Not only do the character models look brilliant and really show the facial expressions and weathered effects of the characters but they make the surroundings feel real and are a blast to explore. Gotham City is lively and feels like a run down city which is helped by the constant rain which just adds to the visual candy. The visuals in this game really show what the PS4 is capable of and it is definitely the best looking game in my collection.

Of course, the visuals are just the icing on the cake and when I play through a game I like to enjoy the story as it makes the experience all that more satisfying. Unfortunately, the story was fairly mediocre at best. I did enjoy thoroughly playing through the story for the most part but it wasn't gripping and certain aspects were a little too predictable. The new character who was actually originally made for the game is given in the title and known as the Arkham Knight. I feel like this character was slightly lazy and could've been used better in the story as the only reason he wants batman dead is because "ooh I hate batman the most and I know his tricks so I can kill him.". As well as being underdeveloped it was made extremely obvious who the Arkham Knight's identity was with the foreshadowing which was practically writing his name on the walls. It seems evident that the arkham knight was forced into the story in order the keep the word "Arkham" in the game title as when he is inevitably defeated (is that really a spoiler?) it makes no difference to the story as Scarecrow was the one actually threatening Gotham City and posing any sort of a threat. The Arkham Knight aside, the rest of the villains were portrayed very well with the exception of the riddler looking like he's going through a midlife crisis and can't even bring himself to button up his shirt anymore but nevertheless the entire cast were voiced wonderfully and the script writing was engaging and well written. I especially loved the lines the thugs would randomly spew out as you were travelling along Gotham City and I found myself laughing at a lot of the things that were said. Most of the things they came out with were actually relevant to the plot too which was always very fun to hear. There were multiple references to Arkham City and it was clear that the plot may have been more enjoyable had I played the previous games but the story is enjoyable to both veterans and newcomers alike.

Finally the most important feature of any video game: the gameplay. First off the game is almost perfectly optimized for PS4 and works like a charm. I say almost because I did encounter a few glitches throughout my experience including a "falling through the floor" glitch which I would say is probably fairly rare and I'm just stupid. With that out of the way I think it is best that I point out the obvious fly in the ointment: the batmobile. Yes, what has been the main promotion for this game and what fans have supposedly been begging for since the first Arkham game was released is finally here and of course they've crammed it down our throats at every opportunity they got and after a while it becomes hard to breathe. In my opinion one of the main flaws of this game is indeed the main gimmick of this game and like all gimmicks the effect wears off quickly when you're using it for almost every mission in the story. As I have said previously I did thoroughly enjoy the story but in an attempt to make the game more "badass" the batmobile is needlessly slapped around your face until well after your cheeks have torn off. Whilst I didn't hate the batmobile, I did get extremely sick of it, especially towards the end of the game as the combat does not change in the slightest. There are two modes for the batmobile: driving and battle mode. Obviously the driving mode is for speeding around Gotham City and despite the floaty controls I didn't have too much of a problem with the feel of racing around in the dark knights compensator but then there is the battle mode which believe me you will know all about by the end. The batmobile is used in every chance they can possibly get to fight off tanks and it gets very monotonous as despite the upgrades and additional perks the fights are repetitive and become boring especially when they're not even challenging. Even most bosses are replaced by tank battles which was very disappointing as any climax is destroyed by the boring action shooting. Luckily it's not used much in the side missions which are actually really fun and add a lot to the experience. Also when the combat is used it is extremely fun and smooth and despite being simple to learn it soon gets very challenging to master but I found myself purposely fighting thugs just to use it more. There are also stealth missions which I am horrible at but they were tough and fun to figure out ways of taking out thugs without being seeing as it was done very well.

The story is quite good but most certainly the weakest out of the franchise due to the fact that it's predictable(with one exception that saves the story from being weak) and 80% of it takes after director Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Rises. The combat is excellent, easily the best in a Rocksteady game to date; the voice acting is top notch, the characters are great, the graphics are amazing. And that's all the pros of the game.
The side missions are fun but weaker than the ones in Arkham City; the Riddler challenges aren't that interesting anymore since they've been done again and again; and the batmobile, which is a mixed bag in and of itself. It feels very fluid and fun to drive it throughout the(rather small and lifeless) city, but the part where it turns into a tank and fights drones, while fun, gets a little repetitive at one point.
If you are a Batman fan like I am, then you certainly must buy this game; if you're not, you might still enjoy the excellent combat and entertaining batmobile rides. Love it or hate it, this game is a good, albeit faulty, send off for Rocksteady's version of the The Dark Knight.

