You will be punished in multiplayer as long as you play well (by getting better opponents) that at some point you no longer have a chance to complete your tasks, you should think that would work the other way too, but ass lick nothing! 2. Which incest contaminated piece of **** thought it would be a good idea to put a ****ty Riot shield in the game? Directly fire my opinion. 3. the in game shop is a single catastrophe, there are only bundles to buy where you don't want to get 90%, and you have to be lucky that the bundles you might want to have at all on this day or at all again in the shop are the offer of dirt where you can waste your money changes every **** day.     The story was surprisingly decent. Serves as a nice reboot of the MW series and the plot has some good teases/references to the trilogy. The main antagonist could've been developed further. They didn't feel like a proper villain as they weren't really explored into with much depth. They're evil but the game doesn't really elaborate further. It also has a very anti-Russian sort of feeling.

    In its purest form, one policy and propaganda in the most perverted sense of the authors. In terms of gameplay, nothing has moved since 2007 or even earlier. Sadly, they rolled down the toilet.

    The game feels fundamentally broken. While I have 13 days played and feel like it has a lot of potential... Ultimately I feel punished for being a skilled player with their match making system, when coupled with lag issues 50% of the time games are unplayable..... Overall it feels broken and the more I play the more tedious it becomes.... I haven't experienced this before with any other COD

    Весёлый мультиплеер, но убогие огромные карты. Тупая система с обновлениями - сначала скачиваешь патч, а потом тебя не пускает в онлайн, потому что ты не скачал отельный пак с картами. Играть можно, но готовьтесь бомбить.

    Spec Ops is a massive step back from Modern Warfare 3. Though they have attempted to re-integrate stuff like the stars rating system the mode is still flawed. The ones in MW3 were based around the story and served a nice tight packages of action and challenge. The MW2019 spec ops is large open areas filled with enemies that just make the mode a slog to get through and will leave most players board. The only survival mode is a 15 minute long map that is known to glitch at the end. Overall Spec Ops is a major step back.

    Multiplayer is rather enjoyable. There is a lack of funnel maps and the mode has gone away from the futuristic lasers and jet packs. Recent maps like Shoothouse have shown just how good this games multiplayer can be.

    The single player is interesting from a gameplay perspective but the story is forgettable as are the characters. Whereas in something like Black Ops 2 where your choices would effect the story and not end it, here they just end the game. Open a door to the terrorists and you get a bullet in the head followed by a checkpoint reset. In Blops 2 when given the choice to shoot a friendly or the enemy your choice would effect which would live and how the story would continue. Honestly this story has no balls and it's attempts at being edgy and shocking fall flat. I found myself laughing at how try hard it was.

    Overall I find that this game is meh at best. The spec ops is a flop, multiplayer is pretty good, and the singleplayer is meh.

Issues with the naming aside, revisiting the title responsible for turning Call of Duty into one of the biggest juggernauts in gaming via this reboot has proved to be the redemption theyAfter trying and failing to innovate the series with their last two entries, Infinity Ward was falling short of the work done by Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games in the franchise they originally created. Issues with the naming aside, revisiting the title responsible for turning Call of Duty into one of the biggest juggernauts in gaming via this reboot has proved to be the redemption they needed. The Call of Duty experience has in no way been redefined, but by going back to basics like this and readopting the structure of their earlier works, Infinity Ward has delivered their best, most varied, and fun game since 2011's Modern Warfare 3.

    While the campaign may test your patience when it comes to Russophobia and historical revisionism, it's hard to fault the actual gameplay. Much like Call of Duty 4, the single-player offering is a diverse series of memorable and exciting encounters. The exploration of the more horrific elements of war and combat are interesting, if also controversial. Placing civilians and children infront of your gun is an odd move for a series known for deriving fun from it's bombastic action and non-stop shooting, but it did garner an emotional reaction from me when I was forced to pick shots carefully in a crowded city to avoid killing innocents or something along those lines, even if that response was just disgust at the brutality of the moment.

    The multiplayer is a blast. It's largely still the same experience we've been playing for years now in terms of the modes and core gameplay, but the new engine makes it all feel fresh again. The controls are the same, but shooting is better than ever as weapons carry a sense of real weight are more devastating than ever. The presentation is also phenomenal. The photorealistic graphics and outstanding sound design (I'll likely never tire of hearing bullet casings hit the ground) make each match just cinematic as any of the campaign levels. The amount of freedom you're given to customize your guns and overall loadouts offer the depth of an RPG and the returning War mode from WWII offers the scale and massive battles of a Battlefield game.

