    The only problem with this game is this freaking picadilly map. It is probably the worst map in the game but i still love it.

    The multiplayer is full of campers, broken overpowered weapons, and garbage maps. Nerf the 725 and the m4. also remove the thing where you go deaf when you get shot. The campaign is a typical "RuSsIa BaD" kill the Russians type of thing. and spec ops is boring

    A lot of politics! After the game you can feel like Russian soldiers definitely are not positive heroes. They are described like only people who do 100% bad things only rude and aggressive acts. Like totally negative heroes. But Americans are super smart, very clear and do only humanistic acts, even when the have to do bad things when it’s only no option to avoid it. Campaign tries to have too many main bad guys, so you don't really care about any of them as a result. Finished it in 1 sitting, so not very long. Multiplayer has by far the worst maps I've ever played in making it extremely easy to camp in. Completely eliminated running and gunning in favor of a much slower and much more boring play style. Footsteps are way too loud making it furthermore impossible to run and gun.… Expand

    Game is unplayable without 30Gb instal AND A 61 ****ing GB PATCH. Absolutely trash as usual, Activision. Luckily it was just a bonus rental at redbox and didn't cost me anything.

    This game’s story-mode is insulting: not only it’s short, unimaginative and really repetitive, (the only exception is the kid’s mission which I kinda appreciated) but it’s also insulting in the real sense of the word: KEEP YOUR GODDAMN POLITICS OUT OF VIDEOGAMES. (literally unplayable) BUT and emphasis on the BUT the campaign has a few quality moments and held my interest.

    Multiplayer: The Multiplayer is in a rough spot, its not bad and plays better than MW2 on launch but as i write this there are three viable weapons and the rest are sort of just there... Not bad but just outclassed. The game plays quite well on the new engine and i love the small quality of life improvements such as editing classes in game. Cross platform is a bit buggy and you will be kicked from your group occasionally but besides that works well and is lots of fun. Gunfight is beyond amazing and i love the competitive pacing of it (please add a ranked mode to it). Minor adjustments to gun balancing would make the multiplayer much better, but all in all ive enjoyed it.

    Spec Ops: Yet to play it as i cant download the package required and at this point couldn't care about it, from what ive heard its broken and boring.

    Campaign: i had little to no faith in the campaign as i haven't enjoyed a call of duty story since i was 11. the story is cheesy at times, you have your generic falling out of helicopters and walking it off, or your cover shooting for 15 minutes. But the story does have a few exceptional moments, Clean house is a tense level and has a great pacing. the campaign is short but extremely sweet and if you can look past the generic stuff, its quite fun.

    all in all a fresh take on an old friend, id recommend it as a Christmas gift for a family member, but not something you should spend $80 CAD before taxes on. wait till it has a sale and definitely pick it up.    … Expand

    You guys are ridiculous. Im not even that great at the game, Im def not a fanboy. 1.05 KDR and last COD i played was WW11. Its a major improvement in all categories. Graphics..immersion...realism. this is what real COD fans have been waiting for. Solid 8.5 but rating 10 to counter the haters. Get it. You wont be dissapointed.

    Multiplayer is broken. The respawn system is awful and will constantly spawn you right on top of killstreaks or right in front of enemy players. Map design is extremely poor, especially Piccadilly. Worst multiplayer FPS out right now.

    so many bugs that are not getting fixed, too busy nerfing the same gun 3 times in the space of 1 month.
    Campers paradise! the maps are specifically designed just to sit in a corner and camp all game. Most boring and slow paced multiplayer game ive EVER played.
    The new field upgardes are broken and wont let me use them half of the time in game.
    Hit detection is broken, i shoot a full assault rifle clip at someone and 90% of the bullets go straight through them taking no damage at all???
    You spawn and you die straight away due to the new mechanics that wont let you shoot for the first couple of seconds of spawning in and the spawn system is also broken due to very bad spawn loacations.
    The game is that slow paced on FFA and TDM due to campers that the timer runs out in the majority of games rather than hitting the score limit
    Overall the game is slow paced, boring to play and very frustrating, really not worth the money imo.
    I wish i never bought it, really isnt the game they made it out to be    … Expand

