    Русские в новой колде показаны нормально, НО солдаты Баркова это не солдаты, а изгои такие же как и сам Барков, серая мораль в игре показана и очень жестоко и круто. А наши же "патриоты" которым видеть ли не понравилось то что показывают как и добрых Русских, так и изгоев солдаты Баркова, просто жаль что разработчики постарались, а игру так сильно    Мне очень жаль разработчиков, но начнём!

    Looked promising, but as is already typical from CoD / Activision products: Bugs, crashes, steep requirements, poor communication, patches, pre-loads, load times and of course, the over price.
    How can you drop the ball on your own flagship product… again?

    Multiplayer feels okay but not great even though the graphics are amazing and the game feels good to play. The thing about the campaign is controversial in my opinion.     The developers of the game promised an interesting plot with gray morality. But they made a boring game with good Americans, good evil non-Syrians and terrible Russians.

    I have played every cod since modern warfare (cod 4) and this is by far the worst. I didn't like jet packs before but at least the maps were good, at least they gave you something to grind for, they had cool camos and things to earn. This game? You earn crappy looking camos (like 10 different shades of all the boring early camos of any other cod game) and earn some ribbons, that's it, noI have played every cod since modern warfare (cod 4) and this is by far the worst. I didn't like jet packs before but at least the maps were good, at least they gave you something to grind for, they had cool camos and things to earn. This game? You earn crappy looking camos (like 10 different shades of all the boring early camos of any other cod game) and earn some ribbons, that's it, no prestige mode, just unlocking attachments for guns, most of which do the same thing but they make a lot of copies to say 80 attachments per gun or whatever.

    Black ops 4 was a great game, a lot of people skipped it or chose to hate without playing it but it was great (until recently they started adding crappy pay for guns). I thought it struck a good mix of arcade, fun and good shooting where as the new just focuses fully on "realism", so basically you have tons of people sitting "mounting" their guns on doorways and ledges with zero recoil, pre-aiming where your about to come round, no amount of gun skill is going to save you. The fact they put mounting in, with killstreaks only, a low time to kill and slow movement means you have to camp. Watch you favourite youtuber who used to be amazing at run and gunning now holding down a building, camping and mounting, it is the way they want you to play the game and it really does suck, its taken a lot of the skill and good feeling away from what made cod great. I do think the sound is amazing, but I would say this feels more like modern warfare remastered than a 2019 cod, it really does feel like there is a lack of content. 2 maps on ground war? one map on classic spec ops? (was it really that hard to add a few others??), 4 maps on normal spec ops which is literally just never ending enemies spawning, add in 6 juggernaughts at one time for "difficulty" and keep enemies spawning all over you, then you get 2 shotted by an enemy with a pistol hidden somewhere you can't see. Spec ops was a shame, I loved mw2 and they should have just copied that with more content.

    Like a lot of others I registered here just to speak my mind on this game, campaign is cool but you should never be buying cod at 50 pounds for the campaign. Overall its the only cod I won't play more than 20 hours of and the first I will probably sell once im done with the little amount of spec ops I have left.    … Expand

    It's funny to see how US developers try to transfer failures made by their government on Russians in their game. It's very strange that this game doesn't have some sort of Abu Ghraib or some guy like Julian Assange pursued by the Russian government for saying the truth about tortures and murders. This game is fiction... fictional Nazi-like propaganda. Good job Activision and Infinity Ward.

    Those Russians that are review bombing this game clearly didn't finish it or even play it at all. The Russians in the game are acting rogue against their country and the rest of Russia does not agree with them, nor are the Americans and Brits shown as perfect clean heroes, far from it even. The guns feel very heavy and have a realistic kickback giving them a solid feel. The campaign is great, the graphics are insanely good. The online is fantastic with the original call of duty ranking system back where you unlock guns by leveling and attachments by leveling up with that gun. I'm very impressed with this game, it's what I was hoping Call of Duty would come back to and I am not disappointed!… Expand