As is often the case, the overarching black-and-white hero versus villain story is far less interesting than the hero’s journey itself. Batman’s personal trials as he fights to protect his friends and city, all the while struggling with a slight descent into madness brought on by the Joker’s dying legacy, is well captured here.

Despite some of its more convoluted Dead Parentsaspects, the characterisations and accompanying stories were quite moving, particularly the origins of the Arkham Knight. However something that I believe to be an ill-advised design choice on Rocksteady’s behalf was to lock the true ending to the game behind 100% completion of all the main and side quests. This would be fine if it weren’t for the Riddler challenges, of which there are a staggering 243. These range from simply finding trophies, to solving visual riddles or destroying specific objects that are littered around Gotham. Many of the aforementioned trophies are linked to puzzles that you must solve in order to get to them. These puzzles are incredibly varied and well-designed, and make complete use of all your gadgets, including the Batmobile.

It is immensely rewarding to complete all of the arrogant trickster’s challenges, but it takes almost the same amount of time playing the main game to get absolutely all of them. While I enjoyed this aspect, I imagine there will be a vocal few who won’t have the patience to persevere with the challenges, and without the true ending you aren’t really given a satisfying ending at all. The true ending (which you can view here), also poses more questions than it answers, and while dramatic and well-presented, does not give a sense of finality to the tale.

Arkham Knight is an interesting blend of many different gameplay systems. Part brawler, part stealth, part detective, part vehicular shenanigans, it takes many varied elements and does a good job of stitching them together into a cohesive whole. There is a high degree of visual and gameplay polish, and an interesting (if a little murky at times) multi-faceted story. However, during my playthrough I couldn’t shake the feeling that perhaps Rocksteady lost sight of the core of the Arkham games, and Arkham Knight ends up being only a little better than the sum of its parts.

Lucky then that each of these parts are so well-crafted, but when I look back on this series, it is Arkham Asylum that I will remember most fondly.

This game is amazing. I think that is not as good as Arkham City, still I believe that it is one of the best games this year ( behind MKX and Wither 3), the as great perfomances from Mark Hammil and Kevin Conroy and the best graphics in recent memory
My biggest problem with this game is the lack of hand-to.hand boss battles and the overuse of the batmobile.

Amazing game, the open world is very well designed and the new abilities in combat and predator are great. I do think that there are too many tank battles;however, other than that great game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game is pretty solid with brilliant gameplay and fantastic game design. The city itself looks very detailed and the new batsuit looks quite fantastic as well. The combat is every bit as fun with new combos and new variations in thugs. The story is good enough, not as good as City. The villains seemed very dull with limited apperances. The reveal of the Arkham Knight was pretty obvious and the character itself is quite weak. The lack of boss fights is a negetive as all the confrontation between batman and the villains were demostrated through cutscenes. Another problem is the overuse of the Batmobile. Granted the batmobile is quite fun to do combat with when you are taking out enemy drones but the racing sequences do get a bit annoying at times. The side missions are fun but can feel repetitve at times. Also you cannot see the full ending unless you have completed all side missions.
To sum up the game does a good job of ending the franchise on a high and truly there weren't that many negetives aside from the ones I mentioned which are very subjective and can also be taken positively by some people.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The epic finale of the Arkham trilogy takes place several months later after the events of Arkham City where Scarecrow comes back for revenge by threatening Gotham by using his brand new fear toxin to destroy the city with the help of a brand new character called the Arkham Knight. This is another great game that we are all excited for with amazing gameplay of using your batmobile for the first time in the series. There are only two very minor problems i had with the game, sometimes there will be points where the game will make you use your batmobile a lot but that doesn't mean that the batmobile suck though. Another one contains spoiler about the Arkham Knight, he is a brand new character created for this specific game. So its a really big mystery about who is the Arkham Knight and why he also wants revenge from Batman. Unfortunately Jason Todd is the Arkham Knight, so he is basically the Red Hood in the Arkham series. He was never mentioned in this series until Batman starts having flashback of him for no reason really. They just probably added that for the people who have absolutely no idea who Jason Todd is. I wish it could have been someone else that we know in the Arkham series or make Jason Todd more involved in the series(probably during Arkham Asylum?). I love the Arkham Knight though, but not Jason Todd playing as him. Overall beside those two problems (which isn't really a big deal), gameplay is awesome and this is a fantastic finale in the series

