    The game is really great! It’s more that just a shooter with a mediocre plot. MUCH more! Sometimes you feel like you in Rainbow 6siege, and sometimes like you in a horror game. And what is more fantastic - sometimes you feel like a monster from horror game! 10/10 without a doubt!

    A terrible plot, the unreasonable exposition of Russians as terrorists and murderers.
    I don’t know what Activision wanted to achieve, sales amid scandals or dozens of lawsuits, for Russo-phobi and racism.

    I was really looking forward to this game, especially with the cross platform capabilities I would finally be able to play with all my friends. Unfortunately it ended up being possibly one of the worst COD's i've ever played. It has an atrocious camping problem.     MW 2019 is the best COD since MW2 (but not better than MW2) The campaign is absolutely insane (in a good way).     The campaign is absolutely insane (in a good way). The characters are very well written and there are many very memorable moments in many of the missions. I can't go into detail because of spoilers but its the best COD campaign since COD 4 (but not better than COD 4). Some people are complaining that the Russians in this game are seen as terrorists or it is spreading anti-Russia propaganda even though its just a video game and this is just a pathetic way people try to pull politics into a game and also the people complaining about this are just lazy and can't open their eyes to see the actual game, play it and make an actual review on every part like i am doing. If you don't like the themes and story of the game don't play the game and definitely don't go and write a 0 star review just because of how the Russians are portrayed, you are not telling a truthful review of the game your just pulling politics into the game and misleading others. Other then uneducated people giving the campaign a bad name, its great and i hope that Infinity Ward makes a sequel to it in their next game.

    The multiplayer is fun and spec ops is amazing. Survival is amazing but it sucks that its only available for PS4 until October 2020 and that is the only reason why i scored 9/10 instead of 10/10, but this isn't infinity ward's fault. Survival had some bugs when it first released and one of the maps are very bad but has now been fixed and is amazing.

    Multiplayer is very toxic but its COD so i mean what do you expect.. The new game engine is amazing and works very well with COD's formula. The maps are great and range from small with tight spaces to very large and open areas. Ground war is everything that i wanted from COD, even though some people are criticizing it for "copying battlefield", i don't care. Even if the ground war mode copied battlefield you have to admit that it is just dumb fun action, which is what i would expect out of COD and i hope that is what other people expect.

    Overall MW 2019 is the best COD since MW2, with a brilliant campaign and amazing Multiplayer/Spec Ops. Even though Activision blocked people on Xbox and PC from survival for a year after release, its fun for the people that play it now.    … Expand

    It's a great design realistic game. Great sounds and effects. I its 9 for single player and 10 to multi-player.
    I don't understand people voting 0 because the story is against Russia. So people want a war realistic game and are expecting to kill unicorns? I get your frustration but it's a game, get over it and enjoy it. It's the best multi-player in years.

    Найкраща гра в серії. Подобається все від графіки та звуку до малих дрібниць. Окрема похвала за сюжет, він чудовий. Приємно що розробники не бояться показати реальний стан речей, і зображають росіян такими, які вони є. Жодної демонізації тут немає. Росія нападала на десятки країн, захоплювала їх та тероризувала її мирних мешканців. Дякую за чудову гру.Найкраща гра в серії. Подобається все від графіки та звуку до малих дрібниць.     CALL of DUTY: Modern Warfare наверное самая из лучших серий игр из CALL of DUTY: но частично правы на счет злых русских имею веду политиков или военных ну все стольные русские как бы не злые. Не понимаю почему люди так возмущены частично правда но не где то перегнули палку ну и что?     Это цитата между двумя ключевыми игровыми персонажами, которую они воспроизводят в своем диалоге сразу после того, как перебили добрую сотню российских солдат на авиабазе, расположенной в одной ближневосточной стране. Удивительно, но именно эта фраза передает всю игровую суть новой части этой серии игр. Разработчики обещали внедрить серую мораль в игру, мол, никто не будет ни однозначно добрым, ни однозначно плохим... НО как всегда есть это самое большое но, которым эта концепция уничтожается полностью. Да, нам показывают терракты, то есть однозначно предосудительные действия отдельных боевых группировок и тут же нам показывают как перед моральной дилеммой оказываются солдаты "Ее Величества" и лично капитан Прайс. В другом моменте нам показывают как русские солдаты, называемые здесь люди Баркова вешают, расстреливают, насилуют даже эксплуатируют население ближневосточной страны и потом через пару миссий показывают как "борцы за независимость" этой самой страны применяют газ, украденный естественно у русских, чтобы защитить остатки своего сопротивления от наступления тех же русских. Не заметили пока ничего, чтобы серое сделали однозначно контрастным черным? Тогда вот вам вишенка на торте русофобии и предрассудков. Миссия, которая ужаснее миссии в аэропорту из старых версий игры - это миссия, где русские солдаты просто для развлечения под предлогом "поиска содействующих террористам граждан" приехали в мирный город и давай направо налево расстреливать мирных жителей, особенно детей, травить их газом, взрывать гранатами, убивать белых, пардон, зеленых касок, которые мирным помогают... А потом еще вдобавок от лица маленькой девочки нам показывают как здоровенный накаченный русский мужик в тельнике буквально разрывает отца ребенка, а потом гоняет ее по всему дому автоматными очередями... Словом, серая мораль-то она может и серая, но в сочетании белого и черного, разработчики и авторы сюжетной линии черным окрасили однозначно русских солдат, которые безумствуют в разы ужаснее чем террористы и становятся фоном, на котором любые плохие поступки персонажей западных стран - это только "вынужденные меры", а убивать "плохих" это вообще не предосудительно и даже поощряется... Словом, лично я, после всего увиденного пришел к выводу, что все-таки опыт выпуска игр серии без сюжетных компаний - это лучшее что может с ней произойти. Потому что мало того, что сюжет новой игры вышел откровенной русофобский до омерзения, русские здесь разве что младенцев не пожирают, так и еще более плоский и посредственный, чем был в свои лучшие годы. Поэтому мой вам совет, не покупайте эту игру, не голосуйте за подобные проекты своим кошельком! Смело проходите мимо.    … Expand

