playing because I hated how flying became a part of the franchise for both black ops and modern warfare. This finally goes back to it's roots and I love it. Now this game is getting 0 from all these salty Russians. It's a game.     This is the best the franchise ever had.
    Good story.
    Explendid multiplayer.
    Outstanding animations ( not only good , but also hyperrealistic, even fighting with other games like EFT and Insurgency )

    Just love this game. It has a incredible and shocking campaign and the best multiplayer that I've seen in a Call of Duty since Black Ops 2.

    The only things that I don't like is the map design in general (the only map that I really like is Shoot House), and the coop Special Ops.

    Love this game to be honest just kind of sad black ops Cold War came and they are not coming with new guns or battle pass or any blue print for modern warfare anymore to be honest. I wish they worked on that because a lot of people still loved modern warfare more than Cold War.

    Do you remember how the developers promised us a revolutionary plot with gray morality where there will be no evil Russians and good Americans, well, they lied. Russians here are worse than nazis, no kidding, this game is just one piece of propaganda with nice gunplay.

    My top 3 favourite games in no order (as I like them all the same) are Cod 4, Black Ops 2 and 3, and this game has a good chance of replacing one of them as I have really enjoyed it so far, haven't played the campaign and have only played one short game in Warzone, the Multiplayer is where I'm always at and its absolutely fantastic I love playing it its very fun and I hope to keep on playing

    The best COD game in years! Graphics are incredible, gameplay is the best I've played in FPS ever. Maps are ok and campaign is AMEZING! cold war is such a downgrade in every sense. 2021 and I'm still playing MW2019. LOVE THAT GAME! ❤

There are countless guns in MW, but yet all of them manage to be meta in some way. There are so many options, but they are all equally powerful. There's no "overpowered gun" or "trash gun" because the guns have been masterfully designed so that someone's opinion of the best gun might be another's worst gun. This game has it all. Although it got off to a rocky start at launch, IW has managed to turn a mediocre game into a masterpiece.… Expand

    The best Call of Duty of all time: Insane graphics, dynamic movement, ballistics, etc. It's a masterpiece.

    Infinity Ward did well job with this one, the combat system is really well-made, a new engine that changed everything. Despite some flaws like Survival exclusive to PS4.     I have gotten so many good memories with this game. I played it so much. I don't think the single player plot is good but I still liked it. Most of my play hours are multiplayer. It was just pure fun even though it's not the best shooter mechanics ever.

And for those who don't know yet: Verdansk is modeled after Donetsk, which was captured by Russia.

    Best cod since black ops. The campaign is solid and doesn't feel like a throw away. The multiplayer is pretty good and takes some pointers from battlefield in a good way. Don't listen to the negativity as this is whiny triggered crybaby era after all and people get triggered with everything these days. The only negative is its online only which sucks

    I feel Call of Duty returning back to it's 2003-2007 glory days with this game in a lot of ways. A solid campaign and great multiplayer. Gone are the three lane map design the previous games have relied on so much, and we now have some normal urban environments again with multiple windows and doors as a normal building would have. This is definitely sending COD in the right direction once again.

    The multiplayer is pretty much what it has always been, but what i really like about this game is the campaign. Graphics are great, the game feels smooth and i just found it very immesive overall. Also, despite being an FPS, they managed to include many types of gameplay during the campaign, so it's not just run n' gun from start to finish.
    Also, i can see they've put CO-OP missions back in, like the good old MW2 days. Haven't tried them out yet, but i'm looking forward to it.
    To sum it up, if you're able to look past the "USA good, Russia bad" stereotype in the campaign, this COD is a really great game, and my favourite since MW2.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Before I give my review, I wanted to address the spam reviews over the Russian's portrayal in the campaign. There are "3 IMPORTANT FACTORS" they seemed to miss understand. First, they established the Russians your verse in the story are run by a rogue general and his regime (similar to COD 4) AND NOT A PART OF THE ACTUAL RUSSIAN MILITARY. The second and most important thing to note is this is A FICTIONAL STORY. Some of the countries and events aren't even real. If we can tolerate a Russian airport massacre in MW2, then I think we can suck it up for this. The final thing is a spoiler so skip to the next paragraph if you don't wanna read it. The ending confirms Modern Warfare is a prequel to COD 4 and Barkovs remaining forces are rounded up by Zakia's so its a part of continuity. Anyway, now I give my UNBIASED review.

    Let me start by saying, this is the best COD's been in YEARS. It's not perfect, but you have no idea how great it is to see them actually put some effort, try something new without disregarding what worked, and actually take risks. And believe me, I'm no COD shill; in fact, I haven't bought a COD game since BO2 and haven't liked one since. But I always hoped we could return to Modern Warfare's roots. I always wished the campaigns could be darker and taken more serious and the multiplayer could promote more smart and tactical playstyles like COD 4 did instead of all these run-in-gun, 360 no scope, Faze players, who in my personal opinion, really dumbed down COD. And for BETTER or WORSE, that is actually what I got.