    I remember when Medal of Honour Warfighter was about to release, most western media and politicians were outraged because they were calling the Opfor 'Taliban' and force a re-naming and led to severe boycott, because that was disrespectful to the vets etc etc. If that's your mentality towards games and movies that are made for entertainment reasons alone, you can hardly blame the RussiansI remember when Medal of Honour Warfighter was about to release, most western media and politicians were outraged because they were calling the Opfor 'Taliban' and force a re-naming and led to severe boycott, because that was disrespectful to the vets etc etc. If that's your mentality towards games and movies that are made for entertainment reasons alone, you can hardly blame the Russians reacting the same way being portrayed in such a big title. And don’t trust all of the negative Russian reviews. They are just butthurt you fight against Russians in the campaign. If you like COD campaigns this is a must buy.… Expand

    This game is an excellent new addition to the franchise. The campaign is one of the best in COD history and the new engine finally make COD look like a modern title. The console multiplayer is very campy. However on PC rushing is still a viable strategy.

I have only one question, How brainless Russian were able to capture an entire country and why is it difficult for American and British troops to fight against them if Russian solders are so stupid? But the funny thing that there was mission were chick telling us about Highway of Death and how Russians attacked the convoy of innocent people, nothing special for CoD...but thing is that is the real road in Iraq and in 1991 American and British force attacked that convoy, and I laughed when game tell me "no no no it wasn't American it was Russians" I felt like I'm watching like kids blaming one ich other and I'm thinking "Wait dev promised us a "gray moral" story how come they didn't show us that moment how it was in real ? Isn't it about war is bad and mistakes happens? About how fcked up people can be in a time of war? Isn't it about America or British or Japan or China or etc did sh1t too?" Strange very strange logic of "gray moral" dev have didn't think it's about blaming and showing stupidity only from one side.
    Well as I wrote before who cares about the CoD campaign, this game doesn't need a campaign it's about wp. The campaign itself is boring and too Russophobic not worth my time. Mp amazing.

    2.5/100 campaign don't waste your time on it
    90/100 Multiplayer its worthy of trying it

    PS. Don't know why Russians so mad about this game cuz cmon it fiction cmon aware one understands that Russians are not bad as every politic says about them and you know you can make your own game were every one are bad and Russians are good. Chill guys.

    What a propaganda... I love CoD and playing this game for 10 years. But last part is weird. Russian army and terrorists are the same? Holy **** its too much. Im from Russia and I've never seen such a lie.I hope that people who were in Russia will never believe in this lie. I will play this game anyway in multiplayer, but campaign mode is terrible.

    Amazing Graphics! Fun multiplayer! Great story too. Killing those evil Russian goons has never been so much fun. They like to annex countries and meddle in elections and kill civilians along the highway, if you can look past their atrocities and crimes against humanity it's a great game.

    O melhor COD feito. Jogabilidade excelente, cores gráficas realistas, todos os modos bem feitos. Modo 2x2 extremamente balanceado, modo história imersivo. Melhor jogo jogo de fps atualmente.

    Игра достойно продолжила серию Modern Warfare. Всё на уровне, - экшен и кино позволяют с интересом пробежать короткую кампанию всем любителям шутеров.

    Другое дело, что ничего нового серия не приносит, включая старые проблемы (генерация противников, пока ты не продвинешься вперед, к какой-то условной точке, тупой стелс (а в какой игре он не тупой?) и такие же тупые противники). Есть и    Игра достойно продолжила серию Modern Warfare. Всё на уровне, - экшен и кино позволяют с интересом пробежать короткую кампанию всем любителям шутеров.

    Другое дело, что ничего нового серия не приносит, включая старые проблемы (генерация противников, пока ты не продвинешься вперед, к какой-то условной точке, тупой стелс (а в какой игре он не тупой?) и такие же тупые противники).

    Есть и приятные плюсы, - на старте у игры не много багов (они конечно есть, но мне не попался не один критичный). А то мы сейчас привыкли к "норме", особенно в крупных играх, что выходит абсолютно забагованная игра, в которую порой и играть то из-за этого невозможно. Потом полога её доделывают патчами, и только потом в это можно будет играть.