    The reinvigorated Spec Ops is a nice change of pace from the now repetitive Zombies offering we typically get. Although I personally would have preffered the return of Ghosts' underrated "Extinction" mode, it's hard to not appreciate the amount of genuine cooperation and tactics these missions require even if the difficulty of them can be downright grueling. I would love to see a patch that makes enemies less aggressive as often times failure isn't the result of poor planning or teamwork, but rather every AI on the map bum-rushing your location at once.

    With their last two outings coming up short of past glories and causing them to lag behind their peers in the series, Infinity Ward wisely decided to take a look back at what worked for them when they created what is still widely considered to the best Call of Duty. While not without its controversial elements in the monetization and story, this reboot is definitely a welcome return to form. Modern Warfare is once again the king of the FPS scene and it's all due to it capturing a style similar to the one that wowed everyone back in 2007.    … Expand

    In their effort to cater to newer players, infinity ward has effectively ruined what could’ve been a great game. Gameplay has no notion of skill as TTK is far too fast. Terrible weapon balance, visibility and SSBM hit the nail in this games coffin. This game sucks!

Моей первой Колдой была именно Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare и она на меня произвела хорошее впечатление, неплохой сюжет (Для Шутера), геймплей, крутой мультиплеер. Потом прошел 2 и 3 часть и лично для меня Modern Warfare стала любимой в серии Call of Duty. Продолжения ждал очень сильно. И вот дождался... Отвратительный, проходной, пропагандонский сюжет на 6 часов от которого вообще нет смысла. Правды ради некоторое отражение реальности есть, если вспомнить историю про ЧВК "Вагнер" и то как они жестоко расправились с каким то Сирийским пареньком то сюжет кажется не таким уж и бредовым. Но и Русофобии я в нем не вижу. Но вот если говорить о Мультиплеере то он получился просто офигенным, давно я так не кайфовал. Сюжет: 1/10 ( Единица за его присутствие)
    Геймплей (стрельба, карты, оружие и т.п): 7.5/10
    Мультиплеер: 8/10

    Games should help people to remove barriers between countries and nations. Instead of that CoD: MW makes new ones. It is the great example of biased attitude to the Russian. The developers show lack of creativity and their narrow minded view on others nations.

    For an online only game you'd expect servers to be amazing, But no, it's the worst servers a COD game has ever been run on. The netcode is absolutely terrible and the Skill Based Matchmaking system makes this an unenjoyable experience from the get go.    This is the worst COD title I've played in a very long time and that's coming from a guy who played Infinite Warfare and Advanced Warfare.
    For an online only game you'd expect servers to be amazing, But no, it's the worst servers a COD game has ever been run on. The netcode is absolutely terrible and the Skill Based Matchmaking system makes this an unenjoyable experience from the get go. The Spec- Ops mode is also utter garbage and the silence from the Dev's on Twitter, Facebook and Reddit proves that the game will never get fixed.     As a long time CoD player I can safely say this game is a solid 2 steps backwards when it comes to the multiplayer. The spawns are just terrible. You will be locked down to 1 area on the map while 80% of the map is completely free and open. You will find yourself more often than not dying at spawn before your character is even able to pull their weapon out to shoot back. Which considering how empty the rest of the map is, is just ridiculous.

    Next problem is the size of the maps. They are far too small. Bringing back maps such as shipment and having maps like shoothouse really make me wonder if they have tested the game themselves before including it. It takes the horrible spawns that the game already has on larger maps and cranks it up to 11.

    Ground War: This mode is much like the Battlefield series Conquest mode with large maps and a domination style gameplay. But, this mode suffers terribly from lack of map variety to extremely poor servers than can not handle such "large" battles.

    Gun mounting. Camping is already a big enough problem in this game but including gun mounting has only made it all that much worse as it encourages players to mount up and sit in 1 spot while having more of themself in cover.

    The Battle Pass. This has to be the most ridiculous cash grab I have seen in a hot minute. It is a complete waste of your money and the CONSTANT push for players to use the store to buy overpriced and pointless items is just annoying and should not be included.

