    IGN gave this game 8/10, but Odyssey got 9.3/10, but This game is so much better than Odyssey and deserves at least 9/10.

All i can see is some 360 negative reviews and i think at least 150 of them are double/fake accounts because if you look at these negative reviews comments, at least 30 that spotted were about some asian censoring issue and it seemed to be one person, making double accounts and just spamming 0/10's. That just pathetic honestly. I looked at Origins user score and there seemed to be actually lots of people also figuring this same thing out and giving it fair scores, but where are these people now? Did they disappear or something? If anyone reads this from reddit or some Assassin's Creed community, please just spread the word! This user score needs more positive reviews! It literally hurts me that thousands of people are giving likes to AC Valhalla youtube videos, but they can't take 5 minutes to come here and say that they like this game.     Positives so far: Graphics, Story, Likable Characters, Open-world, Variety of Enemies, Secrets, Classic Assassin elements are back.
    Negatives/Could be better: Needs some improvements, but overall very solid, specially after patch 1.0.4 that fixed lots of issues for me.

    Good comeback Ubisoft! This game has way more depth than i expect, hopefully that's how Ubisoft main titles will be from now on. At least AC and Far Cry.

    So far so solid, Assassins Creed Valhalla is a solid rendition of AC. The setting is beautiful, seeing Norway at night is stunning. Graphics are fantastic. Story is cool too, I have nothing bad to say about the story so far. The gameplay is ok, combat feels off. This might be just me, but combat feels like it needs tweaking. The AI is pretty poor, the AI bots take forever to notice you.So far so solid, Assassins Creed Valhalla is a solid rendition of AC. The setting is beautiful, seeing Norway at night is stunning.     Very enjoyable Assassin's Creed entry, i almost gave up after Odyssey because it just got boring. It had nice graphics for 2018, but story was lame and it had too much grinding. But Valhalla turns this ship around completely. Grinding is gone, older AC elements are back, map design is so much better than Odyssey, story is solid, voice acting is good. Would very much recommend trying this!

    I like the settings of Norway and England, the raidings, social stealth is back, combat system with dual wielding weapons is fun and so is treasure hunting.
    I also like the fantasy-like atmosphere with dark forests, fogs, ruins, curses... I needed a game that I just have fun. I do not need anything spectacular or original or ground-breaking. Just pure fun. I enjoyed Ghost of Tsushima and    I like the settings of Norway and England, the raidings, social stealth is back, combat system with dual wielding weapons is fun and so is treasure hunting.

    Great fun, love the setting and Saxon England looks great. The time period they chose is an interesting one too. Exactly what I wanted out of a big, open worlder to be fair. Loads to do to keep you entertained and it's single player so you don't have to deal with anyone else which is nice. It's not quite the witcher 3 but I think it's great for whatever that's worth.

    Super well done Assassin's Creed, so far there's almost nothing i would say that i hate. I just like it more every day. Yeah some bugs, but i can't recall any open-world game that didn't have bugs at launch.

    Here's strong advice, play this with PS4Pro if possible. It's obvious that these new games wont run that well on 2013 consoles, that's just reality. Cyberpunk wont look that great either on base consoles and i can't believe they actually wanna bring Horizon 2 to base consoles.     If you have performance issues, just know that YOU chose to play it on 2013 console. It has literally free upgrade for PS5 version and some people still complain lmao. It should be obvious that it's best to be played on PS5, Xbox Series X or PC. This PS4 version user score doesn't reflect actual state of this game.     Enjoyable assassin's creed experience as expected. I knew they can't just fail two years in a row. It would have been end of Ubisoft. Thank god they are back, nobody makes Assassin's Creed games as well as they do (when they get it right) and this time they did!

    I like this series so much, makes me feel like i'm actually going back in time and thank god they choose Norway-England setting in 2020, so it could be shown with best possible graphics. One of my favorite regions in Europe.

    30 hours in and i'm very confused what "before you buy" was talking about. Maybe he really is just tired of these games and that's fine, but this one is million times better than Odyssey and very good AC game. So yeah, maybe i should trust myself more than watch some youtube videos.