    Сюжетно да, - плохие русские и почти хорошие американцы/британцы (по ним есть нюансы, но их скорее вставили для галочки, типа смотрите наши парни тоже не такие уж хорошие).

    Но знаете что, - если у вас нет своей головы на плечах, то вас оболванят не в "плохой" игре, так в "хороших" новостях по ТВ. Или наоборот.

    Лично я с удовольствием пробежался по кампании, вспомнил "старые" времена первых частей Modern Warfare, где подобный кинематограф с постоянной динамикой вызывал просто "вау"-эффект.

    С удовольствием поиграл бы в подобный, и главное качественный, шутер из России (с блекджеком и шлюхами), где надо было бы мочить плохих американцев :).

    Правда выпустить классный AAA-проект это "немножко" посложнее чем строгать пропагандисткие ролики на ТВ (это относиться ко всем сторонам конфликта), но америкосы способны помимо тупой пропаганды выпускать и хорошие игры, а в РФ с этим, надеюсь пока, всё намного сложнее    … Expand

    Story was absolutely mediocre and the multiplayer was by far the worst multiplayer I've played in any call of duty. Between the massive amount of camper catering and the broken bugs that affect not only gameplay but love way up such as straight up not even getting XP after matches as well as equipment not working at all as it's supposed to

    Что я могу сказать по этой игре ? Нихуя! Постоянно везде русские виновники, кто бомбит Сирию ? Русские ? Кто обстрелял мирных иракцев ? Конечно же Русские ? Везде вИноваты Русские ? А сами небось в трубочку сопят и ИГИЛ поддерживают, и весь общий терроризм... Я в эту игру даже не стал играть, я даже пиратку не скал скачивать. Поточу-то игра превратилось в самое настоящее гомно (И это мягкоЧто я могу сказать по этой игре ? Нихуя! Постоянно везде русские виновники, кто бомбит Сирию ? Русские ? Кто обстрелял мирных иракцев ?     One of the best shooter campaigns I've ever played. Actually I dont like shooters, but CoDMW is awsome. The story is exciting and the game feels like you are really in there.

    The story, leverages the parallels of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in the 80s and the effects and subsequent effects on the west, it also draws on Russian actions in countries like Chechnya in more recent history to set the stage, and even the actions of Western powers since 90s too. For those claiming the Gulf War 1 Highway of Death incident the Americans killed Civilians, you should check your sources. There were no civilian casualties, the only people on that road where Iraqi Army, the same Iraqi Army that had invaded Kuwait, the same army that was technically involved in an armed conflict with coalition forces under a UN mandate, it was a valid military target, during a legal military action. Yes, the story may leverage this incident as inspiration however, this is more akin to incidents during the Second World War where fleeing civilians would be attacked from the air by Axis forces.

    So many people seem to be forgetting this is fiction, there are scores of books, TV Shows, Films that have similar stories and no one is slating these.

    All in all, having completed the entire story in about 5 hours, it felt too short, definitely could have been a little longer, has a few interesting twists to it.    … Expand