Overall this is a must buy game for Batman & Arkham fans. There were no issues with the Batmobile fights (it had to be included orelse people would have been criticising saying this is as same as Arkham city), the main problem was no boss fights & Arkham knight (Duhhhhhhh).

Graphics are great... game play is well balanced and I love the way they are pushing boundaries. I get why some people are complaining with where they went with this, but I personally loved it and have spent hours on end playing it.

First, the melee and vehicle combat... As always, the melee combat was superb, although I thought there were too many advanced combos, and it was easier just to stick to the standard combos. For the most part, I enjoyed the use of the Batmobile in this game, but the multiple vehicle stealth sections were terribly implemented. There were too many forced Batmobile sections and sometimes it seemed that Batman was taking a backseat to his own car...

Up next, story and characterization... The story was decent: it was good enough to keep you going through the story without it seeming like a chore, but it was not as good as I would have liked. The Arkham Knight reveal was poor and predictable, and his character was a more annoying than menacing. There were multiple clue drops throughout the game, but not in a subtle way though. It's very obvious by the team he is revealed who he is. In fact, much of the story is predictable, not bad, but predictable. Scarecrow was O.K., but he didn't feel like the main villain and the reasoning behind his plans didn't really add up, I thought. The creative implementation of the Joker was a highlight though, and Mark Hamill was a treat, as always.

Up next, graphics and setting... The graphics are great, not the best, but very good. And the stormy, murky atmosphere was also fantastic. This game takes place in Gotham City so it is a little disappointing that it doesn't feel like a city. As soon as the game starts up, you're given reason to think you'll be playing in this bustling city. It is then immediately evacuated so only criminals remain... Also the fact that this game takes place over a SINGLE night, is a little unrealistic. You easily play this game for over 20 hours and it's supposed to be a single Halloween night. A look at a drizzly and gray Gotham during the day would have been nice to see. Overall, this beautiful city just feels empty with some collectibles scattered throughout.

Batman was a solid addition, but a lackluster conclusion, to the Batman: Arkham series. It's closer to a 7 than an 8, but I'm trying to even out the unfair scores.

Arkham Knight brings a big heaping dose of everything great from the past games along with introducing some new initiatives that make it feel particularly unique in the Arkham series lineup. The combat system and upgrade system are back form the previous games. The combat flows better than ever and the animations really give you a brutal sense of joy when you go to clobbering a bunch of brutes in a dark alley. Some complain that it is a bit button mashy, and I agree that overall it is, but that doesn't make it any less fun. I like to focus on the beatdown I'm unleashing rather than complex button combinations. To add some complexity you can really focus on using the various finishers that become available or you can change the difficulty and play without prompts to block/evade. This makes fighting a large group substantially more difficult without changing the experience too much. The upgrade system as been changed a little bit. You get upgrade points by completing side missions and can spend at your discretion. This is a nice way to incentivize the side missions. They are fun and all but get a bit old after rescuing the 13th firefighter or taking down the 74th militia checkpoint. There are not that many but it feels that way. I have read a lot about people hating the batmobile portion of the game. I actually enjoyed rampaging through town in Batman's pimpmobile and the tank battles but it does feel like it was focused on a bit too much. It just felt forced down my throat about 3/4s the way through the game. Boss battles were a bit of a letdown compared to previous games, especially a certain tank battle when all the militia have been defeated. There weren't that many boss battles that really felt integral to the game. They were just there to give you a taste of the rogues gallery and that's about it. The story was fun and felt totally like a Batman storyline. The big reveal was a bit of a letdown but I think they made up for it with the great sequence inside of Batman's subconscious. Overall, this game is a must buy for anyone even barely interested in the Arkham games. It has it's flaws (I hate the Riddler trophies!) but the fun will far outweigh them. Lastly, the DLCs are wayyyyyyyyyyyy too short fyi. Expand