    There's a lot of room for improvements and i bet Cyberpunk comes out before all these can be applied, but i think they will support this game for long time into 2021, so it's all good. So far impressions are very positive.

    PC version is easily best version of this game, but it's really nice what they did with ps5/xbox series x/s. Very beautiful graphics and fun story, i'm sure most AC fans will like it.

    I have always liked Assassin's Creed soundtracks, they hit the nail basically every time, but this one.....this one might be my favorite. Specially main theme, but there's also so many good themes that play while you just free roam. Very well made soundtrack. Been playing around 25 hours i think and story is well written, but what really impressed me was graphics.

    As i have played pretty much every Ubisoft game i would almost say that AC Valhalla might be their best map's they have ever designed. Also, one of the best Assassin's Creed games ever. I already know i'm going to play Valhalla for years to come. Very much content the game.

My top 3 favorite ac games are 4, Unity and Origins (in that order). I also like Syndicate, but not as much as these three. For past 6 years i have been playing 4, Unity and Origins constantly. I have finished Unity almost each year since 2015.I consider myself pretty big Assassin's Creed fan, but i actually don't like early games much. They feel outdated and i'm just not enjoying them. My top 3 favorite ac games are 4, Unity and Origins (in that order). I also like Syndicate, but not as much as these three. For past 6 years i have been playing 4, Unity and Origins constantly. I have finished Unity almost each year since 2015. I'm also playing 4 constantly, but i haven't finished it as much, because it's way longer game and i love to just free roam there. Now i would say that despite not liking 1,3, Revalations or Rogue (i hate to play as Templar), i would say that absolutely loving later games like 4, Unity, Syndicate and Origins makes me as much Assassin's Creed fan, as someone who only likes first 3.

    In fact, i would say i'm bigger fan than these people, because if someone gave up on this series in 2012, then how can you consider yourself a fan? Maybe early fan, but overall if you hate majority of these games, then you are not fan of this series. It's that simple. Why i'm even talking about it is because watching some youtubers making videos "Valhalla disappointed me", "Valhalla is boring" etc, made it very clear that these people were never gonna like Valhalla anyway. No matter what Ubisoft did, these people wouldn't be happy right now and they would still make their videos whining about smallest details that they didn't like.

    Instead of enjoying new games for that they are, instead these people want games to be what they want. That's obviously fair, but again, seems like they have ignored this series since 2012. It was so obvious what Valhalla was going to be. How can you be disappointed, when trailers and Ubisoft people on twitter made it very obvious what this game is going to be. Basically no matter what, these people just wanted Valhalla to be this most basic and boring AC Revalations or AC 3 clone and that's all these people want. That's the only AC game they want and if it's not that, then they are going to hate it. That's the sad reality actual AC fans need to live in, where Ubisoft makes great games, but nostalgic people who can't move on are going to hate these games and make their videos. Main problem with these videos is that these people are very clearly trying to manipulate and make other people believe that this game (and other games) suck. While actually problem is not the game, problem is that they just don't like it. Just cause you don't like something, doesn't mean that it's actually bad ya know?

    Conclusion : I very much enjoyed Valhalla, it's not perfect, but it's way better than Odyssey was. Story is more interesting than Odyssey's story. It has beautiful graphics, not as good as RDR 2, but still good enough and very modern looking. Combat is fun, main character (male Eivor) is very likable and better than main characters in Origins and Odyssey.    … Expand

There's always something to do or somewhere to go and i love it. I bet people who want games to over quickly will hate that, but they should already know what assassin's creed it.     Very fun game. I tried Odyssey before, but leveling took way too long and it just didn't click with me, but Valhalla is different and better. Leveling is actually fast, you get 2 skill points instead of 1 and you get them very often so you can build your power level rather quickly. Nothing stops you moving on with story anymore. World is also designed better than Odyssey.