    Singleplayer is simply awesome.     Singleplayer is simply awesome. This is the most intense campaign in a CoD game I've played, and one of the most intense in an FPS in a long time. This is brilliant.
    Some will dumb it down to "America, f*ck yeah, Russia bad, we save the day". They just didn't get it.
    The KEY point imo is that Russia in the game IS America in real life. America IS doing what we see Russia do in game (sure, maybe not to the point of hanging people in the streets, but it's a caricature, exaggerated for the purpose of the game). Keeping this in mind, the campaign is an amazingly critical take on the modern conflicts in the Middle East, and their repercussions in the Western World. Just like CoD4 was spot on with the "modern" part in 2007, this is exactly on point with modern war.
    One BIG thumbs down is a glaring issue with stuttering in the cutscenes. This is unacceptable, and the cutscenes are garbage because of it. Which is a damn shame because they look AMAZING. There is no excuse for this garbage, this seems to be happening to a lot of players and there's no way this could've gone unnoticed if they tested the game properly.

    For the Multiplayer part. Oh boy. I'm gonna preface this by saying it, the modern CoD games are garbage for me. The game peaked at MW2/BO and it's been going downhill ever since.
    This changes with this game. I'm getting vibes from the original MW games. And that's coming from someone with something like 40 days of in game time on MW2.
    I get that this is not for everyone though. If you've never played the OG CoD games, then this is very different from the current way they do things. Exit the map design where you can realisticly only encounter ennemies at like 5 different spots, and welcome multiple routes and flanks, maps where you can stick to the close quarters encouters of buildings and tight roads with a shotgun, or find high ground spots with lots of visibility all around to snipe people. Bye bye generic laser weapon number 25, and welcome back to simple yet effective guns that feel like your shooting when you pull the trigger (by the way, sound design? Amazing). From what I understand, this makes the game much slower than the recent CoD games, which is a good thing in my opinion, but can for sure be a turn off for others.
    Basically, I can sum it up like this: If you spent your highschool years on the MW trilogy, and got turned off by the subsequent games cause they just didn't feel the same, that's the game for you.
    The addition of the Ground War mode, a 32 vs 32 "battlefied like" game mode is also a welcome thing.
    Oh, and crossplay is a thing. You can play with your friends no matter what system they have (and you can farm controller peasant with your glorious superior PC hardware. You can turn off crossplay if you're a controller player and you (righfully) don't want to get assblasted by PC players on keyboard and mouse).

    Finally on the "things that aren't really singleplayer, or multiplayer", I was pleasently surprised with the stability at launch. I didn't get any lag online, the game is gorgeous and runs at a stable 60 fps (on my 1060 at least).
    I also didn't get any crash or issues that you might "expect" from playing a game at release
    I already mentionned it, but the cutscene stuttering thing is unacceptable from a AAA game. Hopefully this can be patched quickly. But to be honest that's the only problem I've had with the game.

    As a final note, I'd say that I'm pleasantly surprised by the lack of BS cash grab from the game. There's no season pass, no loot box, no DLC, no nothing. I've not once been prompted to pull my credit card out for any reason, and from what I could see the only things you can buy are skins for the guns (and like charms and stuff to hang from your weapon) or temporary XP boost.
    BUT, I'd say, be cautious. Activision and others have been known to wait a couple of month before rolling out the BS cash grabs in their game, so only time will tell. For now at least, I'm having a blast.