If not the repetitive, overpowered batmobile action that is built into this game it would be a 10 BUT forget that! The campaign is interesting, (spoilers) the way that the Joker killing joke stuff and death in the family stuff link into the campaign is amazing, it all makes sense and the suspense is enough too keep you on the edge of your seat with excitement! The game retains what it already has in the Arkham games, but has some smaller improvements on top of some familar gameplay. However the biggest difference being the inclusion of the Batmoblie. This new feature is a hit or miss; it feels great to drive around Gotham and take on enemies with it's battle mode, but there is a lot of high-action combat that mostly takes place in the Batmoblie. Almost no boss battles or important fights take place on foot. There's hardly any boss fights to begin with; it's mostly just you/Batman investigating crime scenes, finding the culprit, and fighting their goons and stopping their plan. It may seem like a big deal, but the gameplay, story, characters, missions and the replay value this game offers make you truly feel like the Dark Knight.

Batman: Arkham Knight gets an 8/10.

Sometimes quests break though, if you complete something you shouldn't have right now, you will watch batman have extensive knowledge in some cases, while in related quests he will act completely oblivious to events and facts you found out. But if you accept that, it will be a nice ride. Well, batmobile action is boring. It mostly includes eradicating waves upon waves of same enemies, sometimes new types join in and it gets harder, but it is still repetitive.

One thing for 100% completionists - riddler quests and collectibles are death. Annoying, annoying, repetitive, annoying.

PRESENTATION: the game graphicly is very gorgeous, there's not a single thing i consider doll, bad constructed or animated, the voice acting is phenomenal and the weather effects look very nice. I can't say the same for the music tho, because it's more atmospheric than anything and that makes it very forgettable i my opinion and i also encountered a number of glitches and pop-in every one in a while, so the presentation is good, but not perfect.

GAMEPLAY: Batman arkham knight has 2 different gameplay styles, the one where you control batman on earth and the other is the most controversial thing in this game...the batmobile. Let's with the "on-foot gameplay": Ok first of all the combat in this game is brilliant, for the most part yo just hammer the attack button to take out enemies, however to the game's credit, it feels awesome when you punch the ever loving **** out of enemies and the combat feels fluid without ever slowing down. To avoid the repetitiveness, arkham knight also has some different enemies that will require different strategies to defeat, you have gigant thugs that you need to stun them before attacking, thugs with shield that require different inputs to defeat, electric thugs that you can't touch until you shoot them with a the gun of electricity or even a combination of all of those enemies.

Batman can also use a number of items to progress through the adventure and they are all pretty unique and useful, there's batarangs, ice bombs, hacking device, batclaw, grapple-hook, the list goes on and all of these items are useful for many different things like puzzles, combat, travelling, etc.

Batman can also take down enemies from behind with the stealth mechanic and that is very satisfying to do, however if you do this a number of times a fear meter will fill up and when it's full you can do fear takedowns to eliminate 3-5 thugs and it is very important to use it if you want to complete the game.

Side-quest are plentiful in this game and they all require a different thing to do like rescue firefighters, stop bank robbers or...uhg...the riddler challenges...ok you know what? **** the riddler, this side-quest is so long, tedious, annoying and boring, that can make any player rage-quit.

Now let's go to the most divisive part of arkham knight, the batmobile. Ok this thing is used to do 3 things

    1. Travelling through the enormous city.

    2. Solve puzzles.

    3.Tank battles

The latter being the one i'm going to focus on, because the others are pretty self explanatory. The tank battles basically are the other 50-60% of the game and at least for me it never got repetitive, i love shooting the other tanks and i never got bored with it, there's special weapons that you can use to speed things up and it requires quite a bit of skill to execute well and i always enjoy the time with the batmobile.