    There are far too many game modes too. Not counting the Coop mode which feels completely forgotten already which I know will just cause problems down the line. Having Normal and Hardcore spit is normal and makes sense and modes like 10v10. But all these other little modes are just unnecessary and split the playerbase.

    The reason I give this a 3 though instead of a 1 which i believe it deserves is the loadout system. There is a lot of variety there and bringing in systems from previous games as a perk here such as Point Streak instead of Killstreak. The graphics are excellent, controls well on both PC and console and the crossplay inclusion is a very nice one. Campaign was the best I have seen in a CoD game in years.

    But the game has too many frustrating problems that makes the overall experience not a fun one at all. I would not recommend this game at all but instead a previous title in the series Black Ops 2. It had larger maps, fixed spawns and fun gun play. A real boots on the ground experience.

    Don't buy this. It a big step back in the series in regards to it's multiplayer and I can not in any way recommend this. It is a poorly made cash grab that pushes microtransations on you constantly after already paying $90 for the base game.    … Expand

    That's a somewhat polemic topic, but here I go: Yes, the history rewriting is hideous and should NEVER be done. It is dangerous and a menace to knowledge. Aside from this, the game is one of the best I played. Very fun to play, and jaw-dropping graphics. It id a shame such great work has this type of flaw. It is something that I hope never happens again.

    Some reflections: - New MW maps are not as characteristic as the old ones - they lack characteristic places, they are just unremarkeble. For example - Crash has got the wrecked heli in the center of the map; Crossfire is the characteristic street with    I created an account here especially to write a few words about MW. I am a big COD fan and I really had to share my thoughts with you.

    Some reflections:
    - New MW maps are not as characteristic as the old ones - they lack characteristic places, they are just unremarkeble. For example - Crash has got the wrecked heli in the center of the map; Crossfire is the characteristic street with many hideouts; Terminal or Highrise from MW2 were very oriiginal. Each map was diffrent. In MW 2019 maps are quite similar. We need differentiation and specific map constructions, not just some buildings and lanes.
    - Hardcore mode is a bit hidden in the game modes menu. It is easier to play Realism Mode, that is not better at all. Fewer people play HC mode, because it's hard to find it. I think that Realism should be more hidden and the HC rather on the top!
    - There could be the supply drops for points earned in the game - a nice incentive to collect points for which you can buy them. Something is missing. That would be really encourage.
    - Unlocking weapon accessories is too fast. It's hard to appreciate the time and effort in the game. We had to spend quite a few hours in Battlefield game to unlock another reflector sight.

    Pros:
    + Shooting mechanics are great, new animations also
    + Operators, guns, perks, killstreaks - just old good COD
    + Edgy weapon customization
    + Old COD maps - Crash and Vacant are best for now! I am waiting for more classic maps
    + Music is great! Similar to all new military movies and even John Wick soundtrack.

    I know this is just the Season One and a lot can change in the future. Personally, I'm waiting for new maps. It would be nice to see the FN2000 from MW2, some Sig Sauer weapons, HK UMP...

    It is fine when in the storyline there ar good side and the bad side. But showing USA war crimes and rewriting them as the Russian's did it... This time Activision crossed the line but btw multiplayer is well made and enjoyable to play.

    - The game bugs out a lot (on PC) after finishing all of the installations (My PC is more than capable) - Money grabbing to a fine art, cosmetic skins and battle passes (which used to be free and fun) are    - New Skill matching feature is infuriating, matching only off the past 5 matches
    - Searching for games takes longer as you will have to search for a new lobby of players every match
    - The game bugs out a lot (on PC) after finishing all of the installations (My PC is more than capable)
    - Money grabbing to a fine art, cosmetic skins and battle passes (which used to be free and fun) are always available to purchase after paying £60 for the game itself.

    Worst game ever, good gameplay but just bad maps, campers, claymores, bring back 3 lane maps. Furthermore, IW needs to go have a meeting with treyarch and ask them for tips on how to make a cod game.

    This game is fun but the spawn points absolutely suck ass. Shipment is the most idiotic map with the spawn points you have. You got people spawning next to you and behind you from the other team.....its stupid. It should either be removed or fix the stupid ass spawn points. probably never

    The game is so full of bugs and horrible balance that it ruins any fun there is to be had with it. It runs like garbage for how it looks and it looks pretty poor compared to other games. I get significantly less FPS that I will in comparable games, and it feels much less smooth than for the framerates the game reports.     The UI is probably the most bug ridden element of the game. As with all CODs, there is misinformation presented by the UI. The UI also constantly freezes; most menu clicks incur some brief freeze. The game has crashed more than any other AAA title I've played. Loading maps will sometimes stall out the game and disconnect you from the servers.