    Starting with the campaign, it's fantastic. The reworks animations, graphics, and sound design really make this a great looking game: borderline real looking at times. And the missions, cutscenes, and transitions between are seamless and well handled. This isn't a half-baked campaign like Black Ops 3's were half of one mission is just you holding the right trigger while you wave a turret around at dumb enemies. The missions are very diverse and give you countless play styles from more empowering moments like calling drone strikes or piloted a chopper gunner to more intense, stressful (in a good way) or even borderline horrifying moments like trying to defuse a bomb vest, playing as a child who's trying to escape her village that's being attacked, or clear a apartment building with both hostile and civilians inside. And that's the best part of the campaign! It takes risks and doesn't hold back. While it might not convey the same emotion as MW2's "No Russian" mission, you can't tell me you didn't feel anything when a terrorist had a child at gunpoint and you had to refuse to let him in to protect everyone else at the embassy. It definitely gives you a lot of tough choices and the writing and characters really enforce it. Price is back and more fleshed out than ever, a lot of the new cast is great, the villains, while not AS iconic as Makarov, are still better than the usual generic villains, and the fan service to previous modern warfare games is just beautiful. My only two complaints with the campaign are the lack of intel collectibles and only around 6 hours on normal difficulty. But I'd rather have a short great campaign than a long boring one like BO3 or none like BO4.

    Now multiplayer. I hated how a lot of the recent COD maps in past games had lazy 3-lane maps with not many alternate routes that force you to just take one of 3 paths. It just promoted players to mindlessly run and gun, die and repeat the process until they get a quad feed instead of actually playing the game tactically. Yes, Call of Duty was never THE MOST tactical game, but back in COD 4, you actually tried in that game. And the maps expressed that with more complex map design with secret routines, crawl spaces, and overwatch positions. And now they brought that back... And people are complaining about the maps being too complex and too many campers just like they did in MW2. While I agree some maps like Piccadilly and Euphrates Bridge aren't great, I haven't had a frustrating time with most of them as people claim to be having. Just watch your corners, take it slow, and don't run out in the open like idiots. The gunplay feels like classic COD with some welcomed new mechanics like door breaching. The guns also feel great and this time has recoil and different sounds. There are plenty of modes to enjoy and the progression system is just addicting. While some map and weapon balancing would be nice, I'm in the minority that actually LOVES the multiplayer and actually learned the maps instead of whining about it 2 days after release.

    The last and more disappointing part is spec ops. It's not like the missions from MW1-3, but instead horde mode with objectives. And between ability glitches, non-stop enemies, and huge difficulty spikes, it's not very enjoyable. Not much else to say.

The story is very compelling and gives you another perspective on war. Multiplayer is very good as well I play a lot of gun fight which is my favorite but the other game modes are just as good.     I'm really enjoying this back to basics approach. The Gunsmith adds a bit of nuance to the game as you start getting quite attached to all the different builds you can do. This is from someone who couldn't get on with fortnight or Apex.

    The gameplay is COD, it's nice, it works. But where it falls short is the multiplayer maps, they just seem bad and in some modes it really easy gets to a point where one team controls 2/3 points and holds it without a chance turn the tide. I think it is because the maps are linear and you spawn on either one side or the other.
    Having spawns that are not binary is crucial to provide flexibility.

    Also grinding your guns are not all that fun, I'm sad to say that BF4 (2013) did it better. And the footsteps seems bugged, I felt like I could hear people from much further away then I should.    … Expand

    The multiplayer is fun and spec ops is amazing. Survival is amazing but it sucks that its only available for PS4 until October 2020 and that is the only reason why i scored 9/10 instead of 10/10, but this isn't infinity ward's fault. Survival had some bugs when it first released and one of the maps are very bad but has now been fixed and is amazing.

    Multiplayer is very toxic but its COD so i mean what do you expect.. The new game engine is amazing and works very well with COD's formula. The maps are great and range from small with tight spaces to very large and open areas. Ground war is everything that i wanted from COD, even though some people are criticizing it for "copying battlefield", i don't care. Even if the ground war mode copied battlefield you have to admit that it is just dumb fun action, which is what i would expect out of COD and i hope that is what other people expect.

    Overall MW 2019 is the best COD since MW2, with a brilliant campaign and amazing Multiplayer/Spec Ops. Even though Activision blocked people on Xbox and PC from survival for a year after release, its fun for the people that play it now.    … Expand

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