But just like with the side-quests there's one BIG, exception to my enjoiment with the batmobile...the cobra hunting segments, this type of tank battles only happens like 5-6 times in the entire game, but believe me...they are HORRIBLE!!, this sections are one big **** up and easily the worst part about the game for me. Now, why they are so bad?, well, the only way to destroy this thing is from behind, now this in of itself is not bad, however, because the cobra tanks love to be so close to each other, it's nearly impossible to get a clear opportunity to destroy this ******* things, so don't be surprised if many times you were so damn close to destroying one of this tanks, only to be spotted by another one and ruin your whole opportunity and it doesn't help the fact that they can kill you in 2 hits!!, this part of the game are so frustrating, so annoying and soooo BORING, that it brings the pace of the game to a big slugg. Easily the worst thing in this entire experience and something i never want to experience again.

In conclusion batman arkham knight for the most part is a pretty solid and fun game, and while the music is forgettable, there's a few glitches and pop-up, the riddler can be extremely annoying and the cobra hunting segments can just go **** themselves. The rest of the game is very entreteining, solid and well done. The combat and items are great, the graphics and aesthetics are great, most of the side-quests are pretty fun and the batmobile is a welcome addition (except for the cobra hunting). With that said i'll give the game an 8/10, if any of the other arkham games are just as good or even better than this one, then i'm in for a treat.

My biggest vice is actually the inclusion of the newest item in the series the batmobile. It's fun, responsive and a welcome change in the game. But Rocksteady went nuts with it, you're forced to use it excessively in puzzles and the story line. Toward the end you just want it to explode, or be stolen, or have an engine malfunction... Anything to stop you from having to use it.

Other than that minor gripe, the game is very good providing hours of entertainment.

Smooth combat, glorious graphics, a cool (yet predictable) villain, a Batmobile, and an open city.
Batmobile combat got stale pretty quick sadly and I often opted to glide around the city in favour of it. Unfortunately 10 seconds later I was forced back into vehicle combat for the sake of a mission/side mission. Stealth segments were done well with more ways to takedown and strike fear

The character, as usual in this series, are awesome and you care about all of them, Barbara and Jim Gordon have an impact as never before, wich i loved. All the 3 main villains work very well, the Scarecrow type o villain is just awesome, it have the felling of freddy krueger, voice and gesticulation , preetty cool, arkham knight have a great plot twist, and the other i'm not gonna comment, cause can be a spoiler.
The story line is almost so awesome as it was in Arkham City, an very emotional and inspiring game, with a bunch of ways to interpret a lot of moments, some parts you can feel the despair in the character in need to do something, but it just can't, you want to do something, but just can't as well, it would be a hell of a movie.
Combat and stealth still the exact same, still works for me, the side mission, not so good as it could be and as it was in origins and city.
Now, this game could be great, but is just to good, why ? one word, batmobile... i know, i know, a thing that we all were waiting in all other games, in the beginning is pretty cool, enjoyable and all of that, but it gets to repetitive, i mean, TOO REPETITIVE, it's so boring that you need to fight in the batmobile every damn time, even the bosses, you gotta fight then all in batmobile it's horrible, the only good thing about batmobile it's the locomotion, and should be the only thing that it can provide, but the fights happen every time and aways shooting at tha bright point in other tanks, need to do this hundreds of times, it take so patient to do that without turning the game off and do again later.
Batman arkham Knight, a game that could have been great, is just to good!

The Scarecrow believe it or not isn't a bad main villain but I still feel he was overshadowed by other villains. The other villains being Arkham Knight and another I won't mention due to spoilers. The mystery of the Arkham Knight is very compelling, and I'll admit eventually I got to the point where I was Arnold from Predator constantly saying, "what the hell are you". I appreciate that the story will take breaks and tell you now is a good time to do side missions. I will say I was slightly disappointed in the lack of a Rogues Gallery of villains. I didn't see some of my personal favorites like Bane or Deadshot, or Mister Freeze. Now that is a nitpick because this is definitely a personal story with Batman. We get deep down into his psyche, and see his slow decent into madness because of Scarecrow. With the twist being **** amazing having me on the edge of my seat I will mark it down for a grievous offense. When you beat the game to get the true ending you must 100% the game. **** that. Seriously Rocksteady I will never go out of my way to find the Riddlers bull**** trophies. I just don't have time for that **** So yeah Rocksteady next time let the reason to get Riddler trophies be something like 100 gamerscore or a Batman suit to wear not the ending to the game.