    The netcode is a joke and the player animations are jerky and unsmooth. It gets almost unplayably worse if the enemy is far away as the server will drop the tick rate to slideshow level low for even remotely distant enemies.

    The kill streak balance is atrocious, particularly if you play ground war. Ground war is polluted with high power kill streaks almost all the time. I hope you enjoy being constantly randomly killed if you want to play ground war.

    The sound in this game is also poor. There are dropped sounds all the time, and the positioning seems a little off no matter what sound settings and headphones I try.

    The VOIP chat is the most toxic I've encountered, but a fair margin, in any game. Full of people screaming obscenities, racism, and homophobia. In this day and age it would be easy to run the VOIP audio through a transcription AI that could ban people using using hate speech, but that gets to my next point.

    Usually I've always preferred Battlefield over Call of Duty. But, since Battlefield 5 came out and was extremely dissapointed, I decided to give Modern Warfare a try. I'm very impressed with the game overall! The graphics are top notch, the controls are pretty simple, the sound effects are great as compared to older COD titles that I have played. I also thought the story mode was the bestUsually I've always preferred Battlefield over Call of Duty. Nobody really gives a Sh** that there are inacurracies in "Highway of death" and that this may be anti-Russian propoganda. Nobody thinks all Russians are evil either. I also think its foolish to think that the Russian military is completely squeaky clean in their operations either, like the KGB for example, had some of the dirtiest tactics invented. So I'm just saying Russian people, your being total blind/dumb/hypocrites. Anyway, Online has tons of modes and lots of potential, but, the maps offer almost no cover unless you want to camp, which is what 90% of the online community does. I'm not complaining, but I think it's hilarious that if you walk out in the open for 1 second you instantly die. Definitely fun at moments but can be extremely frustrating when the teams are mismatched talent-wise. The online Co-op is also great but very tough. Don't even try this mode with Rando's, as you will die fairly quick in the level. This mode is best played with friends or a solid crew with headsets/communication.
    Overall, really good game, the story mode was it's strong point. The multiplayer is fun too but also frustrating as the maps favor campers. I think with time it will be more evened out with updates so until then I'll practice at getting better and more familiar with tactics that work in this game.    … Expand

    Buy the game on disc, prepare for excitement.......then spend the next 12 hours waiting for the 86 Gig mandatory download to complete before you can actually play the game! All I want to do is play the single player campaign, but no Activision want to waste my time because they can’t be bothered to include the actual game on the disc. Would get a refund if I could!

    Tl;dr:
    A decent game in general, but £60+ is a lot to pay for frustration and dissapointment.
    Still pay to win / loot box mechanics, with an added battle pass.

    Too many campers. I would be complaining about it normally, but it’s get worse as the life of the game goes on. Every match somebody’s sitting. Some of the maps need to have certain areas closed off because it becomes a camper fest. Other than that complaint about multiplayer, I will say the campaign is fun.

    This is the first Call Of Duty game i've bought since Black Ops 1 and I was not disappointed. Brings back memories of the original Modern Warfare games and thankfully got away from all that futuristic power crap.

    It's been over two months since it came out and I still play it almost every night with my friends.

    The whole PvP is based on camping on hidden cornerns. Maps give too much space to campers and there is no fun in waiting for 5 min behind a door for someone to pop up. The graphics is awesome but the level design is awful. Playing this game made me regret infinite warfare, and that says it all.

    This is the best that Call of Duty has been in a very long time. It offers the strongest campaign since Black Ops 2 and the multiplayer can be very fun when it's not being plagued by lobbies of campers. The co-op mode unfortunately needs a lot of work.

    I didn't find any creativity in the game. most of the maps are a collection of old CODs games. specially COD4 with minor changes to the weapons.

    I think the Game deserves some love, I've played for almost a month and experienced what it has to offer and yes there are annoying parts about the game, but if you want to buy it go for it.

    First time in my life i regret buying a game and this is new call of duty. Multiplayer is totally broken with skill based matchmaking and microtransaction to get better lobbies.