    First of all, I am a big fan of the franchise. However, the story of this CoD was boring and uninspired. The gameplay is heavily scripted and no fun at all. There are not too many different weapons to use. Although you don't bear to much of responsibility in your Squad (that does basically everything and you are just following them), there are plenty of opportunities to die.     I see people are a little angry here, but they clearly haven't played the game. I think maybe the developers may have been a little heavy handed on the Russian military. And inaccurate with who was bombing the highway of death,(it was the coalition not the Russians).     But as usual, the COD franchise is stuck in the past with its "on rails" storytelling and gameplay, some of which can be at times fairly good. There are a few missions that really shine, and make you feel like you're really in a modern combat situation. However, the Hometown mission is one of the worst pieces of gaming I've ever played. If I had the choice between having to play that mission again, and never playing another game, it would be the end of my gaming career. It's indescribably awful, from the ridiculously unreal movement, to the set-piece style action, it's a failure on nearly every level. Points for the story, which did give me pause to consider the plight of those concerned. There are much better ways to get that point across though, and being taken out of the body of a modern day soldier and thrown into the perspective of a seven year old girl is not only incredibly frustrating, but also insulting. I don't need forced perspective to bottle-feed me morality, thanks. More importantly, I absolutely despise the "you can do it any way you want, as long as it's in this exact way" kind of gaming. Why not give players tools, and let them figure out how best to solve a specific problem? It makes for much more dynamic gameplay, which in turn almost necessarily means more fun. Dying endlessly until you figure out the ONE WAY the developers want you to complete an objective (while being given nearly no clues as to how it must specifically be done) makes for a terrible game. There are flashes of brilliance, but overall the campaign feels like you're a dog, and you're futilely straining your neck as someone tries to rub your nose in ****.    … Expand

    - some gamemodes disable the deaths count in the scoreboard but still count them towards the overall statistic why not just make HQ/Domination not count towards the overall KD if that players take going for objectives seriously.

    - Bad Menu (For certain game modes u need to filter Quickplay first or you ll never find a hardcore server which makes the whole menu a joke if only some modes are in the bigger menu)

    + Weapon Costumization is pretty good

    + Finaly a COD which isnt one of the SCI-FI games

I haven't played cod since ghosts was released as I didn't like the futuristic setting. Firstly just want too say the The campaign was amazing in this game. I'm level 147 online so it's fair too say iv been playing it alot. I'm just bored with it already there is next too no rewards after level 55 there isn't really much incentive to keep playing I'm not a great fan of the maps apart from 2 which are reasonably fun too play but the majority of them are just boring and lack any real character. There is no map in the game that is iconic or anything like the old maps from mw2 or mw 1 there just nothing really too them. Also thought I'd add the gun Smith is amazing it's great the amount of options you have to customise the weapons. Might be an unpopular opinion but I dont think there are anywere near enough guns in the game there could of been so much more variety. I know you can make variants through gunsmith but really there isnt alot of base weapons in the first place. I like the game but I'm just fed up with it abit now it needs more content and more things to unlock could do with some more calling cards and emblems aswell there lacking like much else in the game… Expand

Which is fine and understandable, but all the implemented things like sound, maps, perks, spawns etc. Should suit to the noobs needs. And the worst part of the game is the skill based matchmaking. The only thing you want to do after a long working day is playing a chilled game to calm down. But your only opponents will be sweating and camping idiots. And you have to be focused and concentrate all the time to make any kill streak. And I'm talking about the public section. Would it be the comp section, than it's fine for me. But public. The guns are so nice and you really want to unlock all camos, but the game makes it so hard for you to keep motivated, because you die in seconds after respawn.

    In the beginning I was really hyped about this game, but every time I play it, I get less motivated to play it again.    … Expand

Additionally the game is not well optimised and the borderline wooden gameplay mechanics not the flexible.     If you like running and gunning give it a miss. If you love to camp, pre-aim doors and one hit with a shotgun this is the game for you. I've been a cod fan since the first and this is by far the worst multiplayer experience i've had on a COD game. The perks are imbalanced, the weapons are a mess and the maps are sh*t.

    Multiplayer is really good, Spec ops although hard is fun but the obvious black sheep is the campaign. Some things are really good about it, Captain Price being just as badass. (Even AW had a better villain for **** sake) but in this one you can't think for him or understand him. It's just that he's bad or something like that. ****ing hell, how could Infinity Ward **** up this bad? Why can't we have a Chinese or North Korean threat instead of a basic, by the books, Russia is bad. What I do like however are the moments where you play as a young Farah, the mission where you watch a ****ing town get bombed is so ****ed up, glad to see Infinity Ward pissing people off again.    … Expand

    Overall a very meh shooter experience. There are a lot of broken things in the meta, and the game is poorly balanced. It's fun for a few hours but the fun is quickly replaced by frustration. Had I known this, I would have spent no more than $20 on the game.

The multiplayer is filled with campers and spawn killers who will take advantage of the games mechanics to make you end up throwing your controller out the window.     Dark gritty and a lot of fun, This game was a lot of fun and I like many am happy a campaign is actually included in this game.
    PROS
    - Mission Structure is Great
    - The bad guys are more or less grey area guys while the good guys stay grey as well This isnt GOODVsEVIL
    - Going dark & Clean House are fantastic missions
    - Varied and enjoyable

    - Short game can be beaten in a sitting
    - There is at some points dumb dialog with a super hero complex

    guns feel beefy and sound a lot louder than previous call of duties, I live mostly in Ground war which is a rip off of Conquest from Battlefield.