The voice acting is phenomenal in this game. Hell there is a music number that is so catchy that it was stuck in my head while I was at work. I will say I wish Scarecrows original voice from Arkham Asylum was in this because that **** was cool and not just a rehashed Dr. Strange. The game looks beautiful, the fact you can drive the Batmobile in heavy rain and have it feel like it was raining hard is just fantastic. They will force you to stay out of detective vision which is great so you can just admire the third redesign of Gotham. My issue is with yet again we don't have a Gotham city with civilians. The story has it make sense why none are left, but damn it I want innocent people to save otherwise the basic thugs on the ground are just there to be there because I sure as **** aren't going to fight them.

The gameplay is Batman with new toys. That is something I feel like they dropped the ball a bit. The first time you see the Batmobile is amazing, but they force you to use it so much I got very annoyed. I have some very big issues with this Batmobile. The thing is clunky as hell to drive, and the combat they make you do against the drones starts out fun and turns to a Oh **** you in a hurry. I got very frustrated with this **** vehicle. The gadgets were more useful in combat; unlike in previous games you kind of need to use them to be effective. The new enemies range from an interesting new enemy like the new heavies, and drone operators to why the **** are they in this game. The main new enemy I hated was the medic. The medic can bring guys back after you broke 16 bones in their body. In the predator style these enemies are a big of an issue, but while you're in the middle of a brawl with 20 guys these enemies had me cursing at my tv. The games side missions are all multi-tiered. So if you want to go fight Two Face or Penguin you must do about four similar missions before hand just to punch them in the face. That isn't that bad it was just lacking from Arkham City where you randomly find The Mad Hatter. I like this game don't get me wrong it was a helluva lot of fun, and I do feel like while I may not have enjoyed the changes as much it is still better than them just making the exact same game over and over. This is a new experience to the Arkham games that we needed. I'll be honest I almost went into the Dark Knight quote with the Arkham game we may not want but we deserve. I butchered it. Stop Judging me!

Overall I may have highlighted more I disliked than I liked, but that's only cause the stuffed I liked were thing common to the Arkham games. I would definitely recommend people buy this game if you're fans of the series. If you are unknown it seriously can hurt to rent it, because the other two games are reference but not necessary to the story. I give this a solid 4/5. I have my problems that keep it from a perfect score, but it is Batman and you gotta love the Bats. I leave with a question. Has any of you wonderful gamers ever done the Riddler trophies and challenges?

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Batman AK is an absolute blast to play and overall a great game. It, however, does not move in to the legendary category that its predecessors had due to not being as innovative and being just a touch too repetative,

Arkham Asylum paved the way for the Arkham series and blew away everyone's expectations for a Batman game. Arkham City was hyped to all hell and still managed to be better than the hype surrounding it with its amazing boss fights and unique locations.

Arkham Knight is truly a great experience. Using the batmobile for a while is great. The unique aspects of the story really challenge you to become Batman and be a hero. From start to finish, the game is fun and addictive and being in the shoes of Batman is never disappointing. A lot of the side missions are amazing and range from brawling encounters to detective scenarios to the occasional romps in the Batmobile. If it weren't for how great its predecessors were, this game would be one of the top Action games of all time.

However, Arkham Knight has to follow in the footsteps of the great Arkham City and it makes it hard to love by comparison. Arkham City had some of the most unique boss battles in the last decade of gaming all together - in particular, the evolving tactics of Mr. Freeze and the trippy scenes with Ra's Al Ghul.

There are nearly zero memorable boss encounters in Arkham Knight. The onlys ones that really feel like they challenge you are in the Batmobile. One Batmobile boss would be fine and would make the game feel complete and refreshing, but nearly all of the memorable encounters are in the Batmobile. Then, when you are challenged by Deathstroke 3/4 through the game, you think FINALLY, a boss worth battling! But this is just another Batmobile fight. Disssssapppppointing.

However, the sour taste left by the less innovative parts are more than made up for by the improved battling and Riddler trophies. Of course, if you're looking for a game to complete, this is NOT the game as there are simply too many things to do. If you have more than 150 hours to give to completing this game, then by all means, enjoy all the extras. I'll enjoy the story (including all of the Riddler trophies) without the added fat.