    The latest call of duty in the series in not only the worst Ive played yet, but in terms of been a solid video game it flops. Nothing about this game is coherent or balanced and in attempts to mend this infinity ward refuses to address the serious issues and instead throw useless MTX down the consumers throat all while still managing to break the game even more.     Honestly this is the first time in a decade call of duty actually decided to play at it's own core strenghs and put EFFORT in instead of poorly imitating what used to be superior fps games. And lo' and behold it's actually better than all the other fps games this decade put together! Who'd have thought! Certainly not you Activision that's for **** sure. It succeeds in that it puts fun ahead of everything else. There's never a dull moment, you move from one heart pounding firefight to the next, using every tool at your disposal to gain an advantage, every scenario is coated with enough realism to make it immersive without stripping away the simplistic fun of just shooting virtual bad guys.

    You're no one man/woman army in a goddamn Farcry wannabe environment like in battlefield, This is proper shooter material that we've all loved since the beginning, mission based gameplay split up into various gameplay segments that advance the story. The shooting mechanics have been dramatically improved with the added slide, mount and reload-while-looking-down-sights mechanics. The walking pace has also been reduced, resulting in an overall better handling and controls. Also you can sprint for more than three seconds which is good but not recommended unless you're running for cover or away from grenades, you're better off moving slower and checking your corners like a real spec ops agent would. The weapons all feel heavy and impactful with semi-realistic recoil and smoke and sound effects, sweeping the floor with the bb guns of previous COD and BF games(yes I'm still bashing on battlefield cry me a river).

    The voice acting is top tier, the lines are delivered with impact and genuine passion which fit well within the beautifully rendered cutscenes. Nothing feels out of place within the confines of the narrative, goes to show that yes, new generation first person shooter campaigns can be pretentious and still be entertaining as hell.

    Now moving on to the multiplayer aspect of COD, ok, I'm just gonna stick my foot up my mouth and just say that you're probably better off with battlefield multiplayer. I know i sound like an idiot but even though i prefer COD online vs battlefield online, if you're a new comer from either a non fps genre or battlefield you're gonna get extremely frustrated with cod's online behavior. Campers and miners galore! With the maps designed the way they are; full of nooks and crannies and conveniently covered and hidden vantage points, you're basically asking every player to be a Dickhead. So if you're not used to this brand of multiplayer **** I'd stick to the high ttk trenches of baby battlefield. Which at least is somewhat deterrent of campers. And the maps are significantly better, more suitable for skillful aiming accuracy rather than corner trickery. Though I'm not vouching for battlefield's connectivity on this one, with cod maps compacted as they are, there's less chance of latency than with the huge sprawling 60 player maps of bf. However the player progress is deliciously reminiscent of cod's good old days. Simplistic and full of new items to unlock and customize. No unnecessary monetizations so far during the time of this review, however should they be implemented later, i will come back and reduce the score from 8/10 to 5/10. I do not tolerate microtransactions of any sort in any game other than free to play, i already paid the required sum when i purchased the product. Even if it's just cosmetics, kindly out the damn door with you please. Right well that's that. If you're a fan of story driven first person shooters or even kinda intrested in them i highly recommend the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Ignore the screeching crowd of offended "cod haters". You gotta give credit where it's due and COD earned it's way back on it's throne.    … Expand

    Good game (campaign only). The best Call of duty since years (campaign only). Mature campaign, not long, but not only simple shooting. Multiplayer which force you to learn new way to play is really great (it was great till I realized how it works). No more running and killing like it was before now you have to think first before you run blindly through locations. More tactical (means campGood game (campaign only). I played COD for at least 500+ hours since Modern Warfare 2 and I wasn't enjoyed as much as I do now with this new Modern Warfare 2019. Campaign could be a bit longer but all know that most people waiting for multiplayer, besides that I don't like long campaigns anyway but for most people won't be long enough. There is a few graphical problems but it should be fixed within couple of weeks. Game run average 85fps Rtx2080Ti and ryzen 2700x at max settings ultra wide screen 3440x1440 with ray tracing on so in near future can be only better. Update after reaching level 60 at MP I need to lower the score cos the MP looks like a mess. Only one thing what you can do in this game is camp and camp only. Common problem is to see other players plus bullet register is **** as well, so I wouldn't recommend to anyone who liked MP like BO4 or BO3 cos this is very different. After few updates everything what this game does is claiming some money from you is like advertising flashing board. Going back to BO4 with no regret… Expand

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