    Absolute trash, worst multiplayer i've ever seen at any CoD. Its makes Ghosts look like a master piece. Most disappointing CoD of all time. Sound and footseps are terrible, maps horrendus, ridicoulus time to kill. Trying to be a Rainbow 6 kind of game, and just sucks. What a shame.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Had it not been for "grey morality" and "realism" marketing gimmicks, if IW said they make a classic COD plot full of cheesy BS set in a B-movie reality... That didn't happen and now many are spitting from what they got versus the promise.
    It's a COD 4 prequel with a classic crazy BS campaign: there's Kastovia (Donetsk Republic), Urzikstan (generalized Mideastern state retconned to be unnamed country of COD 4), Georgia, Russia and they’re all connected. A baddie Russian general Barkov that has lead a 20 year long Russian occupation of Urzikstan makes his own chemical weapon gas (!) in Georgia (!) and smuggles it to Kastovia, then to Urzikstan to use on civvies. CIA/MARSOC operators raid a Kastovian facility to confirm it but gas gets stolen presumably by baddie Urzikstan terror org Al-Qatala (COD way of spelling Al-Qaeda) but actually turns out to be a baddie splinter group of Urzikstan Liberation Force goodie rebels. Let’s fast forward to Urzikstan where a CIA operative wearing a plate carrier vest disguises himself with a black headscarf (!), openly walks around baddie Russian soldiers who search for rebels (!) and gets away with it (!).
    Enough with synopsis, you get how moronic the plot is from realism POV – same as old CODs, hence B-movie reality, not really your Zero Dark Thirty. It has always been this way to drop the jaw of generic Billy from Oregon and present a clear political message: wars are gritty but necessary and cool, there are baddies and goodies (sometimes goodies are not so goody but then baddies are even worse), NATO troops are generally world’s top goodies and they are almighty because they can pull off almost public black ops like a cakewalk in say Russia (MW shows firefight in Saint Petersburg’s major street because that’s how CIA/SAS operate), BTW you should enlist ASAP if you can.
    There are indeed some hints of "grey morality": that baddie splinter group of ULF goodies that stole the gas to use against its enemies – the baddie Russians/Al-Qatala. Or when NATO operatives do some minor morally questionable things like torturing an enemy for intel, pointing guns at his family to untie his tongue & etc. This kind of "grey morality" isn’t anything new to the series, I remember intel torture back in MW2 as well as other examples. Who is mostly exempt from "grey morality" are the Russians: they exploit, torture, burn, gas, hang and murder Urzikstani civvies for 20 years and we get aplenty exposition to witness it. "Mostly" because there are a few minor characters that are Russian but are goodies, the remaining vast majority are your literal SS Nazis. Plus it's implied several times that the baddie general Barkov is an acting member of the Russian military, though they "disown" him after his death, it’s clear they never did anything to stop him and this "disowning" business (to proclaim him a rogue general?) is obviously a PR damage control move from Moscow. Newsflash: Moscow is a baddie baddie, as most members of the "Nazi" Russian military.
    You don’t even get a trope about some soldiers not sharing the sketchy ideology of their command and showing signs of humanity – like "Nazi" pilot Franz Stigler who spared a wounded B-17 and escorted it to safety, or Cpt. Silas Soule and Lt. Joseph Cramer from First Colorado Cavalry who told their units to hold fire when ordered to shoot Indians during Indian Wars. That would have been *REAL* grey morality, as well as showing that NATO goodies do occasionally commit major cruel atrocities or use a falsely engineered casus belli to start a war. It’s kind of twisted to pretend that things like Haditha massacre or Abu-Ghraib torture didn’t happen by the hands of US in a country invaded after 9/11 without UNSC bill based on a fake chemical weapons sample tube "obtained there". Chemical weapons that were never found, but that ill-founded invasion with all its atrocities helped to spawn ISIS and consolidate many Muslims against everything "western". That generic Billy from Oregon may not know/remember/care for these facts, but I and many others genuinely upset by MW’s deceitful artistic representation of reality do – and the fact that IW markets it as something opposite contributes to the offense.
    If you have played MW, you know my attribution of "goodie" and "baddie" to MW factions is spot on – but in case with *REAL* grey morality that can’t happen per definition. The Expanse is a perfect example of proper grey morality: try to distinguish goodie and baddie factions there. Or Spec Ops: The Line which handles the premise of moral ambiguity like a boss: a feat that means even more if you compare its budget to MW's.
    And fake gun names, seriously? Bobby Kotick didn't spare few $K to license proper names as in the original trilogy? You get a lot of strong womyn though: CIA chief, army general, rebel leader. I’m surprised Cpt. Price isn’t Cpt. Rebecca Price wearing an LGBT patch because she/they/xe is openly lesbian.    … Expand

    Yeah I am enjoying cod again after several years of terrible editions this one get a lot right. On a side note metacritic should probably remove some of these angry Russian reviews I am sorry you are all so upset about a fictional story in a single prayer campaign but get over it. Everyone takes thing way too personally now days it is just a game.

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