Overall though, this game is an amazing experience and I highly enjoy it and reccomend it. And it will still be a great experience in the coming years!

The Batmobile has two sides, because depending on the mission, it can be very fun to use or frustrating, many people hate the car.

The plot is not bad, but it feels repetitive (if you know the arc "Under the Red Hood") and inferior to the second game of the saga.

It has a good variety of DLCs, that if you get them at a good price you will feel worth it, they have given me some extra fun.

No doubt its ending is sad, but with great weight, I think it could have been better but tried to be as epic as possible.

Nevertheless, Arkham Knight delivers the best game play of the series with a perfectly suited open world while it does leave a bit to be desired when it comes to story, boss fights, and difficulty.

The gameplay is near perfection. The predator and combat sequences have been improved upon with new gadgets and moves and fine tuned to give us the best gameplay in an Arkham game yet. Upon replaying any of the earlier games, it becomes clear that the gameplay was improved by the time Arkham Knight came out. The Batmobile sections, although overused at times, add another fantastic method of transportation around Arkham City. The open world feels the perfect size and is full of Easter eggs and puzzles. The combination of the batmobile and grapple gun gives Batman a variety of options to explore the city.

However, for all of the game’s gameplay achievements, it falls short with its writing. The game’s titular villain turns out to be quite disappointing, a very powerful moment in the game is ruined by a later revelation, and overall the story feels like a bit of underwhelming conclusion to the Arkham trilogy. The secret ending also requires 100% completion and potentially sets up future games. Nevertheless, AK is a massive improvement over Arkham Origins in terms of voice acting and the original cast from the first two games has returned.

The side missions are also particular disappointing and the return of a character who was phenomenal in previous games is lackluster and leaves much to be desired. Along the same lines, the boss fights in this game are particularly bad especially when compared to the iconic boss fights from Arkham City. The boss fights were very much a step in the wrong direction for the series.

Lastly, I found the game to be far too easy. Even when playing on the hardest difficulty, the AI difficulty does not increase, instead all that happens is their damage input increases while your health drops. It would have been great for Rocksteady to make more meaningful difficult changes.

Overal, Arkham Knight has a story and boss fights that fail to live up to consumer expectations following the massive success of Arkham City. Nevertheless, the Arkham freeflow combat and predator sections have been perfected in this game, and yes, it does make you “feel like Batman”.

Why i took 2 points because Scarecrow didn't give me that feeling he is main villian because he mostly runs away from us and the Arkham Knight we see Batmobile more than him and why game is named Arkham Knight if the main villian is Scarecrow. We needed to see Arkham Knight more and he was like a teenager.

Whilst the Bat-mobile feature was met with some scepticism, I REALLY ENJOYED BLOWING **** UP IN THIS THING! The campaign is really well crafted and played out, the voice acting behind these characters are quite fantastic. I wish I could give this game a 10/10, but I really can't. This is due to the fact that SOME of the side-missions take away the momentum/pacing of the game. Nonetheless, it is a wonderful conclusion to the Arkham trilogy and is a must-play. Expand

Bom gameplay, peca pelo uso excessivo do batmobile e das batalhas constantes com os tanques. Poderia ter sido melhor utilizado.

Arkham knight doesn’t hit the high points that City does. But it is a competent game. The mechanics are refined enough to not hamper the experience. The various side quests which neatly wrap with batman encountering a member from his rogues gallery is a nice touch. The main story though, doesn’t work as well.

The graphics are good, the only problem that i have is with the resolution, when you're playing at 1080p looks like you're playing at 720. There are a lot of sidequests to do, but they're very repetitive, for example, if you play the Penguim side quest, you have to follow the truck and destroy the guns in the warehouse every single time. Now, the weakest point in this game is the story, it barely made any sense, especially if you played Arkham City, i mean, the pacing, voice acting and the scenes are very good, but Batman becoming Joker doesn't make sense at all, because Batman drank the cure in Arkham City, so why is he becoming the joker? in Arkham City Batman almost died in a few hours by Joker's disease, so why aren't the other infected dying? How is Batman able to see memories from another person? How Jason Todd survived? Why Scarecrow released the toxin with nobody in Gotham? Why not send Militia tanks with soldiers inside, preventing Batman from destroying them? Did Batman really take control of his body only telling the Joker that his biggest fear was beeing forgotten? There are so many questions without answer, unfortunately the story was very disapointing, but at least the Knightfall protocol was a great ending, in my opinion. Overall, a good game with great graphics, amazing gameplay but with generic quests and a bad story. Expand