    I had already lost all hope and basically gave up on Ubisoft, because last year they failed completely and Odyssey wasn't best, it was okay. Far cry 5 was again...just fine. I don't even wanna talk about Ghost Recon..uhh. Anyway, somehow they managed to make good Assassin's Creed game and i'm kinda on board again. For the love of god i hope Far Cry 6 is good, because i like both of these series.

It's still premature to write a proper review, which I'll do in time, but for now, let me just say that Valhalla is truly a labor of love that longtime fans of AC will cherish. It's a beautiful game. There are many innovations and many refinements of conventional AC ideas and mechanics. There are minor glitches that will be resolved in patches,I've completed about 25% of the main story. It's still premature to write a proper review, which I'll do in time, but for now, let me just say that Valhalla is truly a labor of love that longtime fans of AC will cherish. It's a beautiful game. There are many innovations and many refinements of conventional AC ideas and mechanics. There are minor glitches that will be resolved in patches, but nothing that compromises the flow and enjoyment of the game. I put about 400 hours into Odyssey, and I expect to do the same with Valhalla. I couldn't be happier.… Expand

    if you are an original assassins creed fan you will appreciate this game a lot just like origins. you can chose to play stealth or go all out attack in this game it gives you the options. hidden blade is back eith instant kills to make the stealth play even better.

    I would say this might be one of the best ones yet. Graphically absolutely stunning no matter where you go, lighting is so good in this game. Snow effects in Norway are also almost top tier. Story is really long and most of the times interesting. Good.

    Never cared for Odyssey, Valhalla is so much better. No grind as far as i can tell and game is actually interesting this time. You get 2 skill points for basically every mission you complete. Power level goes up fast enough. If someone think this is boring, i'm sure you will your "FUN" out of games like last of us part II.

    Seems to be one of those games i will never stop playing, just like i still play gta 5 single-player from time to time or AC Black Flag. AC Valhalla is very likely new addition to these games that i never stop playing. It has so much content, most of it is interesting, it's fun, combat is sick, i can tell they really worked on this one. Good job Ubisoft and thank you for not disappointing.

    This "Cash Shop" is absolutely meaningless, it's very obvious that you haven't even played the game. I'm 60+ hours in the game and there's absolutely no grind, xp and levels come extremely easily.

    Best Assassin’s Creed yet. Such a well balanced, fun game with a great story. All the best aspects of the franchise here. Plus the game is gorgeous. This is a must play.

As a fan of Vikings and England, the historical setting was perfect for me. England looks very beautiful and is less overwhelming than Odyssey’s Greece. The settlement is also a great new feature and was really fun to upgrade. When you visit larger towns and cities, you can walk around cloaked using social stealth. Walking hooded amongst a couple monks really gave me that original Assassin’s Creed feeling. There are however a couple of bugs in the game. When you start a large raid or battle, the frames drop down a little. There are also some moments where the character seems to get stuck, but none of these bugs where game-breaking or had me reload it. Overall Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a great game, but whether or not you’ll like it, will depend on your personal taste.… Expand

    I finished Black Flag, Unity, Syndicate and Origins while preparing for this and it's so enjoyable so far. Story hooked me from the beginning and i love sailing in Norway, super relaxing. Combat is very brutal this time.

I was reading some of the negative "reviews" and most of them are not actual reviews, it's either people writing "ubisoft sucks" or about some asian censorship issue. So without counting these (and there's 10's of these) this user score should be actually way higher, but hopefully it goes up in future when dlc's come out.     To be completely honest, it's one of three games (other two are doom eternal and final fantasy 7 remake) i have truly enjoyed in 2020 and even at that, it might take top spot. Yes i'm hardcore Assassin's Creed fan, but it could have been easily boring and grindy like Odyssey, but it isn't It's absolute opposite. Amazing.

    Assassins Creed Valhalla is a wonderful addition to the AC franchise. It manages to avoid the tropes that became overplayed and focuses on a small well structured story. The fighting mechanics are enjoyable and offer many choices to fit different playing styles. There are a significant amount of bugs and the AI is underwhelming at times. But it's still another step in the right direction for Ubisoft.