Incredible campaign, with faces old and new alike, and multiplayer that feels impossible to put down. It would be 10, but Multiplayer is still a little finicky and glitchy, like all your guns saying they're level 1 but keep all the attachments, to Cross-Plat players randomly being kicked from your party.     Campaign - this is the mode I see getting the most flack and I've always hated this term but "calm down snowflakes" holy **** no one can make a story without being called phobic of the "bad guys" nationality, I'm also assuming kiddos here never played the original trilogy. But the campaign is good feels good missions feel varied between a mission where - you are assaulting a building where you can shoot out lights and use night vision goggles - sniping judging by the wind akin to the mission in Cod4MW
    Realism mode addd a nice beautiful touch to the HUD and difficulty. Some moments made my jaw drop some were flashy meh set pieces.

    Multiplayer- unlike other call if duties where I played every mode consistently I mostly live in ground war. Regular mp is somewhat broken in spawns still just classic cod the menus are a little strange everything is crammed in a "quick play" tab that you have to customize via filters to chose your modes. Ground war is straight up a rip of of the tried and true battlefield mode "conquest" it's great if you like snipers, camping, teammates that are allergic to the points and the odd Defcon nuke (hold all points for 30 seconds). But what gets me is the guns my gun is like LVL 40 and it's barely halfway through its unlocks, you can fine tune your guns to a play style you like Damage > mobility

    Camos out the arse serious too many hah. First cod to crossplay and that's pretty great though Activision is a lot more lean on its name rules and it's good ole fashion call of duty cancer with some names on there.

    Spec ops - missions are fun I guess they take place after the campaign so be prepared for that, but think Cod mw2 it's fun with friends. Survival on the other hand. Is a PlayStation exclusive and that is stupid. I have it on PlayStation but with crossplay being a thing you can't play with Xbox or PC gamers and that kind of sucks    … Expand

Так же из за отсутствие выхода в России низкий пинг пули реально не попадают по врагам. Сюжет хорошо что есть а то в 4 его нет и этоПривет всем.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Objectively - story company, it takes a maximum of 5 hours (on medium difficulty). Many points are borrowed from various films, and this even goes to the plus, but again, the plot is not enough. Some missions self-repeat. Some characters are not spelled out very well, because of this it is difficult to condole their feelings and sufferings (from evil Russians). As such, the "neutrality" that the developers promised is not. The choice is minimal and has little effect.
    As usual, the Americans / British fellows saved the Russians from themselves (from the evil Russians).
    Special operations are boring and uninteresting.
    BUT there are no complaints about the gameplay, an excellent game, this is more like Battlefield than the latest Battlefield V.
    Pleasant shooting, convenient and intuitive controls, but a little complicated interface for a simple layman (as an example - getting weapons for pre-order from the arsenal turned out to be difficult for some).
    Too arcade control of equipment, although this is a stupid nitpicking, because IN CALL OF DUTY THERE IS VEHICLE and HELICOPTERS and this is already good.
    Killstrikes for the mode are implemented cool, but balance is needed.
    You feel the spirit of the very good Call of Duty, but it is played and felt in a new way (for the better).
    (Objective rating - 6.7)

    Subjectively - my internal VATNIK just broke from the most violent Russophobia. It is Russophobic because it directly says about “KILLING RUSSIANS”, but in Russian localization the word “RUSSIANS” was replaced by “BARKOV SOLDIERS” to soften the glow.
    The game showed "white helmets" that helped people under the rubble, although they are better known for their fake salvations, filmed for show.
    Although Activision tried to somehow smooth it out by adding the “good” Russians who cooperate with the United States, but in the special operations on the territory of the “mocked” state the DNR (the modern conflict in Ukraine) served as a prototype. I will not talk about the notorious Feminism ...
    Too arcade technique, played poorly.
    A lot of maps were created for campers (as if I had just entered Battlefield).
    The problem of Asians with cheats on European servers can be omitted.
    (Subjective rating - 4.3)

    The saddest thing in this situation is that the developers decided to push off the USA crimes in Iraq by changing "USA" to "Russia".
    As an example: the "road of death in Urzikstan" is the same "road of death" in Iraq when, during the retreat of the Iraqi forces, the USAF destroyed the retreating Iraqi army (which is prohibited by the Geneva Convention).    … Expand

    Honestly the gameplay is nice and the graphics are amazing but the game is missing too much things. Like some of the weapons from the older CoD Modern Warfares like the INTERVENTION sniper rifle. The game could really improve if they add more weapons and modes to choose from.

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