The side quests are so simple, funny to do, but have NOTHING else. Some go and defeat enemies, except Azriel quest and " the perfect crime". And is SO boring do 256 riddles. The gameplay is amazing, the AI is genius and a so good level desing. The principal history is cool, the Joker side is really AMAZING. Is so interesting his presence in all parts, he trying to take the control every time. The KnightFall is disapointing to. Bruce Wayne is dead, some have Batman. Great. He killed his life. I do think that much of the criticism of this game has been unfairly harsh, though it is really hard to justify the Batmobile missions, they really are as mind-numbingly terrible as everyone says.

Sehr geil.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Following three fantastic games Arkham Knight, is a flawed but very fun game. Arkham Knight to me feels much more like an epilogue rather than a conclusion to the Arkham story arc. With that adjustment in perspective in mind I really enjoyed my time with Arkham Knight.

My only real grip with Arkham Knight is the Batmobile/city design. It does not feel organic to the environment. At times the city design feels built around the Batmobile rather than the Batmobile just existing on Gotham’s streets. Less is more in this case, just upgrade all your vehicle stats first, cuts down on the frustration. The Arkham series has been consistently one of my favorite gaming series over the past decade and I’m looking forward to spending more time in this world.

IMO this is the best and most complete Arkham game yet, but it lacks some of the charm that games like Asylum & City have due to those games being the start of this "Arkham formula." Here it's a bit tired, but I still think it's terrific. Nowhere near the chore to play that Origins was at times.

ok I'm not gonna talk about story much with this game but the story is ok i mainly want to talk about the gameplay but there may be spoilers so now is your warning also my review is split in the 4 types of game play you will encounter

combat is the same as the last game with more features first the new enemy types are pretty good there are big buff guys that have different weapons like taser fists or shields there not to bad there what you should focus on when you are in a fight but there are also medics who can revive fallen enemies they can be kind of annoying if you don't see them so try and make sure they are down as soon as the fight starts you can pick up weapons from enemies like bats and bash in there skulls there is also the multi fear take down but i will talk about that when i get to the predator sections overall its just as fun as in Arkham city

stealth combat in my opinion is better in this game then in Arkham city like the combat sections there are 2 new enemies in the stealth sections big buff minigunners who need to be taken out last because you make to much noise when there are other enemies still left if you try taking them out and pepole that you cant see with detective mode on there are also normal enemies that can track you if you have detective mode on but batman has a new way of taking care of enemies is fear multi takedowns when enemies fear you you can preform the fear multi takedown it can take down 3 enemies very fast and you can later take down up to 5 at once the only downside is its loud and alerts enemies and there is no more fear but if you can do a stealth takedown fear goes back up but what makes this more fun then Arkham city is how much fun i have strategizing what to do i just sit for a bit and think of a plan who do i take down first then where do i go and get next and always fun when your plan works its the highlight of this game in my opinion

the batmobile is the most controversial part of this game like combat I'm splitting this up in 2 parts regular driving and battle mode

regular driving is really good in this you can drive freely and i like driving around just for fun you can even chase down others cars and slam them into a building i know i did not say much but its all i need to say driving around is good it is fun

battle mode eh its ok for the first half of the game i had fun with it there were plenty of tanks to fight and a verity of ways to destroy them but the second half introduces nothing new and it gets boring this is why i wont give it a 10 or a 9 its the one bad thing in this game

overall its a amazing game i recommend it to pepole who have played one game in the series because it assumes you played a Arkham game before be cause enemies are not gonna hold back 8/10

Batman: Arkham Knight is the best looking game in the series so far, and includes a lot of cool stuff for fans of Batman. But at the same time it’s starting to feel like Rocksteady is almost too comfortable. It lacks new content, except the pretty bad designed Batmobile parts. If you haven’t played the previous games that much you will probably think that this is one of the best games this year.
