Mar 28, 2019Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered, without correcting the major structural problems of the original, is still a recommended title as a complete edition of a way of making games that Ubisoft no longer implements.

Apr 8, 2019Rediscovering Assassin’s Creed III on this remastered version is a bit weird. The game still retains a great vision on representing the American Revolution, but it’s also clear that their ambitions for Connor’s adventure were too grand. Despite its renovated graphics the game still suffers technical issues both old and new. Only the inclusion of the Assassin’s Creed Liberation chapter could still make this game worth a try.

Apr 29, 2019Assassin's Creed III Remastered is a mixed bag. It's repetitive combat and lackluster visuals, strung through with a few bright spots of naval combat and exploration, and unique displays of combat. Narratively, the game is as weak as they come. There's no mystery. Just an obligatory plot to finish the fight between the Assassins and Templars. Not to mention the mumbo jumbo with the First Civilization. The game is frustrating and not worth another look.

Apr 21, 2019Assassin's Creed III Remastered version is just a nice try. It's a nice try to bring glory to a mediocre game, which hasn't been good enough upon its release and surely isn't good enough now. The UI changes definitely improve the gameplay, and the graphics are truly amazing - but still aren't close to other games from this era. If you haven't played it before, you might want to check it off your list since it does have a unique story. If you have, I recommend not wasting your time unless you're feeling really, really nostalgic and have nothing better to do.

Apr 8, 2019In the end, Assassins Creed 3 is one of the best remakes of this generation, and although changing gameplay mechanics in a remake is not something usual, Ubisoft's decision to take this risk pays off.
-
Mar 31, 2019Beside the visual enhancements and some tweaked mechanics this game still suffers from the same donwfalls as the original one, players who didn't play the original may enjoy the plentiful content and the Tyranny of King Washington DLC.

Mar 30, 2019In short, nothing collected here is as good as the best this series has to offer. But, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered is a welcome glimpse into an era that would define much in the years to come.
-
Mar 28, 2019If you never played the original version, you should certainly give it a go, but if you were never a fan, the limited improvements to movement and the variety of glitches puts a downer on proceedings.

Mar 28, 2019It would appear the latest retread in the Assassin’s Creed franchise has learned from the underwhelming efforts of Rogue Remastered, which saw a graphical overhaul alongside little else. Assassin's Creed III Remastered brings far more to the table, seeing otherwise frustrating mechanics heavily tweaked and polished to make them less of an annoyance in the shadow cast by the likes of Origins and Odyssey. As much as this remaster can’t address the fundamental creases that the series re-imagining has worked so hard to iron out, it still retains its own sense of charm and is wonderfully reminiscent of the series' roots, paying great homage to the progress it’s made since.
-
Mar 29, 2019An interesting pack full of content from a former Assassin’s Creed era. While the story and setting is one of the most interesting ones in the franchise history, mechanically it shows the age of the original and is evident of the progress the AC games made since then.
-
Mar 31, 2019Assassin's Creed III remastered contains a lot of content and you will definitely enjoy playing it. Still it still feels like a game which was released years ago. Not a must have, rather a nice to have.

May 21, 2019For better or worse, Assassin's Creed III Remastered introduces the polarising Connor Kenway to current generation consoles. Aside from some impressive graphical reworking, it is in many ways a simple port: bugs and issues with the original remain largely the same outside of some much-appreciated quality of life improvements and a handful of minor tweaks. Those who enjoyed the original, as well as Assassin's Creed fans who haven't yet played it, will likely appreciate this remaster for what it is, as long as nothing revolutionary is expected of it.
-
Apr 28, 2019This remaster doesn’t bring much in terms of new content, and visual changes that are headlined aren’t done as well as they should be. In that regard, it still holds up as a great Assassin’s Creed game that is worthy of any fan’s money.
-
Apr 5, 2019Despite a beautiful lick of paint, and some much-needed gameplay improvements, Assassin's Creed III Remastered still suffers from the same issues that dogged the original back in 2012.
-
Apr 4, 2019Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered is a very interesting history lesson, but not in the way you might expect it to be. This is one of the most talked about games ever, and it still shows how Ubisoft overestimated itself.
-
Apr 1, 2019Even a high-quality remaster such as this can’t hide the fact that Assassin’s Creed III is too much a product of its time and has little to offer modern gaming.

Mar 28, 2019Basically, Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered is better looking, but that’s about it. It’s the same game for better or worse, complete with all the bugs and awkwardness that were disliked the first time around, but also with the stuff that people enjoyed. The bugs are too numerous for me to really recommend it, but they were there last time round as well. If you could ignore them then, you can probably ignore them now and enjoy the game’s positives, but it’s still a shame that Ubisoft couldn’t have rounded off more of the rough edges in this remaster.