    I read from a poster this game is called Claymore duty modern campfare LOL. People camp more and more by the day. I just spent a whole team death match being spawn trapped at the same spawn that never flipped while the opposing team just rained down all kill streaks on us. WTF

    Modern Warfare so far has been a roller coaster in terms of enjoyment. There are times I love this game, and times I just want to step away from it to take a break out of frustration, most of that frustration being part of the multiplayer which is what I buy COD for primarily every year.

There are times I love this game, and times I just want to step away from it to take a break out of frustration, most of that frustration being part of the multiplayer which is what I buy COD for primarily every year.

    Let’s start out with the campaign. While I’m going to be very brief with it and very vague so those who are reading it won’t get spoiled, it’s insane. Infinity Ward did not hold back and went balls to the wall with the intensity shown in the campaign. In one of the early missions I was actually panicking and afraid from how immersed and shocked I was in the scenario your character is put into. Most of the scenarios and events you’re shown in game are based around actual scenarios that happen today, which makes it that more shocking to take part of. Your actions actually feel like they have some weight to them and you gotta identify your targets really well in some missions or you may end up shooting an innocent bystander. The game does give you a prompt that the campaign you’re about to play every time you begin a campaign session is very violent, so if you’re sensitive to graphic or very violent stuff, which the campaign is packed with, stay clear from the campaign.

    While the campaign is pretty short (finished it in about 7 hours on Recruit difficultly without rushing, I wanted to enjoy the campaign instead of dying instantly every 15 seconds on Veteran) it’s up there as being one of my favorite campaigns in the series. I didn’t put a lot of time into Spec Ops but from the two missions I played which I believe are the first one and a “stealth” one, both are extremely hard as you get closer to the end of them. Enemies can instantly down you if you aren’t quick. I highly recommend going in with a group of friends instead of going into a public match with randoms where teammates can abandon you frequently.

    As for Multiplayer, while I understand the map design philosophy by having all these crazy and multiple lines of sight and hiding spots, taking this approach along with a fast time-to-kill (TTK) and non-traditional mini-map that does not display enemy gunfire unless a friendly UAV is up, a new mounting system where you can put your weapon on a corner or ledge and make your weapon have virtually no recoil, and footsteps being absurdly loud even when you’re crouch walking, it all heavily promotes camping. Now I’m usually not the type of guy to bash on people for playing how they want to play as long as they aren’t cheating or exploiting a bug or glitch, but when the entire lobby is watching doorways and you go on 30 seconds in a match (which is a decent amount of time in a COD match) without hearing a single gunshot on the map because nobody is moving, that’s ridiculous. Dead Silence isn’t a perk, it’s a “field upgrade” this time around which is sorta like a temporary ability you get every once in a while in match based on time and performance. You’re already being punished heavily for moving since everyone is playing with headphones cranked all the way up. I don’t know what was the logic behind not making Dead Silence a perk, but I guarantee you that if they turned it into a perk right now, a lot more people would be moving and the game will be more enjoyable to play. The spawns are also abysmal. I’ve seen some of the worst spawns in the MW beta and thought “ok, they’ll probably get ironed out before the game releases” yeah they didn’t.

    I’ve experienced multiple absurd spawn traps both on the receiving end and the ones doing it. I’ve at times pushed into the enemies spawns right in their faces to wipe them out just to get the spawns to flip and they’d still spawn there in front of me. Call of Duty games have a track history for having super predictable spawns and bad spawns but Modern Warfare’s spawn system is on a whole other level of bad. It does not want to flip your team if you guys are getting mowed down trying to get out of your spawn. We also don’t know how microtransactions will be handled in the future. They said they’ll make it so weapons are earnable through gameplay, but based off how Black Ops 4 was handled, I honestly cannot trust the developers nor Activision. Black Ops 4 was very innocent at first and turned into a hot microtransaction riddled mess late into its life cycle. I’m not sure what will happen to MW, as every game since Advanced Warfare included loot boxes. The multiplayer lis a roller coaster of emotions. Crossplay is awesome, the customization is top notch, and the gunplay is really nice, but I don’t think I’ll enjoy watching doorways like the rest of the lobby for too long and I’ll eventually play something else if they don’t change the meta.

    Nice one. Finally someone showed true russians as is. Good shooting mechanics, there are no more of these plastics, instead of weapons, now we have a full-fledged weapon, it is felt, it is heavy and close to reality.

    It's such a poor game. Feels like another case of paying promoters and main stream critics more than what they have spent developing the game. Another huge fail from a major developer. Abandon these so called triple A's and look for more unique and well thought out games made by smaller studios by people with imagination unlike these money grabbing leaches!

Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
